Caspian gave a light sigh as she turned to look at them, "I'm hungry," Arkus said as she looked at him with a blank stare, "I'll call room service then, what do you want exactly?" She asked as she walked over to a phone and pulled it up, placing it next to her head as she put the phone to her ear, "Room service on floor 34." She said quickly into the phone as she hung up, "Whatever they bring you're going to have to deal with it." She said in a dull tone as she walked down the small hallway entering the first room on her left, opening a draw and pulling out a red vile, it slushed around as a couple more rolled around in the draw. Her eyes had become a dark red as she walked out of the room, locking it with a key as she walked back to the other, popping the cork out fo the viel and skulling the blood, a small bit remaining on the left side of her mouth as the dark red stayed in her eyes as she moved over to the small couches surrounded by computer farms with a small coffee table sitting in front of her as she closed her eyes letting her head loll back, "It'll be night soon. The government was going to destroy this city but, hopefully they make it in time." She said as she opened her eyes again, looking out the glass into the city.

Sarin smirked lightly before alarms blared oce more a the camers switched back to the devices, destroyed in flames as some people stood around in tattered clothing with masks as they ran away from the scene, "Caspian... You bitch..." He said in a low tone before he smashed his hands on the desk face flat, "Make sure they are up within 24 hours or you'll all be the next program we experiment on!" He yelled otu as people scurried around, the place lighting up so to speak as people yeled and papers were passed along.

Arkus shrugged indifferently, "So long as it's solid food and doesn't taste like crap. My meals always came in a tube because they didn't trust me enough not to bite my own tongue off and die. At least now I have the option if I wanted." The boy allowed himself to recline on one of the seats, also taking the time to let his neck slacken as his head fell against the back of the backrest. He closed his eyes as if he were tired or contemplating something, both of which he wasn't, "So what's the plan? The Government will probably cut the area off, kill everyone to remove witnesses and any impedance in their operation. If you've got all this fancy support lying about, does that mean you're already doing something-" Arkus involuntarily glanced at the door, speaking impulsively, "Oh, they're here." A second later a knock at the door was heard with the call 'room service' coming from the other side. Arkus waved his hand in the doors general direction and it opened, allowing a surprised maid to enter with a tray of assorted foods. Picking up a bowl of mango slices, Arkus nodded appreciatively, "Didn't take long. Better than the guys at the facility." He said, eating a few of the mango bits slowly.

Caspian stood with a groan and mvoed to the room service lady, "Magentes Drokones." She said giving a curt nod as the woman nodded back, "If you could, bring some food like fish? Or chicken?" She said with a small smile as the woman gave a small chuckle before nodding, leaving to go back into the Elevator, Caspian losing her smile and going back to the blank expression, closing the door, "She'll be back with better food, i'm going to get some better clothes on." She said giving a small sigh before unlocking the door and moving into the room, closing and locking it once more.
 
The warmth from the imaginary sunrise quickly dissolved from Calypso's mind as she snapped out of her daydream. Now she only perceived the cold from the chilly morning air, and the icy atmosphere emanating from the enhanced trio exiting the alleyway. Her still figure in the furthest corner of the neighbouring rooftop remained unnoticed. Unlike the "eyepatch girl", Caspian, who kept letting out soft sighs, Calypso stayed silent, completely unheard. Even the "fox boy", Anastase, wouldn't have picked up her scent, since she had shut her pores the moment she left her cell at the facility. 


The escape, though now appreciated, was at the time an unwelcome interruption. Calypso had been deep asleep in her cell, fatigued from the day's tedious experiments, and cherishing her time to dream. However, the piercing sirens gradually pervaded her slumber, her sweet imaginary birdsong warping into shrill wails. When she finally awoke in frustration, the chaos, in stark contrast to the tranquil garden she'd been envisioning, had terrified her. Her groggy mind took a few more seconds to notice the open cell door, but the sight of it immediately piqued her excitement and curiosity. The door had never been left open and unguarded at the same time, and she had never ventured beyond the looming corridor leading directly to the laboratories and experimenting rooms. Awake and alert, she quickly made herself invisible, and quietly left the facility amidst the noise and confusion. 


Observing and eavesdropping on the three enhanced she had shadowed to the rooftop, Calypso noted to herself that "Mr Mind Freak", Arkus' telekinetic powers seemed restricted to a certain distance. He hadn't given any indication that he had noticed her, so she kept her distance, remaining invisible in the shadows.


The boy with the light amulet and the girl with the monkey were the first to seek refuge at the hotel: the former somewhat aimlessly, in awe of the building's grandeur; and the latter in fright. However, this trio, led by the sighing girl, entered with an air of absolute assurance, as if it had always been her destination. Calypso recognised them all, despite only having seen them occasionally in the facility. Her eyes stalked them as they pushed past the door into the luxurious lobby, leaving her to ponder what she would do now. 


"Fox boy was quite wary of Mr mind freak and eyepatch girl...", she muttered to herself, remembering their interactions and nicknames from before, "But he still followed them..." 


She lifted her gaze to the sky, staring at the clouds to think for several minutes. Anyone watching would have thought she was simply daydreaming, or cloud-watching. 


Then suddenly but gracefully, she leapt to her feet from her sitting position, and began making her way to the hotel entrance like the others before her. Guess I'll follow them too, hopefully there'll be safety in numbers, she thought, I'll also need rest to keep using my powers...

As soon as the door open Maya ran inside and just the door. She looked up at the boy that let him in and gave him a small smile. She opened up her notebook and wrote something inside then handed it to him.


Sorry for barging in. A weird man tried to grab me on the elevator. I'm sorry if I'm intruding, but by any chance are you a enhanced?

Syfal was confused when the girl wrote on the notebook instead of speaking directly. Maybe she's mute? He dismissed his thoughts, remembering that he still had to read the note. "An enhanced?"  He asked, trying to stall time and think, not knowing if he should keep his identity a secret. But then again, she does know at least something about the enhanced, what do i lose for telling her? He returned his gaze back to her. "Yes, i am. And you are?" Syfal asked her again straightforwardly.

Maya smile and nods. She snatched the notebook back from him and begins to write in it. If he was an enhanced they should stick together, however she wasn't sure if the older boy would agree. She again writes something down really quickly, her hand writing was very gorgeous and completely legible.


My name is Maya.  I wouldn't be surprised if it don't recognize. Dr. Barnes kept me away from other enhances so I've never meet anyone like me before, he does like to talk about me a lot though. I don't know if you want to but maybe we should stay together. At least until we find some other enhanced, but if I am bothering you I'll leave.




She hands him back the notebook and begins to rock on her heels waiting for an answer.

Dr. Barnes frowned when he heard Dr. Sarin get upset. "So how long until we put the plan in action. I hate having my jewel being out there with those other enhances. The might fill her with thought of rebellion and fighting back." He sighs. "But if I have to wait... I will" he says annoyed. 
 
Syfal looked at the note that was written and shortly thought to himself. Two heads are better than one. He shrugged, then replied "Yeah, i was kept seperate from the other Enhanced too, but i don't mind if we stick together for now." After Syfal responded, his stomach started to growl. He had not drank or ate the whole day, and only now realised that. "You must be hungry too, right? Let's get something to eat. Theres a bread stall on the ground floor, we can probably get something there." Syfal told Maya kindly, and gave her a slight smile. 


Syfal locked the room door, and passed Maya an extra key. He then took the lift down, annoyed at listening to the same song from before. After what felt like an eternity of bad music, the lift door finally opened on the ground floor. He casually walked to the bread stall, his left hand tucked in his pocket, and ignored the glances of high classed citizens wondering why a teenager was in this hotel

Anastase sighed, cautiously taking a small helping of food for himself. This food was exceptionally rich, and he knew that if he ate too much, too quickly, he would get nauseous. The food he had been fed at the lab was foul, as well as meager. Anastase chewed slowly as he mulled over his thoughts.


He glanced at Caspian. Right, what was she going to eat? Were they going to go raid a blood bank?

Maya followed the older boy still not catching his name. By accident he read his mind but only enough to figure out his name. Syfal, a very unique name. She followed him now noticing how hungry she was. She kept he notebook, stuffed monkey, and key tight against her. When the got to the lobby she got a strange sense of something. The strange sense she got from the Syfal when she first met him. She looked over by the entrance and saw a girl at the entrance. The girl looked and felt vaguely familiar. She couldn't help it when she looked at the girls memories. Calypso was her name and she was enhanced as well. She quickly tugged on Syfal shirt and wrote something in her notebook.


See that girl. She's an enhanced like us. Don't ask how I know, I'll tell you later. We should help her.


She pointed toward the girl hoping he would agree.

Syfal took a quick glance at the girl Maya had pointed at. The girl was examining the hotel, and didn't look like she belonged here. "But the stall is right there..." he groaned, as he looked at the stall beside him. He then sighed, and walked towards the unamed girl - the complete opposite way of the stall. He approached the girl, and stopped when he was a meter in front of her. Both of his hands are hidden by his pockets, and he looked down to meet her gaze. His head was slightly tilted, and he spoke in a neutral tone. "So you're enhanced too?" He asked, soft enough so that the people nearby would not hear him. While waiting for a response, he examined the girl. Mysterious was his only impression of her.

She had already caught a deep whiff some distance from the hotel's entrance. 


"Mm… What is that?" Calypso whispered upon entering the building, turning her head towards the delicious aroma wafting through the air. The smell was unfamiliar to her, who only knew the tasteless food of the facility. She inhaled once more, trying to conjure images associated with the strange fragrance. Yet she could not, for her life had hardly contained experiences as pleasant as the emotions now stirred up within her.


Swiftly locating the source of this wonderful scent, she sighted the bustling bakery from across the lobby. Within its display were rows upon rows of trays filled with crisp, buttery croissants, dainty Danish pastries, fresh loaves of bread, and decadent dessert tarts. As much as her sweet tooth craved for those delectable goodies, she had no means of doing so. Aside from not having any cash on her, Calypso knew better than to turn invisible for the sake of stealing a treat. Drawing attention from the throngs of people surrounding her would have been a stupid thing to do. At this point, maintaining a low profile was still of utmost priority.


To avoid obstructing the entrance, she stood off to the side, keeping her head and eyes down. Her eyes trailed along the gleaming marble floor, perfectly reflecting the entire room, including the opposite end of the lobby, where the elevators were… as well as the two Enhanced stepping out from the middle car.


Light boy and monkey girl, Calypso startled. She hadn't thought that they'd meet up so quickly. But now was not the time to think of past events. Should she approach them? Or would they approach her?


Ever the slow reactor, she remained in her place, looking around, still trying to form a solution in mind. Meanwhile, light boy had already begun walking towards her, and had already posed a question! She couldn't hide now.


Calypso searched his expression for a moment, then nodded in response. It seemed he had no intention of harming her, so now it must be her turn to say something.


"Got room for one more?", she gestured past him towards monkey girl.

"I'm just gonna assume you're enhanced. And yeah, feel free to join us. The more the merrier I guess..." he told Calypso, shrugging while turning to head back to the bakery. Syfal didn't know what he was meant to be doing at this point. If escaping from the government just meant making friends every now and then in a rich hotel, he doesn't mind. Once Syfal was standing at the door of the bakery, he cheered up a bit. "Finally." He whispered to himself, glad to be getting some food soon. Before walking in, he opened the stolen wallet and handed Maya and Calypso a $50 note. "Knock yourself out." he told them, and gave them a small smile before he entered the bakery.


Once inside, Syfal was unable to further contain his hunger as he quickly paid for a sausage bun, before he took big bites off it. The bun tasted much better than the stale bread and butter that the government would offer him, but the sausage. He would have cried tasting it if others weren't watching. Once he was finished, he quickly retained his calm and cool demeanour, and waited for the others to finish.

"Thanks." Calypso cheerfully replied, the fifty dollar note tightly grasped within her hand while eyeing the myriad sumptuous-looking pastries. She meant to ask for his name as well, but he'd already rushed off to buy some himself.


Oh well, I'll ask later.


Still basking in the heavenly bakery air, now stronger than before, she purchased a roasted vegetable quiche and a berry tart, then walked over to monkey girl and handed her the remaining forty-five dollars' worth of change. Just as cheerfully as before, she asked the girl, "What have you chosen?" She nibbled on her quiche, and awaited her companion's response. 


All of a sudden, the girl and boy's immediate acknowledgement of Calypso's presence in the lobby before, only now occurred to her.


Perhaps they've seen me around the facility as well?


She stopped eating, staring instead at the girl with a wide-eyed curious expression.


Monkey girl was the first to notice me...


Head cocked to one side, Calypso's mind now worked to guess what this Enhanced's abilities were — probably something like Mr mind freak's? 


Quickly foregoing her previous question, she simultaneously wondered aloud while blurting out another to the girl, "So what do you do?" 


Now it was the other girl's turn to be wide-eyed. Her head swivelled towards Calypso, who then realised that the tone of her question may have been somewhat confronting.


Ah, I didn't mean to be rude! Now's not the right time to ask that sort of question. Don't be an idiot.


She looked at the monkey in the girl's arms, smiling sheepishly as she commented, "Also, your monkey's really cute."

Maya took the forty-five dollars from Calypso. She could only blush when she asked her what power she had. Quickly afterwards she told he Maya that her monkey was cute which made her smile. She opened her notebook and quickly wrote something inside. She handed the notebook to her and quickly headed over to the cart to get some food.


I will tell you later. It isn't safe to talk openly about are powers here. Let me go grab some food and then we can head back to the room.


Maya looked in aw at the assortment of goods. She picked out a bag of chips and a bag with chocolate chip cookies. Once she finished paying she ran over to Syfal and handed him the change afraid she might loose it. She then walked back over to Calypso and took her notebook back waiting for the two new friends.

The elevator ride was silent on the way up. The issue on their minds was much too important, much too confidential too discuss within the monitored car, whose camera was immediately noted. Monkey girl and Calypso continued munching away. Light boy leaned his side against the mirrored wall neighbouring the panel of buttons, angling his head to stare at the reflection of his amulet. 


She remembered that she had meant to ask for their names, though perhaps she'd leave that question for when they reached the room as well...

Caspian sighed lightly before she looked at the time, her eyes widening, "Jesus, it's already 8:30 PM.... Christ time goes fast..." She said this before giving a light sigh before she changed her clothes, a short sleved black shirt with with dark blue long jeans. She unlocked the door to her room and exited it, moving back over to a small dining table where the fruit and vegetables where set down. She eyed it before she sighed moving over to the couches, "It's currently 8:30, the government if they where going to make a move they are going to do it now." She said looking out the window.

Sarin smirked lightly when someone handed him a clip board, "8.406 million people... Make the elimination rate 95% leaving 1.203 million alive on this island. Get a broadcast set up as well. Seems the Government wants to speak." He said with a sly smirk before he handed the clipboard back to the person, them noding before they went back to their console. 5234 cocked an eye-brow as Sarin noticed, "What is it?" He asked before 5234 became stone cold face again, "Nothing sir. I was simply thinking that leaving them alive will cause more problems than good." He said with a blank expression, eyes forward and unmoving. Sarin sighed lightly before he patted his back. He looked at Mr. Barnes with a sigh, "The field is up. currently 8:30 PM. Mark execution at 8:35 on my mark.... Mark..." He said as a countdown began for five minutes.

Anastase studied Caspian's movements for a moment before looking away. He had long since decided that he was full, although Arkus, sitting nearby him, was still eating.


"Well, what can we do about that?" Anastase asked quietly, although it was more of a statement than a question. The government was undeniably going to go after them, there was no if or how. It was a question of when and where. 


He played with the hem of his ragged shirt. Anastase felt energetic, in the way he always did when he was getting ready to kill. However, he knew that he couldn't be too reckless this time around, because this was for real. Caspian was looking outside the window, and Anastase could sense that she was feeling a bit tired, or maybe just annoyed, at something. He took a peek out of the window, only to see pitch dark from nightfall.

Caspian stayed still staring out the window, her eyes still a dark crimson red before she heard Anastase's question, "We wait. We wait and see what they are doing. They've set up a field around NYC. They even destroyed the bridges and made this a no-fly zone as well as blocking all boats in and out. So they've blocked all escape routes, all but one." She said before she stood up again, moving over to a computer and pulling out a map, placing it down on the table, "The Subway system. They go for about a mile in every direction into the city. They are most likely guarded... But, we wait, until we know why they set up a field around New York..." She said ending it with a sigh before moving back to the window, looking out it but not sitting down, she had a stone cold face before her stomach grumbled a light hue sitting on her cheeks, turning around and walking into her room once more, pulling out a red vile and sculling i quickly befor eshe put the empty one in the draw.

The lift arrived on his level. Syfal didn't even care about the music that time, And just pondered on his future plans. He walked towards his room and unlocked it with the key, before he sat down on the bed, and leaned on the wall. "Make yourself at home, i'm Syfal and she's Maya" He told Calypso with a smile, and gestured to Maya.

"A field, huh? So they're finally using it. And there I was thinking they were bluffing. Ha. I-" Arkus froze and stiffened, immediately looking towards the doorway, "Someone just walked by our door. Enhanced." He then quickly glanced at Caspian, "The Government?" It was entirely posssible, just now a group of Enhanced had just barely entered his field of influence, allowing him to feel their presence and their energy. They definitely weren't human and there was two... Three of them so far. Arkus finished off the mango, "Want me to follow them?" He suggested, placing the bowl down on the nearby table. They were supposed to be finding and joining up with other enhanced, so this could be their chance, but if they were government people then Arkus could just kill them and eliminate all risk. Win win.

Sarin walked towards 5234 and handed a remote to him. Sarin walked up to 5234's ears and whispered "You have control, launch the attack when you are ready. This remote activates the field." he told him, and gestured at the remote. He then stepped backwards, and rested both of his hands behind his back, grinning.
