Fandom RWBY: A Grimm Dawn Lore

In this roleplay players will play as new students at Beacon Academy, training to be the next generation of Huntsmen.

The Academy training, however, is soon interrupted. An unexpected surge in Grimm attacks - bolder, stronger and more frequent - tests the preparedness of the students. The world outside the academy walls is becoming increasingly dangerous and nobody seems to understand why.

To add to the unease, the White Fang, the notorious Faunus rights group, has fallen strangely silent, something which is completely out of character for the usually brazen group. Rumors circulate that something big is brewing, a scheme that could potentially disrupt the peace in Remnant.

At the same time, smaller dust mines around Vale begin to report mysterious and concerning incidents. Reports of workers disappearing, unexpected equipment failure, and of dust behaving unpredictably are spreading alarm amongst the kingdoms and driving up the price dust.

Faced with an ever-growing number of threats, the students must step out of their classroom comfort zone sooner than anticipated. Will they unravel the mysteries and navigate the trials to become true Huntsmen, or will the increasing threats prove too much for them?

Spoiler: General Gist of the setting.

The general gist is that, aside from what was mentioned in the interest check and the lack of canon characters, the setting is pretty much the same as at the beginning of the show.

Spoiler: List of Grimm in the Emerald Forest

As in canon the Grimm that live in the emerald forest are Beowolves, Ursai, King Taijitus, Nevermores, Death Stalkers, Creeps, and Boarbatusks.

That said Taijitus are rather rare and as such shouldn't be encountered too often.

Spoiler: NPC: Chrysus Goldbrick, the headmaster of Beacon

Name: Chrysus Goldbrick
Age: 47
Gender: Male
Species: Human
Height: 5'9"
Personality: Chrysus is a charismatic and enigmatic figure, known for his unpredictable nature. He is often seen as an eccentric mentor by both his students and colleagues. Beneath his adventurous facade, he possesses a deep sense of responsibility for guiding the next generation of Huntsmen and Huntresses.

Chrysus firmly believes that true strength comes from experiencing life's challenges firsthand. He encourages his students to step out of their comfort zones and face dangers head-on, occasionally even going so far as to send them om missions that he knows are too dangerous for them to handle.

While some criticize his methods as reckless, he argues that the practical experience gained outweighs theoretical knowledge found in books. His belief in the potential of his students often drives them to push beyond their limits.

Semblance:
Chrysus's semblance, "Deep Blue," grants him the ability to perceive the potential outcomes of his actions before he takes them. This foresight allows him to make informed decisions, anticipate dangers, and strategize effectively. He uses this power not only for his own benefit but also to ensure the safety of those under his guidance.

However, there are some rumors going around that make the claim that Chrysus is lying about his semblance to make his decision-making seem a bit more rational.

Backstory: Chrysus Goldbrick is a legendary Huntsman who gained fame for his daring feats and incredible combat prowess. However, after a life-changing event, he decided to transition into the role of a teacher and took on the responsibility of shaping the future of Huntsmen and Huntresses.

Eventually, he managed to become headmaster of Beacon thanks to a combination of his glorious past, hard work and (allegedly) a fair amount blackmail and bribery.

Over the years, Chrysus developed a unique approach to teaching, blending his experiences as a Huntsman with his semblance, Deep Blue, to guide his students in an unique way. Though some criticize his unorthodox methods, his students often come out stronger and more confident in their abilities.
