Well I did say that the show wasn't canon to this RP. Just that the RP would be inspired by some of the key points of the original source lore such as Saiyans and their powers and the races like Namekians and Frost Demons.

Anywho, when it comes to Nira, she's more a "I power up by training" kind of girl by the sound of it. Either that or extreme sadness from the loss of someone close to her. So basically emotional trauma is a catalyst for temporary power ups in battle. But again, the key word is "temporary."
 
Hmm right, so ill likely go with her capitalizing on people falling into that trap of power in exchange for clear thinking for most points if possible. Given her particular style that does seem to fit.

I'm pretty certain it's balanced enough to be utilized in the RP.... But I'm unsure. PlusUltra PlusUltra ... Since you have a good character that has been accepted, can you please look at mine and see if there is any further balancing needed ? I'm not trying to bother you, but you seem to have a good idea on what is or is not acceptable other than the Creator of the RP.
 
I mean straight off the Multiple forms starting off, id bring Power Level down to around mine and snows, the format is difficult to read, 6 armed ape seems a bit off. Feels like a Brolly Copy at parts and especially with the entire limiter thing....really not sure it fits.

Thats just at a quick read, may have missed stuff though due to the layout/limited reading space on the post causing having to scroll alot due to how squashed it is.
 
Sorry about the awful formatting. I'll try to do better... But it's hard determining which code has the greatest readability but also the easiest to utilize in both Mobile + Desktop without it being wonky at times .

I can always take out the limiter and make it solely a emotional limitation... If that helps somewhat . I wanted to at least utilize the Ikari part for some aspect of a DBZ RP. That's probably why it seems like a Broly Clone when that was not at all my attention.

The Transformations are more of a temporary power up that cannot be accessed for long. Compare & Contrast with your characters' rage boosts (but these take the form of a transformation) except you can still go on if i am not mistaken... meanwhile my character is down the minute he uses any bit of that power. While I agree that your logic makes sense involving the forms being a bit too much at the start of this RP... Or could be saved for when you gain transformations and only use like a temporary rage boost at best..... I'm going to wait solely on what ChoShadow ChoShadow says about that type of thing. The Asura Arms I'll remove as soon as possible.

Hey there.

So... Whoooooo boy do I have a lot to say here ;^^

Okay. There are some things I like about this character, but there's also a whole lot of things I don't like. So, to get them out of the way, we'll start with the dislikes. And please, as a note, don't take anything I'm about to say as me yelling, lecturing, or trying to be mean. I'm just being informative.

So here we go:

1) The whole Ikari thing is rubbing me the wrong way. As a warrior race with anger-induced power boosts already practically a part of their very DNA, the fact that you're playing a Saiyan is enough on its own to say "when he gets pissed off he gets stronger." It's part of Saiyan nature. So the idea of him turning this anger into something of a "special" power source or unique transformation is kind of ridiculous. Super Saiyan, and almost all forms afterward, are already rage/powerful emotional upheaval induced transformation(s). The Ikari is kind of pointless given this fact, and it was an otherwise unexplained anime-only exclusive transformation with Trunks in DBS. Because it goes without proper explanation other than "he's really, REALLY mad!!!" I cannot allow it to exist in this RP.

2) Going with the elimination of the Ikari, this point is sort of moot. However, I'm going to state it anyway. As I said earlier in this OOC thread, your most powerful attacks are only as powerful as your character. There are no power multiplying techniques like we saw in the show. Your strongest attack is basically all of your base form's power focused into one shot. You can't output more energy than you actually have because to do so flies in the face of the laws of physics. If your power at base is 13,000, that's as much energy as you can focus into your most powerful attack. So any "tapping into this power" attacks that output more energy than your character has at base when fully powered up is a no-go.

3) I don't mind your character having broken a few records among the Saiyan Race, such as being the first to reach a certain power level by a certain age like Nomiya did. But saying he's the "Only One" to ever unlock this Ikari power is just ridiculous. If he's capable of it, so too are/were others as a basic principle of genetics. Someone had to have had it before he did or else it wouldn't exist in the Saiyan genome at all unless it's synthetic. But again, the Ikari is being removed so this isn't really that big of a problem anymore. However I'd be remiss if I didn't point it out.

4) Prodigies are far too easily abused in RP's of this nature. Almost every single one I've ever encountered saw their player explaining away ludicrous growth/advancement as "Well he/she's a prodigy, so naturally they're going to get this massive boost because (insert self-serving reasons here)." So him being a prodigy has to go. It's just too easy to God-Mod your way out of potentially unfavorable situations when you have "prodigy" as an excuse to fall back on. I realize that you tried to take steps to minimize the effectiveness of his prodigious nature, but I still can't allow it.

5) The whole point of having the "Age 21+" rule is to eliminate children or child-like characters from the initial cast. But you went right around that with "he looks 16." Sadly, I can't allow that. I understand wanting to have a younger character, but this RP isn't intended for child/teen character at the beginning. If later on down the line our adults have kids of their own through developed romances, then that's one thing. But I won't allow children/teens in the main cast to start the RP, even in appearance. I need to see an adult.

So, that's the dislikes about the character. And now for what I did like about this character:

1) I like that this character has kind of a two-faced personality in that he's both shy and polite, yet savage when pushed in conflict. This could easily remain as part of your character's personality and become a core component of who he is in the RP if you keep it. A shy, quiet, almost reclusive young man who, if pushed in battle, starts brawling more savagely and behaving in a way more akin to the Great Ape by nature of behavior rather than because he's channeling the Great Ape as Broly did in the newest film is something I can definitely get behind. We don't really have a true berserker character yet, and I'm all for it so long as it's believable and more soundly constructed. So if you want him to retain this kind of two-faced personality and berserker brawler combat style when he's angered or otherwise pushed to extremes because of overactive Saiyan genetics, then I'm good! (Still no huge power increases, but definitely at least a doubling of power when he's really entered rage mode in full would be okay)

2) I like the idea that his parents tried to restrain him using the choker. Even if his power doesn't go absolutely out of control when he's in rage mode, the idea that his parents feared what he might become is still an intriguing one even if it doesn't go much further than a rough doubling of power when fully energized by rage. That rage and the influxes of power that came with it would be enough to concern any parent, Saiyan or otherwise. So if you want to keep this in the profile and backstory as well then I'm all for it.

3) Him being the cause of his father's death due to rage mode is still possible and still an idea I can get behind. If his power level was already growing strong enough by the time of his father's death, then perhaps the berserker mode, when fully energized, was just enough to push his power to heights where his father couldn't properly defend himself when caught off guard by it. And thus his father died due to his son's explosive rage because he pushed him too far and didn't prepare himself for potential backlash.

So that's what I liked about him.

Sooo... Yeah. I'm sure after reading all of this, even if there are positives to be spoken of, you might be inclined to back away from the RP because reworking a character as much as I'm asking you to is a lot of work. But if you don't mind reworking him and letting me know when you're done, I'll gladly give him another examination when you're done and see if he is more suited to the RP afterwards.

It's a fairly small world with primarily frozen tundra as the environment with sparse icy forests and large mountain ranges. It has some large oceans, but the water/land ratio is only around 22% water to 78% land. So it's mostly ice-land.

It has a small population of indigenous humanoids, but they're incredibly primitive and have little to no technology to speak of.
 
Also, just in case anyone was wondering for Saiyans... The Wrath State used by Broly in Dragon Ball Super: Broly is not a thing in this RP.

Harnessing the power of a great ape in human form is officially canon for the manga/anime for Broly as a character, but it's not going to be canon or usable for this RP. The reason being is it's too out there and easy to use as a God-Mod excuse.

So to keep it simple and up front: no Wrathful State (Broly, DBS: Broly), no Legendary Super Saiyan, no Golden Great Ape, no Super Saiyan 4, no Super Saiyan Rose, no Super Saiyan Rage (Trunks in DBS), no Super Saiyan White, no Ultra Instinct (yes, I know it's a technique, not a Transformation, but it's still God-Mode in a handbasket)

Slight update to the Lore Page!!

Destroying a planet in this RP takes a power level of at least 250,000, not 10,000 like Vegeta did in the original DBZ franchise early on in his appearance.

Works for me, Likely seen as Bizzare given her approach to fights and the Power Level/Effort put in not matching up with what she achieves. So even with PL Difference she still matches them. (If im thinking of right character.)

Like with that previous example i recall about certain attacks not working with Power Level Difference, she closes that cap do to rather than that power over a wide area, its focused/condensed to a single point to get same effect a overall stronger attack would.
 
indeed that one. null is his name. he is...weird so it wouldn't seem as bizarre as one would think, though i am sure that would be a trait he enjoys about their sparring sessions.
 
Yeah was going atypical with Nira, inspired closer with a few concepts, but perhaps more Dragon Ball than Dragon Ball Z+. IE When it was more technique/skills over just higher PL. (Also RPN seemed to go down for a minute for me there)

Same here on both accounts. The negative ki and minor body morphs make Null a far cry from the usual fighter in the DB franchise.

Honestly I'm really excited for it, especially in a DB RP that focuses more on character interaction than combat, it opens way for so many possibilities and ideas. That's a really brief explanation tho lol
