Name: Prince Nikolas Henriksen The Second

Nickname: He goes by Nikolas Rolf to avoid bein discovered.

Physical Description: Many people don't recognize this man as the former Prince, despite how much of a public eye he was under. He has shorn his hair short, grown a short beard, and often dresses in cheap, poor clothing, and has a sword at his waist. He stands at about 6'1", and is muscular from years of battle training.
Personality: Very even-tempered and wise, he never rushes into things such as war or alliances. He always views every side of a story before picking a side, and tries to be neutral in any available circumstance, which leads many to mistrust him. Nikolas is kind to those who deserve it, and trusts those who have done nothing to lead him to think otherwise. He is very merciful, however when his trust in a person has been sullied too many times, he becomes far less so.
Story: Once the crown prince of Darewen, Nikolas had it all. People loved and admired him, he was in line for the throne, he had everything he could ever want. But before he could take over the throne, his family chose his brother over him, and made him an outcast. He was banished from his kingdom, his reputation sullied. His brother spread rumors that he was stealing from the kingdom, that he was a traitor. Even if Nikolas tried to regain his throne, the public would hate him.

When his kingdom was destroyed, Nikolas immediately sought out to retake it, to save it despite what the public believed about him.

Physical Description: Standing just above six feet, Ven is tall and broad-shouldered, nearly 200 pounds of hard, wiry muscle. He keeps his dark hair combed (or sometimes tousled) though he occasionally lets it grow out a bit more, and may sport a rough beard. His body bears numerous scars, mostly from minor scraps and brawls from days past, and as such, most of them have faded by now.

Personality: Venden is a charming fellow, first and foremost. He's often described as a lovable, charismatic cutup who enjoys evenings at the tavern with friends, drinking, telling stories, and playing games of dice. As a guardsman, however, he's capable of being punctual and proper whenever necessary. Sensible and determined, he's fiercely devoted to his role as a law enforcer, and holds to such beliefs as being honorable and obeying the law. A man of compassion, he never hesitates to put himself into dangerous situations in order to help someone out, even at the cost of his own well-being. He will defend those he cares about until his last breath.

Story: Born in raised in the capital as the youngest son of a carpenter and a seamstress, Venden Dyne lived a relatively normal childhood. He was close with his brothers, Valis and Eamon, had a healthy enough social life, and received a decent education. He spent his free time divided between books and playing with his friends, running around in the streets and roughhousing with kids his age. Ven's father saw fit to teach him and his brothers how to fight, being ex-military himself. While his brothers never quite seemed to be the combative type, Venden took to the principles of combat like a fish to water.

Soon after he turned sixteen, Ven enlisted in the City Guard, where he found structure, discipline, and a worthy cause. It was during this time that he became rather close with one of his fellow guardsmen. Therran had swept Ven off of his feet, and his parents were pleased to see that he'd married for love. The two eventually came to the decision to buy a home in a quiet part of town, away from the general hustle and bustle of city square.

Four years ago, Ven was offered the position, which he cautiously accepted. He'd tried to the best of his ability to make himself worthy of the responsibility placed upon his shoulders. He would not fulfill it.

Personality: Quite fierce, unforgiving. Anyone who hurts her wouldn't live to tell the tale. She doesn't believe rumors and rarely trusts strangers.
Story: She doesn't have much of one. She taught herself to fight at a young age, and has been a hired mercenary ever since.

Personality: Rude, Stubborn, Courageous, Unemotional, soft spot for children and animals, witty, intelligent, cautious, paranoid, strong both with her mind and body, and creative.
Story: Jade was born out of wedlock to a Duchess mother and Mercenary father and was never accepted into either life. In short, no one wanted her and she wanted no one. Because of this upbringing, she fell right in with gypsies and loved the idea of traveling the world and never needing anyone ever. Since then she has come to care for a few people but will hide just how loyal she is to them. She made up her last name from the last name of a person that once saved her life. Due to her paternal lineage, she also has learned fighting skills that could easily match her father's, incase she were to ever run into him.

Personality: Milandrius prefers to get straight to the point on some things, and likes to all together evade others. Rude, sarcastic, and blunt at times, but genuinely caring despite his usually bitter, reserved self. The less people who are near him in any given time, or if he's around animals, he's more relaxed and open to talk. He's loyal and brave, strong-willed when it comes to something he desires, but will not put anyone's life before his own unless you've proven it to be worth it. And while he's quick to love, he's slow to trust. So, he keeps to himself and remains in his self-placed loneliness.
Story: Orphaned with his two sisters in their younger years since their father disappeared one night after their mother died giving birth to Hyacinthia. They were eventually adopted by an old woman and her husband who acted as the town's vet clinic.
Milandrius apprenticed them and took care of Hyacinthia when Evelyn married and moved away with her husband, Clarence. After their grandparents, Milandrius and his sisters had dubbed the kind old couple this, passed away months apart, Milandrius took over the clinic.
When news of the invading empire arrived in the town, he sent Hyacinthia away to head to neighbouring lands for safety. He stayed to help protect his town - his kingdom. Little did he know, hell had been released under the cowardly prince's reign.
