Suggestion Remove messaging timer during emails?

I understand that the messaging timer helps to prevent spam, but I think it needs to be removed during email exchanges.

Maybe there could be a new rule that limits amount of emails a new member can post, to see if they're not going to spam you. But it's removed after a certain amount of emails are exchanged.

By emails, do you mean private messages?

The rule is applied to private messages as well since fast pace posting can still occur from members who aren’t new. While it may not necessarily be spam, it can quickly make a page difficult to navigate, having a page full of single line posts by one person. The other side is that staff isn’t able to moderate as well in PMs as in the main forums, so if someone does spam in the PMs, we won’t be able to tell.

Yes, both emails and PMs. I'd like to converse freely, and fluidly, with a member, without feeling like I've got a leash on.

I'm not sure what you mean by emails, if not PMs. We don't have anything to do with emails other than those sent by the notifications system.
