RP Content Allowances

I understand the rule about RPs not being able to exceed PG-13 content, and I agree with it one hundred percent. My question is about what would be acceptable under the category PG-13.


More specifically, as I know you can't go into details for the 'mating process', would posting "Time Skip" be acceptable for that? As in-not going into any sort of details, but referencing that it still happens, then restarting the Role Play afterwords?

I used to do that, it's a good question; whether fade to black's innuendo is acceptable or not.

It's just no explicit content - you can totally fade to black. ^^

Fade to Black is what's advised, but content talking about the dirty deed is not* allowed. So, you could reference it, ex. "We sleep together last night." But you're walking on thin ice if you say lots of details.

I'm sure you've seen movies that are rated PG-13 before. In those, scenes of a sexual nature start with the participants kissing and pawing at each others' clothed bodies and perhaps stripping off to underwear/shirtless (for a guy). Then the scene changes to the aftermath, the couple laid in bed after the act, properly covered by bedding. That's how 'fade-to-black' works. The implication that something more happened 'off-camera' is fine, just as long as there is no in-depth descriptions of nudity, sexual activity or 'lights-off activity' (i.e. describing things via what might be heard in a room when the lights go out). Essentially, if you are writing something and you think you wouldn't show or read it to a young teenager, then you should probably not post it on the site.
