Born between the union of a monster and a human, their human parentage is kept quiet from everyone at Draven Academy, even the faculty and Headmaster. Halfbreeds generally present as fully monster, until fear or anger triggers their fight or flight response, upon which their monstrous features would revert to reveal their human form. This means that unless their human form emerges, it would be hard for full-blooded monsters to detect them.

Gorgon

Silver is a metal that is harmful to all monsters regardless of what type they are. Halfbreeds can be harmed while in their monster form but it is not as lethal to them as it is to other monsters due to their human parentage.

Sunlight does not burn vampires, but it is uncomfortable for them. The Academy has a barrier around school that allows sunlight to filter through but blocks the harmful affects. Wolfsbane is lethal to werewolves.
