Fantasy Remember royalty first...

"What's that about humans?" Cale joked to Uriah as he entered the room. "Have you seen his majesty, or know where I can find him?" the general asked as he looked around the room.

Uriah smiled and stepped into the room. "Well i believe the king is out of the castle right now." He turned to Calypso and let out a silent laugh. "I just returned, the only one here a few seconds ago was the servant." Uriah turned back to Cale and sighed. "And just so you know, i think all humans look the same." He did not understand humor and thought Cale's question was serious. Uriah turned back to Reika and scowled. "I said go to the library, but since you did not listen....there will be consequences for your actions." He looked at Cale and smiled. "Please bring her to the dungeon until the next public hanging. Do you have any questions, general?"

"Uriah that seems far too harsh for the girl, I shall see to it that she goes to the library." Cale said as he stood in front of Reika. "If she must be punished I shall see to it that she'll have one fit for the crime, you'll not hang this girl for a simple delay"

---Uriah---

"I have already dismissed everyone else, and by queens orders if a servant does not cooperate they are to hang." He frowns and crosses his arms. "You do not seem like the type who would question royalty, so why start now?" Uriah let out a silent hiss and flicked his tongue at Cale. "Please just take her to the dungeon and we will decide what happens later, or we could resolve this now." He rests his hand on the hilt of his ax and smiles. "There is an open grave outside Cale, and like i said before are you going to question the queen?"

"I'll not let this girl hang for this trivial act. That's not justice. And if you wish to send me to a grave, you'd best wait until I turn my back" Cale growled as he took Reika by the arm, and exited the room.

Calypso was ready to step in. She didnt know why Uriah had gone all of the sudden to cold blood. It wasn't like him, or him she knew. Then it struck her. She has overheard it from the servants. It was rumored that Uriah, hated humans. For reasons she didn't know, but it must be true. She instantly became all to aware of the space between the queen and Uriah. She wanted to trust him, badly, but you could never be too sure. Calypso looked at Uriah, waiting to see what he would do next.

---Uriah---

Uriah grinned and crossed his arms. "Of course you would question the queen, Why of all times now?" He said to himself before turning to Calypso and smiling. "Can you please talk to him and explain the queens orders?" Uriah pulls a small silver pocket watch from the bag on his belt and shakes his head. "It seems we have lost plenty of time. Instead of talking to Cale could you see if the guards will keep an eye out for thieves, in other words please double security." He sighs and crushes the pocket watch before placing it back in his bag. "They stole another one of my books, and more are stolen by them every day. The books in the library are my life, and i refuse to let them go."

"Um, sure" Calypso still didn't trust Uriah completly, but the king must have chosen him for a reason. Stepping out of the door for a split second she waved down a guard. "Tell your squadron leader I need to speak with him immediately" Giving the guard a slight hand gesture, the guard took off, to find his superior. Stepping back into the room, she gave Uriah a nod. "That should be taken care of in no time." She wondered why Uriah asked her though. She wasn't in charge of the guard tole. She was in charge of the queens safety, but she did what her superiors wanted her too, as long as it was within reason.

"Kindly refrain from giving my guard orders." Katrina stood from her chair. Her slippers were soundless against the floor. Without her queen's guard Katrina was defenseless. Calypso's departure, even for a moment, left an opening for an attack. She glared at Uriah. By now, he should have known how her mind worked. Her nerves spiked."And what is this talk of thieves on the premises? Is it not capital punishment to steal from the king? Everything in this palace belongs to the king." Including your lives. Katrina ground her teeth. The etiquette for a lady kept her from saying more. "I want this dealt with."

"Reika is different." The queen's wardrobe took precedence. Katrina also excluded her lady's maids from the order. She thought it went without saying. Every few months, Katrina switched anyway. Daughters of nobles were notorious for their loose lips and poor judgement. "Calypso, tell us whether Reika is trustworthy." She said. Her voice flat because she already knew the answer.

Looking between the two, she felt the tension. Gently placing her hand on her sword, to show she would protect the queen at all costs. "Reika is as trustworthy as they come." She didn't dare look into the eyes of Uriah. Though he had been kind to her, she had just seen him get slightly irratated, and didn't want to see worse.

Uriah looked down and shook his head. "There is a thief stealing from the castle library. Decorations and documents are missing, sometimes silverware from around the castle disappears also." He looked back over to Reika and shook his head. "I am sorry if i caused problems, it was just that i thought she was a servant and not your assistant." Uriah stretched and looked back at the queen and smiled. "I sent a chef to deliver some wine, but it seems they are running late." His tongue flicks at the air as a chef with a trolley of food passes nearby. "I am only around because your husband is away, when he returns i shall disappear and not bother you again."

Calypso didn't know what to say or do. She was, and is,horrible with politics, and most people know that. She is also horrible at keeping secrets from her queen, so Calypso kept her mouth shut. If she learned anything, is that if you don't know what to say, don't grovel, and don't say anything and you will be fine, hopefully. When they start to ask questions, improvise. She really needed to talk to the queen about this. She didn't want to helpless in the courtroom, of anyone asked her anything.

A servant toting a wine bottle and a cart to carry it on appeared in the doorway. The man seemed sheepish as he entered the room. One of those whose position in the castle would soon be under question for all she knew. Katrina's posture straightened. She took a glass and gestured for Uriah to do the same. "Uriah, the country would be far worse without you." Katrina said. The sound of a bottle popping faded in the background. "Forgive a lady for being cross this morning. I haven't seen my husband in some time." If anything the coolness in her voice doubled.

"These thieves are probably errant servants. I was mistaken not to have replaced them beforehand." Katrina turned toward her bodyguard. "It's stuffy in here. I think it's time to take a walk in the courtyard."

Finally, she could leave the castle! Happily she walked out the door, knowing the queen would follow, eventually. She had been wanting to leave the castle for awhile now, and this was a chance that she could, while doing her job. Calypso, a little overexcited, even started to almost skip in the hallway. She hoped the queen wouldn't mind.

((I'm headed to bed, so goodnight everyone!))

Vega almost smiled at the sight of his kingdom's gates. Tar Marea was a sight to behold for him, he had only been away for some hours, but it felt like days to him. This is where he was born, where he grew up, where his family was buried and where his remaining family was.

"Dane, ride out in search of General Cale, I have business to discuss with him. And Gallen, go find my wife and tell her I'm back and will be waiting for them both in the dining room." As soon as the orders were out, Dane and Gallen rode out to their assigned destinations, both nodding in respect, although Gallen had a pleased smirk on his face."

"Is it wise to send Gallen to your wife sire? We all know how devious he is and know that he will use every opportunity he gets to try and persuade he to choose him over you." Vega looked over at Reemer as he said this, and he had to admit that technically he was right.

"Aye, that is true Reemer, but you forget that my marriage isn't based on status, but out of love. Katrina has already chosen, so I do not fear whatever threat Gallen has. And plus, if his scheme were to succeed, no land or ocean would be able to hide them from me. I would have them both hung for betraying the king" Reemer nodded his and kept quiet for a while. Although he found it hard to believe that his king would hang his queen, he knew that he could do it if she ever betrayed him in such a way.

"I am close enough to my castle to not need any protection, you can all ride back to your homes now. And plus, I don't want to ,y guards to think you're taking their jobs." Vega didn't wait for any recognition from them, he leaned down allowed Aizack to reach full speed.

He reached the castle gates faster than any regular horse can.

General Cale saw Dane ride in on horseback, hoping it meant the king had returned. Cale climbed down the stairs and met Dane with a smile. "Dane, it's a pleasure to see you once more. Where's the king? I have to speak to him at once"

((I am just waiting for @CountDracula to reply then ill respond with Vera...))

---Vera---

Vera stood up and grabbed a glass of wine. "It does not matter anymore." She sat back down on the floor then sipped from the glass. "So anyone have anything interesting happen lately? I would share stories myself but then again, the king is right there." Vera laughed and smiled. "I will have to return for work soon so lets make this quick." ((@CountDracula))

---Uriah---

Uriah smiled but shook his head at the queen. "I am sorry but, i cannot drink wine. Have you ever seen me drink anything alcoholic in nature? If i were to drink that, i would become very ill." His tongue flicked at the air and he let out a short laugh. "The king seems to have returned, and not that long ago?" He was unsure but could definitely sense something was different. Uriah stepped out into the hallway and watched as a servant hurried by him. "Has the king returned?" The servant replied with a "Yes" and then ran off.

@Vyork Ashfin (You don't have to wait for me. I sometimes can't come online for some days, either because of my internet or because of school or so...)

King Vos woke up. "Ugh, what happened when I was away?", he asked.

The king glanced at Vera as he saw her standing next to his bed. Vos: "I've asked you something. You know what happens to those who don't answer my questions!"

"You fainted my king" Atrius replied to Vos handing him a glass of wine. "I told them you would arise shortly. You're subjects underestimate you my liege"
