King of Nerdz
This roleplay is about like super wealthy and uniquely styled teenagers who are all tight with each other, but go through both great times and major drama with each other at times. This is just one of the main locations I have created. Pm me if you have any ideas or suggestions on another one.

This roleplay is sorta-kinda setup like a reality tv series, but the roleplay style is the same as any other rp. So no worries!!!

(Btw, this is city two of the series so far! Check out city one, Los Angeles right here--- http://www.rpnation.com/threads/rich-kids-los-angeles-choose-this-one.59586/#post-1821381--- for more info!)

Dallas

Dallas laid back in his comfy-chair and browsed his emails on Yahoo! Mail. It was summertime in the Big Apple and that only meant that the tourist wave would be higher than any other time of year. As he searched through his emails, he saw one that said,"Rich Kids of New York".
"Huh, this looks pretty interesting...". He clicked on it and surprisingly saw his name shoot to #3.

"What? No, no see this can't be right. I thought I was the richest teen in town. Or so I thought wrong...".

The #1 spot went to Valerie Kensington, a rich girl who oddly, but not too surprisingly, lived in the same neighborhood as him. In fact, the address seemed strangely very familiar. It was... the mega-mansion, that was somewhat interior designed like his mansion, next door. He knew he saw somebody moving in a few weeks ago.

The #2 spot went to Skylar Summers, better known as just Skye to most people. She was pretty hot to Dallas when he first saw pictures of her.

He came in at #3 and wondered if the other guys on this list knew they were on it.

Skylar opened up her gmail on her iPhone. She skimmed through her emails, replying to some. She stopped on one that said,"Rich Kids of New York,"

"What the hell?!" she asked. She opened up the email. It was about the rich kids of New York. She came in second place. Right after Valarie Kensington. "Good enough," she said to herself. She swiped down to number 3. It was some guy named Dallas.

Skye raised her eyebrow, they never sent these type of emails out.

Elizabeth woke up with a bucket of cold water getting hitting her face. She opened her eyes with shock and she saw her older brother Jasper with the bucket in his left hand laughing as hard as he could. Elizabeth got out of bed and Jasper started running away from her, Elizabeth began to run behind him trying to catch him. Elizabeth was about to catch him until she heard sounds coming from the large living room. She ignored the sounds and started to chase her brother again. They eventually got to the 1 floor of the mansion and they ran past her father and a camera crew. They arrived to the giant kitchen and started to throw fruit at each other. Her father eventually entered the kitchen with an angry look on his face

"I need some silence! They are trying to record and is not easy to do it when you are running around the entire mansion!"

Her dad left without saying a word and Elizabeth looked at Jasper

"Recording for what?

"I heard they were makind a documentary about him"

"The one on live T.V?"

"Yup, we totally interrupted something going on in live T.V"

"We totally did"

Valerie woke up to her phone alerting her of an e-mail. She rolled over reaching her phone she got an e-mail titled "Rich Kids of New York". She pressed it curiously wondering what it would say, I mean obviously it had to be about her. She saw that she was ranked number #1 "Good, right where I should be." She smiled as the closed the e-mail and stretched in her bed observing her perfect life. She decided to get up treat herself to a shopping spree. She got up and dressed put on a matching headband (she's never seen not wearing a headband) and had her driver bring her shopping.

Elizabeth took a shower and got ready for her busy day. She had an interview with her co-start Howard Mountain. Then, she had the premiere for the first movie she was in without her father. She dressed up and quickly entered her car. The interview was in the mall where one of the scenes was taken. She parked her car and entered the mall.

She saw the tv crew and the cameras as soon as she entered the mall. She sat down in the couch near Howard an the interview started.

"Tell me Elizabeth, how did you feel working with Howard, the winner of Hollywoods hottie of the month?"

"It was a bit awkward at first since we had never met before and know we had to fall madly in love. But, Howard is a great actor and it was great working with him"

"What about you Howard? How did you feel?"

"Like Lizzy said, it was awkward at first but then we started to trust each other and Elizabeth is a great actress"

"What is the movie about?"

"The movie is about a man who lost everything he loved and decided his life had to end so he tried to jump in front of a car. The girl who was driving that car and almost killed him heard his story and wanted to help him. She told him stories with stars every night until he began to love life again and they both fell in love"

The interview continued and people who were shopping stopped to look at the interview

Skye walked out of her house with her bodyguard. There were always paparazzi and stalkers out there. Skye was taught not to trust strangers.

The paparazzi took a few pictures, but her bodyguard never let them get close. This was Skylar's dy off. No photo shoots, music videos, concerts, movie shootings, musicals, or choreography.

Skylar got into the limo. The limo drove over to fifth avenue.

(Okay, I'm back!!! xD )
Dallas

Dallas received yet another email that was titled,"Meet the Rich Kids, LIVE!!!". Knowing that he wad apart of the list that he put absolutely no consent into, Dallas opened it out of spite.

"Meet the Rich Kids of New York, LIVE! At the phenomenal Times Square Plaza, at Times Square, NYC! 11:45 PM, be there or be square!!! :)

-Rich Kids of... Magazine Editor"

It was then when Dallas realized just how huge he and all of these other guys and gals were. But the only problem was, he was never invited to any live "meet-n-greet" thing. He ranked at #3, for goodness sakes, so at the very least, he couldawouldashoulda been invited. Maybe this was the invitation. But even if it was, they could've been more direct in its purpose. He was already known for his wealth, but this made him a real celebrity.

Interested in the other kids who ranked as close as him or higher, he decided that maybe it was a good idea to try and get some insight on what the others were really like. So he went on Google, typed in some names, and on he went.

Skye Summers sat in her limo scrolling through her iPhone. She noticed an email came up and decided to check it. She remembered how she came into second place, she had a good explanation on why she was not 1st. It was pretty logical too. Her parents have been limiting interviews and paparazzi lately. Their stories stopped being on magazine covers because her famous parents need to take a break. "I probably would've been first," Skylar said to herself.

Skye read the new email, deciding to go. She knew she was pretty rich and famous. She already has a career. She's again been in many blockbuster movies. She's also have had many hit songs on the radio. How can she not be famous? Going to the meet and greet would also be a good chance to meet amazing fans. Fans are of the most important things in her career. She would not have been here without them.

Skye responded to the email:

Dear Rich Kid's Editors,

I'll be going to the meet and greet! Thank you all for inviting me! Would it be possible to have a meeting before the meet and greet with the other Rich Kids of New York? Thanks!

-Skye Summers

Skylar leaned back into her seat for the rest of the ride.

Elizabeth´s intervew had finished. The fans were still going crazy as soon as the interviewer asked Elizabeth if she could sign some autographs with Howard. A large line of fans was created and Elizabeth had to sign autographs for hours. Not that she complained, she answered some extra questions her fans asked her and everyone left with a smile in their faces. Elizabeth took out her Iphone and checked her gmail. She found an email that was titled "Rich kids New York" She read the email and inmediately answered back

Dear Rich Kid´s Editors

Thank you for inviting me to this event! I will love to attend and meet new people.

-Elizabeth Blackwell

Luckily, the event started after her premiere ended. Giving her enough time to go to the premiere and go to the even. Elizabeth realized she had to go back to her mansion to get ready for the premiere. Elizabeth drove to the mansion and got out all the dresses she could wear for a premier. She finally picked a dress, fixed her hair and her make up and relaxed for a while.

Valerie was in the middle of trying on a bunch of her designer clothes she just bought. Her phone went off and she saw another e-mail from "The Rich Kids of New York". She'd rather have the night to herself, but it's the right thing to do. I mean obviously the person who made this list is quite intelligent, or else she wouldn't have been number one. She stared at all her new purchases she sat on the floor of her walk-in closet. Her brother, Ted, walked in with his guitar slung over his back "hey val tell me what you think of it". She looked up at him waiting for him to play. He played "sooo?". "It was good, I think it needs another person though. Now you need to help me. Which one?" She asked directing his attention to the large array of dresses. He stared at her and groaned "ugh Valerieeee you're such a girl". He closed his eyes a chose a random one, "there". I look at him surprised "that's actually a nice one, thanks ted!" I hopped up with the dress and ran into the bathroom. Valerie really wanted to spend the night in, she never gets a night to herself anymore, but then she thought: being #1 does come with some sacrifices. She made her way downstairs to wait for her driver, but she soon realized that she gave him the night off. So she decided to drive herself.

Andrew was laying in his bed looking at his empty notebook. He had been asked to write a song but Andrew was terrible at writing lyrics alone. He really wanted to clear his head but nothing worked, he reached for his laptop to check his email for the thousandth time today. He saw a new mail that was titled Rich kids New York. Andrew was curious to know about it and that was the only thing to do. Andrew read the mail and smiled knowing he would be able to do something new that night. He looked at the names of the other kids, he knew some of them since they were really famous. The others had famous parent and he really didn't recognize the rest of them. He dressed up and drove towards the destination

She had hated that goddamn list ever since it first came into existence. Scowling down at her phone, she almost screamed in anger at her name written next to a number nine. She'd tried so hard to stay off this list but she'd been slowly edging her way up it. It didn't matter what she did; her name stayed firmly on the list and it wasn't planning to leave anytime soon. It was all her parent's fault for making so much money! Frustrated, Ever O'Brien threw her phone at the wall and watched as the screen shattered into pieces. Never mind. It wasn't like she needed a phone anyway with nobody to call. She crawled back into bed and made a resolution to stay there until everyone forgot about her and her name fell off that stupid list. She hated the attention she got, just because her parents had money. How ridiculous, to judge people based on their wealth.

"Miss Ever?" That was their maid, the one that came once and week to clean the house.

"Get out!" Ever snapped.

"But Miss Ever. Your mother has insisted that-"

"GET OUT OF MY ROOM!" Ever shrieked, throwing the nearest available object, which was a bedside lamp, at the door. The door was closed and the lamp smashed into it. Whatever. This was a regular weekly routine; the maid trying to clean Ever's room, Ever getting annoyed, something breaking. She scowled and, breaking the resolution she'd made minutes ago, got out of bed. Her mom would be annoyed at her now and Ever would rather avoid another lecture.

After checking that her make up was satisfactory, Ever went to the window and slid it open. Well practiced in escaping her mother's rants, she reached out and the grabbed the drain pipe near her window. Nearly hitting her head, she slid out of the window and clambered down to the ground, falling the last metre and landing on her feet. Just in time too, as she could hear her mom's voice calling her. She walked away, keeping her head down so she didn't have to see her stupidly rich neighbours. As soon as she was a considerable distance from her house, she pulled a dusty, old cigarette from her pocket and lit it. She always had a lighter on her, for smoking and committing arson- she didn't really commit arson, that was a joke. She continued down the street, inhaling from her cigarette. How could she be number nine? Sure, she was pretty- she'd go as far as saying beautiful- and sure, she had money. But... She had an "attitude problem" and she was "difficult to get through to". She chuckled at the thought as she reached her destination.

An Internet cafe- hard to believe those things still existed, but they did- tucked away at the end of an alleyway. It was nearly always empty and she spent a lot of her time here, updating her blog. The people of the internet were very understanding compared to her parents and teachers. With one glance at the NO SMOKING sign, Ever dropped her cigarette and stamped on it, putting it out. Then, she ducked inside, the bell ringing as she entered. The woman working there looked half asleep and only looked up once Ever reached her.

"I'll take a coffee." Ever said.

"Hard day, O'Brien?" The woman asked, who'd served Ever a fair few times.

"Stupid Rich Kids list." the teenage girl replied, with a shrug.

"You're still on it?" The woman said, as she turned away to make Ever's coffee.

"Unfortunately." Ever replied. After a few minutes, she received her coffee and went and sat at one of the tired old PCs. Her computer's at home were way better but she refused to use them.

Stirring sugar into her coffee with one hand, Ever went and checked up on her blog. The response to her latest post was so quiet that she could hear crickets chirping. She sighed; some people just couldn't appreciate genius, even when it was right in front of their eyes. Then, she made the mistake of checking her email again.

"Meet the Rich Kids of New York, LIVE! At the phenomenal Times Square Plaza, at Times Square, NYC! 11:45 PM, be there or be square!!! :)

Just when Ever thought her day couldn't get any worse.

Skye Summers walked into her limo sipping a frappe she got from Starbucks. She knew she had to go to the event in Time Square. She knew she was the biggest child star right now, and her parents would force her to go. As Skylar opened the door, a swarm of paparazzi crowded around her. Skye hated nothing more than paparazzi. Skylar jumped into the back of her limo and slammed the door shut.

Once she got to her house, her stylists all heard about the "event". They grabbed her arms and ushered her to her dressing room. Skylar wanted to choose her own outfit and prepare herself. Her parents wouldn't let her though. Her stylist shoved her onto a chair and started looking for a perfect dress.

"You know you don't have to do this right?" Skylar said rolling her eyes.

But her stylists didn't hear. They were all having a "deep conversation" about what dress she would wear. They were having a useless argument about what type of event this is.

"It's a meet and greet, it doesn't have to be fancy like the Oscars,"

"But, she has to look stunning!"

It took a total of twenty minutes to figure out which dress would be perfect for this starlet. They picked a blue dress with silver embellishments. They fitted Skye into it and got started on her make up. After, she looked rather gorgeous.

Skylar finally got time to herself and plopped down on her bed sighing.

Elizabeth exited her mansion and saw the front gate covered with paparazzi´s. She waved at them and then left to the premiere, inside the limosise Elizabeth was trying to relax and make the premiere one of the best. It was the first horror movie she ever acted in and she was really afraid of them, Elizabeth hoped she wouldn´t get scared by the movie since she is in almost every scene. Elizabeth finally arrived to the red carpet and exited the limosine. The screaming fans and paparazzi´s were already there taking as much pictures as they could. Elizabeth smiled at them and walked towards the entrance of the theatre. She could see the t.v crew recording everything and she waved at them. Her fans went completely crazy and she could see some of the signs the fans made for Elizabeth. Elizabeth entered the theatre and saw her co-workers talking to each other about the movie. Everyone was really exited. Everyone finally took their seats and the movie started.

Elizabeth covered her eyes during the very scary parts, which surprised her since she was the one who acted the scary parts. She left a gap between her fingers to be able to see the movie while covering her face, as soon as the movie ended everyone cheered and got out, Elizabeth found a large crowd of fans and paparazzi´s waiting for her outside to ask her a million questions. Elizabeth answered them all happilly and made a few jokes from time to time. She talked about how scary the movie was and everyone gasped in amusement since she was the star of the movie, she laughed and explained she got scared with anything so it was not something very important coming from her. Eventually, Elizabeth entered the limosine and headed towards the location she had to go for "Rich Kids New York"

As Valerie was on her way to her destination her brother was working on his song from earlier. He saw her pass and called "Where you off to?", she back tracked down the hall "There's this meet and greet thing, I was ranked top of the list so I feel I should make a brief appearance." Ted laughed "of course you're top of the list, Miss. Perfect." Valerie smiled at him "You know what mom says..." At the same time they said, "If you're not first you're last." He put his guitar down, "I'm gonna tag along, those events always allow a plus one right?" Valerie stared at him "you're not going to be my plus one dressed like that. Put a suit on." Ted rolled his eyes "Fine."

Valerie was waiting in the living room for him to get ready, he finally came down in a blazer and dress pants. Valerie shrugged, "good enough". They walked out to Valerie's car, Ted stopped in front of his car. Valerie stared at him "what are you doing? We're going to be late." He shook his head "I'm not getting in a Tiffany blue car. I'm driving." Valerie rolled her eyes in defeat "but let's be more concerned that you knew it was Tiffany blue." They got in her brother's car and drove off towards their destination. Valerie wasn't entirely sure if she could bring her brother, but she was ranked #1 so surely her twin brother could get in too. They arrived there with a couple of minutes to spare due to Ted's lead foot. They got out and began to walk towards the event.

She wasn't going. Never in a million years would she go to a stupid Meet-'N-Greet thing just because her parents had money. It combined her two worst things, people and money. And all the other people there would be posh and irritating.

"You have to go." The woman at the desk, who was named Dusk, told her, "If you keep ignoring these things, they'll just build up into a tidal wave and wash you out to sea." Looking up, Ever realised that Dusk had come over to speak to her.

"You think so?" Ever raised an eyebrow.

"You might as well get it over with, O'Brien." Dusk advised, "Your computer time's up." With that, she took Ever's half drunk coffee and walked away. Leaving Ever to make a decision that she knew she'd regret later. Ever sighed and got up to leave.

~

"A Meet and greet?" Her mother was delighted when she was told, "Oh, Ever! How wonderful! People are finally appreciating you!"

"Don't make a big deal, Mom." Ever rolled her eyes, "I just want some money for a taxi. And yes, I am taking a taxi!" She said, before her mother could argue, "I'm not being chauffeured around by some posh butler guy in a suit." Ever was standing at her wardrobe, searching for her leather jacket.

"You know, we could dress you up really pretty." Her mom said, in a soft tone, "Get a stylist to sort out your hair, find you a dress. Nothing pink... Just purple or blue, perhaps?" One look of annoyance from her daughter shut Mrs O'Brien up.

"No way in hell am I wearing a dress, Mom." Ever said, "I'd sooner stab my own eyes out with your fancy cutlery." Her mother raised an eyebrow- she disliked Ever joking about such things- but left her daughter alone, pressing a couple of dollar bills into Ever's hand.

~

"Times Square Plaza." Ever said, climbing into the back of a taxi. She'd had to phone for a taxi because she lived a fair distance from the city in a pleasant cul-de-sac and taxis never just drove past. She hated that. She hated the quiet at night and the neighbours pretty pink rose bushes and her fancy house and her stupidly artificial parents and her cosy little life. How she longed to live in the middle of some grungy city and be kept up all night by cars roaring past. How she longed for a normal, gritty life where she could write angst-y songs about her suffering.

"Rich Kid, huh?" said the taxi driver- great, even the freaking taxi driver knew about the meet and greet thing!- turning to her, "Should've guessed, coming from this area. Beautiful part of the city."

"It's nice, I guess." Ever said, buckling her seatbelt, "If you like this kinda stuff."

Andrew arrived to the destination and looked around. The flash of the cameras made him go blind for a few seconds until he realized the place was full with paparazzi. He waved at them and gave a big smile, the event was very important and everyone in New York would be talking about that. Andrew was glad he had a real occasion to get out of the house, his mind was completely blank and he really needed to write the song. He never wrote lyrics, only in high school but that was before he became very famous and his life was music. He had lost all the inspiration he had or maybe he just needed to look for an experience that could help him. Andrew looked at the limosines and fancy cars arriving and knew those were the other rich kids

(@Fallen from Heaven @noobysubstance14 )

(I was basically at the event, so I'll just continue...I won't acknowledge any other character until they state they're there.)

Valerie walked up to the destination and saw the camera's flashing. She walked up with Ted just behind her. They stopped occasionally answering questions from reporters, posing for pictures both separately and together, and waving to people. They were used to this, whenever they went somewhere with their parents they were used to the attention. Valerie walked to the main part of the event and stopped in the middle and turning a full 360 observing the best spot to be noticed in. Granted she's #1, of course she'll be noticed.

Ted saw someone else was already here he walked up to him "Hey dude, I'm Ted". Ted stuck out his hand towards him. While Ted talked with Andrew, Valerie was eagerly posing for more pictures and talking about herself. A reporter asked how it felt to be #1, she responded "I was so surprised when I got an e-mail from the Rich Kids of New York. I had no idea the rankings were even a thing. While it's nice to be noticed for my hard work, I really just enjoy doing what I love and following my dreams. I hope the rest of the rich kids realize that these rankings don't define us, our hard work and dreams do." She flashed a smile as the reporters thanked her and took some more pictures then walked over towards Ted. She saw he was talking to someone, and decided to go stand by him. She walked up smiling at Andrew, but not saying anything as to not interrupt their conversation.
