Resplendant Fire Designer Festival!

I am starting a game and could use some ideas/help with how to get it off the ground.


After a discussion with the players they expressed and interest in the Crimson Pentacle Blade Martial Art, each one wanting a different posture. I said I wanted to start out of Sion, and they had no problems with it. My reasoning is simple: It the easiest place on the Blessed Isle for Solars to be discovered and smuggled from, even though its rather close to the Palace Sublime.


A run down of the characters:


Sesus Xiong, the unExalted (at least before the US Exalts him) Son of Sesus Chenow, part of the Sesus Legions. His Fang is currently playing Bodyguard to another, lesser Sesus Dynast attending the Festival. He will Exalt into a Dawn and the Noble Blade.


Peleps Aralen, a Acolyte of Pasiap in the Immaculate Faith. He is being allowed a day of reflection before his official assignment. He will Exalt into the Zenith and the Western Shield Posture.


Subtle Lim is a library sage and scribe, being taken to the Festival to balance the books for his master. He will Exalt into the Twilight and the Northern Ice Blossom.


Gentle Breezes is a Tavern Waitress indebted to the Tavern Master for the money she borrowed to try and save her now dead parents. She will Exalt into the Night and the Southern Scythe.


Lastly is Silver Leaf. He is a quick witted tailor who dreams of having a better life, so he comes to the festival to show off his designs and hopefully find a patron. He has ties in the Guild. He will Exalt into the Eclipse and be the True Spear Sage.


The only thing I am really sure of is that Oak will smuggle them out of the city to his CotI father. After the first few games (depending on how long it takes to get them out) there will be a 5 year down time when they are seperated and training under different masters. Any ideas to help me move it along?

Why have them train under different masters?  As a understand it, the Crimson Blade Pentacle Style was designed to be utilised so various artists can work together more efficiently.


Anyway, onto my idea: Have each Exalt trained by the same master, but at singular locations, where they don't know what the other is learning, and have the instructor the same person.  In my mind, this mentor would be (wait for it) a Sidereal who believes that Solars work better together rather than separately, and has taken it upon himself to train them so they become the finest force in Creation (under his control, obviously).

The reason that they were being sent to different masters was more of a scattering so they are harder to find kind of thing. Also it says under the description that students tend to find masters that have the posture that they want to emulate.


Mostly though it was going to be because the are Exalting at the same time and in a place rather close to the Palace Sublime. That many anathema at one place is going to draw some serious attention.
