Rouge Primordial

Ten Thousand Club
I planned on having the rouge Primordial have a part in my next campaign. However, I can not think of what concept he would/should represent. Any ideas?

He/she/it will be a...fifth(?) axis on the whole invade creation thing. Howeer, he is not twisted like his Yozi brethren and wishes to "cure? them and return creation to its former glory in a less...destucive manner then the Yozi.

Edit: lol topic misspelling

Maybe the mathematical principle of addition, adding together what is less to create what is greater. Sort of like the Omega Point, seeking to combine everything into one supreme and transcendent whole. It could be the ancestor of all Primordials (and therefore all things) who regrets having divided itself and wants to recollect everything into a single sublime unity.

Just a passing idea.

I really dig Quchu's idea. Run with it. I've always used him as a different cipher in each game I've had it show up really.

In retrospect, the idea I suggested above might make a really handy "antagonist". It can be either villainous or heroic depending on how you handle it--the concept was seen as abhorrent in Evangelion (though, to be honest, I haven't watched it myself but that's what I heard) and sublime in Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri. It's an option to the Neverborn's Oblivion, the Yozi's tyranny, the Fair Folk's chaos and the Autochthonian's desolation... except that, like the other four, it'll probably result in the end of your continued existence.

At least as an individual entity.

In Evangelion, it's seen as bad because it involves turning everyone into orange kool-aid. Still, watch the show. It's awesome in its own way, like an epic psychological trainwreck. You just can't stop watching to find out what mind-screw the put Shinji in next.

I like the idea of the him being the "First", however mathematical principals make me think of She Who Lives in Her Name. Order and all that. Rulership is Malfeas' thing too. Hmm.

I plan on him having his own unique Exalt fashined by Auto before his self-exile to guard him. So maybe guardianship? Also, if it matters, the players will start out as heroic mortals and work their way (I plan on a LONG story arc).

Preservation, existence, continuation, etc.? If it's something along that line, it might explain why it outlasted almost all the other Primordials and is still very interested in remaining as it is.

Continuation could work. It would also parallel the infinity of the Wyld, which seems appropriate for the First (as I now like to think of him) being, well, the first. :P

Now, next question. What kind of charms should I give his guardian Exalt? Mirroring the charms of the GSP would be my first instinct, but I don't have that book yet so I'm not sure if the would be best.

Actually, giving them very simplistic powers would be more appropriate, I think--maybe just Excellencies, even. You could interpret this as saying that this is the extreme basis of all Essence-based powers that future powers developed from.

Also, a side note: psycholinguistically speaking, the colors red and black are the first colors human brain recognizes as real in its mental index. Maybe the typo in the thread name might not be too off from where this is going. :P

Well the exaltation was made after all of the others, Auto's last work before leaving for Elsewhere. Also being defence oriented, perfect defenses and such would be a minimum addition. Also (this probably would have helped earlier) the exaltions was made as, effectively, a second Third Circle soul for the First.

I like the idea of minimalistic charms, but excellencies alone may be too spartan for his "native" charms. Also, I'll need to be able to cover any possible akuma that may develop durind the course of the game. Thats why I was thinking along the lines of the GSP charms, but as I haven't actually seen them... :? . What are the GSP excellencies Like?

Edit: A thought- Give the exalt juat excellecies, and also give him the ability to learn ANY other power he encountures (similar to Loras the Dead Sun)? Starts simple and then can adapt to any given situation based on whats at hand, seems like something Auto would do.

if there purpose is primarily to defend and they are at celestial level then a perficct parry that explicitly defends somebody else would be appropriate. if you gave them this without giving them a perfect defense that protects themselves they would naturally acquire a far more teamwork oriented attitude than other exalts, not just the ability to be stronger with allies, but the absolute need to have allies watching your back.

I've toyed with this idea myself. My result was Autocthon's "sister": where he represented the complex order of the machine, she represented the sublime order of purity. She fled because Auto warned her, and because she was totally unsuited to fighting. What she did instead was steal some of Creation's elemental essence when SWLihN set fire to the place, rearranging and constructing it into her own little Creation-like world, on the inside of a spherical shell around herself, completely self-contained. Then she put her own lowest souls into humanlike bodies and started developing them into something as much approximating Exalted as she could manage - ending up with what was essentially a world full of strong god-blooded.

This, perhaps, she would use to try and retake Creation, or perhaps to help her brother, or to try fix the Yozis, or whatever purpose you'd need.

For the exalt of the First, I was going to have the host be an being custom made to house and exaltation. Not really sure on the specifics yet, but I would equate him to being an "enlightened" human (though I use the term human loosely).

The fun part is going to be when he interacts with the PCs. After having spent the years from which Auto departed to now with a being with a serious case of Multiple Personalties and fighting war after war against the unshaped as they ply their way through the chaos of the Wyld. Then entering a world totally alien to his own, his motivation being to bring peace to the closest thing to a family hes ever known at any cost. This will make it pretty easy to have an "accidental" misunderstanding between him and the PCs.

All hail, Dyson...a...Dysona! And her mighty Sphere! :P

For our campaign we determined that 4Chan's Longcat was the missing Primordial, in the form of the Infinite Cat at the End of the World. A snow white feline with piercing blue eyes that can only be seen during times when the very fabric of Creation is in peril. As such it was seen by a few frightened souls during the Usurpation, and the Great Contagion.

The Third Circle Souls of the Infinite Cat would be the various popular memes of 4Chan run through an Exalted filter. So We ended up with things like the Child-loving Ursine, Pale Keeper of the Sacred Moot, and the Blue-haired Soul who is not a Soul.
