Rp ideas. Please help.

Soviet Panda

Red Panda Commanda.
Roleplay Type(s)
First of all, the rp is not limited to fantasy. Now, I want an rp that everyone that joins this to enjoy it for one reason. Everyone had a hand in making it. Now, in order for this to work everyone has to be mature and realize that everything they want they will not get. You win some you lose some. Other then that, be nice to each other and throw out some ideas.

Perhaps each character has some form of psychological disorder like intense depression or hallucinations, which stem from some form of magical rupture from another dimension. Due to the rupture the aforementioned individuals develop a strong affinity for magical energy which draws the attention of whomever or whatever is on the other side of the rupture. To be able to resist the growing darkness (or join the growing darkness) the individuals much figure out what this all means, perhaps by venturing into the aforementioned rupture? It might be just me but having characters with a preconceived ailment would spice any kind of role play up.

An example would be: Man is exposed to Magical energy, man develops multiple personality disorder, suddenly has the ability to split into copies of himself with the aforementioned personalities.

Just spit balling here~

I actually quite like @Mediocritys Muse's idea, but maybe instead of them getting their illness from the magical energy coming from the rapture, the characters actually already have their illness and the magic created it into a kind of super-ability/magical-ability.

Also, some motivation for the person/thing on the otherside could be them wanting to create an army for themselves, and tested it's magic on the characters to see if it would be successful, but didn't know that the characters would turn out like they did. The thing could try and coax the characters to become the Generals of it's army or something, and the characters can either accept the invitation or try and stop it from taking over the world.

Just an idea though.

What about phobia? For example, Arsonphobia/Pyrophobia - Fear of fire (Power of Fire),

It would be hard to do, however. Power over fire, yet a fear of it, an irrational one since its a phobia. They would never want to use their powers, and would be rather ordinary. The dissorders are playsible, though hard to do for long. I have tried to play as a mad man on countless occasions, and eventually J ran out of ideas to thpe.

I'm combining the first two idea. The concept seemed too complex, so a simpler and a more easily understand concept is Phobia (darkness within your self, basically)

At first you got into an accident that left you traumatic and really scared of a certain thing until you developed a phobia. Then the rupture came out and the creatures crawled out of it and start attacking. These 'cowards' found out that what they scared out the most become Humanity's hope. Now they have to conquer their fear in order to safe humanity?

I personally agree, it would be easier, and make more sense

Yes, I can agree with that. Anyone else have anythi g that want to suggest? I personally want giant robots, because I like giant robots, but in the current setting I'm not seeing much of a need for them. In fact, last nigbt, after I typed this up, I was thinking what would come out kf this. What showed up in my head was a bionically enhanced centaur of all things.

On phone, excuse spelling mistakes.

When did this section get here? I like it.

Not really a new idea but I like that phobia concept. I guess if you had a phobia, your worst imagination would be to have what you fear near or inside you (constant darkness around you, burning alive, having insects eat your organs, getting eaten by a monster, etc.). The sheer will to create a distance between you and what you fear would cause you to make it appear in the real world. For example, let's say somebody barely managed to get out of a burning building and as a result he develops a fear of fire. The thought of burning again is so terrifying that he accidentally causes a tree next to him to catch fire.

A mentally unstable person would be especially powerful but also much more dangerous. In case of the phobia mentioned above, seemingly random fires could appear in a city or huge insects/monsters might appear out of nowhere.

Over the course of the story, the "cowards" as they are apparently called would find out that it's not their fear but their willpower that causes those things to appear, leaving them two options: 1) Learn to control their fear in order to control their powers or 2) get prevented to use their powers through constant administration of sedatives or by dying.

That was just a small thought running through my head. Here's another one:

Time travelers want to kill Hitler but land in the wrong time, causing a third world war.

Oh, and I don't really want to write this because it's kinda fun to be an "Unlucky Member" for having exactly 13 posts but I just realized that my (first) idea would actually allow things like huge robots or bionically enhanced centaurs. I'm sure there's a phobia for that. ^^

No trying to sound mean, I really mean this, but I couldn't help but laugh. Super in depth explanation, then suddenly time travel, Hitler, and WWIII. Not a laughing matter, I know, but still chuckled.

Try to explore something new Wulf. Take a look at all the RPs out there and twist in something cool. Like;

Typical Zombie RP: Put things in reverse. Have the zombies not wanting to become humans. There is a vaccine that cures them...but they don't want it. Who wants to become a living human?

Typical High School RP: Change the view. Role-play as the teachers and how they have to deal with these stupid kids.

Typical Big Robot RP: Have the energy source tied to character's life. The more they use the robot, the older they get until they reach the age they're supposed to die. (I so totally might steal this)

Already have an idea knocking about.

So here is my idea, and don't be afraid to say your own after I say mine. Humanity has fallen to zombie hordes. It just happaned so fast, they had no time to react. But those cities there were prepared, became sanctuaries. With walls taller then even the tallest mech standing on it's own shoulders three times over, and as thick as one of those mechs laying down, it was safe to say nothing was getting in, not the most massive horde or determine of bandits. Yet all is still not well. Humanity wishes to once again rise, like a pheonix from the ashes. So, they made the greatest killing macbines that walk the streets today, mechanized units. Coming in many varjeties, they proved tough enough to handle mutants and large hordes with relative ease. And military grade equipment makes fighting off bandits easy as pie. But these sanctuaries have splintered apart, forming their own city-states. Tensions are on the rise, as are the numbers of infected making trade difficult. A battle is brewing, and not against the undead.

So your idea is that you've got zombies and mechas and you plan to make humans the biggest problems? Meh. How about people don't lose their intelligence when they turn into zombies, making them not only able to operate mechas but also build some themselves. Oooh, imagine huge mecha hordes doing the zombie walk towards a large city.

Sorry, please ignore this short spike of creativity. Your idea sounds interesting. I've never heard of people combining those two genres

Well, when you have giant machines, zombies don't seem like a big problem. Mutants are a little bit, but that's beside the point. Let's say your suit is damaged or malfunctions, you're out in the wilds with next to nothing. On the other hand, there are other people with the same technology and the same needs and wants.

So are we all settled for the mecha/zombie survival?

You should read a manga called Chrono trigger that does this with a demon host.

I say, this is about the most interesting beautiful idea I have ever heard of. Also way ahead of ya with the enemies, very simple thing to implement. So there is an Organization for whatever reason and they decide 'Screw the man, I would rather die than let them have their way!' So they attempt to bring down the wall for whatever reason, the leader has a grudge against humanity, could be insane or just hell bent on killing everything. Maybe other Governments may funnel zombies through a tunnel to a certain opposing government area, jump in at the last moment and proclaim them selves to be the hero's. Someone might believe it is a necessary step in pushing humanity to push beyond the walls and reclaim what was humanities birthright.

Just a few ideas I thought I could throw at you for plot, also mech's perhaps if the mutants or zombies have been around long enough you use these mech's to fight the larger abominations that have plagued this world of ours. Whilst humanity has in-fight disputes against one another saying

'we deserve more we made the mech's.'

'But we get you the resouce for those mech's.'

'Yeah and who built the walls for this city.'

'If you didn't notice already, I have the bigest guns.' Ect.

Food for thought...... (:3)(> :D )(^.^)

If you want a little inspiration go watch a anime called 'Black Bullet' it is the SHIZ!

I have already thought of the last part. But they are great ideas.

Oh, I should post the link when I can.
