Liev sighed as she paced back and forth a bit, her fingers tangling in her hair as she braided it. When she had finished she looked over at her sister, deciding to voice her worries to the younger. "Erica, I don't think that we'll be able to stay here for much longer. The town that we go to keeps getting filled with more of the government's men every time we go to get supplies. I think they may be catching up to us, and I don't want to wait until the last minute like I did last time." Liev said rather quietly as she stood over the counter, preparing a cup of tea to start her morning. She then glanced over at her sister, silently asking if she'd like a cup as well. She added a spoonful of sugar and some honey before taking a sip, the slight burn of it rather relaxing, and being relaxed was something that she needed right now. The last time that she had gone to get some more food for the ever growing orphanage, she couldn't help but feel trepidation the entire time. The next town was much farther away, and Liev knew that it was crawling with even more men.

The thoughts of them having to move again had worried her all throughout the night, and she had even had to induce sleep on herself when she grew tired of feeling so restless. Despite having induced the sleep, there were still prominent bags underneath of her eyes that told others of her long night. Liev traced her fingers over the back of her neck and across her tattoo at the thought of possibly losing one of the children. Despite all the loss her sister had recently faced, she was glad that she was back to help out at the orphanage. It was at this time that she needed her back here most, as the orphanage continued to grow bigger and bigger, and Liev feared that she wouldn't be able to handle it by herself anymore. She loved that she was able to help so many kids though, but it wasn't as easy as she initially thought that it would be.

"I'm especially worried about the younger kids, and how we're going to travel this time. I don't want anyone to get left behind." She said, the worry evident in her voice. Of course she was worried about the older kids as well, but they all seemed to have decent control of their powers. Still, not all of them were able to blend in, and realizing that made her worry all the more. She placed her cup back down on the counter and traced her fingers around the rim as she thought of what to do. Glancing at the kitchen clock she saw that it was rather early, the sun having just risen maybe an hour ago. The kids would probably be waking up and coming downstairs soon. She would have to come up with a decision soon, as she didn't want to stall. Hopefully she'd have a plan by the end of the week, before they were caught. Goodness, this was much more stressful than she thought that it would be, yet she never regretted her decision to start the orphanage.

This is what the house looks like. The majority of it is underground and all the rooms are the children’s bedrooms, the two up top belonging to Liev and Erica.

Erica was half spaced out when her sister had woken her up, asking to speak with her in the kitchen. She sat quietly at the counter, trying to keep herself from falling over. She hadn't been feeling well but had written it off over the emotional stress she was going through. Even though the three or four days of rest and crying she still hadn't come to terms with recent events. Being here at the orphanage was conflicting for her. It was home, and she needed that, but it also reminded her of what she couldn't deal with thinking about. Erica met her sisters' eyes, seeing bags that probably mirrored her own. She knew her face was puffy and red from crying in her sleep, and she wasn't concerned with hiding it. Nodding, she accepted a cup of tea not bothering to add anything else to it, just taking a few sips before setting it down closing her eyes. "We would need to find another place before we could move. Liev, stop pacing you're giving me a headache. " Seraphina mumbled, sighing.

"We will have to look and see what places we can find, as for the government my illusions can hold them off until we move. " She stated, waving a hand it the air and causing it to shimmer, showing her Illusions were active. This caused her to lurch over though, nearly knocking over her tea. a small smile crossed her face as she apologized. Slowly she slid off the place she was sitting, using the counter to still herself. Walking over to her sister and resting a hand on her shoulder. "You are going to worry the kids if you don't relax. " Sure, they weren't up yet but it wouldn't be long before one overheard the adults talk. All they needed was for one kid to hear and chaos would ensue. "I'll ask Narah or someone to scout for a place for now. " Erica suggested, grabbing her cup and taking a few more sips.

"As for that, I'm sure we can find a way to move everyone safely. If it means taking the illusion down and using more energy to make the children insivible I can do so. Or we can move them in small groups. We will find a way when the time comes." She gave a reassuring smile. Patting Liev on the back. "For now take some of the children to town before matters at hand get worse. We will need supplies if are going to move anyway." She stated, sitting back down in a seat, giving her sister a small smile. "Don't worry to much or you are going to turn into me." Refering to her worn out state.

There was something about existing for hundreds of years that made you restless. Without the physical ailments of the living, Kaya didn’t need sleep unless it was to blend in. Or to feel human for a minute. The street was gray, colored only by the buzzing presence of fluorescent lights from the bars and late night restaurants. It was early morning, veiled in crisp air. He had no idea where he was, or how long he’d been walking, but it didn’t matter. He’d abandoned any sense of urgency and stress years ago. Nobody and nothing could hurt him, and he had little to offer the world. He felt he was an observer, watching people live, die, fight, love-

A dirty ambulance wailed by, splashing in the potholes and startling a few drunks dragging themselves home from a long night. Kaya’s own feet didn’t disturb the puddles as he stepped through, poetic in the sense that he didn’t disturb much at all.

Trotting into the street, he joked to himself. “Guess I’m finally crossing to the other side.” Little did he know, he made that joke nearly every time he crossed the street, but kept forgetting he’d made it before. Lost in the trance of walking, he’d also forgotten there was an orphanage to return to. He’d only intended to take a small fifteen minute stroll, but that’d turned into an all night hike.

Looking up, he was struck by familiarity. Staring blankly, a side street reminded him of a sense of family- a sense of belonging. Still standing in the middle of the street, a car honked in annoyance at Kaya.

☾

An hour later, and he’d finally made it home. Slipping sheepishly through the front door, he heard voices echoing from the kitchen. Knowing he probably shouldn’t have left in the first place, he shut the wooden door with painful care. Entering the common space, he made himself as soft as possible, blurring his edges until he was fuzzy like an old film. Hoping they wouldn’t notice him coming in from outside, he stretched casually as he crossed the kitchen.

He’d known Liev and Erica long enough to know something was up, and felt he was interrupting something important.

“Gooooooood morning,” he gasped through a yawn. “No offense but you both look like hell, everything all right?”

JINN
Location – Bedroom -> Kitchen
Mood – Dazed, Angry
Interactions – Erica, Liev and Kaya

He hated mornings. After being around for so long people would hope that they could change but with Jinn he hadn't changed in years. He was a sponge for information and new ideas but his own principles were deeply routed in his lamp, one being that he hated mornings. He was always still tired and he could barely shapeshift. The most he could ever really pull off was a shelf on his chest so he didn't need to carry or forcibly levitate his lamp.

He woke that morning feeling sleepy as usual. Being a Genie meant you had to do a lot of matter based magic. That requires a lot of energy meaning Jinn had to be asleep for most of his life. Luckily he had lots of reserve energy incase of emergencies as he was asleep for decades before being found by one of the kids. He was always happy to have been accepted into their weird family. It would've been awful if they abandoned him. He didn't want that to happen again. He may be semi-ethereal but that doesn't mean he didn't have feelings. The last person he knew left him alone in a dusty old attic after using him for all his magic so it was clear to see that he had some trust issues. Now, he had gotten better. He was more loving and accepting towards others than ever before. He knew that he was a crazy power hungry guy and that Liev, Erica and the others weren't like that.

He walked upstairs from his small closet room in his blue, ghost-like form wearing red boxer shorts. His hair was flowing all over the place. It was like a mane and Jinn simply didn't have any willpower to control it in the morning (or put on actual clothes it seemed). He heard voices so he knew where his first stop would be: the devil room (he meant the kitchen but don't worry about it).

Stumbling into the room with his lamp on his shelf chest, he soon knew it was Liev, Erica and Kaya talking. He could be quite rowdy in the morning but he meant no actual harm. Jinn was a sweetheart - everyone knew that - he just didn't like his mornings to be annoying. He spoke in a slightly slurred yet angry tone. "Can you keep it down," he asked. "Some people aren't early birds."

ERIK LU | Bedroom - Kitchen | TAGS: Basically everyone?
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Erik had woken up pretty much before everyone else, but he resided in a corner in the room he had slept in. He wasn't really sure who was who, much less where everyone slept, he just chose a random corner and dwelled. Then again, he didn't really need sleep. Most the times he just laid down with his eyes closed playing with his abilities. He was sitting there meditating ignoring the sounds of other teens waking up and heading up the stairs. He was rather bored, to say the least. Unlike some of the other kids, he couldn't leave the house freely, unless he wanted to lead the government right to their doorstep. Last time he had been in a town he noticed his face on more than one poster. It was hard to blend in when your face was known after all.

Finally giving up on meditation he got up and brushed himself off, buttoning up his shirt and concealing the scars on his side. He wore his usual attire, a white shirt, and worn jeans. He allowed his self to float to the stairs, then ascending up them and into the main area. He could have just walked, but using his ability was more entertaining. He took one look at Liev and Erica, and could tell something wasn't well. Which didn't surprise him, harboring a bunch of kids with abilities wasn't easy. And he was sure his 'wanted' title wasn't much help. Erick managed to hold back his eyes rolling at Jinn's comment. "If you don't like it sleep somewhere else." He mumbled under his breath, neither serious nor teasing.

Of course, he hadn't meant it in any harm, but he couldn't help his replies sometimes. His thoughts just had the tendency to slip out. Sighing, he floated quietly over to the table and hovered above it in a sitting position. Watching and listening to the people around him cause he didn't feel required to speak.

Kieran hadn’t really slept, but that was wasn’t much of a surprise. He glanced at the completed painting in front of him, wiping his lightly painted hands lightly on his already paint stained overalls. He had been all the way upstairs where all the art supplies were contained, so that one of the bedrooms wouldn't have to smell of paint if someone decided to get creative in the middle of the night like he often did. It was a piece he had been working on over the course of a week, as the canvas that he used was rather large, and he was determined to no leave an inch of space. He began to hear voices on the floor beneath him, and he could only assume that the others were beginning to wake up, or at least beginning to head downstairs. Kieran decided that he should do the same and began his trek downstairs, being wary of the more creaky stairs as he walked down.

His stomach growled lightly as his foot hit the bottom step, and he rubbed it lightly as he looked at everyone that was already downstairs. He was aware that he should probably get himself cleaned up first, but he had his priorities straight and decided that food was more important. Once he saw the looks on Liev and Erica's faces, he knew that something was up, although he also knew better than to ask. It looked like they had both gone through a rough night. With Liev, he wasn't so sure, but he was sure that he knew why Erica looked so bad. Despite being one of the newer ones at the orphanage, he already knew of Bram, and the tragedy that happened between the two lovers. It was saddening, and only made him hate the government more.

Besides the two sisters, Kaya, Jinn, and Erik were also downstairs. From what he knew, Erik had only been her for a few days, maybe three or four if he were guessing correctly. He kind of wondered what had gotten the other here, since from what he knew, everyone else had been here for a few years now. He wished that he had too, and that he hadn't passed up on the rumors when he was fourteen. Still, he squashed the curiosity, and decided that the other would tell him when he wanted to, if he wanted to. "Good morning." He said, swallowing a yawn as he walked over to the sink and began washing his hands. He didn't bother with the flecks of blue, green, and white on his face and hair, even though he knew he probably looked silly. It probably wasn't helping that his bangs were pulled into a small ponytail on top of his head either. He glanced over at the two sisters once more, wondering just what it was that they had been talking about before the kids came downstairs, because surely it had to be something important. Still, he didn't ask anything and began thinking of what to eat for breakfast. Granted, whatever he made he'd probably have to make enough for the others, because it was just rude to do otherwise. At least that was what he was taught.

Narah was woken by the stiffening and low growl that came from the wolf she named Cerberus, and with tired eyes, she raised her head to see what caused the commotion. She giggled a bit and laid back down. "Calm down, it's just Kaya. " She whispered, petting the creature gently. It was rare for her to sleep inside the house, and she never slept without some form of a creature with her. She rested her head against Cerberus, curling into his warmth. The wolf got the message and relaxed a little, returning back to its guard duty. "Just a few more minutes. Then I'll go see what's happening. Promise." She muttered, happy to stay with the wolf. People were just too complicated animals were much easier to get along with.

After a few minutes she sat up, ignoring the sound of her bones popping as she stretched. The young girl sighed, finally getting up and yawning. She quickly brushed off her hair and clothes getting the dust and sand off. "Go patrol Cerberus. " She said, shooing away the giant creature. Her ears twitched at the sounds of voices in the house, and she crept into the house, shutting the door quietly. She slipped behind Kaya, smiling to herself. "You woke me up meanie." She whispered, before moving towards the open.

It didn't take long for her eyes to adjust to the scene, looking at Liev and Erica, mostly at Liev cause she couldn't bring herself to look at Erica. She turned her attention to others in the room. The new guy was hovering about, Kieran was there, and the person she often forgot the name of but always remembered their face. Jinn or something like that. Her ears twitched as she tilted her head, no picking up on the emotion in the room. Her eyes searched everyone's not understanding what she assumed was tension. "....Food?" She mumbled quietly, asking, but not wanting to at the same time.

Liev chuckled weakly as her sister told her to stop pacing and she did so, bracing her back against the counter, despite the handle digging uncomfortably into it. "You're right we do..." She said softly, having not even thought of where to look. She wasn't particularly sure how they were going to travel either, and wondered if perhaps for the first time they would take a vehicle. It'd be much faster, and although Liev would wanted to give up the idea because of her motion sickness, it might've been for the best. She didn't currently know though, and decided to push that idea aside, she needed to find a new place for the orphanage to go first. One thing at a time, or else she'd over worry herself, much like right now. She took a deep breath and nodded her head to her sister as a thanks. Her illusions were quite literally life saving. Still, she knew that toll that it took on Seraphina's body, and despite it being helpful, Liev wasn't going to push off finding a new place to live because of them.

She nearly ran to her sister's side when she lurched over, although she stopped herself last minute, shaking her head when her sister apologized. "There's no need to apologize. Are you okay?" She asked, and she knew then that using these illusions were definitely taking a toll on her sister's body, even if she didn't vocalize it. This made Liev determined to find a new place by the end of the week, even if she had to ask some of the children to help her with it. She sighed when her sister walked over and placed a hand on her shoulder. "I know, but I can't help it. I always get like this when we have to move." She said softly before she closed her eyes and nodded her head, trying to relax herself. "That sounds like a good idea. And I'm sure they'll probably be happy to get out the house." Liev said, mentally noting to remind them to be careful and to stay out of sight if they were going.

"Yes you're right, and thank you. I'm thinking a bit clearer now... I'll make a list of what we need and depending on how much we need I'll take a small group into town to get the supplies. Maybe I'll have another group scouting to minimize time. I don't know yet, I'm never really one for thinking ahead." Liev said as she lightly rubbed her face. She chuckled softly at her sister's commenting on worrying, and gave back a small smile of her own. "I don't think I could ever worry that much." She said before she heard the front door opening. Immediately she was alert, and she snapped her head in the direction, visibly tense before she saw that it was just Kaya. "Good morning Kaya, everything's fine, I'm actually almost offended that you think that. And what have I told you about going out without telling Erica or I where you're going?" She lightly scolded, although there was a small smile on her face as she looked at the other.

Almost like a flock everyone began coming downstairs after that, and Liev knew that the conversation with her sister was over. Jinn was the second to come down, then Erik, Kieran, and Narah. It seemed that Kieran was going to be making the breakfast this morning, since he was already searching around, and Liev looked over towards Narah when food was questioned. "What do you want to eat?" She asked, and even though she was looking at Narah, it was a question for everyone.

Ricardo had been up before the early morning sun had risen. He had always been an early riser but lately he’d taken to getting up even earlier. The threat of the government closing in on them made sleeping a bit difficult. He’d be damned, or more so than he believed himself to be, if he’d be caught unaware when they were attacked. He didn’t believe that there was an if, he’d heard the talk between Liev and Sera. It didn’t matter if they tried to keep their voices low, the House was filled with supernatural creatures and he was sure that most had above average hearing. Ricardo spent the time staring up at the ceiling. Eventually he dragged himself out of bed. He took a moment to stretch, groaning in satisfaction when his bones popped.

Ricardo then made his way to the bathroom. After a long shower and cleaning his face and teeth he headed upstairs. His room was one placed at the lower levels. His walk was only a few minutes at best. Ricardo was greeted by the other orphans as he passed. While climbing the stairs that overlooked the stream of water inside of the house he noticed a figure within its depths. “Cal’s awake huh? Should I go and say hi…?” He was referring to their not so friendly Cecaelia by the name of Cordelia, or as Ricardo called her Calamari and Cal for short. He decided against the idea of saying hi. The Cambion doubted that she’d actually surface to greet him and if she did he’d only here complaints from her. So Ricardo went on his way.

Finally he reached the kitchen, he was surprised to see almost everyone inside. “Was there some sort of meeting that I missed out on? Or are the big bad government assholes about to burst through the door and take us away?” He joked. Ricardo had walked in to hear Liev ask about food. While he was able to eat human food Ricardo always survived one life-force and as of lately he was running low on the latter. He’d rather starve than ask any of the others to leech off over. Later he’d sneak off and find someone who suited his taste.

[div class=textbox]Nao traveled through the wood area as he had been for days. He currently was shifted into what he like to call phase 3 or animal phase. His messenger bag draped on one of his antlers, which was uncomfortable, but he had no other choice since this was the fastest way he could travel without getting spotted. Nao stopped, lowering his head to drop the bag off his antler before phasing back to his natural self, phase 2. He rummaged through his bag, finding a makeshift bottle of water which he chugged quickly what was left, before slipping back into the bag and picking up a paper with information he had written down. It was hard to come by rumors of the Orphanage now, and all the previous leads led to dead ends. This was his last one, and he would have to start from square one all over again. He was getting desperate, the town nearby grew in patrols, it would be hard to get in and out without incident.

He sighed, sitting down against a tree staring at the paper. He wasn't sure what he was going to do if this led to a dead end. The nearest towns were all full with patrols until they moved on down to the next. The sound of something moving in the brush nearby him caused him to jump and shove the paper in the bag. Nao quickly grabbed the bag and conjured a bush to cover him so he was hidden. He crouched down, watching carefully, his ears perked up and tail shaking in fear. Just when he thought he was safe, a strong forced jumped up and forced him onto his back. A low growl filled his ears up as he removed his hand away from his face. The body of a massive wolf loomed over him and he sure he was going to die. Much to Nao's surprise, the wolf started to sniff him and it tilted it's head as more wolves surrounded him.

The wolf got off him and grabbed the hood of his hoodie and started to tug him. "Let me-e u-u up." He stuttered, but the wolf growled and Nao made no move as he was dragged slowly by the giant wolf and just silently teared up as the rest of the pack followed. Clutching his bag he prayed he wouldn't die. He was to frighten to use his abilities, and he was sure by the time he hurt one the rest would attack him. When the dragging stop one of the other wolves licked his tears away while he heard the one that dragged him scratching on what sounded to be wood, he opened his eyes and tried to turn around, but a paw on his chest stopped him. So he closed them and again starting praying that he hadn't just let himself be carried to his death.

Once Liev was calmer, Erica relaxed and enjoyed the last of her tea, pushing it to the side. She just nodded along to what her sister said and made a mental note to talk to Narah and a few others later to help scout for a place. They would have to be trusted, of course, she didn't need the word to spread about moving quite yet. She just watched as Liev scolded Kaya and didn't bother to pitch in in either's defense. It was pointless to go against her sister, but at the same time, Kaya could handle themselves she was sure. She hadn't answered Liev's question, because she wasn't all that sure herself if she was okay. Erica could admit she felt weaker than her normal self, but she had been writing it off as stress and overexertion. After all, she had used all three of her abilities when she had fled from the cities, running non-stop for a day or so. She was surprised she hadn't collapsed upon arrival.

As the room started filling up with children, Erica decided to move over a seat so there was room for others. Listening to the conversation, but not doing much to contribute. At the mention of food, it took everything in her willpower not to gag. Sure, she was hungry, but the thought of eating anything? Just the thought of it was enough to make her sick. As Ricardo came up, she thought about getting a shower while she could. "I'm not that hungry Liev, so whatever you make I'll eat." She said with a smile, though she was lying to both herself and her sister, she doubted she could stomach even a bite. She slid off the stool, starting to head past the kids when the scratching on the door started. Erica's gaze met with Narah and she shrugged.

So Erica walked over to the door and opened it, revealing a child no older than fifteen laying on the ground shaking with a wolf holding him down and the wolf she knew narah called Cerberus had been scratching at the door. "Holy." She cut herself off before she swore in front of the kids. "Narah call off your hounds." SHe called out behind her, not wanting to get attacked by one when she reached for the kid. "THEY AREN'T HOUNDS" she heard the younger girl call back to her, not sounding happy. "What's going on?" She heard asked as the girl approached.

"It seems we have a new kid." Erica stated, watching the wolves back away and she helped the kid up, brushing him off and ushering him inside. "Make way children. Narah go handle your friend's behavior, would you?" She stated, sitting the young boy down. Ignoring the other girl's grumbling. "So kid, sorry for the treatment, what is your name dear?" She asked him, noticing the dirt and tears on his face. "Can one of you hand he a towel or something please?" She asked everyone, focusing her aattention on the young boy.

Kieran watched as more and more people continued filing into the room, almost as if it were their schedule or they were robots. That thought made him chuckle quietly to himself as he moved around in the kitchen, doing his best not to eavesdrop on the conversation between the two adults. He eventually settled on something that hopefully everyone would like: waffles, bacon, and eggs (along with strawberries of course but that was mainly for him). Because there were most likely different people here from all over the place, he knew that making one food probably wouldn't end well. For him or anyone else. "I hope that everyone is okay with some waffles, bacon, and eggs." He said leaving out the strawberries as he tried to slyly push them off to the side. He didn't speak loudly, although that was nothing new because he never did. He was a bit of what one would call a gentle soul, only visibly becoming upset if the things he worked hard on are destroyed. He remembered maybe a month ago a painting he had been working on was destroyed by a kid, them having accidentally run into it whilst they were playing. Because he knew that it had been an accident he tried not to get mad at the younger, but he had stayed in his room for two days until persuaded out with the promise of fresh strawberries.

Kieran tensed a little when Ricardo came up and mentioned the government. It was a rather sensitive topic, for most everyone in the room most likely. He also knew that what the other was saying probably wasn't that far off, although he tried to pretend like he didn't hear it. Despite being here for six months, he still couldn't really get over the idea that they'd have to be ready to move, and would probably never be able to properly settle down and stay in one place. It made him a little sad, since he wasn't used to moving around much, the group of fairies he grew up with were the abnormal ones that liked to stay in one place. Suddenly, he heard something by the door, and he flinched lightly since the government had just been mentioned a few moments before. He glanced behind him several times, although he couldn't really concentrate on what was behind him without burning the food. Luckily though, it seemed that Erica had the situation handled.

He glanced behind him once more as the door was opened, and he saw Narah's wolves, as well as a boy who looked to be a few years younger than the fairy himself. He looked to be absolutely mortified, but he had every right to be so since it looked like one of the wolves had dragged him from somewhere. He scrambled around a little bit when Erica suddenly requested a towel, and he quickly grabbed one since he was one of the closest, before handing it to her. He then quickly walked back over to the food, positioning himself so that he could easily keep his eyes on both the food and the new kid.

Narah looked at Liev and thought for a split second. "Anything but meat." She said, scrunching her nose in disgust. The young girl just stalked about the room, staying mostly on the sidelines waiting for something to do. She rolled her eyes when Ricardo joined in the conversation. "You shouldn't joke about those things." She huffed, continuing to walk around in circles much like a vulture. When someone suggested pancakes she smiled, even if it was put in the same sentence as 'bacon'. She scrunched up her nose and glared at the nominated chef. Obviously not happy even though she knew she was pretty much the only Vegan in the home. Speaking of home, she didn't want to move again. It was tiring every time they did. Couldn't they just defend their current home or something? She knew that wasn't the safest suggestion, but she hated running just after getting comfortable. It was annoying having to move not only their belongings and the kids, but for Narah to move her animals to which is why she could never have a large collection like she did originally. She was down to about a dozen birds, six of her favorite wolves, and a few others she had hiding about, such as the squirrel and the mole she felt nearby.

Speaking of her wolves the sound of claws scratching on the door caught everyone's attention and she merely followed Erica's instructions. Although highly offended at her calling her pets hounds. Wolves were much better than such creatures. She shooed the pack off after thanking them and slipping them treats she made for them. While they hunted their own food, she still liked awarding them, like as if they were common household pets and to her they were. The boy though, he was an interesting fellow. However, her hunger overruled her curiosity and she slipped quietly behind Kieran and grabbed one strawberry and ate it grinning. "It fell in my mouth." She whispered, pushing off the counter and into the open were she could examined the child. He could be much older than her and he was obviously one of then with antlers and a tail. Her orange eyes flickered as she stared, waiting for him to talk.

He really hated mornings. Dealing with everyone was tough. He sometimes wondered why he was a genie since he can't stand people sometimes. Too many people crowded one area trying to reach for fuel in the morning. It was a mistake to come in here everyday but he did it anyway. It did upset him that he couldn't eat sometimes. He just never shapeshifted the organs when in human form. He was simply an empty shell inside. If he were to actually eat, when he shapeshifted back, it wouldn't look pretty. He gave Kieran a smile. "Sorry," he said simply. "You guys know how I am with food. It looks good though." He tried to look sorry but in all honesty he didn't like being around food. On the bright side it did mean more for the others.

When he heard that a new kid was arriving, he immediately sighed. He didn't want to have to look presentable. This house was made for him to not care about who he was or what he looked like. He didn't like changing himself when it was unnecessary especially when it took so much energy out of him. However he didn't know who this kid was. He didn't want to freak them out. There were so many people in this house that didn't look human. He should at least help by showing a kind face. He placed his lamp on a table and stretched out before changing into his human form. He went outside to meet the kid. Someone needed to make sure this kid wasn't afraid of strangers.

Erik remained hovering in the air most the time as the conversation flowed around him. The mention of the government made him roll his eyes. "Morning Kieran. " He muttered, allowing himself to lower into the seat instead of floating above it. Erik had no problem displaying his abilities, something he remembered his father argued with him about. Speaking of which, he wondered if his face was still plastered in town on papers and other signs. And how many names they had listed beside it since he went by a lot when he snuck around towns. But the last time he been in a town was not long after he escaped. Bringing his thoughts back to the present, he watched as others filled the room.

The scratching on the door caused him to glance that way, seeing Erica bring in a young boy who looked like he met death. To be fair, he met deaths dog going by the wolfs name he had learned after meeting the young girl named Narah. A very interesting kid in his opinion. He hopped off the stool/chair and looked at the kid's antlers. The boy seemed frightened enough, and he was sure his lifeless 'drained of color' look wouldn't help calm the kid down at all. Therefore he just let Erica do her thing and walked toward Kieran, stepping out of the way as Narah rushed away with her stolen treasure. "Want any help cooking?" He asked, keeping his voice low as he watched both the boy and the commotion in the main area.
