Lilac walked along the stone sidewalk, her backpack hanging loosely from her left shoulder. A bright smile was spread across her face, it was the first day of school, one of her favorite days of the year. The excitement of getting to meet new people and being reconnected with old friends clouded her mind. Her white Converse still reeked of new shoe smell from just buying them a few days ago. Confidence shown from her bright, blemish-free skin, her bellowing hair a new orange color. Every year she dyes her hair another strange color, last year was pink, this year was a bright orange. Lilac looked around eagerly, ready to meet some people despite the fact she hadn't even stepped into school yet.

Lilac smiled at Anna-Grace, "Hi!" She giggled softly and played with her hair, twirling it absentmindedly. "My name is Lilac. What's yours?" She asked in a bubbly voice, a wide smile spread across glossy lips.

Alina sat not too far from the two girls just meeting, she glanced up from her book "Murder at midnight," alittle to scared to approach anyone.

"I'm so excited to finally meet new people. I was stuck in my house all summer cause my old friends had huge summer vacations planned." Lilac groaned and shook her head, hair flying in all directions due to the thick extensions. "But, nice to meet you Anna." She said, finally calming down a bit. She looked up from Anna-Grace and waved Alina, the smile on her face getting brighter.

Alina blinked and her face got red.


"Oh uh, hi there" She waved to the two girls.


"H-how are you?" she asked.

"Hi there!" Lilac sang and nodded, "I'm great! What's your name, dear?" She asked and giggled. "Are you shy?" She pressed and laughed a bit harder. "How cute, your cheeks are all red." Lilac whispered and balanced her weight on foot to foot. Her floral print skirt hiking up a tad from the winds that cooled down the heat of post summer.

"Alina, m name is Alina." She spoke putting down her book, trying to cool her red cheeks.

"Ah, don't apologize. But correct, my name is Lilac." She giggled, locks of orange-gold hair fell over her eyes from the parts she failed to spray with hair spray. Pushing them back she peered down at the book, "What are you reading?" She asked, interest replacing the peppy tone of voice. "The cover seems quite nice, is it interesting?" She asked gently tried to take the book away from Alina's face.

Ella sits at the bench, eyeing the four girls. She sets down her book, 'Wonder'. She stares at the giggly one. How the hell can someone be so happy? She questioned.

"its okay, its just for class thought..." she admitted tucking one of her hairs behind her ear.

You seem to be interested in the book, would you recommend it?" She asked, her voice practically the definition of cheerful and excited, though there was nothing to be excited about. "I don't suppose we have any classes together, you look like you're in the last year. I'm a junior" She explained, shrugging her shoulders. She looked up from Alina's book and smiled at Ella, ignoring the some what confused, almost wondrous look.
