What is the Reverie Theater? The theater was created by Erina Bragi, a demigod and former thespian. She built the theater in the middle of an enchanted forest in hopes to appeal to the many mythical beings that reside there. Reverie Theater acts as a safe haven for performing artists and designers of all races, ages, and abilities. The ultimate goal of the theater is to put on a variety of shows and performances that eliminate the stereotypes and typecasting of a judgemental world.

The doors to the theater are never locked. However, to add a layer of protection, the building has been enchanted to only reveal itself to those seeking it out. The presence of the theater is well known to the magical and supernatural world. Frequent advertising and word of mouth always draw a large audience for performances. Grand shows and events have made Reverie Theater quite reputable.

Only the theater staff know of the magic behind the scenes. Literal magic is a fundamental component of the theater. Many magical effects are used during performances, but the building itself demonstrates more magical behavior. The rooms and hallways often rearrange themselves. New secrets are always being created. It takes some getting used to, but the staff can easily utilize these changes to enhance their live performances.

Erina does require that one area of the theater be addressed with caution. The prop room is actually a dimensional rift. This allows for the perfect props to always be accessible. However, it is easy to get lost and can be extremely dangerous. Only veteran staff members are allowed to enter the prop room alone. Reverie Theater is more than just a playhouse. It is a community. All are welcome here. Positions are always available. Come and join the troop that brings art to life!

How it works.This rp will open with generic character interactions. Once some base relations are established, the OOC thread will suggest real-world shows (Phantom of the Opera, Grease, Shakespeare, etc) for the theater to produce. A voting poll will then determine the next show. Characters will roleplay, rehearsals, preparations, and performances for putting on the show.

The OOC thread will need to come to a consensus if Auditions should be roleplayed out or whether acting roles to be randomly assigned to those interested. If Auditions are roleplayed the director of the show will determine the final selection of the cast. Arguments OOC about role assignments will not be tolerated.

Once we feel a show has run its course the process will begin again to select the next show.

Remember the goal of Reverie Theater is to break through stereotypes. Get creative with what your character can do! An ogre can play the damsel in distress! A pixie can recite somber monologues! A centaur can be a featured dancer! A banshee could be a mime! It's all about getting creative with your characters.
