Liev sighed as she paced back and forth a bit, her fingers tangling in her hair as she braided it. When she had finished she looked over at her sister, deciding to voice her worries to the younger. "Erica, I don't think that we'll be able to stay here for much longer. The town that we go to keeps getting filled with more of the government's men every time we go to get supplies. I think they may be catching up to us, and I don't want to wait until the last minute like I did last time." Liev said rather quietly as she stood over the counter, preparing a cup of tea to start her morning. She then glanced over at her sister, silently asking if she'd like a cup as well. She added a spoonful of sugar and some honey before taking a sip, the slight burn of it rather relaxing, and being relaxed was something that she needed right now. The last time that she had gone to get some more food for the ever growing orphanage, she couldn't help but feel trepidation the entire time. The next town was much farther away, and Liev knew that it was crawling with even more men.
The thoughts of them having to move again had worried her all throughout the night, and she had even had to induce sleep on herself when she grew tired of feeling so restless. Despite having induced the sleep, there were still prominent bags underneath of her eyes that told others of her long night. Liev traced her fingers over the back of her neck and across her tattoo at the thought of possibly losing one of the children. Despite all the loss her sister had recently faced, she was glad that she was back to help out at the orphanage. It was at this time that she needed her back here most, as the orphanage continued to grow bigger and bigger, and Liev feared that she wouldn't be able to handle it by herself anymore. She loved that she was able to help so many kids though, but it wasn't as easy as she initially thought that it would be.
"I'm especially worried about the younger kids, and how we're going to travel this time. I don't want anyone to get left behind." She said, the worry evident in her voice. Of course she was worried about the older kids as well, but they all seemed to have decent control of their powers. Still, not all of them were able to blend in, and realizing that made her worry all the more. She placed her cup back down on the counter and traced her fingers around the rim as she thought of what to do. Glancing at the kitchen clock she saw that it was rather early, the sun having just risen maybe an hour ago. The kids would probably be waking up and coming downstairs soon. She would have to come up with a decision soon, as she didn't want to stall. Hopefully she'd have a plan by the end of the week, before they were caught. Goodness, this was much more stressful than she thought that it would be, yet she never regretted her decision to start the orphanage.
This is what the house looks like. The majority of it is underground and all the rooms are the children’s bedrooms, the two up top belonging to Liev and Erica.
