The S.D.I.C is an organization dedicated to the investigation and containment of supernatural anomalies and anomalous objects.

What is a supernatural anomaly?

Answer: A supernatural anomaly is a paranormal being or object that defies and distorts all known laws of science and physics, therefore proving that the human understanding of the universe is a falsehood.

What are the classifications of supernatural anomalies?

Answer: The classifications of anomalies depends on multiple factors, including diets, habitats, and threat levels.
The threat levels are of the following:
1: Benign- Lowest level, non-threat, cooperative with containment and research protocols.
Containment levels at a minimum.
2: Prey- Will fight back if threatened, low threat level, fairly cooperative with containment and research protocols, but may disagree if stressed.
Containment levels at a minimum.
3: Fiend- Slightly more aggressive than Beign and Prey, threat level low, may pose issues with containment and research protocols, but otherwise cooperative.
Containment levels low to minimum
4: Beast- More aggressive than previously levels, threat level low to moderate, containment and research protocols more challenging, but achievable with coercion or intimidation.
Containment levels low to moderate.
5: Revenant- Extremely aggressive, threat level moderate, proceed with caution, containment and research protocols must be forced on subject unless stated otherwise.
Containment levels moderate.
6: Beelzebub- Dangerous, will fight back at every given moment. Threat level moderate to high. Containment and research protocols difficult to enforce without force and/or a Riftlink, proceed with caution.
Containment levels moderate to high.
7: Midas- Dangerous, will fight back at every given moment. Threat level high. Actively attempts containment breach. Must be dealt with with force and/or a Riftlink. Proceed with caution.
Containment levels high.
8: Apollyon- Extremely dangerous, do not engage without fire support and a Riftlink. Will breach containment at every opportunity. Threat level high to extreme. Must be dealt with with extreme prejudice and a Riftlink present.
Containment levels high.
9: Belial- Life Threatening. Do not engage without at least three Riftlinks present. If containment breached, initiate SERAPHIM PROTOCOLS. Threat level high to extreme. Proceed with extreme caution.
Containment levels High to Maximum.
10: Abaddon- P.E level threat. Must be terminated if containment is breached, otherwise risk the extinction of all life. Must have two to four full man units and at least ten Riftlinks to subdue. Do not approach unless ordered or necessary.
Containment levels Maximum

What creatures would fall under a supernatural anomaly?

Answer: Any and all creatures/objects that defy the laws of science and physics.

List of creatures:
Angels- Rarely seen, Angels are celestial beings that occasionally come down to earth, usually with a message or a quest for someone. The S.D.I.C has yet to contain one, and sees no reasons outside of "Fallen" angels needing to be contained.
Banshee(s)- Spirits that bring an omen of death, to hear ones deathly howl is an omen of oncoming death, whether it be you or someone else. Feeds off the life essence of those whims death it predicts. Usually inhabits bogs. Three have been contained, two have been terminated. Listed as Threat Level 5, containment moderate.
Demons- Dark beings from multiple cultures, Demons are extremely cunning, but will usually cooperate with whomever they make a deal with, though some are mindless beast and must be dealt with. Threat Level 6-9, Containment High to Extreme.
Siren- Humanoid woman with the lower portion of an aquatic fish. Will lure people in with enchanting voice before devouring them. Fairly uncooperative.
Threat Level 4-7, Containment Moderate to High
DJinn- Extremely dangerous demons from the Middle East. Trickery is their game, outwit them to beat them.
Vampires- Extremely unpredictable. Creatures of the darkness, must proceed with caution. Does not drink blood, but eats meat, will devour prey entirely if given the chance, feeding them for months. Threat Level 1-10, containment depending on cooperation.
Spirits/Spectres/Wraiths/ETC- Any and all kinds of spiritual beings contain a "soul", and this can manifest in multiple forms or ways. Most are classified as levels 1-3, but some are recorded as 5 and higher. Containment is minimum for most, whilst more dangerous ones are contained in varying degrees.
Wendigo- A creature of Indigenous folklore, mostly ranging from the Northern/North Eastern US, and parts of Canada, this creature is said to be a human turned cannibal beast due to starvation in winter. Popular media portrays them as deer or elk like monstrosities, whilst folklore legend states they appear as frost born mummies with powers over time and space. As the SDIC has never encountered one, more research must be done in the creature, if one can even be contained. Threat Level and containment level is unknown.
Skinwalker- A creature appearing across multiple cultures, it's said this creature can be multiple things, but most popular is the Navajo iteration, a witch or shaman that has dabbled in "black magic" and can shape shift into a near perfect disguise of any animal as long as it wears its pelt/skin. SDIC personnel have yet to encounter one, and, much like a Wendigo, not much is known about these creatures, though it is assumed safe to perceive them as an immediate threat, and personnel are advised to bring at least one Riftlink with them in order to combat/contain said creature.

What are the currently occupied/open positions within the SDIC?

Answer: There are multiple open/occupied positions.

ACCESSING CHAIN OF COMMAND DATABASE

HIGH RANKING POSITIONS:
HEAD COUNCILMEN: OCCUPIED, MUST BE CHOSEN BY THE ROOSEVELT FAMILY
HEAD OF SECURITY: UNOCCUPIED, MUST BE FILLED ASAP
HEAD OF RESEARCH: UNOCCUPIED, MUST BE FILLED ASAP
HEAD OF INVESTIGATION: UNOCCUPIED, MUST BE FILLED ASAP
HEAD OF INTERNAL RELATIONS: UNOCCUPIED, MUST BE FILLED ASAP
HEAD OF EXPERIMENTATION: UNOCCUPIED, MUST BE FILLED ASAP

What are "Riftlinks" and what do they do?

Answer: A Riftlink is a H.S.P.P(Human with Supernatural Psychic Prowess) that's due to a E.S(Evolutionary Surge) Event, leading to at least 35-45% of the worlds population becoming psychically evolved and made aware of the Supernatural 4th and 5th Dimensions. Out of the 35-45%, only 25% make it to adulthood, and only 5% are actually saved/contained by the S.D.I.C due to human superstitions of human possession. Many Riftlinks have unique powers, but the purpose of a Riftlink, after due research, is to act as a way to both combat and close off the Rift and it's Rift Breaches. Powers defer between person, and each as unique as the last.

What is the "Rift"?

Answer: The Rift is not fully understood. What we do know is that the Rift has begun to appear in great abundance around 1915, ten years after the birth of the S.D.I.C, and is the leading cause of many of the Earths most recent and crazed events, from harmless to cataclysmic. Its also theorized that the Rift is actually a combination of the 4th, 5th, and 6th dimensions, and is the birthplace of most supernatural anomalies, though the exact method of them coming into our existence still requires further study.

are you going to at some point define the Rift and Riftlinking/Riftlink individuals at some point? It's mentioned in the CS a couple of times as well as within the threat levels, and I so far have no real idea what thats about.

Yea, I am, I have a lot of stuff to add, so I'm taking it slow for now. This is honestly one of biggest projects I've ever worked on, you can even ask Savannahsmiles, too many have died before they took off, and I'm not gonna let this one die lmfao

I just noticed a class revenant- the revenant referenced under Eddie's fears is a necromancer from his past

Well, the classification and creature revenant are separate from one another. A revenant would actually be a class 7, due to them actively hunting humans and other anomalies, but I'll definitely incorporate the creature in for your character later down the line.
