Vengeance
Mr. All Or Nothing
Introduction
In the city of Cantel, where people play pleasantries in the day and act out sinful deeds at night, law and order has long been wanting to get rid of the sore-eye that is the mafia. To survive here, you're going to have to fork out the best of your wits and charm to fool the enemy and drive them out - dead or alive.
Factions
There are three main teams: Police, Mafia, and Civilian.
Police will be able to conduct investigations in the day and night, and their identities are disclosed to the rest of the police force since the beginning of the game. They come in different rankings with unique abilities each to aid them in solving the mystery. Certain officers have elusive grants to access otherwise top-secret information in the station.
Mafia players' identities are perceived as Civilians to the public. The Godfather will be the only person who knows who is part of the mafia group from the get-go. Mafia players can perform the same actions as Civilians at night, with an additional bonus of other actions exclusive to Mafia only.
Civilians are the players who win as long as they survive until the end of the game (in other words, Police victory or Mafia victory). They can choose to join either faction any time in the game. They have no access to the police records and no way to mingle freely among the law-breakers, and have no special abilities until they decide on which faction to fight for.
Victory / Defeat
There are 2 conditions where only either one has to be met:
1. When one team has twice the number of players in comparison to the other team, the team with more players wins. This only applies to POLICE and MAFIA factions.
2. When the Godfather is prosecuted or killed by a member of the Police, the Mafia loses. Similarly, if the Chief is murdered or an innocent is wrongly accused of being the big don (then arrested), the Police loses.

System
DAY TIME ACTIONS
.. should be made public in the thread.
The Police can perform interrogation, and for a special few, prosecution. You can choose to perform none of the actions during any Day Cycle.
Interrogation forces the selected player to disclose their last night action to the public, as well as their discovery during that cycle. This can only be executed if more than 2 police officers vote for a particular member to be interrogated.
Prosecution can be performed only by the Chief or Detective. If you prosecute a non-mafia member by mistake, you are out of the game.
-
The Mafia will appear as Civilians during the Day Cycle. You can only participate in discussions. (Tip: Use this anonymity to your advantage!)
-
Civilians can contribute to observation and speculations in discussions.
NIGHT TIME ACTIONS
... should be PM'd to Vengeance (yours sincerely).
You MUST linger in a precinct more than one cycle before moving on.
The Police can follow, protect, and mingle.
Following a player allows you to know which precinct your target headed towards, as well as the other player your target interacted with if any.
Protect lets you guard your target from assassination (50% chance for them to be killed instead of 75%). If two police officers protect each other, they each have 25% chance of being killed instead of 50%. NPCs can be protected.
Mingle lets you gorge random information from an NPC in any location at a 50% chance. Bear in mind that the NPC only has access to information regarding players that have visited the place at least once. NPCs can be murdered - shall they die, the place becomes closed and inaccessible in the future, the only exception being the hospital.
-
The Mafia can stalk, murder, bribe, and mingle.
Stalking a player lets you know where they have been.
If your target moved onto another precinct during the cycle you wanted to murder them, your assassination fails. Naturally, NPCs are easy kills. If your assassination fails, there is a 50% that you injure them, penalising them in the hospital for a number of turns. There is a 50% chance that your identity will be exposed to them (but if you manage to off them, who cares, right?).
Bribery can be done on NPCs to make them give a false piece of information to the police.
