Excellent, I do have a few questions after reading through what you've got. What's our technology like in this world? I was planning on giving my character a prosthetic arm is all and wanted to know how good it could be expected to be. Also whats the wildlife situation? Horrible irradiated monsters?

Those are good questions, to be honest. The technology in the world is fairly advanced, significantly better than what we have today, although considering the planet is suffering from the effects of nuclear war, I would say that it depends on when he got the prosthetic arm.
As for the wildlife, I would say the majority of them are killed off by explosions. Humanity would most likely be so absorbed in the panic of the catastrophe and too focused on rescuing humans to do much to care for plants and animals. However, for the few that survived, they're most likely weak and desperate, suffering in the same conditions as humanity. Some would become more hostile, while others would inevitably die off over time, weakened to an extent of not being able to care for themselves. So I would say radiation and fallout from nearby explosions would be a more pressing issue, but I wouldn't go so far as to rule them out as a threat.
