Maiden of the Gloam
17th Cycle, 3rd Day of 3rd Moon, 736 Moonless
Quan'tana denies me for the third year in a row. I should have known better than to ask of the Sarghress. They renounced Sharess so long ago. Though I expect little, I will return next year as well. Perhaps she will have changed her mind.
12th Cycle, 29th Day of 7th Moon, 820 Moonless
The recent unrest in Chel has not stopped yet another clan from emerging. The Nal'Sarkoth. I've arranged a meeting with their Illharess later this day. Quain'tana has failed me for a century. It is past time to move on. I must remain cautious in my ways with her. Merchant clans are rarely trustworthy.
21st Cycle, 29th Day of the 7th Moon, 820 Moonless
The impudent little bitch tried to kill me! She was worse than the Kyorl's about it, and I'm tainted! Chased me half across the next district.
1st Cycle, 17th Day of the 13th Moon, 913 Moonless
Three centuries . . . Three long centuries. Nothing has changed. I have fled to the surface and lived with the Halmes. They were mistrustful at first, but in less then a decade I've managed to convince them I'm here to help. They're much more cooperative than the damnable 'lath below. But I do not wish to remain here much longer. The lack of mana is starting to take its toll. I can feel my body aging . . . It's unsettling. I will return at the beginning of the next year. Maybe Chel will have changed by then.
19th Cycle, 8th Day of the 1st Moon, 914 Moonless
It hasn't.
6th Cycle, 2nd Day of the 7th Moon, 983 Moonless
The Jaal have finally found their place amongst the great clans. Perhaps Chel and its inhabitants are finally beginning to understand the importance of progress. I will speak with the Jaal in the coming Moons. They are clearly more open minded then the rest of Chel, or most of it anyways.
1084 Moonless
I don't care anymore. What is wrong with these people? You fight to keep the demons out. They still get in, but you kick them out. Next step? Purging? Marches? Executions? No, no, no . . . Let's finally fill the gap of power the Dutan'vir left . . . With the one thing we hate most. Demons.
*No date written*
These mother-killing Chelians . . . The audacity . . . The hypocrisy! The GALL! Demons are our enemies. Smite the demons. Destroy the demons. Centuries I have listened to these same words repeated. These same words thrown in my face, yet here, within the heart of Chel, one of the great clans has begun tainting. Not even offering, it's mandatory! The Sharen act like they herald the new ways, yet they forget they walk in their predecessors tracks. Zala will be getting a visit. Soon.
1086 Moonless
This comes as no surprise, but even the newly formed Vloz don't understand. It should be no surprise with that wench Sene'kha at the helm . . . I need someone to replace her. Even if they have no interest in seeing Sharess returned to her former glory, the lure of the netherworlds will undoubtedly lead them to aid me.
1088
I have been wondering for some time now. After all I have done, all I have seen, experienced, why these drow looked at me as if they were 'ssu. I finally understand. I should have seen it a long time ago. I guess my years have gotten something of the better of me. The drow race only understands one thing. Power. For each clan, this means something different, but in the end, it's all the same. The Sargh's and their legions, the Vloz and their demons, the Sharen and their lineage, the Nal'Sarkoth and their riches . . . All power, simply by different means. If I am to appeal to them, I must show them MY power.
So let it be known! In the 23rd Cycle of the 4th day of the 9th Moon, 1088 Moonless, the birth of the Synathul Clan!
We will have our foot hold soon. The dirty Black Suns will flee before the might of my clan, and with that, our first step to bringing the grace of Sharess back to this world will be achieved. Their will be but one clan remaining with Sharess at my side.
