I never know how to start these...

Uh, welcome to the inner workings of my mind! Who knows what you'll find inside. Take a look and maybe something will strike your fancy.

Lemme know if you need any samples of my writing (and I'll see if I can dig something up b/c I forget to save anything, I stg)

Go ahead and chat me up in this thread or send me a PM if, god forbid, you're interested in any of this weird shit.

About Me

Call me she/her, if you please.

I’m a fairly experienced writer with a degree in English; I've been writing and roleplaying for about eight or nine years.

My favorite genre's dark fantasy, but I do love me some science fiction and horror as well. I love body horror to the point where it's weird. Lovecraftian horror, too. I'm into monsters, magic, and mad science, oh my.

Posting

If you're lazy but committed, you're probably the right fit. I'd rather have someone who posts once a month but never disappears than someone who needs to post once a day but gets bored and vanishes before we get to the good stuff.

Please note that I'm not someone who posts frequently. I post erratically and it might take weeks between posts, so please don't hit me up if that doesn't suit you!

On the upside, I don't put out any fluff and I don't hit submit until the post is up to my standards. My posts are usually around 300-500 words, but they can get up to around 1500 if I'm in the mood.

I basically never get bored of roleplays, so if you want to take a break for like, a couple months or something, that's cool. I'll still respond when you come back. I'd prefer you tell me first if you want to take a long break, though, rather than keeping me hanging!

I only roleplay in forums. I don't do roleplays over chat or PMs, sorry!

Who I’m looking for:
  • An experienced writer with great spelling and grammar. Everything you write should be perfectly legible.
  • Someone who isn’t afraid to try out weird/new/dumb ideas. Hit me with ‘em.
  • This is a big one: Someone who won’t put the onus of the work on me. Work with me, baby.
  • Someone willing to communicate with me OOC about the RP, or just in general. I like chatting.
If you have any triggers or if there’s anything makes you uncomfortable (abuse, certain types of trauma, etc.) please let me know (in private). I don't usually go to terribly dark places in my writing, but you never know.

By the way, I'm not looking for characters of any particular sex, gender, or sexual orientation. I don't give a shit. Play whatever you want to play.

What I won’t do:
  • One-liners
  • Slice-of-life
  • Canon characters
  • Most fandoms
  • Kinks and fetishes
Favorite genres/subgenres:
  • Fantasy
    • Dark fantasy
    • Modern fantasy
    • Superheroes
    • Steampunk
    • Various fairytales and folklore
  • Horror
    • Body horror
    • Horror comedy
    • Cosmic horror
  • Science fiction
    • Dark science fiction
    • Cyberpunk
    • Mechs
  • Chanbara (samurai period drama)
  • Mafia
  • Magical girls
  • Any combination?!
Favorite settings:
  • Fantasy worlds
  • Medieval England
  • Victorian England
  • Tokugawa Japan
  • The Roaring '20s
  • The dystopian future
Cravings

I am majorly craving:
  • a roleplay based heavily on Little Shop of Horrors. With me playing the "plant," and my partner playing the unwitting human. Feed me, Seymour.
  • I dunno why, but I wanna do a roleplay loosely based on Cells at Work where you play a white blood cell who reluctantly partners up with a bacteriophage (I'm really fascinated with bacteriophage therapy and immune system/bacteriophage synergy) . See plots for details
  • Something with a witch (male or female) and a familiar, where the familiar slowly becomes more intelligent the more the witch draws on its power

Pairings - preferences in bold

Any sort of monster x Monster hunter (not the series)
Witch x Familar
Mad scientist x Creation
Samurai x Yokai (I have a plot for this)
Superhero x Supervillain

Plots

The roles I'd like to play are in bold.

White blood cell x Bacteriophage

Royal Investigator x Yokai
The shogun sends a top investigator to solve the mystery surrounding disappearances and odd behavior in a noble household

"Somnambulist" x Bodyguard (Fantasy)
We'll Meet Again in Our Dreams

Human x Parasite (Fandom, Sci-fi, Body Horror)
Based on Parasyte: The Maxim
Parasyte: The Second Wave
Nobody knows where they came from, or who sent them or why. All we knew for certain was that with their arrival, our days sitting comfortably on top of the food chain were over. The parasites had arrived, and had brought with them an insatiable hunger.

Five years have passed since the parasites first started taking over human hosts. While most were simple-minded predators, others acted in more unpredictable ways. Some parasites were more adaptable than others, more "human" than others.

Eventually, with the aid of sympathetic humans, some even began to make demands. They felt entitled to "human" rights: in particular, the right to live without fear of persecution. They were, they argued, intelligent life, and thus had just as much right to life as any human.

Those demands were eventually silenced. The parasites slunk back into the shadows, accepting that they would never be considered human, adapting to lives of quiet solitude. After a while, life resumed such a sense of normalcy that humankind had almost forgotten that there was ever an invasion.

On the morning everything changed, a normal high school student wakes up to the sound of an unfamiliar voice in their bedroom:

"I've failed..."

Assorted Other Stuff

I'd also like to do:
  • something with magical girls. Maybe magical girls in a dystopian future who fight each other in mech suits? Idk chat me up if you have any ideas.

OOOH! Dark fantasy! And other fantasy! And Steampunk! And Dystopias! I see so many things I love here <3
Are those three plots the only ones you'd play, or would you be interested in hearing plots from this side here? I have some ideas brewing in my mind, which I'd love to share with you. It's nothing with magical girls in mech suits, though. Just weird systems having taken over humanity, brainwashed people... that kinda stuff ^_^

If not... I'd definitely be interested in the Fox Bride/Groom one ^_^
Probably also the Slayer/Dragon one. That sounds funny

This list that you have is right up my alley, honestly. I've always been interested in rping stuff like steampunk and also mecha. Magical girls is an uncommon topic in my experience as well. I also know a little about Japanese folklore and tradition. These topics all look so interesting I wish I could do them all! So I would want to try the Samurai x Fox Spirit.

A little bit about me: I have a minor in East Asian studies and have studied Japanese folklore in some of my coursework. I'm a major weeb and have extensive knowledge in the magical girl trope, both the light things like Cardcaptor Sakura and the dark things like Magical Girl Raising Project.

If you're interested, pm me~

Right, so the main idea I've got is that the story is set in some sort of utopian dystopia. An unknown civilization took over the Earth... by accident. They were friendly aliens who helped the Earth with technological progress. However, sooner rather than later, tech got ahead of humanity. The aliens vanished, and the new technology (mostly AI) took over the world and turned humanity into more or less brainwashed servants. There's some people who managed to break free from the brainwash and are now trying to destroy "The Heart", technology's center and main base. Those people believe that once they shut down The Heart, technology's influence will wear off and humanity can continue on their merry way. There's a catch, however: some AI looks and acts SO MUCH like humans, the people of the Resistance aren't quite sure whom they can really trust or who might be a spy.

Another one I have is (loosely) based on a novel I'm writing. Steampunk setting. The Heiress to the Copper Throne flees her home because she just really wants to get out for a little while and explore what's soon to be her kingdom. She decides it's a smart idea to sneak on board of a ship, just to take a look... and figures out the ship belongs to sky pirates. Cue adventures and weirdness here, especially when she figures out a part of the crew has all the reason to want her dead (but, they don't know she's the heiress. Whoopsie)

And lastly, one that still needs some fleshing out. Fantasy setting. Something happened, probably a disaster of sorts. This thing caused all the gods of the world to vanish, or at least lose contact with the mortal world. This leaves plenty of room for doomsayers to say the end is neigh, people trying to create their own gods/goddesses, and even people trying to ascend to godhood themselves. I think it'd be fun if one of the characters would be one of the (former) deities who went to the mortal world because they also really want to figure out what happened.

What do you think?

(as for your own plots, my #1 would be the fox/samurai, dragon/slayer would be #2)
