lip tomasi was born to frances tomasi and jared mccolum when they were only at the ripe age of eighteen and nineteen. frances hadn't had lip planned, and by no means was she capable at the time to be a mother. neither was jared capable of being a good dad, so when lip was around four, he said he would go out to buy some cigarettes and never come back, leaving the responsibility of looking after lip to frances.

despite lip going hungry for some nights, and the slight emotional neglect. frances did a damn good job at raising her son. sure he'd drunken alcohol for the first time at twelve,and almost overdosed on paracetamol when he was fourteen, but by no means was he anything like his father.

lip had barely gotten through the screen door to him and his mother's trailer when she said he'd be going to roan academy. he wasn't sure he'd get in so he hadn't exactly mentally prepared himself for leaving behind his friends and home. all he hopes is that his other peers aren't too annoying.
