Realistic or Modern Romance in the Dorms

"15 minutes doesn't sound too bad," Nadia said, resting her head against the window. "It's gotten pretty dark out, huh? Oh, and hello, Stomach Sidekick de Doyle Dixon. And, hey, Lucy's driving, not us, so no worries."

Mel picks up the phone and says,

"Thanks Lulu!"

She taps the numbers on the screen at a rapid speed and calls the place a old Chinese man answers the phone and Mel asks the group,

"What do you all want to eat? But make it quick Mr. Xiao is impatient."

Melody

Mel nodded,

"Okie Dokie Lulu."

She replied before ordering the meal along with a large bowl of wonton soup in case the beach get colds cold. She hung up the phone and reached up front to place it in the cup holder. She looked at the road ahead of her and smiled.

"You should turn the radio on. Put some audio buzz on. At least it won't make us dizzy from listening. Doyle said. "So...Spencer, right? Looking at you makes me think you are some sort of a genius. Am I right?" Doyle said while pressing his palms on the front passenger's seat and using it to pull his body closer to him.

Spencer looks in the rear view mirror at Doyle, smiling slightly. "A genius with an IQ higher than Tanner. And an eidetic memory." He states, joking slightly, but he chews the inside of his cheek and messes with his fingers nervously as he speaks. He didn't want to be looked differently upon or anything because he was a genius, he didn't want to be hated for it either, not like in high school. He didn't want to repeat that.

Melody

The girl felt her eyelids droop as she drifted off to sleep taking a small nap.

((Im gonna fade to black for a few and will be back in like 10-15 mins maybe a little bit less than that.))

Melody

When Mel finally awoke they were less than two minutes away from the beach. She rubbed the sleep out of her eyes and said sleepily,

"When we get to the beach who wants to go with me to get the guitar and possibly a few other things while the others start a fire and wait for the food to arrive?"

She asked hoping that she wouldn't have to carry the guitar and some chairs all by herself. Yes the girl was strong due to her practicing self defense but she still didn't want to do all heavy lifting work.

"I'll help ya." Doyle replied, half-sleeping, while resting his head on his seat. He tried to get a nap, hoping that it won't end up him vomiting all inside the car (advice for people who don't get drunk that bad, once you do, NEVER, NEVER lay down in bed or anywhere else.). "Just tell me what you need me to carry and I'll do it."

Melody

Mel smiled,

"Thanks!"

The girl cheered before pointing at a car outside Nadia's window,

"Hey! That looks like a car that was in the parking lot earlier when Tanner and I were abducting Lucy!"

She exclaimed before trying to remember who's car it was.

"Huh, what?" Nadia said, rubbing her eyes as Melody shouted something in her ear. Or it felt like shouting, anyway. "I must've fallen asleep... what are we looking at? Are we there yet?"

Spencer smiles and gets out of the truck, shutting the door and leaning against it as he waits for everyone else to get out. He pushes his hair out of his eyes and looks at the floor as he waits.

"Alright then. Time to go. Ocean girl, lets go get the stuff we need." Doyle turned to Mel, with a smile on his face. "Ladies first." he says, pointing behind him, waiting for her to lead the way so he can follow.

Melody

Mel smiles and replies to Nadia,

"Well Lulu answered your first question and there's a car that looks familiar and I wanna know who's car it is!"

She exclaimed,

"And okie dokie Superdude. Nadia, Lu, and spence we'll be back!" She cheered running off towards where the judges said the stage should be located at. It took five minutes to get there and Mel exclaimed,

"Here we are! And I think I earned the right to be called my name Superdude and if you don't wanna call me Mel then at least call me Marina or Mar."

"What's the rush?" Doyle asked her while walking slowly after her, his eyes pinned down at the sea. The reflection of the moon was beautiful and the sound of waves was soft music to his ears. "Alright, alright." he said, after Mel's comment. "I still like calling you ocean girl. It kinda got stuck, you know? But I can call you Mel if you call me Charming Prince." he said, a smirk on his face. "Just kidding. Call me Doyle or D. Either's fine with me, ocean Mel."

Spencer turns around and looks at Lucy from across the car and smiles at her, "just me you and Nadia then I suppose." He says, weren't they supposed to make a fire or something like that? And wait for the Chinese food, his stomach was making sure to remind him of that.

Robert saw the truck pull up and thought he had seen D and Nadia, so he started to shuffle towards them. His cheek was red and swollen and his beer was filled with sand

Mel laughed,

"When I was younger my mom always taught me that the first thing that leaves a persons mouth before they attempt to change up what they're saying, is actually what they meant."

She said looking up at the sky longingly as the moon illuminated the ocean, its mysterious glow appeared. The girl missed her mother everyday and she wondered if her mother was alright with living up in the sky so far away from her. The girl held a single hand up to the sky as if to reach for it,

"Therefore I'm gonna follow my mothers teachings the same way I follow my dreams!"

The girl says with a smile. She turns to face Doyle,

"Come on princy boy we gotta get back to where the others are soon if you wanna eat."

She smiled before leading the rest of the way.

Spencer helped Lucy collect some sticks quietly before he finally opens his mouth to speak. "I honestly didn't think I would have done any of this today. Or ever." He laughs a little, nervous again. He was always nervous.

"What time is it?" Nadia asked, yawning as she carefully climbed out of the car. "Hiya, Bobby. Fancy meeting you here. We're gonna build a fire," she said, excitedly. While normally not the eccentric type, the drinks definitely lowered her inhibitions. "Anyone got a lighter? Or are we doing this the caveman way?"

Spencer grins, putting his sticks on the pile with Lucy's. "Anti party folk have to stick together, right?" He jokes a little and sticks his hands in his pockets as he looks at the lighter that she had nicked at Tanner. He shifts his weight to one foot, looking over at Nadia who was talking to a guy named Bobby. Was that the guy who was supposedly madly in love with Lucy? Ah who knew.
