"Not a bad idea," Anastase replied. "You going alone?"


He, too, had detected some kind of Enhanced power, although he probably would have overlooked it had Arkus not said something earlier. Perhaps it was a government worker, although Anastase hoped that wasn't the case. In either case, whether it was government or other Enhanced, they probably knew they were in here, too. Anastase got on his feet, alert, but he didn't make a move to follow Arkus. Instead, he waited for the boy's response.

As they waked down the halls Maya got a strange feeling walking one of the hotel rooms. The same feeling she had got from Syfal and Calypso. She decided to wait afraid that it might be the government. She followed the two into the hotel room and took a seat in a round chair. Her chair was by the window and she can see the city. She had never seen anything like it before. All her life she seen white and grey walls. A small smile was on her face as she looked out at the streets. She was free, she could talk freely without getting hurt by Dr. Barnes. She wanted to so bad to talk but memories of the the memories she seen in criminals and even in other scientist made her to scared to talk. The outside world seemed nice but she knew that it was as dark and evil as the inside of the facility. That was why she couldn't talk. She didn't want to get attached to people unless she knew they could be trusted. Syfal and Calypso seemed like nice people but the could turn on her... just like Dr. Barnes did.


Maya looks away from the window and her smile fades. Many scientist had called the enhanced extraordinary but all she could see herself as was a monster. A monster who just wanted a normal life and childhood, but she knew good and well that was just a dream.

Arkus shrugged, "Come if you want, just don't get in my way." He got up and made his way over to the door, "I'll be right back Casp, just gonna deal with this real quick." And with that the door took on a familiar golden glow as it opened by itself and Arkus exited the room, making his way down the corridor towards where he last sensed the three presences. Eventually he got to a door and the three Enhanced re-entered into Arkus' sphere of influence. With a sly smirk, Arkus raised a hand to the door and it made several clicking sounds as it unlocked. There was a brief pause of silence and then it slammed open loudly with a bang. Arkus then floated his way in with that golden light highlighting his body and that overpowering grin strapped to his face, "Oh, it appears you have a guest. Be good hosts and introduce yourselves." And with that the hand raised again and everyone in the room would feel an intense telekinetic force slamming them backwards, pinning them to the wall or otherwise. Arkus lowered his hand as the golden glow washed over them all, keeping them still, "Or perhaps a simpler question, are you Government people? Careful, I don't like lies." The boy's eyes narrowed at the Enhanced as he stood, floating with his arms crossed. He had no lie detecting powers but he wasn't stupid. He could tell if someone was not telling him the truth, it was something he's learnt from his many years at the facility. Everyone did it, so it was easy to notice now.

Her ears had perked up at the soft yet clear clicking noises coming from the door, but it flung open to reveal the white-haired boy before she could say anything, or warn the others. Everything happened too quickly for her slow reflexes. Calypso never heard his first words upon intruding, too stunned to process what was happening. Then slammed against the wall, she cried out as pain spread across her back and along her spine. Curling up was not an option - the force holding them still in the anatomical position was too strong to resist.


"Or perhaps a simpler question: are you government people? Careful, I don't like lies." Arkus said menacingly. Calypso would have appreciated his golden irises, if they weren't now striking terror into her heart as he took turns glaring at all three of them from across the room. 


Hide, she instinctively thought as panic settled in. Borrowing from the black sky outside the window, as well as the shadows around them, she instantly engulfed the room in pitch darkness. The golden glow outlining their bodies proved useless against the altered environment, failing to aid their vision. It was pointless nevertheless, for she also knew that Mr mind freak could sense their presence regardless.


"We're not! We're not! Let us go!" Calypso desperately shrieked, wild hysteria evident in her voice. Her frightened heart drummed against her rib cage, as if it were about to burst through her chest. It hadn't crossed her mind that perhaps he wouldn't hurt them once he knew who they were - she was only anxious to escape.

Syfal didn't hear the lock being picked, but when the door flung open when he was sure it was locked, he jumped backwards instinctively. That barely helped, and he was sent towards the wall, his back hurt from the impact. He had spreaded his body to lessen the telekenetic force, but it was still painfully nonetheless. 


Being a good host huh? "Drinks are in the fridge, help yourself." He replied sarcastically, before the room was shrouded in darkness. The unknown kid that entered the room was surely an enhanced, and Syfal did nothing to resist. "Kinda hard to introduce ourselves if we're being pushed to the wall..." He shouted through the darkness.

Maya suddenly got a huge feeings before the enhanced came into the room. She was flung into a wall making her drop everything. She couldn't help but let out a squel. Her body ached at the impact. She didnt say a word though until the darkness covered the room. No, not the dark. she said to herself. She let out a scream. "Please please let me down. Turn on the light." her words were rushed and jumbled. Tears spring from her eyes. She would be shacking if it wasn't for the enhances power. She used her power without knowing seeing glimpses of memories of him in the enhanced program building. "Arkus, please!" she said grasping onto his name hoping it would make him come to his senses.

Arkus frowned. The other two were acting as was to be expected but... How did that one know his name? It didn't necessarily make her a friend though, either she had researched a target or she remembered him from the facility. Or it had something to do with her power. Dropping the other two, Arkus lessened the force of his telekinetic grip and slowly pulled the girl that had said his name towards him, stopping her half a meter away. His golden eyes also seemed to appear clearly in the dark that had suddenly appeared, most likely an enhanced power of one of the three. Whilst it could have been useful on anyone else, Arkus didn't have too many weaknesses; he could still sense them within 10m of himself. Analysing the girl with narrowed eyes, the boy questioned her, "How do you know my name? Who are you?" He demanded. Screaming in fright and sarcasm were hardly ways to free yourself from your captor when they sought information, but the mentioning of his own name intrigued Arkus. If it was an enhanced power, then all their lives would about to be a lot easier concerning their escape from the government. Well, it meant less killing people for him anyway.

Caspian heard the smashing and screaming from where she was located, she hissed in annoyance before she grabbed her jacket and sword, ( @redbeans ) "Come on Anastase, let's see what Arkus has done now." She said annoyed before she moved towards the door, strapping her sword her her sighed as she pulled on her jacket as Anastase boarded the elevator with her. They went down the the 37th floor. When they arrived she saw the door flung open and she rushed to be behind ( @Destructus Kloud ) Arkus, "Arkus! Seriously." She said sighing as she walked up next to him before she looked at the girl he was holding in the air, "Maya..." She said looking at the other two, "Syfal... And Calypso, seems all the escapees are in the one hotel... Convenient much?" She asked before she laughed lightly before she gave a full on laugh, "Oh, wow... Were all so dead...." She said before she stopped laughing, wiping a tear from her eye before she tapped Arkus on the soulder, "So, you three, seems your in luck i got here before Mr. Mind Freak over here made you all into a paste, doubt it would happen, maybe, but not a paste none-theless," She said giving a small smile to all three of them before it disappearred, "Recommend you guys come with us, most likely the police will be called any minute now. That scream as well as the banging will tip them off." She said sighing lightly once more before she remembered her eyes were a dark crimson.

Arkus glared at Caspian for ruining his interrogation, promptly dropping the girl he still had in his telekinetic grasp to the floor, "One of these days someone's gonna mess you up real good and you'll regret ever getting in my way..." He muttered empty threats as he slumped over the side of a nearby armchair. Although the lights were still out the boy could still 'feel' the fridge that the other guy had spoken about earlier, floating an ice tea over and sipping it. He gave a placated smile as he enjoyed the refreshment, "So what if the police comes? Kill them all and escape into that subway you were talking about, simple. Hell, I could probably fly us part of the way." Arkus said, inputting his thoughts into the matter as the tension had seemed to have died down. Although Arkus still did his best the ruin that, "But I still don't trust any of you! Know that I'm watching you all..." His eyes fell on the smaller girl that had said his name, that familiar suspicious look befalling upon his face.

Syfal was glad when he was no longer forced onto the wall, but his body started to ache from it. He noticed that the room was still plunged into darkness, and used some of the energy from his necklace to light the place up. The light was dim, and it was hard to see the others. "Calypso, it's fine now." he told her, hoping that she would finally calm down.  "So... Arkus, you're an enhanced with telekenetic powers?" he asked, as he leaned his back against the wall. 


It was@ilky's character that plunged the place into darkness :P

Arkus leaned his head back off the side of the arm chair and stared up at the ceiling, "Yeah, the government's pride and joy- blah blah blah." He quickly sat up and eyeballed the other enhanced carefully, "And I'm the most powerful of all the Enhanced, don't be fooled otherwise." Arkus took another sip of the ice tea and leaned back down in the chair, "What about you misfits, got anything worth escaping with inside those bodies of yours?" The dim light coming from the guy was enough to subtly illuminate everyone's faces with a quiet glow. It had started raining outside and the sound of faraway sirens could be heard in the distance. The police were definitely on the way.

Maya was speechless. Her heart raced terrified of what was happening. Then suddenly she was dropped and a small light came on. She sat there for moment. The memories the scientist had were the closest Maya ever got to another enhanced and right now all she wanted was for them to go away. She then looked over at the other girl who had came in after Arkus. Again she read her mind unable to control herself. "Caspian..." Maya said finding her name in the memory. She then realized who she was, she had seen her in Dr. Sarin's memory once and it wasn't a pleasant one. Anxiety overwhelmed her and she couldn't take it any more. There were to many people in one room. She stood up and grabbed her monkey before running into the bathroom, locking the door.

Breathe, was the only thought clearly resonating through Calypso's disarrayed mind, as she thudded to the ground, gasping for air. Huddled against the wall, she hugged her arms around her legs, rocking back and forth. Her eyes switched between opening wide and shutting tight as she sought to calm her racing heart. The darkness in the room faded and strengthened erratically in accordance with her state of mind. There were movements and dialogues occurring in the fluctuating luminescence, and lack of it, but her frenzied mind failed to perceive the events and interactions happening in the room. 


Light. Suddenly there was light from the room's opposite end. It wasn't strong, but it was strong enough to be seen. Through the gloom, she found the soft glow radiating from Syfal's amulet. Transfixed by the object, it now held her gaze as she focused on its thin glimmer, instilling in her a growing sense of peace, as well as newfound curiosity. Its delicate carving expressed a deft elegance that could only have been possible by the hands of a highly skilled artisan. Even more than that, she wondered how, and why, that beautiful item came to be in his possession. 


Eventually, the darkness receded entirely, to reveal Maya fleeing to the bathroom, whose door shut with a click from the locking mechanism. Syfal, and his amulet, sat casually across the room from her. Arkus was speaking to the others, seated in the armchair that Maya had occupied prior to the intrusion, and Caspian stood by him. Calypso continued staring at Syfal's amulet, yearning for an escape from this chaos.

Caspian sighed lightly when she heard the door slam as she walked over to Arkus, "Simple. We kill them, we lower are chances of survival. There already slim enough as it currently is." She said before she looked at the clock on the wall her eyes widening, "No..." She said before she looked outside the window, large spires of light shooting into the air before disappearring. She opened the window and looked down into the street, people looked at the light before suddenly dropping to the ground as she quickly ran back inside and turned on the TV, the news crew on with a gun towards his head, "This... Is a message... from the government... Enhanced... You are all targets from now until you are either captured or killed... the population of New York was 8.406 million.. it is currently 1.213 million... 86% of the population culled... you are hereby ordered by the goverment to reign free. Survival is the only order. That is all..." He said before he turned to look at the person before the gun sounded out the feed being cut. As Caspian stood their with a blank expression she smirked, "5234, great to see he has his killing demeaner about him still. The goverment is on the island. We need to go to my floor now." She said quickly with a dark look about her before she moved towards the bathroom, pulling her sword and cutting the door down, "Maya, i am terribly sorry and i know you need your space to stop seeing our memories, but unless you come with us you'll have to read 5234's mind and some Doctors... You don't want that do you?" She said quickly but in a scared tone before she moved over to Maya, geting down on one knee as she stood eye to eye to her before she looked at Arkus, "Arkus! Get them to the floor. You know the bloody code." She said before she turned back to Maya, her face softening from the dark one she had before.

Sarin & 5234

Sarin smirked as he watched the lights go off into the sky as they were on a boat, looking over at Mr. Barnes, before looking back at 5234, "First stop, the news station." He said before they walked towards a small helicopter, 5234 changing into his animalictis form as even more helicopters flew in over head. Within a short while 5234 was at the station, being handed a gun as he walked over to the man holding the script, people laying dead on the ground with bullet holes in their heads before he stood next to the man. Holding the gun to his head as he spoke before he finished shortly after, turning to face him with a distressed look before he shot him. The feed cutting as another man shot it, "Alright! Are orders are to kill anyone and i mean anyone that we see unless they are are own. Understood!?" The man seeming to be in charge said yelling out before everyone chimed, "Yes sir" except for 5234 as he handed teh officer in charge their gun back, giving a curt nod before they moved out of the station, 5234 looking back at his mess before he followed behind the other.

I am so sorry to everyone for waiting for me to get on and type up the plot more, i am still having issues which MidnightStar and Destructus know about but if i am not on i am either being a sad sop or just being a plain old forgetful person, i am so very very sorry about all these problems i have continued causing to people.

Arkus glanced out the window in surprise as the lights surged up into the misty sky, signalling a very concerning turn of events. His eyesbrows even took the liberty of raising themselves to visibly display his shock, "Oh. Well that was more than I was expecting." Arkus commented plainly, having swivelled his head to now look at the tv. His expression now darkened and he bared his teeth in anger. His hands gripped the sides of the chair tightly as he sat in it properly for once, "They think they can do whatever they want! Try think they're better than us! Than me!" Suddenly the tv crumpled inwards into a tight metallic ball before being violently tossed out of the nearby glass pane that acted as a door to a balcony. The crushed tv smashed through the glass and fell to the streets below and a chilling wind now whipped around everyone in the room. Massaging his temples, Arkus turned the volume on his headphones up in an attempt to calm himself down. He looked up at Caspian and snorted when she told them to go, "Pffffft... Don't tell me what to do. Besides, I don't need a code to unlock a door." Arkus smirked and raised a hand, that dangerous golden glow enveloping it again in an obvious warning. But still he got up and made his way to the partially broken door, "Come on then, freaks! We have a vampire cave to get to." And with that he made his way to Caspian's place.

Maya jumped when Caspian came in, cutting the door down. She yelped but calmed down a little when it was just Caspian. For a while she just ponders Caspian's words not sure what to do. She then nods and stands, heading back into the room. The others were already heading out when she saw her notebook laying on the floor. She quickly ran over picked it up and went back over to Caspian. She grabbed on to the girls shirt afraid she would get lost.

As she once again heard Arkus mention the word "Vampire" she gave a low scowl directed at him before she stood and walked out with Maya before she rushed over and back to her, pulling on her shirt as she gave a light sigh before giving a small chuckle. Picking Maya up as she moved out of the room as she looked over at Arkus, "A month in Iraq pretending to be an orphanage owner allows you to learn more about kids. Nothing more nothing less, so don't say anything." She said giving a dark shade look over at Arkus before she lightly smiled at Maya. She looked at the other before she entered the elevator waiting for them to join her in the elevator.

((sorry i'm sick and quite busy lately, i'll just get Syfal to follow everyone around and not say anything))
 
Caralee slammed her hands down on the top of a hot dog stand, leaning over it to glare at the man on the other side. She was starving. She couldn't remember the last time the scientists remembered to feed her and it had been much, much longer since she last had something solid. The last time the scientists had uncovered her mouth to let her eat, they had learned the hard way not to do it ever again. She simply wanted a hot dog with mustard and whatever that green stuff in the jar was, but the man in front of her refused to give her anything unless she gave him money. Finding money hadn't exactly been her greatest worry when she was breaking out of the facility. She was more than a little tempted to scream at him until his ears bled and his organs ruptured and take the food for herself, but she was already attracting enough attention as it was. Caralee had found a jacket near the entrance on her way out, but she was still dressed like a test subject. Without whoever had come and freed them all, she would still be tied up in the cell. If whoever it was expected her to repay them, they should find someone else. 





 





"You know what? I think I'll just take the whole stand." She inhaled deeply and was a second away from screaming loud enough to kill anyone in hearing range when his eyes widened at something behind her and he suddenly fell over. Caralee blinked a few times. Then she heard more loud thuds behind her and turned around to see that everyone around her had gone down too. She backed away from the stand and quickly looked around, her fists clenching as she waited for the guards or whoever they were sending after her to attack. Who else could've done this? She whirled around when she heard a loud sound, and one of the monitors on a building flickered and a news report came on. Caralee only rolled her eyes at it and turned away. "Yeah, whatever," She muttered, stepping over bodies as she walked away. "Is this supposed to scare me? Kill everyone in New York for all I care." She only stopped once she was in front of a hotel, tilting her head back to stare at the top floor. "Wonder if anyone's alive to stop me if I tried to get a room."

Syfal stared at the TV but shrugged it off. Everyone he knew was already dead, and there were too many people in NYC anyway. He silently stood up and walked towards Caspian, into the elevator. "I'll change this music someday..." He whispered to himself, determined to do what he said. He gave a half-smile to the others, and stood at the corner of the lift. "So, what now?" He asked the others.
