Help RPN Discord link.

I mainly got back into the website because I wanted to also be a part of the RPN Discord group. I made a new account, as I go by Chiraux now, and since my other account had been dead for more than a year, I thought it was okay, but I just changed the name on my old Discord account. The problem is that I registered that Discord account under a different email than the one I registered with here, and I would like to keep it registered under the old email. Can I be sent an invite link as a short-term fix? May I also suggest that you can use a different email to link your Discord with rather than use the one linkned to your RPN account? I understand that doing such would require more hassle, but as most of the people use the same email in both RPN and Discord, it would be an optional hassle.

Hello C Chiraux ,

The discord server is 100% integrated via the RPNation website, as such there are no invitations to be sent as they wouldn't allow you to even interact within the server without an associated account here on RPNation. You can always update the e-mail address on RPNation itself to match your Discord e-mail (if it isn't already used by your other account).

It is being used with my old account. If I change my email on Discord for just a while and then change it back once I'm in the Discord server will I stay in the server? I might try it before you respond.

UPDATE.
I had already changed my Discord email to the email I used in making this account on RPN. When I tried linking my Discord, it said it was logging in as Chiraux and it used my password, but it said that my name was "crystalizzed" or something similar, and I don't know why it linked that account, as that account was made by my brother on a different device, and I can't get it to link to my normal account.

Well, this is awkward.

I guess I didn't explain it properly.
When I set it up there, it connects me to an account named "crystalizzled," that I don't own. I didn't see a way to change which account it links you to in the 3 times I tried it, and now that I think about it, I already explained this.

Have you tried changing your RpN email to match your Discord email? First disassociate the Discord account, then change emails, then reassociate, and see if that works.

Firstly, please completely disassociate your RPNation account from Discord here at the bottom.


Check the box and confirm.

Please keep in mind that it can take between 10 mins to an hour to sever this association and to re-associate.

If you follow the directions linked previously and go to associate your account, it will ask you to login to your discord account. That is the account for your Discord, not any other account. So, login as you would normally for Discord with your Discord account you wish to use (regardless of email). If it is still logging you into an account that isn't yours, that is an issue on Discord as it would be your Discord account, not your RPNation account. All the directions do and what associating does it links your RPNation to your Discord.

If you are still being logged into another account, try only logging into Discord with the login information you have been attempting to associate with and see if it still logs you in under another account.

I've tried the solutions you've suggested already. Thanks to both of you, though. I'll try asking the Discord support team about it.
