Mostly smart-casual. Zhiyan places a lot of effort in the way he dresses, though even if he would not admit to it, some days he just feels like going to the grocery store in sweat pants and house-shirt (though god forbid anyone to see his face in such a state). An exception to this are funny print shirts, that he would wear once in a blue moon with pride. He's also meant to wear glasses- though barely anyone knows of this as he frequents contacts due to the thickness of his lenses.

Vices:

- Tactless: Insanely so. He finds it hard to read situations and would often accidentally behave inappropriately. Etiquette is, after all, a mere social construct. Most of the words that come out of his mouth are filter-less. Some might say that he's simply honest to a fault.
- Insecure: In a way that is more subconscious than his behavior. Call it overcompensation, Zhiyan finds himself to often succumb in anxiety in regards to his own identity and performance. He always finds the need to prove himself, though at the end of the day it was to no one else but his own being.
- Spiteful: It's not easy to go entirely all the way to his bad side, but once you do, there is no going out. Zhiyan knows how to hold a grudge, and will not turn the other cheek. His light-hearted mannerism can get resentful really quickly when he truly dislike someone, and everything from that point onwards will go south.

Virtues:

- Confident: For better or for worse, Zhiyan knows how to grab attention around him. He is fearless in promoting his opinions and thoughts and unafraid to approach new people. An extrovert at heart, his presence will always be known every time he walks in.
- Competitive: Down to an almost ridiculous level. There is something about competition that intrigues him, no matter what it is about. This could often end badly, as Zhiyan is not the type to back out when challenged. On the other hand, this makes him resilient in his pursuit, whether to achieve his ambitions or to simply perform his best.

Biography:

What would you do if you've lived in a world painted in black and white? To walk amongst the crowd, to speak as though underwater; breathless and muted. In a world of masks and black umbrellas, Zhiyan chose to wear red.

Zhiyan comes from a name of wealth in Taiwan, and to say he has a large family would be an understatement. His father had three siblings, mother four siblings. Him? He has as many as five older brothers and one much younger sister. His oldest brother works as a surgeon, with a beautiful wife and a wonderful daughter. The second a lawyer, unmarried yet though he has a fiance. The third a pure math lecturer. The list goes on until it reaches him, a mere twenty-two years old liberal arts student on his final year.

It was not as much as his familial pressure that burdens him, in fact, his being was nearly considered non-existent. To them he was just another son to add to the collection; why they decided to have that many children Zhiyan could never understand. The self is removed, he was nothing more than an accessory. A brick to the foundation of a home they call family.

The idea of "meaning" begins to entrance him. To seek for more; a desire to understand and live. "To live is the rarest thing in the world, most people just exist." Redefining his being becomes the purpose of living. When he scored a scholarship in a Korean university, Zhiyan packed up and left his home. To live a life he can be proud of, and to dictate his own "meaning" in a world that lacks it.

  †Patience - It takes quite a lot to get Alex actually angered or annoyed at someone or something going on. He tends to take into consideration that everyone is different, and some just take a bit more time to understand the situation or what they have done was wrong.
  †Loyalty - Those that he cares for; whether they are friends or family have his undying loyalty. He will never betray those he is loyal to even if it means his life or sacrificing any type of reward offered to him for betraying them.

  ☠Anger - His anger, while it might be difficult to trigger; when it does, Alex can become a heartless person who will not care for the words he will use nor what the next sort of action he may take. Usually, the quickest way to cause his anger to rise is to hurt his loved ones.
  ☠Selfishness - Although many people have attempted to show pity to him and others trying to get him to open up about his feelings, Alex normally does not say much about his life and keeps it all to himself.
  ☠Strict - During his time of training students in his dojo, he is known to be quite the strict instructor. His methods of teaching when it comes to sparring at times can be rough as he will not hold back his strikes, believing that if his students want to learn how to defend themselves then they must understand that the world is unforgiving when someone will strike them.
  
  ☣Fear {Uncontrolled Fire} - Considering where he had gotten his scars from, each and everytime there is a raging fire; Alex will tend to freeze on the spot while staring at it. The closer it gets to him the more he will shake before going into a full-on panic attack.

• BACKGROUND

  
  

  Being born and raised in America to mother who was an actress while his father being a businessman and an older brother who spent majority of his time studying, Alex did not have much of a connection with any of his family members. The only time he had the most time with them was when he was a newborn as his mother and father had to take time off from their busy schedules to care for him. By the time he was able to stand, walk and go to school however, he was left to his own and his older brother was expected to do the rest of the caring for. The most his older brother could do was to pick Alex up from school, walk him home, cook food for him, tuck him in for bed, wake him up, and walk him to school. There was never time for games or any form of entertainment as any free time his older brother had was spent studying.
  
  Without any help from any of his family members, Alex had difficulty learning for a while and when grades came in; his father was furious at the fact of how poorly Alex had been doing in school. Since his father was also a heavy alcoholic, he was quite the violent man when he drank and took it out on either of his two sons when he found one was failing even in the slightest and since the older child was studying constantly, he was safe. This left Alex to be punished almost daily in multiple forms of physically beating him while other times had used more extreme measures such as a heated belt that left deep cut wounds on his skin. Throughout each time of these punishments, Alex's mother had never known since she was rarely ever home to witness it and he was threatened to not tell her what had happened.
  
  Eventually, the physical harm was revealed to the mother when she had seen the scars that littered Alex's entire back, upper arms and legs. The instant she had found out about them, she had known that it was none other than her husband since she was aware of his alcohol problem but yet never believed that he would stoop as far as to physically harm any of their own children. Not wanting to have one of her only sons being harmed constantly and knowing that she could not be around to protect him at all times, she scheduled Alex a plane to leave the country where she had paid in advance for a place where he could live for at least a few years before he would have to begin fending for himself. With her fame, she was luckily able to work through quite the number of paperwork to eventually get him a citizenship in Korea where he could be able to attend school there. Knowing that it would be very difficult for her son to learn a completely new language by force, she believed that if Alex was taken away from such a toxic environment, he would be able to grow up to be a better man.
  
  Growing up in a foreign country since he was sent over there in the midst of his teenage years, life was beyond difficult for Alex since he did not understand the language, nor did he know how to do anything. It took some time, but eventually he regained his footing and began heading to school there. Just as his mother believed, without the toxic life of being harmed by his father for doing even slightly poorly in his grades, Alex was able to make friends with others around him and learn through his own mistakes and get help from those around him.
  
  By the time Alex graduated from High School and even College, he found himself joining a dojo where he learned martial arts as a hobby at first. From there, he learned meditation and how it helped him clear his thoughts and calmed his nerves. During his time there, he went to work at a cafe for a while. Eventually, as he became better at his martial arts, he started to form a love for the sport until he was given the highest-ranking belt in the dojo and soon even given an opportunity as a teacher for other new students. Taking the chance, he left his job at the cafe and began teaching others of what he learned and from there he believes he had found his dream job.

    His mother. Rina works as an actress so most of her days are spent at the studios or wherever a film was being produced and needed her at the time. Because of this, she didn't have much time to spend with her children let alone her husband, although the times she did spend with them were the greatest as she knew how to show the same amount of energy she had when filming as when she was being a mother figure to her two sons and husband.
    For a long while, she was unaware of how violent her husband was treating Alex at the time since his brother; Jin was older and her husband felt that because he was more successful, that meant he had to beat the sense into their younger child. When she had finally found out, she used her earnings to be able to send their younger son abroad where he could get away fromt he violence and possibly grow up in a better environment.     Yamamoto Takeda

    His father. Yamamoto is a well-known businessman who sees practically everything in dollarsigns and charts. He values success over almost everything else in his life. Considering it is how he raised Alex's older brother, Jin; it was expected of Jin to grow up to be a role model for his younger brother and it being the only way to actually recieve some sort of approval or 'love' from their father. Because Jin had proved himself time and time again only to continue succeeding in life more, Yamamoto found that his younger son was lacking and this led to him beating him almost daily as a way of trying to get him to learn through force. Even when his wife had sent him away, he found no remorse for his actions. Not much is known about what is going on with Yamamoto to this day other than the fact that he has become a heavy alcoholic.

    
    

    
    
    

    Jin Takeda

    His older brother. Jin is five years older than his younger brother Alex. Because of this, by the time Alex was born, Jin had already started school and had already known that their father only looked for the goal of success in one way or another and nothing else as well as the punishment of failing. Jin had become the top student in every class he had attended and only ever received perfect grades. Even when his brother was being punished for not being as good as him, Jin only kept pushing forward, almost as though he were trying to hide the fact that he had to listen to the screams and cries of his younger brother being physically harmed. By the time his younger brother was sent away, Jin was relieved even if it was only slightly since he had to always focus on his studies. To this day, all Alex knows about his brother is that he owns a highly successful cafe that has been popping up all over the world as of late.

    Yumi. A pet companion chipmunk that follows Alex everywhere and other times is being carried either on his shoulders or in one of his pockets. Yumi was originally a wild chipmunk that he had found on his windowsill of his apartment one day. Rather than leave it alone, Alex took it in and cared for it until it was at healthy. When attempting to set it free, Yumi decided not to leave and remain with him. She tends to cheer him up and show compassion to him when she feels as though he is feeling down. Tavian (Tave) Whitlock​

Biography

Tavian was born and raised by his single parent father in the U.S.A., specifically in New York. His mother left when he was young, but he was old enough for him to remember her. She was a bit of a socialite, loving to go to parties, meeting popular figures of the community, and just being larger than life. So when Tavian took interest in playing the piano when he was young, she jumped at the chance have her son start lessons so that she could show off his talent to her friends. This interest seemed to fade when she became infatuated with a man that was more driven (and richer) than her current husband, Tavian's father. This is what led her to leave Tavian in the care of his father. Tavian continued his lessons with the piano as a child, in the hopes that if he got good enough, maybe his mother would come back. Of course, later on in life he gave up that foolish thought and being pianist became more of a passion rather than a means to a false hope. His father was a positive influence in his life always taking care of all his needs, teaching him good values, and supported his career decision. He wasn't a rich man, but he did own a business in carpentry of which he taught Tave a thing or two in as well. This knowledge coupled with his love for pianos, he decided he wanted to fix/make pianos for a living along with being a pianist. So when Tavian presented a program where he could study abroad in South Korea at the music institute, his father fully paid for anything he needed to make it happen.After graduating from the institute, he started doing exactly what he set out to do. He plays as a freelance pianist for events and travels to clients to fix their pianos. As a hobby, he makes them from scratch as well to sell them off.

Biography

Tavian was born and raised by his single parent father in the U.S.A., specifically in New York. His mother left when he was young, but he was old enough for him to remember her. She was a bit of a socialite, loving to go to parties, meeting popular figures of the community, and just being larger than life. So when Tavian took interest in playing the piano when he was young, she jumped at the chance have her son start lessons so that she could show off his talent to her friends. This interest seemed to fade when she became infatuated with a man that was more driven (and richer) than her current husband, Tavian's father. This is what led her to leave Tavian in the care of his father. Tavian continued his lessons with the piano as a child, in the hopes that if he got good enough, maybe his mother would come back. Of course, later on in life he gave up that foolish thought and being pianist became more of a passion rather than a means to a false hope. His father was a positive influence in his life always taking care of all his needs, teaching him good values, and supported his career decision. He wasn't a rich man, but he did own a business in carpentry of which he taught Tave a thing or two in as well. This knowledge coupled with his love for pianos, he decided he wanted to fix/make pianos for a living along with being a pianist. So when Tavian presented a program where he could study abroad in South Korea at the music institute, his father fully paid for anything he needed to make it happen.After graduating from the institute, he started doing exactly what he set out to do. He plays as a freelance pianist for events and travels to clients to fix their pianos. As a hobby, he makes them from scratch as well to sell them off.

    Born the only daughter of business mogul, Song Hyonu, normalcy was never an option for Song Myeong. While Hyonu spent most of his time in South Korea, his wife stayed in Singapore with their two young children to keep them from the pressure of the prying public as long as possible.
    
    Even with her father mostly absent, Myeong grew up rather spoiled. When her father did come visit, he bought his two children whatever they desired to make up for his long absences. The Song family was well respected in Singapore, and Myeong had no trouble fitting in with the other aspiring socialites. The Song children lived a comfortable, lux life until Myeong turned fourteen and Jae-Hwa turned sixteen, when Hyonu moved his family from Singapore to South Korea, wanting Jae-Hwa to learn the family business.
    
    Young Myeong was uprooted from the only life she'd ever known, from the friends she'd made and the peace that their home in Singapore afforded. Their home in Seoul was just as luxurious, but the Song children were no longer sheltered from the expectations of their father's business.
    
    Even now that the family was finally all living under one roof, Hyonu spent all of his time with Jae-Hwa, dismissing the youngest Song to learn proper socialite etiquette from her mother. Myeong was rightfully pissed, she had forgiven her father for abandoning them in Singapore because his work was in South Korea, but now he was actively ignoring her for Jae-Hwa, simply because she was a girl.
    
    To gain her father's attention, Myeong started acting out. Instead of being the pretty and polite socialite she was meant to be, Myeong disregarded the social standards and acted more like a typical working class brat than a well-bred elite. The only attention it garnered from her father was a stern lecture, and then he was right back to doting on Jae-Hwa. It drove the younger girl mad, making her act out even more until she was expelled from the private school she and her brother attended.
    
    Now branded the problem child, Hyonu sent his daughter back to Singapore to attend school there. This drove a wedge between Myeong and her family, both physically and emotionally. Feeling abandoned by her own blood, Myeong drank her problems away and became well-known around the party scene of Singapore. She filled the void of her family with alcohol, shopping, and her university studies.
    
    The pain turned into passion as Myeong decided to pursue a career in law, acing all of her classes now that she had only one goal: prove to her father that she was useful. That he had been wrong to turn her away. It was easy to throw herself into school with nothing but a need to succeed driving her, and upon graduation Myeong was hired by a respectable law firm in Singapore. But even after graduating with honors and a successful law career starting, Myeong still felt empty.
    
    One of Myeong's most destructive coping mechanisms, was her ever changing relationships. From boyfriends, girlfriends, and friends, the people around Myeong were constantly cycling. In a world here money and power ruled all, many people hung around the Song heiress thinking it would bring them opportunities with her father. They were rather disappointed then, when they found out that Song-san didn't even bother to visit his daughter in Singapore, and dropped Myeong's companionship as soon as she wasn't useful.

  Bora was born and raised as an only child in Jeju-do, South Korea on September 27th, 1999. Her father, Kyung-soo, is a tangerine farmer and her mother, Chan-mi, is a Haenyeo, a female diver harvesting a variety of mollusks, seaweed, and other sea life. While her parent's worked hard to provide a comfortable life, she spent most of her time with her grandmother after school. They would often go to the movies and spend a couple of hours watching the cheesiest films and binge on popcorn.
  
  
  
  While Bora's family was firm on school being first, they were supportive of whatever career she wanted to do in her life. When she thought she wanted to be a fashion designer, her mother would go out and buy stacks of fashion books and a sewing machine for lessons. When she grew interested in singing and dancing, her parents would help get her some lessons and when that got too expensive, there was always a video on the internet to help assist. Bora's mind kept changing like the wind, but her parents adapted as best as they could.
  
  
  
  

  second stage of life

  As Bora started to get older, she became a victim of bullying in school. While she never had an issue with her simple, comfortable home life, more popular wealthy students would. At first, it started with a few verbal insults here and there, but the frequency started to increase as the school months went on. Bora tried to keep her head up and ignore them as the comments grew crueler. They would make fun of her appearance and her family, yet she continued to ignore them. It was not too much longer after that that the bullying began getting physical.
  
  
  
  It increasingly became tougher to ignore the harassment she received. Her teachers and other students would never say a word. They treated it as normal and for a while, Bora thought it was. It became normal to find herself tripping over her feet and landing hard on her knees as she scrambled to pick up her things. It became normal to have her lunch tray snatched from her hands or spilled on the front of her shirt. It became normal to have students crowd her desk before the start of class and aggressively touch her hair while making fun of her looks and intelligence.
  
  
  
  As a way to cope, Bora would spend time snacking. She was not prone to crying or burdening others with her problems. While she knew her family would never judge her, she did not want to worry them about her issues and would find better solutions to keep pushing. After all, she only had couple more years before she was free from her hellish schoolmates.
  
  
  
  Her weight fluctuated a lot in school, which only added to the torment she received. She would gorge herself on food until her stomach felt like it would burst. She always had to have her school uniform tailored for her ever-changing weight. Her parents worried and tried to put her on some healthier meal plans, but at night, she would binge eat to quell the sadness she felt. She graduated with decent grades and had no idea what she wanted to do in the future. She felt unmotivated and sad.
  
  
  
  
  
  

  third stage of life

  She spent most of her newfound freedom in her room and going through various forums and chat rooms. It was the only time she could properly connect to people when there was a screen between them. She made a lot of internet friends and became a closely regarded confidant. The hours she spent being online led her to eventually create a YouTube channel, where she would make fun of bad movies and recommend good ones.
  
  
  
  As Bora built a community for herself on YouTube, she started to slowly get that spark back in her life and feel like she could be more hopeful. She began balancing working out with her binges and was able to keep a steady weight. Even though, she would still run into the issue of overeating and gaining the weight back again. She enjoyed speaking to people from all over the world and gaining new perspectives.
  
  
  
  For the time being, a content creator on Youtube seemed like a good fit for her. She managed to garner 1m subscribers in under two years. Bora even became inspired to start creating short films on top of her film critiques. While Bora has made a lot of friends online, she still feels lonely in her personal life. She joined a dating show to not only push herself out of her comfort zone to meet more people in her real life, but to find someone who understands her.
