Realistic or Modern Romance in the Dorms

Mel

Mel smiled and said,

"Thanks and I'm in!"

She cheered. Mel looked over at Nadia and asked,

"Nadia you wanna come?"

She asked the more the merrier was Mel's motto when it came to the beach. She loved running around and

"Beach... right," Nadia said, nodding. "Why not? Please lead the way, because I have no idea where I'm going. At this rate, I don't even know how I'll get back to my dorm."

"Geez guys, I was expecting to go alone, but you tag in. Thanks." Doyle smiled bright. "Anyways, we got a problem. I don't know how to drive and you two are a little drunk, including me." he said pointing out at Mel and Nadia. "Lucy? Doctor Who? Know how to drive? Also, I need a guitar. We can't go to the beach at night and not sing and stay by the fire!" he said, wrapping his arms around both Nadia and Mel. "We need some food too. No buzz though. I don't want to drink anymore. Just eat. What you guys think?"

Lucy smiles and nods. "I know how to drive. And we could order Chinese." she said while heading out and noticing Robert. "What the...?"

(Thanks for the catch @NorbertM, xD )

Spencer shakes his head, he didn't know how to drive. "And uh... Call me Spencer... Preferably." He bites his lip and hesitates for a moment before following Lucy. He couldn't help with a guitar considering he was musically challenged, and he was in complete agreement with Lucy about Chinese.

Mel smiled and replied,

"Well I think Lucy will not be the one driving tonight since she knows how to drink."

Mel teased before continuing,

"And I think I can help with both the guitar and the singing."

She smiled as she remembered that the contest she entered allowed her and all other contestants access to the equipment for the show so they could practice.

"And who says that people can't drive just because they're a teensy bit tipsy? Huh?"

She asked.

((Lol Ikr! (^∇^)))

Lucy huffs slightly. "You know what I meant!" she said as she took her keys out of her pocket. "Let's just go so we can get there and order Chinese food." she said while heading to her car.

"Geez, Lucy, what have you been up to while you were hiding?" Nadia joined in the teasing. "I can't say that any of my talents will come in handy here whatsoever, so... I'll just tag along for moral support. And comedic relief. How's that? Also, how are we ordering Chinese food at the beach? Do they deliver to the beach?" Nadia asked, contentedly following Lucy to her car.

Spencer looks at Melody funnily while he walks to the car with them. "If you're classed as a 'teensy bit tipsy', I do not even want to see you drunk." He says seriously, then looks at Nadia, "I am also here for moral support, and random facts." He shrugs his shoulders.

Bobby found himself in another house drinking with other people before getting in a car with others and he ended up at the beach ahead of the others still drinking and walking around.

"It's settled then! We got a driver! We got the food, or getting it! All we need is the guitar and we are set!" Doyle said enthusiastic. Walking outside, he ran towards the car. "I got the front seat!" he yelled while literally standing in front of the door, ready to barge in like he was getting a prize or something.

Lucy laughed softly as she walked around to the other side of her Ford Truck. "Nope. all the Drunks are getting in the back. I need my sane, and quiet friend, Spencer up front with me." she said and locked the doors of her truck.

Spencer laughed evilly, walking up to the car and leaning against the front of it. "I am the sane and quiet friend, so it looks like I'm getting in the front. Sorry Doyle." He smiles a little, crossing his arms across his chest.

Mel giggled at Doyle's actions as well as her friend's reaction to the teasing,

"Hey now Lu I'm not drunk! I'm just tipsy there is a major difference missy. I have yet to slur my words. So therefore I do not deserve to sit in the back."

She joked,

"And as for the guitar we need to get to the beach before I can get it so lets hurry! And I recommend everyone knows what they want from the Chinese place before we get there so we can speed up the process."

For once she actually thought something through but she knew it wouldn't last long.

"Bah. Fine. I shouldn't ditch my partner in crime anyways." he said walking over to the back seats and opening the door. "No you don't deserve the front seat! If I can't get it, neither do you! Now both of you, get in the car. My stomach can't take it anymore." he exclaimed, patting gently his stomach while keeping the door open.

Lucy laughs softly as she unlocks the car so Spencer and her can get in the front. "Well you, Nadia and D all have been drinking so I just consider you all drunks so get in the back." she said while starting up the car.

Spencer quickly slips into the front seat and shuts his door before putting his seatbelt on and clearing his throat slightly, he looks down at his hand, smiling.

"I don't think the car ride will really help your stomach," Nadia said, obediently climbing into the back seat and fiddling with her seatbelt. "Dammit," she said. "Who needs dexterity when you're tipsy, anyway. So, how far's the beach?"

Melody

Mel playfully sticks out her tongue at Doyle and Lucy before climbing into the backseat as well.

"I agree with Nadia, wouldn't a car ride make you feel even hungrier."

She could careless about a seatbelt so didn't even bother to attempt to put hers on.

"15 minutes south I believe."

She replied answering Nadia's question. It'd been a while since she'd been to Jones beach and she couldn't wait to see the stage they'd set up on the beach for the contest. Excitement twinkled in the girls bluish green eyes.

((Damn. Bonus points to me for totally misinterpreting the "my stomach can't take it anymore" line. I thought he was referring to nausea from drinking.))

"What's up with you, hunger and cars? You believe that?" Doyle says while getting inside the car. Once he put the seatbelt on, his stomach growled, loud. "My stomach decided to say hi. Stomach, the gang. Gang, my stomach. Now, let's roll." he pointed in front of the car with a wide smile on his face. "By the way, I don't know where the beach is. Hope you guys do."

'Your stomachs sound is a noise produced by movement of the contents of the gastro-intestinal tract as they are propelled through the small intestine by a series of muscle contractions called peristalsis.' He thinks to himself, but he doesn't say it. Still trying not to be such a freak around new people who he could possibly be friends with.

Melody laughs,

"You sure your stomach was only saying hi? It sounded like it had quite a bit more to say than that."

She teased and continued,

"Anywho I'll call the Chinese place and order the food ok."

She declared already searching through her pockets for her phone,

"Or maybe not... I left my phone in Tanners car."

She face palmed her self and frowned feeling stupid that she left it in his car. She shrugged it off and said,

"All well there goes that idea."

Lucy sighs softly and tosses Mel, her own phone. "Here. Call them." she said as she started the car and backed out of her parking spot and started driving towards the beach, knowing it would take them awhile to get there.
