Background:
The heir to a patrician family whose father was also in the senate, Flavius was groomed from a young age to continue the political dynasty and continue to grow the family's holdings. Flavius' family made its fortune via naval trade and shipping, and particularly profited during the recent wars. Flavius and his father were in effect de facto military officers during the time as their ships and guards were a key part of the young Republic's fledgling navy and merchant marines. Their service during the war in effect cemented their place in the new Senate.
Personality:
Flavius is a young and ambitious senator who cares little for tradition and pleasantries. His meteoric rise into the Republic's government has made some raise their eyebrows in amazement, but he likely also draws some jealousy and resentment among others who believe in seniority, experience, and tradition. Yet, despite his lack of consideration for tradition, Flavius is a man of the law and understands that it is order and law that separates the civilized from the barbarians.

Financial/Business Administration

Background: A wheat collector and one of the many internal spies that the Republic sustains, she accepted the job years ago in exchange of a small amount of extra coins for her day job. Having heard stories of the war, helping the new Senate sounded like a chance if a lifetime. With time, though, staying up until late hours to listen to the noises outside and learning to blend in with the chit-chatters became more and more of a hobby rather than a job. It's not to say she's proud of it; But it can be incredibly amusing being the one holding all the cards, and leave people wondering how their secrets slipped out...
Personality: Her curiosity may be thought of as her being aloof; but she puts great thought on her interactions with others. Thinks everyone has a history, and most people lie about it, which is the way their personality shows. She's constantly moving from place to place; Having seen so many nasty sides of "nice" people while eaveadropping, anything apart from weekly meetings to collect the harvest can get overwhelming fast. She does, though, love her horse Vita to death.
Skills:
Proficient on animal handling.
Observant, doesn't attract much attention.
Can talk about any topic for hours, and gains other's trust relatively easily.
Has technical knowledge on how to use a dagger, but never had to before.
Background: Maximillian Flavian Cordova belongs to the noble family of Cordovas that helped found this great empire. With family members throughout various sections of the government, one would think that Maximillian only got the job due to nepotism and while the nepotism is what gained his position as a general in the first place, his actions as a brilliant tactician and front line warrior were what truly earned him his stripes. He trained since a young age to be part of the military, where most of his family preferred being members of the state, he was a man of action and not words. He has won countless battlefield encounters and his loses were truly only setbacks where he came back stronger with a new plan of action that the enemy was not expecting. His battlefield expertise comes from wide use of scouts, spies and knowledge of the terrain along with enemy numbers, equipment and temperament before he even gets into a fight. He will continue to serve the Empire as best as he can against all enemies, without and within.
Personality: General Cordova when on the battlefield and off the battlefield is almost like two completely different people. ON the battlefield he is a stern commander who expects his orders to be followed to a tee, though he will accept new information and tactics if it enlightens him to information that he did not know that alters his understanding of the battlefield encounter itself. Off the battlefield, he is jovial and kind to the people around him, whether it is an average citizen or the soldiers under his command.
Skills: Battlefield Tactics
Extreme proficiency with Gladius and Shield
Proficient with martial weapons
Inspiring Speeches
Proficient with horseriding
Background:
Martius was born into the Valens tribe, a patrician family who could trace their roots back to the original farmers who had settled amongst the Aelorinae hills which would many generations later become the Capitol. Despite their prestige the family had fallen on somewhat hard times, their economic fortunes having dwindled through successive weak and feeble heads of the family, fritters away on failed political campaigns or more mundane affairs. The coming of Martius to the head of the family arrested the decline and in fact brought about a complete reversal in their fortunes. His early career saw his appointment as a military Tribune, a junior position and mostly taken up by young men to prepare them for a later senatorial career, as well as to watch and learn from the more senior Legate who was in command of the legion. Given the fact that there were 12 Tribunes in a legion, few would actually go on to command their own legion, settling for a civic career instead. Instead Martius found his calling, a voracious student he devoured military textbooks and tomes, tactics, logistics, equipment manuals, whatever he could lay his hand on to expand his knowledge. As such when his term of service came to an end, he immediately reapplied for a commission, taking the role as commander of the cavalry of the 3rd Legion, a task he performed with to a high level, becoming a popular commander.
It was not until his late 30s however that he rose to prominence in the public eye. He was a centrepiece in the war that saw the creation of the Aerolinae Republic, one of the central figures in the defeat of the Berusciaen. As the war came to an end there was some fear as to what Martius' next novel was going to be, with a loyal army under his command there was a genuine fear that he may have marched south and crushed the fledgling Senate, starting a new civil war. However this was not to be, he stepped down from his command, stating that he had done his duty, and with peace he would be stepping down from his commission. He has since retired to his estates just outside the Capitol, often visited by aspirant senators and generals, eager to gain the man's blessing or show of support, for now he had done nothing of the sort, happy in his own semi retirement. If he was to rouse himself back to taking public office however, this could have ramifications, especially as he has yet to voice his stance or loyalty since stepping back from public duty
Personality:
Now middle aged, Martius has lost some of the fire of youth, far more level headed and patient, a trademark of both his personality and his military tactics, loathe to rush into a situation without thorough analysis and preparation.
Publicly he is generous and open, lavishing gifts upon the people in order to maintain his prestige as one of the Generals who had a role in creating their new state, mainly through sponsoring games, works of public art, and supplying bread and grain to the needy.
Lean and tanned bronze from his years serving in the military, he cuts an impressive figure, combined with his easy going manner with the commoners and natural skill as an orator, he is a popular man, but one viewed by Senators with some suspicion.
Skills:
Public Orator
Military tactician
Passable warrior, but by no means skilled or great
