Fantasy Remember royalty first...

Calypso bowed to her queen, slightly blushing. "I believe he just wanted to make sure his sister was well taken care of, your majesty." Turing to Uriah she whispered, "Yeah, her brother" Turning back around, she faced the queen. "Where would you like to go first, your majesty?"

---Uriah---

Uriah laughed as the queen addressed Calypso but quickly became silent after receiving a gaze. "So how are you today my queen?" He bowed and took off his helmet then tied it to his belt. "Do you need anything for the morning?" Uriah put his arms to his side and stood quietly beside Calypso, he was too frightened to move. There were rumors going around the castle about how cruel the queen was to her servants. "Would you like me to retrieve the king for you?"

Alex had been wandering through the halls when a servant had informed her of the king's illness. 'That man is going to kill himself before this war is over.' She thought. Walking through the vast halls of the castle she made her way to the king's quarters and entered the room with a small frown gracing her face.

Katrina's gaze, when she turned it on Uriah, was calculating. She pressed her mouth into a line. It wasn't a question of concern where her husband was--at the moment. She didn't appreciate anyone advising the king except her. Uriah's concerns could wait. "If you wish to be helpful Uriah, bring me a glass of wine. Or perhaps discuss the country's state of affairs with me instead? Sometimes the quickest way to reach my husband is through me." Katrina said with a smile. She paused.

"Is that General Cale? What could he want?" Katrina meant to send for him later. A demonstration with his soldiers would delight her brother--boys were so predicable. Swords and blood. Her brother worshiped her country's standing army. "Enter. You are always welcome General." Katrina said. In other circumstances, she would have gotten someone else to deal with him, but today was different. Katrina sat and crossed his ankles, the pose of a perfect lady.

Uriah extended his arm as a servant walked by with a few drinks. He pulled a full glass of wine of the tray and presented it to queen Katrina. "Here you go. And what did you want to know about the country's state?" Uriah tried to talk in plain English but it all still came out with a hard to understand accent. "We are currently not in good terms with the other major kingdom but that is the Diplomats place to discuss not mine." He smiled and stepped backwards. "The kingdoms financial state is good, and it seems most of your subjects are happy." Uriah watched as General Cale walked into the queen's room. "Why is Cale here?" He whispered to Calypso.

"Just to discuss a few things with your majesty, regarding our relations with other countries. And to ask a favor of your wife" Cale replied with a hearty embrace. The king was a close friend, a man he respected.

Uriah's assurances about the peace in her nation made Katrina stiffen. "There's always something wrong." She said. "The state of our economy is good and our people are happy?" Katrina drew up in her chair. She tapped a painted nail to her chin. "Are we not taxing them enough?" Katrina said. Her tone strained with dislike. "Surly there are those wary for war--or perhaps eager for it?" Katrina looked to Calypso. Her guard's company always made a difference. Katrina felt exposed without her. She reached out to touch her arm.

"What do the servants say Calypso?" Katrina pursed her lips. "What do they think of me?" The second question was unrelated to the first. The nobles greeted her warmly but she didn't trust them. Common people had less at stake. They could question her choice of hair, her dress, and style without repercussion.

Katrina straightened and glanced at Cale. She peered around the room. Katrina narrowed her eyes. "The king is away general." Her hands were neatly folded in her lap. "What can I do for you?"

Calypso shrugged her shoulders at Uriah's question. She had no idea. When the queen started to talk again, Calypso noticed a faint strain in her voice. Calypso was taken back by the queens question, but quickly regained composure. "In truth, most of them are scared of you, so they don't talk much. Especially when I'm around." Calypso slightly colored at the last commet. She didn't want the queen to know, that she had started a fight with a guard, who had insulted the queen. The servants where buzzing with the news, so whenever she came around the corner, they would always go silent.

Uriah's eyes widened at hearing the response from Calypso. "Are you mad, she will kill you." He whispered then elbowed Calypso before taking a step forward and bowing to the queen. "Your followers are happy, why would you want to tax them more? As i said before the current state of the treasury is in perfect shape at the moment and will not need to be filled for a long while, But if that is what you wish i shall speak to the king and send in a request." Uriah smiled and looked back at Calypso. "You are going to get allot of people hurt!" He whispered but accidentally spoke in the language of the Troglodytes.

A tuff of air escaped Katrina's throat in amusement. She filed the information about the castle personal for later. It was certainly time the servants were replaced. "They don't talk because they know Calypso is loyal." Katrina toyed with her sleeves for a moment. "Uriah. . . it's not your native tongue, but for the sake of my sanity, learn the meaning of sarcasm. There won't be any new taxes for now." For now. Katrina foresaw the need in the future if war became a pressing issue.

Katrina made a motion with her hand. "More importantly--my brother will attend court this evening. I want preparations made. Is it too late to organize a tourney? Perhaps a private show with knights from the castle."

"Your majesty, I was wondering if you could spare someone trustworthy to take my daughter through the gardens in the city. She's been clamoring to see them, and I've been far too busy. It seems trivial to ask, but it would mean the world to her your grace" Cale said to the queen with a deep bow.

Calypso knew she wouldn't be killed, she had been with the queen far to long. Then Uriah whispered something in his native tongue. Something about people and butterflies? She needed to study up on her launguags again.

The queen then went to the subject of her brother, wondering about stuff for his coming. Honestly she didn't get why the queen had to make a big show, it was the queens brother after all, but then again. Calypso didn't get the court at all, so she was best not to say anything. Unfourtantly the General then opened his mouth. Saying he needed a spare person to take his daughter around. Calypso could only hope, the queen wouldn't choose her.

"How old is the girl?" Katrina asked. Her fingertips grazed her cheek. Many different expression flickered across her face. This was delicate set of circumstances. The daughter of a general was a once in a game piece to play. By her birth, a very eligible young lady. Any decision Katrina made would be scrutinized by the court. The bond between the monarchy and the army needed to be overstated. A persona of strength needed to be felt even if it was present. She shifted in her seat. The solution to her problem occurred to her a moment later. Katrina cringed. She held onto her plans for the evening with a possessiveness that grated to relinquish. Her parents never left Mt. Sky. For the first time in years, Katrina felt their absence.

"Perhaps," Katrina was barely able to fake a smile. Even veiled contempt was lovely on her face. "My brother might take her to the gardens when he arrives later. Accompanied by guards of course. I will have Calypso handpick them herself." She stood. Katrina paused to examine herself in the long mirror.

"Uriah, trusted adviser." Her tone was cold but none of it was directed at him. If anything, Katrina was sincere in his loyalty. "Dismisses these treasonous servants Calypso tells me about. They are snakes in the grass. If anyone objects, hang them."

"Thank you your grace, and she's 4. Just a girl" Cale replied as he stood once more. He gave a glance upon hearing of the possible hanging, thinking to himself it seemed far too excessive but knowing it wasn't his place. "Also inform his majesty that I must speak with him as soon as possible your grace".

Uriah's fears became a reality as the queen ordered him to hang anyone that objected. "Yes your majesty." He did not like being the one to decide life and death. "Is there anything else you would ask of me?" A fake smile appeared on his face as he stood beside Calypso. "Humans are always so quick to kill." Uriah thought to himself. He bowed and watched as another guard rushed by. "I hate the sound of the armor." Uriah silently said to himself. "Before i forget, there is a group of thieves on the castle grounds. I was reading a book and fell asleep, when i awoke it was gone." He flicked his tongue as the scent of fish lingered through the air. "It seems the cooks are busy today. Are they preparing for your brothers arrival?" Uriah completely forgot about his past thought and focused on the food. "I have to take my leave." Without even waiting for a response he bowed and walked out as a Guard walked by. He could be heard arranging a meeting for the servants down the corridor. "In twenty minutes i want everyone in the library! I do not care if you have to drag them there, just bring every last non essential one!" Uriah walked back into the queens room and looked at the servants. "You are to all go and sit in the library, is that understood?" He looked at the queen and smiled. "All servants are being brought to the castle library, except the ones who are essential to this castles foundation." Uriah looked back at the servants and scowled. "Move, NOW! He followed them out and closed the door.

Novega brought a hand up to his hair, brushing it back and unknowingly staining it with blood. He'd travelled to the lands of Allora to visit his mother's people. He hadn't been there in a long time, but this time the visit was more than casual.

General Cale would have suggested he accompany him, but there was no reason for that, he needed the general back home where he can watch everything. War was upon them and it wouldn't do his kingdom any good if both their king and general suddenly became AWOL.

"No better way to start off the day don't you think sire?" Vega looked to his right, the man that spoke was one of his trusted soldiers, Dane, a 35 year man who once thought he was more worthy of the respect bestowed upon him by the army. As a son of a luitenent, he thought he should have been the one to be raised and trained by the army. Of course, Vega was able to make him see the light, leaving behind a scar on his face so he would always remember their short duel when he looked at the mirror.

"Indeed it is Dane." Poor guy had learned to respect him, and because of that respect he was one of Vega's most trusted man.

Novega looked at the other 5 members of his group, all men he trusted enough to travel beyond the reach of his kingdom with. And all for their own different reasons.

There was Azile, an 18 year old boy who looked up to Vega as a role model. He too had no parents, they had died by the swords of King Vos' men, as such he trusted Azile enough to know thet he wouldn't betray the only man who has a chance of killing Vos.

Next was Reemer, a 50 year old man who's age was nothing but a myth to his body. He used to serve his father as one of his personal guards, and after his death the man took it as a sef-assigned mission to make sure that the same never happaned to Vega.

Next was Darren, his sister was a noble lady who was inlove with Vega. As such, she had the idiotic fantasy of them marrying and having their own childeren who would unite the Kelvar and the Carrella houses. Thanks to this dream, Darren would risk his own life to protect his king because he too belives in the fantasy.

Next there was Elliot the flea. A young soldier of no older than 16, but had already gained the respect of many soldiers and even Vega himself. The boy joined the army at the age of 15, trying to emanate Vega and become a battle master like him. But of course his skill is no where near what Vega's was at age 16, but the boy didn't need it.

His light body gave him speed and made him untouchable. His small body allowed him to curve and create his own paths between flanks of soldiers. Word has it that he can move through a troop of ten thousand guards and reach their king without a single scratch. His goal of surpassing him was what made him trust worthy. He wanted Vega to live long enough for him to show case his skill against him.

And lastly there was Gallen. His well toned body, tanned skin, shoulder length blond hair and handsome face made him one of the most disered men in the kingdom and he knew it. He could have almost any woman he wants, but he chose to fall in love with Katrina. Of course his wife had never shown any signs of even acknowledging that the man exists, but that didn't mean he was going to give up.

He might be handsome, but his looks were nothing compared to Vega's, and as such his goal was to surpass Vega in everything he had, whether skill, popularity and power. As such, he wanted Vega to live long enough to see him take the one thing that he treasured the most, his wife.

Vega sighed, for the first time he felt like his majestic stallion was slow, he longed to get back to his home, see his beautiful wife, talk to his general, who was his brother in all but blood, and get a good meal.

But the most important thing is that he had together there before his queen hanged half the kingdom. And knowing her, he would probably be greeted by a 'Welcome Back' sign written in blood with his servants hanging at the gates.

Calypso kept thinking, of who she should dispatch, to take the four year old around the garden. She'd have to talk to Kilian, and probably Ty. They would be enough. Not to many to draw attention, but strong warriors to hold off several attakers. Calypso honestly didn't believe there was a threat in the castle, but she has been hearing rumors. Snapping out of her train of thought. She heard the queens order for the servants to be replaced. Calypso didn't think this was such a good idea. They were afraid of her, not exactly thinking treasonous thoughts, well all for that scumbag of a soldier, but she had already taken care of him. She hoped the king would be back in time, before there was bloodshed. "My lady, when do you want them the soldiers to be ready by? I have a select two, that I think should be sufficient. It's Kilian and Ty. I don't think we should have more than that, otherwise it will attract a lot of attention."

(Wow... I missed so much...)

Reika was woke up very late today. She knew that she actually had to get up very early before The Queen woke up. Especially because today is a very important day, the day when Queen's little brother attending the court. She was very tired yesterday and as a result she got up late today. As she ran, she tied the bracelet on both wrists. Today, she is wearing a blue Chinese Dress. As she ran to the Queen's Chamber, she was fixing her shoe that almost fall off her foot. The maids noticed Reika ran with amusement. Reika pinned some little blue flowers in her hair.

As she arrived in front of the Queen's door, Reika felt very nervous about what Queen might do to her after her mistake. She never make any mistake as long as she live her life for the Queen and this is the first time. She herself saw how the Queen treats people who do even just a little mistake. She rubbed her neck. Being hang... she thought to herself. She gulped and knocked on the door softly after braced herself. "Milady?"

Calypso heard the soft knock, and the little peep from the other side of the door. Knowing it was Reika, the queens assitant, she inwardly sighed. Today of all days, the girl had to be late today. Calypso just hoped, that the queen would be pre occupied, to worry about her assitant's tardiness.

---Uriah---

After all the non essential servants were gathered up in the library, Uriah gave a small speech and sent them on their way. "Please ask one of the chefs to bring a bottle of wine to the king." He said to a guard on his way out. "Yes sir." The guard replied before walking off. Uriah walked down many corridors before arriving at the queens chamber. "Move aside servant." He said to Reika not noticing it was her, he then knocked on the door. "Calypso it is me, can you please open the door?" Uriah glanced over at Reika then back at the door and crossed his arms. "You humans all look the same." He said then smiled.

Hearing the voice of Uriah, she looked to the queen. Deciding she should just open the door. She opened it. She was right, Uriah and Reika both where there. Turning to Uriah, "I'm sorry for the trouble I caused for you, I didn't mean too..I didn't know..." Calypso felt ashamed. Opening the door wider she let them in.
