Annie had been correct in her assumption that the cheese was of good quality. By taste she would say that it was a dwarven goat cheddar, as the hint of mushroom meant it was either moon elf, or dwarven, but it had more the dwarven earthy flavor. When she heard Avari's question she turned her attention back to her and said, "Well it is a bit complicated, and I do not fully understand it. Especially because there was an oddity in the process so it does not work quite normally. I am the host mind, and I am usually in control. However as she lives in my head more or less she is privy to my mind, and can see most all of my thoughts. She can communicate with me in my mind, but her mind at least is her own. Think of it this way, she is a spectator in my mind. She can watch all that goes on, and remember what has occurred. I can look over, and maybe see what she is doing right now, and hear her calling out, but I cannot see everything that she is doing. She can leave me to my thoughts, but it is not something I can make her do. I maintain more control over my body, but have less privacy. What little true privacy I have comes on Kirra's goodwill. Ah also, my appearance is unrelated." As she turned back to her meal she placed the last of the cheese aside, and began to eat the meat. She carved a chunk of meat off of the large piece and began to eat, making short work of each chunk. @Ameythyst

By the time Annie had finished answering Avari's earlier question, she found her plate completely empty, and had to resist the urge to lick the plate. Instead, she placed down her silverware, making sure they were straight, and motioned for a server to pick up the soiled dishes. The man picked up her plate and utensils, leaving the area in front of her empty. It made Avari feel slightly uncomfortable, since most people were still eating, even Annie who sat down at the same time as her was still barely making it to the meat part of her dish, and others were too, whether it was their first dish, or their third.She was tempted to ask for another plate of food, not because she was still hungry, but to simply to have something to pick into in between talking and while she was listening, but in the end, decided against that. Rather she began to closely observe the details of the lace trimming on her dress, which was white in color.

The air between them fell silent, since Avari didn't have any more questions to ask that wouldn't be too invasive. After all, it had only been a couple hours since they had meet, and she didn't really think that if she started asking the deep and personal questions she'd get a good reaction. Well, perhaps Annie wouldn't react so harshly, since she seemed too kind for her own good, but if what she was assuming about Kirrashax was true, then she would probably mind the invasiveness.

Avari pondered over what it would be like to have no privacy, since she herself was a pretty private person, who didn't like to show any sort of emotional weakness. She may not be great at magic, or physical fit, but she made sure to be an unbeatable fortress when it came to her emotions in mind. So in those times of weakness, she had a preference to be alone, to sort out her own problems, and if someone lived in her head, then she wouldn't even get the option to. Having someone to consult about things at anytime wouldn't be so terrible, but as far as Avari could see, that was the only plus side to the arrangement.

And then she thought about what it'd be like to be a spectator, to watch everything but not be able to intervene without someone else's permission. She had a feeling she'd rip her own roots out from utter frustration. Thinking about being in such a position made Avari realize she wouldn't be able to survive not having control, and thankful for having completely control of her body and mind.

Avari began to fidget in her chair, the silence beginning to grow too much for her. Annie probably wasn't as uncomfortable, since she had something to keep herself occupied with, while Avari had nothing to do but ponder. All that thinking was also starting to make her head throb, and Avari felt desperate for something to breathe new life into the conversation.

"Well, uh, do you do magic? Or do you have some sort of, uh skill perhaps? Hobbies?" Her voice kept getting higher and she continued to speak, feeling like an utter buffoon, and quite upset at herself for being so dreadful when it comes to social skills. Oh, how she wished she was one of the charismatic people who could talk the night away.

Kuno sighed while looking at Avari and Annie talk to each other, and he began to watch them talk, since he was really bored. 'Wonder how the forest is doing... Hopefully the animals are doing fine.' Kuno thought to himself as he kept looking at the two, and he kept on pondering about "Genocide Forest".

'Would these girls think it will be weird if I stared at them? Maybe...' Kuno thought to himself as he kept on looking at them, admiring how well they can socialize and such. Kuno then sighed at of relief, since the loads of food he ate were finally setting in a good place, in his stomach.

talking about: @TheWhiteScarf and @Seraph Darkfire
With a rather full mouth Annabelle suggested "How about we try going up to them and talking to them? That would work". Annabelle will follow Srion and Wynter if they go over to them first, but for now she just needs to finish the succulent raspberries and crunchy meringue. As she chewed with vigour she studied the small moth fluttering about near the wax candle. It had a nice creamy-brown colour and a circular patterns on its wings. While she was watching the moth curiously a member of staff noticed and came over to swiftly get rid of the moth. Annabelle looked at the man with slight disappointment but carried on eating with no more entertainment.

Srion looked at her then nodded before standing up. "you get ice and I'll get the other one?" she asked looking down at Wynter. She did hope that doing this would bing the two over not wanting anyone to sit alone. She looked at the two guys then back down at Wynter before moving away from the table a bit.

@JayKuro @Cheryl

Annie sat, quietly eating the raw beef. She especially savored the still slightly warm blood with it's pleasant salty heat. She loved cheese, but it had very little nutritional value to her. Her wings were feeling itchy, and she shook them slightly behind her on the bench seat. She either needed to find a good place to groom, or take a nice long flight. Hopefully after dinner they would be assigned rooms and she could settle down to properly preen for the first time in a while. She was turning back to her food when she felt someone staring in her direction. She glanced out of the corner of her eye and saw one of the more human looking people here staring at her and Avari. Then after Avari asked her a question, she turned her attention to her new friend and said, "I have no particular magical training or ability, although according to Kirra I am an ample source of energy. I know a bit about cheese, and more about herbalism, but it has been a while since I have been able to practice much with either. I can hunt fairly well, but that is not something I particularly enjoy. I guess the closest I have to a hobby is flying. I love the feeling of freedom, flying high up in the sky. Also by the way someone sitting at a table behind us was staring our way." She spread out her wings behind them, hiding them both behind her grey feathers.

@Ameythyst @TheWhiteScarf

Avari nodded in reply when Avari spoke about her hobbies, content, but when Annie mentioned there was a person observing them, the hairs on her neck stood on edge, and her whole mood flipped. She immediately put up a guard, remembering her training from her days in the family home. Being a noble meant that there was a constant price for your head, a constant target on your back, and everyone was trained in basic defense skills, since assassination and abduction attempts were unfortunately all too common. Whenever she used to go out in public, she always had a guard, so she was never without defense, but right now, that was not the case.

She was very grateful when Annie spread her wings, which was probably shielding Avari more the it was Annie. But due to the size of her wings, it made it difficult to peer over them while still looking natural, in order to see who was watching them. She craned her neck however, pretending to look for a server, and used her peripherals in order to find the offender.

Finding the person wasn't hard, since they were sitting alone, and before Avari was aware of what she was doing, she made direct eye contact. The person was clearly younger than Avari, still in the midst of their teenage years, but that didn't make Avari calm down. There was a certain look to their eyes, something that made her shiver, and had nothing to do with the temperature of the room.

She turned back around, cursing the stupid academy, where everyone had unusual looking eyes. Couldn't there just be someone who had normal, friendly looking eyes? But fate didn't really like her all that much. She turned her eyes back to the table, keeping her voice low so that only Annie could hear her, "You don't think that, well, they're a bad person right? I'm sure they wouldn't just put the other students in harms way by having people that could be a threat. What are your thoughts huh? Should we be vigilant?"

@Abberakelaran @TheWhiteScarf

Kuno noticed that the two girls noticed him looking at them. He then quickly looked away from the two, and just looked at the amounts food left on the table.

'Well that was awkward. God I'm suck a dork. Ugh...' Kuno thought to himself as he sat at his seat, and played his scarf. Kuno made his scarf go around his neck fully and he sighed.

'Wonder what will happen at this time...' Kuno thought as he then to looked back at Avari and Annie once again, since he wanted look and listen. 'They seem.. Nice?' Kuno thought as he just kept looking at them, but he was looking them at an angle to where they couldn't see him looking at him.

@Abberakelaran @Ameythyst

Annie turned back to her food for a moment while Avari looked around her wing, eating a little more. She turned her attention back when Avari turned to her and asked her her opinion. She smiled and said, "If they were brought to the academy then hopefully they have been vetted to some extent. I do not really know to be honest, as I do not know why I was brought here. They are probably not plotting anything though, or at least I hope not. We should probably be careful, but they are likely just curious." Dove noticed Avari's discomfort and curved her wing slightly around her friend. She flinched slightly, bothered by having someone that close to her wings, but she trusted Avari a bit now. Kirra spoke up again, I can feel how damned on edge that makes you, and it's annoying. Just pull your wings in. No. I can handle it and it might help. @Ameythyst

Doves wings are light grey, very soft , and quite warm. They have the look of hawk wings albeit on a larger scale.

Leilianne Kalasiin

No, no, no. This cannot be happening! Panic bit through every molecule of Leilianne's being. This was not how things were supposed to go. She had been forcefully taken away from her mother, attacked by some crazy elf, and now she was lost in a huge maze of school with nothing in sight that might help her find her way. She had to remind herself to breath, as the two other students that had been collected with her went on ahead. She nervously walked around, looking around in fear. But her panic soon turned into anger.

Who was that guy to think that he could just drag her away from her life?

She needed to find him. She looked towards the direction he had disappeared into. A stairway spiraled down into darkness, intimidating in its appearance. Leilianne gulped. She didn't want to go down there - it looked like something would pounce on her and rip her to shreds at any moment.
"And you Leilianne... are way too much trouble... far more than you're worth..." The masked man's last words echoed in her ear, making her grit her teeth. This feeling... was a fury she hadn't felt since Kenji. She smirked.

She might as well as cause him some more trouble.

Pushing away her fear, she descended down the staircase. Torches lining up the wall flickered into existence, making her gasp and then abruptly cover her mouth.
Don't be so loud, you idiot! She scolded herself, blushing because of the adrenaline rush. She continued walking down the stairway, and found herself in a long, dark corridor. Why must everything be shadowy and intimidating? So annoying.

She walked forward, torches flaring up with every step. She was still getting used to that.

There were rooms attached to the corridors, most of them locked away by heavily bolted doors. She finally arrived at a room with the door flung wide open. And standing in the middle, with his back turned towards her was a man. Relief and fear flooded her senses. This man could be the one she was looking for... Or someone who could potentially end her life. And she was going to find out which one of them he was.

"Excuse me?" She called out, hoping she didn't sound as nervous as she felt.

A Persistent Problem
' Damn... This hurts a lot more than it should, it went through my armor... And I gave my jacket to that girl... Damn it's cold in here. ' Sebastian thought as he walked into his chamber, leaving the door open since he knew he was alone. His room was a small one, barely 12 square feet big enough to hold a wardrobe, a small futon pad for a bed, a tiny vanity mirror, and a desk with a hidden compartment for his staff and mask. Sebastian pulled apart the leather straps that held his armor, and removed the lamellar throwing it in the wardrobe. He pulled off his mask feeling a rush of cool air on his face, immediately stepping towards the desk, placing his mask and staff in the hidden compartment.

He looked at his wound in the mirror, it wasn't too bad. In fact it was more of a flesh wound. He planned on seeing the nurse later but he still had to attend the dinner ceremony, so in order to stop the bleeding Sebastian summoned a small ward that covered the wound stopping the bleeding. Now he had a ruined shirt. Sebastian walked back to his wardrobe, grabbing a clean shirt and replaced the old one. Even with the new shirt, people might still see the wound so he conjured an illusion making him appear perfectly healthy. The pain was still present, reminding him of his duties as a Collector. Sebastian then projected an illusion to prevent his red eyes from being seen.

"Sebastian..." A voice said. Sebastian turned around scanning his room for danger. Nothing, just another illusion... Just another illusion... "Why couldn't you save me Sebastian? I died... Why couldnt you save me?" The voice continued. Sebastian's heart started racing, this voice... He heard it before... "You were too weak Sebastian... You deserve to burn in hell!" The voice said as it turned demonic. Sebastian turned back to his room, covering his eyes. Tears started flowing as the voice got louder, 'Why couldn't I save you?' he thought, tears flowing slowly.

"Excuse me?" Leilianne asked, fear apparent in her voice.

'What?! Her?!? How did she get in here?! Damn I should have closed the damn door!' Sebastian huffed angrily. He wiped the tears from his eyes and faced her, she was rather cute when she wasn't being resistant or angry. She was definitely scared... she had a good reason to be. If she went into Horingmar's room... he would've exploded. Still she had a strange look of determination, like she had a purpose. Cute... Her dark hair perfectly matched her gorgeous face, fashionable Elven clothes complimented her beautiful bod.... What the hell?! She's a target nothing more! 'Damn... I can't get soft now.'

"Are you lost girl? This is not the Girl's Dormitories." He asked rudely. 'Why am I being so mean? She may have caused me hell earlier, but she doesn't know who I am under the mask. I'll use that to my advantage.' "If you are trying to find something or someone I can help. Just ask." He said, forcing a tone of politeness.

Wiping her mouth with a white napkin, Annabelle noticed Srion acting all nervous to simply approach the one staring at two girls. It's rude to just stare at people, it bothered her quite a bit. She silently sipped the cool water by her and leaned on her elbows, to inquire Srion "Why aren't you going to him then? Want me to come? I'm finished you know." gesturing to her empty plate. "And I don't know about you Wynter, but the guy eating those blue berries looks fine to approach. He won't bite... probably. This is a place for weirdos like us.".

While Annabelle admired the imposing dining hall, a different tall waiter came and took away her clean plate. The soft, luminous flames upon the wax candles in the golden chandelier flickered as time passed. More than once did Annabelle's black fox ears twitched to listen to the many conversations going on in the room. At some point the same slim waiter returned and left a simple mint to freshen up her mouth, which Annabelle gladly popped into her satisfied mouth. Calmly and happily, Annabelle sucked on the sweet mint and slowly started to brush her silky tail on the oak floor as some form of entertainment to pass the time for Srion's and Wynter's reply to her comments.

"Sure I don't mind, and I don't bite." Wynter said standing up only a fourth of the way finished with his food. He walked over to the man eating berries, although he didn't sit down. "Um.. Would you mind sitting over there with me and my friends?" He asked not knowing exactly how to confront the stranger. He rocked side to side on his feet waiting for the man's response as a soft crunching could be heard underneath him from the ice he was forming.

He looked up at a chandler for a moment, wondering if it was going to fall with the odd way it was hanging down. After a few moments he determined it wasn't and looked back down at the stranger realizing he hadn't even said his name yet. 'I'm such an idiot...' He thought "my name's Wynter by the way."

Srion nodded slightly then looked over at her. "would you mind going with me?" she gave her a small smile. She may have been a little nervous about going up to someone new to her. It would be the first time she went up to someone and he looked like he was interested in the two girls in front of him. They were interesting as well, but he was sitting alone.

Kuno heard someone near him, and he turned to the people that began to talk to him. "O-Oh Hello.. I'm Kuno Geno Zella. I'm an assassin and nice to meet you two." Kuno told the two as he smiled to the two, and he kept on looking at Annabelle and Srion.

'Huh seems like Srion is pretty shy. Like me.' Kuno thought to himself as he chuckled to himself, and he focused on Srion. "Hey Srion? You okay? You seem really shy." Kuno said to Srion as he smiled happily to her.

"Don't worry about being like that with me. I'm just like you. Heh!" Kuno said to Srion, trying to make a friend, and make her feel comfortable around him. 'Heh. She is really shy.' Kuno thought to himself as he chuckled to himself again.

Seiren was a little surprised that someone would just walk right up to him. He looked at the boy who'd approached him. At first, he'd felt that his senses were wrong. He was clearly looking at a young girl, but the mixture of Yin and Yang energies within his body was too far in the Yang direction for him to be a woman.

He was a little impressed with this boy's Yin energy though. Had he been a Maleficarum, his successes would have been incredible. He nodded "I am Seiren Valneir" he said politely "In the future, you would be wise to announce yourself before your intentions" he advised.

"I would also advise you to learn to control your Yin energy" he held out his hand and the cold air around Wynter was slowly pulled towards him "It is your emotions, they are upsetting your internal energy and forcing out the Yin Energy" he sounded quite cold, but he was being helpful. He didn't like being around others, but he'd been raised to be polite so he couldn't just force people away. Besides, when it came to the manipulation of Yin energy, he was a bit of an expert.

"In answer to your question, I can join you, I am currently not doing anything else"
he wasn't training currently.

@JayKuro

"I had the feeling you were an ice magic user. Thank you for the advice." He said smiling a big still rocking back and forth. "Do you think you could teach me a few things once you have the free time?" He asked putting his hands behind his back and looking over to the girls to see how they were doing.

"Well I think the girl's are coming back now, so I think we can go back to the table." He said looking back at Seiran.

@Seraph Darkfire

He nodded and stood up, picking up the bowl of berries "I could teach you a few things, though a majority of them would be useless to you without prior training" he said "Tempering one's body with the cold requires a deeper understanding of both one's internal energy as well as the outside forces" he idly wondered if this boy was talented enough to become a powerful Maleficarum. Ultimately though, that was up to Wynter himself. If he had other goals, then Seiren wouldn't push the subject.

"Ok, sure." replied Annabelle, gingerly standing up from the aged table as to not drop anything "I'll lead the charge". As soon as she was up and away from the table the short staff that took away her parasol returned with it and offered it to her, which Annabelle promptly took and swung it over her head as if to protect herself from the dust falling from the sky.
Trotting over to the lone teenager's back expecting Srion to be waiting shyly behind her back Annabelle introduced herself. "Hi there! I'm Annabelle Kia Rose, and the Sun Elf behind me is called Srion. What about you?" Annabelle stepped to the side hoping that Srion was there.

@TheWhiteScarf
Srion gave her a small smile then fallowed her over. she did hold back as she was nervous to meet another person. walking up to him she gave him a shy smile then blushed as he spoke to her. "o-ok..umm...would..would you like to sit with us?" she asked quietly as she pointed to the seats they just came from. she then looked over and gave him another small smile

"Really? I never knew that, I guess I haven't really had any training before." He said thinking about it for a few moments before walking back to the table he had been at before. He started eating again glad the soup hadn't gotten completely cold, although he really wouldn't have cared if it did. "I'm actually interested in how you're suppose to train."

@Seraph Darkfire

Seiren nodded as he took the seat across from Wynter "Many people train differently, Warriors train by strengthening their bodies through constant physical exorcise. Sorcerers train their minds and magic by studying spells and using them repeatedly" he popped a berry into his mouth "I am what is known as a Maleficarum, we are Sorcerers that train and excel in one particular element, forgoing any other"

"I train differently than anyone else, I meditate, bringing my body to peak condition and absorbing the energies of Yin into my body, using it to become one with my element, this method not only strengthens my body naturally, but it also tempers my soul and mind, defending me against those attacks too"

@JayKuro

(Sorry for the late reply)

"A maleficarum? That sounds interesting." Wynter said thinking for a moment. He knew he was no where near strong enough to be a warrior bit a sorcerer didn't sound so bad. 'Once you get passed the tongue twisting words I'm sure it can't be that hard. But then again a Maleficarum sounds even more interesting.' He thought as he continued eating.

"How much meditation do you do in a day?" He asked genuinely curious as to how long he sat still.

@Seraph Darkfire

((It is fine))

Seiren looked thoughtful "Before I came here, I would spend around eight hours meditating" he said "Of course, that was before I finished tempering my body. The stronger a Maleficarum's body is, the longer they can go without food and sleep" he watched Wynter for a second "Your body is quite small, you would not handle extensive meditation" he made sure more berries were brought to him before he continued eating.

@JayKuro

"Well I can still always try, I mean I guess I'm stronger than I look." He said not knowing how exactly strong he looked, although thought he looked pretty strong. 'I guess I can go quite a while without food I don't know much about the sleep though.

"Eight hours seems like a long time. Just how long have you been training?" He asked 'I'm guessing a few years or something if he can go eight hours straight.'
