Hey everyone.
Something that came up during the last game I ran, was the deal with some certain resisted rolls.
In Exalted, many rolls when players interact with eachother are resisted, as when they try to manipulate eachother socially, when stealthing / discovering stealth, and when fighting.
However, the rules seems to become rather imbalanced when the proper thing to resist with seems to be a virtue. How would you solve the following situation:
A person has presence 3, specialized on intimidation (2). He tries to intimidate a rather hardened warrior-type ( they are both Dragon Blooded and know eachother ). The warrior has valor 3. The first person's goal is to intimidate the other person into having troubles attacking him.
What should be used? Willpower + Valor? Valor + Socialize? Valor only, and ignore the successes the original guy got? I cant find any references to such a situation in the books.
