NAME: Tomar 'Kitsune' Lien.

AGE: 19.

GENDER: Male.

APPEARANCE: Standing at 191 centimetres, with a fairly average weight for someone of his build, Tomar is a fox faunus who does not attempt to hide his race, unlike many other faunus. He has two proud, prominent yellow fox ears atop his head, that match the blond colour of his long hair, and a long yellow fox tail with a white tip. The tail, even with his height, almost reaches the floor and is pretty bushy. His face is masculine, yet not in a bulky fashion but in a more sharp way, and he has two royal purple eyes that seem to be ever calculating.

Even though he is from Vacuo, his parents are from Menagerie and as such tend to wear more traditional faunus clothing. That, in turn, gave Tomar a taste for tradition. As a result, he wears a Japanese (of course, Japan doesn't exist in either RWBY or Monster Hunter, and I'm just saying it for your benefit) style kimono which, combined with his fox features and his natural handsomeness, gave him the nickname 'Kitsune'. He doesn't seem to mind it - kitsunes are meant to be incredibly powerful and clever beings, after all. It's a compliment, really, when you think about it. His kimono is made in such a way that it can either be worn normally, like a dressing gown, or worn with one side of his torso showing (like in the above picture) as wearing it like that is cooler and a bit more traditional. He usually wears it like in the above image. On his feet he wears white leather boots that go up to the shin.

However, despite his traditional clothing and his fox features, the weirdest and most out of place thing about him is his silver mechanical left arm. The arm is attached via a coupler that is grafted to the remaining stub of his arm, meaning that the arm itself can be removed and repaired without Tomar having to go into surgery to do it.

PERSONALITY: Tomar is very much like a fox. His strongest weapon is his incredible brain, able to calculate and almost predict the outcome of various instances. He could even predict the outcome of a chess game before he's even made the first move. A fair few people believe this to be part of his semblance, or perhaps magic or some trick, but it is simply down to his intellect. He is not omniscient, however, and can only predict things if he knows their pattern. Even at his age, he is superior in mechanical and electrical engineering than most well known scientists and engineers. It was Tomar who designed and built his arm, and not any big company or anyone like that.

He is crafty and witty like the fox, too. He doesn't make silly puns or jokes, though - that's beneath his intellect. He prefers smarter wit - funny stories, humorous observations and the like. He is very confident in his brain, which is usually well placed (except for one really bad instance which he'll never forget), and prefers to outwit and outsmart his opponent as opposed to using sheer brawn against them. After all, his greatest tool is his brain, so why not use it?

While he is slightly cocky, especially when it comes to using his intellect, he is a pretty nice guy. He is charismatic and gentle, and likes being part of a small team. The only time he prefers to be alone is when he is working on some mechanical invention. He is completely oblivious to love, though, which can be both a boon and a curse.

EQUIPMENT: While Tomar doesn't wear armour, as it would hinder his natural agility, he has designed his kimono with engineering in mind. Since changing to and from overalls would be awkward and annoying, he has decided to make his kimono out of a similar, oil resistant material to overalls. While it still has the silky, light feeling that a regular kimono would have it is lined with a special material that renders it resistant against acids, lubricants, swarf and the like. Not much use in combat, unless his foe has an acidic weapon, but it is useful for his day to day life. His boots are also protective, and have plates of hardened metal in the toe and the heel. The sole is also made of a rubber that is more effective against slippery surfaces like ice (or, and what it was designed for, oil spillages).

In terms of weaponry, Tomar prefers the smaller, more agile option. He has a dagger that can have different dust infused into it that gives added effects when the blade makes contact with a creature. It has four effects - Ice, Fire, Acid and Lightning. When the blade of his dagger contacts a creature while Ice is active, the area around the wound becomes frozen and very painful. Fire is pretty self explanatory, and ignites the area around it. Acid slowly eats away at armour and flesh, while Lightning delivers a heftier punch with electricity. The dagger can also, although pretty inefficient and absorbs dust far quicker than melee, be ranged if need be. One canister contains five ranged shots for each element. Of course, like all daggers, this is simply his off hand weapon.

His real pride and joy is his rapier. While a sharp, lethal weapon by itself, the rapier is actually a drill with a motor than can spin it up to around 5000 RPM - more than enough to drill through flesh, bone and even steel (an average lathe, for reference, can get up to about 3000 RPM). The material used is similar to adamantine, both in colour and in strength, so Tomar has little to no fear of his drill blade needing sharpening any time soon. Although, there are drawbacks - at least, for other people. With it being a drill with a powerful motor, if Tomar tried using it with his non robotic hand it would fluctuate and vibrate massively. He has dampeners on his mechanical arm to help prevent this, but anyone else using his blade would be subject to this.

Then, of course, there is his left arm. Far more efficient than his old meaty one, his mechanical arm can resist quite a hefty force before breaking, can exert a hefty force of its own and has several functions in it. Firstly, there's the electric piston muscles. This gives Tomar an iron grip, able to crush cast iron in his hand. Do not mistake, though, as it doesn't give him super strength. While the arm would be able to lift incredible loads with no issue, the rest of Tomar's body cannot (besides, it seems to me that people from RWBY have super strength anyways). He could wedge it between two objects, though, and it'll probably hold them apart. The fist is also equipped with a electrical ram in his fist, capable of easily shattering the skull of a Beowulf. It can be activated repeatedly, like a jackhammer, to tear through walls and people alike.

SEMBLANCE: Chains of the Goddess - named after his great ancestor, who had the same ability and was seen as a goddess due to her power with it, Tomar is able to create impossibly strong chains seemingly from nowhere. Bright white in colour, and able to latch onto victims, the chains can be adjusted to be the size of a necklace chain to the size of a battleship chain. He can create four at a time, from any direction and any start point. The start point is fixed when created, but the end point can move freely to Tomar's will. It does require his utmost concentration to pull off, and Tomar can do little more than move when they are active. While the chains are indestructible, if a strong creature pulls at it the chain requires more aura to keep it solid.

SEMBLANCE COLOUR: His semblance is a pearl white.

BACKSTORY: Tomar's parents are both incredible mechanical geniuses, which is probably where he got it from, and originally hail from Menagerie. However, as his parents got closer, they decided to move to Vacuo, taking their culture with them, for job opportunity as they were expecting a child on the way, and needed money to help raise him. As such, Tomar was born into a fairly well off household. He did suffer bullying as a child, as do most faunus, but his father always taught him that it was because faunus were superior to humans and they were simply jealous. So, with this in mind, Tomar ignored the bullies and eventually they gave up. His mathematical prowess was well beyond his years, and was often commended and rewarded for it in school.

As he grew older, however, he began to realise something. The world didn't really need any more engineers and scientists, but with the growing Grimm threat they did need more Hunters. Especially Hunters with incredible intellect like his own, since that sort of thing was quite rare. From his experience, most Hunters were brawny as opposed to brainy, and more times than not strategy beat power.

So, he joined Beacon. He did, however, have a very rough start. During initiation he found himself to be paired with a faunus girl called Sonora. It was starting off great - until a King Taijitu attacked them out of nowhere. Taking them by surprise, they were barely able to hold them off until the experienced Hunters were able to kill it. They were not ready for such a beast, and it wasn't even meant to be there. Tomar lost his arm in the battle, and was hospitalised for a fair few weeks - all that time the only visitors he got were Oxpin, who assumed he was going to leave the school, and his partner Sonora. Tomar, however, was not ready to leave just yet - in the next week leading up, he began designing and building a coupler and an arm to go with it. While the arm has undergone some upgrades over the years, the coupler remains the same. He was back in class within a month of his injury, and sparked a fire within him to be better, stronger and smarter than everyone else. He quickly turned into one of the better Hunters in training, and has never looked back.

Now a third year, who knows what the future holds?

EXTRA: Being a faunus, specifically a fox faunus, Tomar has heightened senses, darkvision (can see in the dark) and enhanced speed and agility. He is probably about as quick as Usain Bolt, and far more agile. He also despises snakes in any form, and becomes infuriated by them.

PERSONALITY: She is very happy-go-lucky, and very caring towards friends. But she also is a person that listens more than she talks, since she is always thinking. She can get moody from time to time, which means trouble to anyone who angers her. She is extroverted, and very easy to talk to. But make fun of her, and she will show you why that is a mistake. POWER/SEMBLANCE: Lyrical Maestro: her semblance involves music and sounds, causing the effects of her melodies last longer than before, and she can allow all songs to be played and boost only herself in one go. And when she swings, a note will play. However, with her semblance activated, she can do double noted songs, playing the current song and the previous one at the same time.

BACKSTORY: Sonora grew up in Vacuo, where she had lived a pretty good life. although she was picked on just because she was a faunus, she was relatively happy. However, when her mom, a Black Wolf faunus, died of cancer, She and her Father, a Human, lived in vacuo, and she attended Shade. There she made her weapon of choice, the Hunting Horn, and got the basics down, her father recommended going to Beacon, to follow in his footsteps. Even though her father, a Human, was a huntsman, he was retired, and wanted Sonora to carry on his legacy. She moved to Vale, and is now attending Beacon for 3 years. In her 1st year, she was paired with a Fox Faunus named Tomar. Everything went Swimmingly, until the serpentine King Taijitu ambushed them, catching them off guard. Tomar had lost his arm, forcing Sonora to retreat with Tomar as experienced Huntsman took the beast down. During the next few weeks, she visited him every day to make sure he was doing fine, after all, he was the only one she knew in the entire school. However, when Tomar returned, she was surprised to find him having a Mechanical arm. She became closer to Tomar, and looking forward to their 3rd year together.

Extra: She loves looking at plants, and smelling the pretty flowers calms her down when tensions run high, or if she is feeling blue.

Also, she is part wyverian, though her ears are not pointed, and she has all 10 fingers, since the genes of a wyverian are recessive, which means they won’t appear on her, but will appear in her children. Isn’t genetics fun?)



[WEAPON PREFERENCE]: Gamora is experienced in all weapon types, but she uses Sword and shield, switch axe, Charge Blade, Insect Glaive, Bow, Gunlance, and Light Bowgun more often than the others.

[GEAR]: She wears the Dreadking set with a talisman of artillery +8, with a slot filled in with an artillery +2 jewel. She also has the Ashen Bardredd (made from Hellblade Glavenus) Chargeblade.

[HISTORY]: Gamora was born in a village known as Faville, which is a farming village under the protection of the Wycademy, and she was the Chief’s daughter, which made her well known throughout the village, the chief was a very buff Wyverian that looked exactly like a normal human, except the hands, which have 8 fingers in total, and his ears were slightly pointed. Gamora always saw hunters coming into the village to pick up what ever they wanted grown in terms of mushrooms, plants, and even farming bugs and kinsect jellies. At age 17, a Chameleos ravaged the village, she saw 4 hunters come in a blimp that belonged to the Wycademy, slaying the chameleos 20 minutes later. She was injured and unconscious, and was taken to Bherna by those hunters. At age 18, she became a hunter for Bherna Village after a year of intense training after recovery, and then became the adopted daughter of Bherna’s chief. It only took two years for her to reach her current rank, for she blasted through her quests, alone, with friends, or random hunters looking for her help with their quests.

[PERSONALITY]: Gamora is caring and a bit of optimist. She is mature for her age, light hearted, and is a hit with Felynes in the palico and prowler profession, due to how kind she is overall. She can get pretty annoyed when things go wrong, or if there is an annoying person in her presence. With her smile pretty much always on her face. She is outgoing, but can keep things to herself if needed. If needed, she will not be afraid to speak her mind, and she will speak up for others, and will take a leadership position if her team needs it. She also has great intelligence, and know what herbs, Bugs, and Mushrooms (with the mushromancer skill) are edible, which will keep her team alive if they have that knowledge, especially if all potions are gone during a long hunt. She is determined, and will find a way to succeed in any situation.

History: Before Oakris met Gamora, they were palicoes for a hunter who was crude, immature, and selfish. The hunter abused the poor felyne mentally and physically. While in the Hunter’s hub, gamora met her former master, and saw that Oakris was malnourished and had blood caked on their fur. When Oakris went up to Gamora, the hunter grabbed her, and slapped her head. gamora stepped in and punched the hunter in the gut, and kicked him in the groin. The whole hub saw everything, and the manager transfered the flyne to Gamora after a lot of explaining was done, and that is how their friendship started.


Purr-sonality: Oakris is outgoing, and a social butterfly, but being a fighting cat, she lives to fight. When she gets mad, she will let you know immediately with scratches, unless Gamora scratches behind her ears. She loves being around humans, or any friend of her master. She is very hard to anger, as she is calm for the most part, and generally does not like to talk about her past, and will avoid the topic anyway possible.

Race: Human

Appearance: Cirrus is 6'3", and fairly lanky. Parts of his left ear are missing, and his hair is periwinkle and usually pushed to the side. Cirrus's eyes are light gray, but darken whenever he's pissed.
Of course, nobody ever sees this, because Cirrus always dresses like it's twenty degrees. He's almost always seen wearing a balaclava and ski goggles, and when not in his school uniform, a parka and snowboots.

Personality:

Weapon: Sun Buster - A firearm-type weapon that acts as a sniper rifle, grenade launcher, assault rifle, and grappling hook all in one. Cirrus isn't a fan of melee combat. If an enemy gets too close, however, the scope of his main weapon can telescope (ha) into a baseball bat that can emit a flashbang.
All of his main weapon's forms are Dust compatible, but the only Dust ammunition Cirrus carries is a few Dust grenades that can create localized weather effects. He doesn't use them often because they're expensive.

Power/Semblance: Cirrus can control air to a certain degree.

Color of Semblance: Ice Blue

Backstory: Cirrus hails from Atlas, and his parents were both connected to the Atlesian military. They wanted Cirrus to inherit their profession, but it didn't seem likely when Cirrus caught the Blight, a rare disease brought on by bacterial Grimm. The illness doesn't spread easily, but it brings other Grimm to the area in droves, so Cirrus was moved out of the city. Most of the infected die in a day or two, but Cirrus suffered for several weeks.
Around one month after he caught it, a pack of Beowolves came knocking. The alpha was right on top of Cirrus when his Aura flared to life on its own, purging him of the Blight and creating a pressure change strong enough to knock out most of the Beowolves until help could arrive. This event hit the news like an earthquake, and Cirrus got application requests from several primary Huntsman academies due to his powerful Semblance, but he picked Signal to get out of the cold, which was unbearable after the Blight threw off his nervous system.
For a while, Cirrus rode on the power of his Semblance and a sidearm, but the former eventually wound down to a level similar to his peers, forcing him to rely on a normal weapon. He still was pretty powerful, though, and was snatched from the ranks of Beacon applicants to be put on a team of second years in a strange situation after one lost a limb.

-memory keeper: allows the user to obtain Memory's of important figures from throughout time and space. these Memory's can grant her some mundane skills or improve upon existing ones, give unique skills like magical singing or pyrokinesis, a item of from the memories maker, an aspect, or a hat. the skills both mundane and special when first gained will be at a skill level where it's best described as "existent" and must be trained, either through practice or through other gains of other Memories. she however doesn't have much if any control over when she gets a Memory and what it's about. at best she can direct a Memory she gains to follow something vague like a Memory about cleaning or a Memory about fire. aspects activate when said aspect would come into play, such as a fire aspect activating when using fire, what the aspect actually does is not very easy to tell until it activates for the first time. the semblance came at the cost of preventing her from learning a NEW skill the old fashioned way, or by downloading it.

Backstory: in this timeline curly was created to be the first artificial huntress with a soul and true sentience, instead penny. but unlike penny and the atlas of her timeline, curly was shown to the public in a good light by atlas as a great boon to huntsman numbers and curly was as a sign of unity, sent to beacon as a student to get practical experience. her main creator was a man by the name Momorin Sakamoto (momo for short), who see's herself as curlys mother.
