Realistic or Modern Romance in the Dorms

"Because you're more than a 'lowly nerdy scholarship art student'?" He says, wow, what a mouthful. "You're nice, so that's probably why he likes you. And you're pretty too so that could... Yeah. I don't know." He shrugs his shoulders and sips his root beer. "Who cares what most football jocks do? They probably do that BECAUSE of that expectation... I don't know what I'm talking about. But you're cool. So..." He never knew the right things to say.

"I have no need of an ambulance. I'm a superhero, God dammit." Doyle said, quickly straightening up. "Oh damn, you make some fine drinks, I'll tell you that. Makes me wonder, you must be good at cooking too?" he asked, grinning like an idiot towards Mel until Robert's voice appeared out of nowhere. Quickly turning to Robert, he smiled. "Robert!" he said, but Robert was quickly swarmed by his football friends.

Lucy sighs softly. "Well I'm nice to everyone. And I'm pretty sure reputation is a lot more important to them then dating a charity case." She said while sipping her root beer. "But thank you for trying to make me feel better Spencer.."

Melody

Mel smiled and said,

"So we finally meet face to face steroids dude, Im gonna be blunt with you. Lucy's my best friend, ever, if you hurt her at all I will fucking slice you to pieces."

She stated frigidly with a smile,

"Now with that being said, I got a feeling LuLu likes you but she's feeling insecure. I recommend you find her soon before Spence decides to sweep her off her feet."

She said bluntly with a smile before turning to Nadia,

"I'm glad you were able to take it! I it's like swallowing a shot of gasoline correct?"

She asked the two as she leaned on the counter.

"Oh and steroids! Before you go do you wanna try my B-52 as well?"

She asked pointing to the liquor.

When Doyle asks if she's good at cooking Mel laughed,

"If you mean burning down an entire block then I must be a master chef!"

She joked,

"But no the only thing I've been capable of doing is mixing drinks."

"D!" Bobby grabbed a beer and made his way back to them, "alright alright alright." Bobby looked at melody as she spoke to him, and them offered him more alcohol. " don't mind if I do!"

"Well, you don't know, maybe this guy actually does like you, and you should like... Talk to him properly? I'm as bad at advice as I am with trying to make people feel better, I'm sorry." He sighs a little.

Lucy sighs softly while looking at the stars. "Yeah but... He seems like the kind of guy who has dated plenty of girls before... I just don't want to be another notch on the bedpost or the belt or whatever..." She said while sipping her drink.

"Hey, hey, hey, ocean girl. Don't be so mean with Robert! He's cool, I mean all this running around, wanting to talk with Lucy and stuff, I'm pretty sure he means well." Doyle explained. "Robert, you also gotta find her. She's around her, I'm sure.". Doyle walked over a couch and dropped his body on it, hitting it like a bomb. "Man, feels good to sit down and chill. It just started and I'm already like this." Doyle complained.

"Maybe you won't be another... Whatever it is you said. You never know!" He says, raising his eyebrows and turning to look down at his feet, sipping his drink again. He didn't really like it but he wasn't going to say anything.

"How am I supposed to find her? Just start yelling out her name?" Bobby raised a brow and then nodded, "say... That's a pretty good idea D! Thanks pal!"

Lucy sighs softly while sipping her drink. "Still... I just have this feeling... That it's going to be like last time..." She said while leaning back in her chair.

Melody

Mel smirked and created the concoction in minutes.

"Now listen this drink is gonna be set on fire and you gotta drink it down before the straw sets fire. Ok?"

She stated. She lit the drink on fire and placed it in front of Rob. She looked over at Doyle she listened to what he had to say and replied,

"Aight, I just wanted to make myself clear and make sure I give him his fair warning in case something does occur between him and LuLu."

She giggled at Doyle's actions and said,

"Come on Superdude you can't complain now! It's a party so you gotta get up and move, you can't sit around like that!"

She said trying to persuade him as she walked over to him. She held out her hand and said,

"Come on, you gotta get up."

When she heard robs idea she said,

"But before that look down the hall or outside she's been trying to escape the party. If she's not there come back shout out her name, still no luck she's home, in bed, asleep."

"Do you want to tell me what happened last time... Or..." He says, looking back at her now instead of his shoes. "I mean you don't have to obviously, I just. Agh." He bites his lip.

Bobby took the drink, gulped it down and walked away as if it didn't phase him, following Melodys advice of looking outside for Lucy

"You're pretty good at making drinks burn, too," Nadia said, returning to her vodka. "Shot of gasoline sounds pretty accurate... not that I've ever tried that before," she said, raising an eyebrow at Melody. "Welcome back, Babe... and see ya later, Babe," she said, as he walked off. She walked over to Melody and Doyle, who seemed a little tuckered out already. Nadia was glad she'd fallen asleep earlier. "I think Melody's warning was justified," she said, shrugging.

Lucy sighs softly. "It happened back when I was a sophomore in high school... I let myself be fooled into believing one of the most popular guys in Senior year really liked me... But I was just a play thing to him..." She said softly while looking down. "When I found out, I was broken... Especially since he had been telling horrible and disgusting lies about me..." She said softly while swirling her root beer.

Spencer frowns slightly and leans back in his chair, looking at his hands, "Well... High school is a stupid thing of the past right? I'm sorry though... He sounds like a dick." He puts his root beer down on the floor, deciding not to drink anymore.

Putting his leg over the other, he stared at Mel with a smile on his face. "Make me." he said. "I dare you, no, I double dare you." he pressed his palms behind the back of his head and kept that smile on his face. "What are you gonna do about it?" he asked her. Then, he gasped on how Robert just drank that poison with no problems at all and walked away like that drink ain't tough enough for me. "I swear, Lucy is gonna have a hell of a man. Hope she can handle it." he said. "I think we should make sure Robert stays in one piece, after all, it seems like we are becoming a group. The super-mega-hero group of friends.".

Melody

Melody smiled,

"You see that superhero that how your suppose to drink. You otta follow his example! Now i know you gotta be rusty if someone just randomly gulped that down no problem while you on the other hand had time to prepare yourself! And if LuLu can withstand being around both me and Tanner then she'll be fine. Additionally, I hope my warning was justified Nadia. We won't know until we witness what's next to come."

She said shrugging it off. Melody looked in Nadia's direction and said,

"I hope so Nadia because if it wasn't bad things most definfit She raised a eyebrow at Doyle's dare and questioned,

"Is that suppose to be a challenge sir?"

She was smirking until another devilish grin appeared on her face.

"Lucy?" Robert called out, he stood in the hall aNd heard the sounds of a couple having a good time and felt sick, he immediately thought it was Lucy and turned back toward the group in the couch

Nadia grew quiet and sipped the rest of her vodka as she watched Melody and Doyle interact. "Suddenly, I feel like I'm third wheeling," she commented and laughed. If she were honest with herself, she wasn't getting that feeling so much, but she did wish she at least had someone to flirt with. By her behavior, Nadia doubted Melody was anything other than straight, and she didn't want to make her uncomfortable.

Robert sat down on the couch, squeezing in, "well, my princess moved on it seems." He laid his head back and sighed.

((Ill reply in a few mins I'm gonna go and grab some breakfast real quick!))

Doyle's eyes grew big when he heard Nadia's comment. "Why would you feel like third wheeling?" he asked, confused. Looking at Mel, his eyes grew bigger. "Oh. Is it that obvious?" he asked again. A little heat flowed his cheeks for a bit before Robert appeared and sat down on the couch. "Robert!" he hit his forearm. "You gonna give up that easy!? You didn't even told her how you feel and boom, you give up because you think she moved on? Man up!" he rose up, grabbing him by his wrist, pulling him up. "Go look for her again! Now! I'll beat the crap out of you if you come again and hear you giving up without even telling her anything! Now shoo!" he demanded Robert, although he felt weird demanding him something when he barely knew him.
