Jason walked through the dimly lit halls with a suppressed yawn. It was almost impossible to tell the time so far beneath ground and it honestly would mess with a persons sleep cycle, it was also enough to drive even strong men mad but that was besides the point. He briefly contemplated getting some coffee but a quick look at the clock showed it was time for a checkup. Entering the control panel he did the customary good mornings and after a pat down went in to see his charge. "Good morning Deerie, how are we this fine day?"

"It's still the same old story
A fight for love and glory
A case of do or die

The world will always welcome lovers
As time goes--"

Harvey reached forward on his desk and took the needle off of the record, switching the turn table off as he did so. Exhausted, he put his elbows up on his desk and placed his head in his hands, staring at the corkboard that hung on the wall above his desk. On it, were several innocuous photographs that the Organization had allowed him to keep. Pictures from locales he had visited in his tenure there, like Brazil and Kabul, Afghanistan, a portrait of himself in police dress uniform, an old family photo. As his eyes glassed over and he stared off into space, he idly toyed with the gold wedding band that still clung to his left ring finger.

The metal desk shuttered slightly as someone, a passing secretary, set down a coffee mug and smiled. "Black, like you like it Harvey."

Harvey smiled sheepishly in a way that was almost a wince and took the cup in one hand while standing and making to get his "tools" from the desk. It was time to go see Lilly, his newest charge. She was his third assignment, the other two had died in action, although he couldn't say he was sad about it. Being around Lilly required a lot more care than the others, however, and more work.

He took a set of rosary beads from his middle drawer and tucked them in his blazer pocket, a small vial of holy water, and took his hand cannon out of the same drawer: a .44 magnum which he checked to ensure was loaded before stuffing into his shoulder rig. With a sip of coffee, he was out the door to the small office alcove where his desk was and towards the containment cells.

He stopped at Lilith's, which was flanked by two guards, and finished the cup of coffee, placing the mug on a nearby shelf for someone to pick up later.

"Alright boys, you know the drill." He muttered and watched as the taller guard put in his access code and opened the door. Harvey took the rosary beads from his pocket and began to mutter a Hail Mary under his breath as he walked into the cell. The door shut behind him.

Mary let out a groan as she cracked her back, straitening up she did a quick check to make sure her hair was at least somewhat presentable, it wouldn't do to see Emma looking anything less than adorable. She sighed, her orders had been clear that she was to look presentable at all times something easy to write on paper but almost impossible to pull off. Deciding she looked as good as she was going to be for the day she downed her coffee and threw away the cup, after going through security she looked around the enclosure for her charge and smiled when she saw her. "Good morning Emma."

Emma sat in the center of her containment area, her tail wrapped in many coils underneath her as her upper body laid across the top of the tail-pile. In the short time she'd been awake she'd already been internally grumbling to herself about her situation. Who do these Humans think they are, anyway? Didn't they know who she was? She was a Lamia. She was superior to these people!

So why hasn't she torn them all limb from limb yet?! Something like that should be an exceedingly simple task for her, yet she hadn't done it yet. Why?!

The answer to her question soon walked through the door, and Emma perked up and sat upright in her coil pile as Mary approached "Ah, good morning, Alby." She greeted the girl, all of her complaints retreating to the back of her mind. If she was honest, Mary was the reason any of these Humans were still alive. She'd managed to convince the Lamia to, at the very least, leave them alone and let them do what they needed to. That didn't mean she had to like it, but if it meant more time with someone as cute as her, Emma could tolerate it.

With luke warm coffee in one hand and three journals under his other arm, Mason made his way through the narrow hallway. He hadn't gone to bed until early this morning and he was already on his fourth cup of coffee. He stumbled into his office, almost dropping his notes in the process. Mason sat down at his messy desk; notebooks, obscure articles, and vague photographs skewed about the place. All of them pertaining to some occult or supernatural entity he was interested in or had discovered. A semi-burnt hat lay in the corner. Mason gave the room a fond smile before sitting down.

He sighed as he flopped his journals down on the table and prepared to greet his charge. They had just recently been assigned to one another and he had a list of questions that he wanted to ask her. Now, if only he could find them. He had a bad habit of being disorganized.

Mason took a swig of coffee, before rummaging around to find Mithara's files. After digging around his coffee-splattered papers, he finally found the brown manila folder he was looking for. Grabbing it, he began to set off for Mithara's room. After walking for a few minutes, he finally reached the charges' ward. Stopping in front of her door, he gave a polite knock and waited for a response. LegoLad659 LegoLad659

Mithara had been sitting on one of the many flowers in her brightly-lit containment room, eyes closed and her hands on her lap. Mainly she was getting a feel for the magical energies surrounding the area, and... Worryingly, they were all over the place. Granted, this was a place that prided itself on its research of supernatural entities, but even despite that something felt off. She couldn't quite put her finger on it.

Before she could figure it out, though, she heard a knock on the door. Snapping out of her trance, she took to the air and flew over to the door "I'm awake." She told whoever it was on the other side.

Mary smiled at the lambia, she was fully aware that the other was capable of ripping her to shreds with little to no effort. Luckily the other had seemed to take well with her and she remained fully intact, "how did you sleep?" Mary herself couldn't sleep last night, thoughts had been busing around her head to loudly but there was little reason to tell Emma this. "Breakfast is coming out soon, you hungry?" Mary had never been the best at small talk, after all her profession used to consist of point blank questions and finding out answers through other means.

LegoLad659 LegoLad659

Mason opened the door and poked his head in upon hearing her reply. "Hello," he said brightly, "How's my favourite charge doing this morning?" He walked in and closed the door behind him, keeping the folder under his arm in the process. Mason elected to keep standing, still unsure about the stability of flowers being used for sitting. Mithara was the first of her kind that he had met and he was unsure of her customs and traditions. Still being recently assigned to one another, he had decided to go easy on her with his questions. His first charge from so many years ago almost ripped his head off because he asked too many questions in rapid succession.

"Is there anything you need right now? Or that should be aware of? I want to ensure that you're as comfortable as possible before we start today." Mason had a list of activities lined up and he didn't want to exhaust or agitate her before they began.

Emma nodded in response "Yeah, I am." She answered, before mumbling to herself "With how little you feed me, of course I would be..." She wasn't used to eating portions of food that were apparently normal for Humans. She usually ate animals. Whole, even. She was used to eating once every three or four days or so, but here she kept getting hungry all the time. It was aggravating. She had no idea how Humans put up with it.

"And I slept fairly well." She continued "Not as well as I would've liked, considering... But well enough."

Mithara, upon the door opening, flew back over to sit back down on the flower, looking up at Mason "I've been examining the magical energies in this structure." She explained "They're difficult to wrap my mind around, to say the least... But other than that, I've had no troubles in my stay here so far." She told him, crossing her legs "How about you?"

Unlike her other coworkers that preferred to start their day off with a boring and average cup of joe, Adalia knows that the only way to be full prepared for the day is two shots of Bärenjäger Honey and Pear. It left her body warm and the slight burn made sure that she was fully awake and ready to get on with her day. She had begun to get in her into her military styled work uniform and began the trek to her office. As she walked through the halls, Adalia absentmindedly cracked her whip against the small windows that allowed the creatures look out through. A giggle escaped as she saw the fear passed through their eyes as they recognized her by her menacing scar and eyes that seemed more beast-like than humans. She laughed to herself as she remembered how some of the scientists wanted to test her DNA for any traces of supernatural blood because of wild behavior and unusual eye color.

Once Adalia had finally made it to her office, she admired her trophies that were plastered against the crimson walls that were lined in a black border. The heads of a 30 point buck, a unicorn, a jackalope, a basilisk, and more wee scattered throughout. She lovingly ran her eyes over all of them before looking through her emails with a bored expression until she read one that requested that she go to check on Pepe. Pepe wouldn't have been her first choice of a partner but the higher ups realized that Adalia was less likely to kill this one like she had done previously with her disobedient partners. In her defense, they were warned of the consequences and danger of being her partner. "I guess it's time for me to go and do my rounds now," she sighed as she left the comfort of her office and made her way to Pepe's room. Adalia gave a solid knock on the door before bursting into the room with a grin on her face, "Morning mein haustier (my pet)!"

  • Ane (Aka Deerie)
Ane had been sleeping on the grass she had, there was nothing like the feel of the grass beneath her fur. She closed her eyes and let out a yawn as she kept herself cozy, but soon she heard the voice of Jason. She had not been here dreadfully long, but Jason was the only one she had taken a liking to. Ane could speak, but she was not unaccustomed to speaking in a langue that her charge could understand. She nuzzled herself against him, giving a soft smile, they did teach her a few words that were important. “Food….Food….”

Lilith was siting in a cell too small for her who owned a vast swamp all for herself, chewing her nail angrily. She stopped and looked at the slammer as started being opened. A man in late of his thirties entered. "Oh, look who is here... our hero, who has done a grate job arresting a poor woman who was about to show him some love and affection." She said loudly sarcastically then tilted her head and looked up at him innocently. "Why are you here for? Down in the underground isn't a nice place for heroes... maybe..." She smiled mockingly and held a perfect carved blue leg up, out of coverage of her long rob and placed in on the bed as leaned on her arm. "Has he come to receive his prize? You where about to have something amazing at my home but your sense of duty ruined it... but now... who can stop you? You have done your job, you've done it well, so why can't you rest a moment and rip the fruit?" She asked as smiled sweetly. "I know boy, I know... you're all goody and clean... but you were there, at my home, but why? To get me? You have not gotten me yet boy! Come and get me now~" She whispered her last sentences and rolled on her back a little, still half sat. "No one will know... why should we tell anyone when both of us are eager? It's a win win deal... I can see in your face... I can see how lonely you are... I'm lonely too..." She sighed sadly and looked away. "A man came to me and I thought I won't be alone any more... but look at me now; jailed under round... away from my dear lands shining under moonlight..." She lamented as rubbed her hand on her round knee.

The curled blanket on the bed moved as the door of Pepe's room was snapped opened. "I like that language with that voice!" Pepe said from beneath the blanket and climed down the bed without letting its cover fall off. Like a ghost under the blanket, it approached its guest and stood in front of her. It was a little taller than her. "So are we finally going out? I was sooooo bored." It said happily with the same voice as Adalia. Meanwhile its height dropped to the same level as its handler. The blanket moved back a slightly to show one bright eye shining in the shadow. "Oh dear... I like this face!" It said and finally dropped the cover. Soft and happy Adalia stood face to face with wild Adalia. The new one even had the same wipe in her hand. "Hello my friend! my name is Pepe... I've chosen it myself; with PEopl - like PEople! That's me~" She grinned enthusiastically. "What's your name? I'm glad you are so pretty... I love to be pretty... people like me more like that... I like people... I love chocolate too... do you have any with you? Pepe is hungry! I've had nothing since yesterday... let's go out and have something together first... you are here for a job, right? What's that job? My last job was for Lilith... she hates me now but that doesn't matter because she is not people!" Adalia-Pepe kept talking rapidly without taking breath. "Your eyes are unique... I've got wonderful eyes, yay~" she had completely adopted the role of young girl but she didn't know Adalia wasn't the girl she expected.

Adalia stood still as the thing called Pepe changed into her and continue to fire off multiple compliments mixed with questions. Her head tilted curiously to right as she examined Pepe and studied how her own face. It was definitely her own face but it didn't give off the same feeling that she exudes. Pepe was overly peppy, cheerful, and its eyes were full of childish innocence. Adalia let out a low whistle in admiration of her form due to her sliver of narcissism as she thought to herself, 'I'm a lot cuter in person than I originally thought.' A sadistic grin broke out across her face and showed her lightly pointed canines as she realized that Pepe would need to be...broken in to fit with Adalia.

Once her imitation had finished rambling, she placed her index finger underneath its chin and forcefully held it so that Pepe would only be focusing on Adalia's eye that were calculating and wild with interest. "I'll accept all of your compliments kopieren (copy), but now it's time to be quiet and learn to listen. I'll go a little easier on you because I'd hate to mar up mein face too much. From now own, you are mine and will act accordingly. You will be free to handle these missions in any way you see fit but I will not hesitate to put you in your place if you get in my way." Adalia's voice remained commanding and the grin never left her face. "As long as you know your place on ze food chain, we'll get along just fine mein haustier," Adalia raised her left hand to lightly stroke Pepe's cheek as if she meant to comfort Pepe in some way.

'So close... I wanna hug her... her body... my body...' Adalia-Pepe thought and shivered in excitement as Adalia took her by chin which she thought was pointless as they were standing eye to eye anyway. She listened well as the main girl spoke. That speech couldn't hurt her at all as real Pepe was one of saddest things ever, but made her surprise showing her how faces could be misleading. She smiled cutely as the main touched her cheek and did exactly the same thing like a mirror; she stroke Adalia's cheek and said: "I see, you don't like talkative people." Her voice was soft and calm. Adalia-Pepe let her hand drop and looked at main's whip then her own fake but effective whip. "Pepe always talks to people face to face." She meaningfully smiled at her thinking that that girl could belong to her. She was thinking of owning Adalia's life if possible which she was not allowed to. "I'm your mirror. If you love yourself then you will love me. And I can see in your eyes that you love yourself so I have no complain about working with you your way. After all it's your face, your body, your missions and your... life. Live it your own way and I'll follow. Would you please give me your name first?" She explained humbly. If Adalia was smart enough she wouldn't like hearing it as it was one doppelgangers way to still a life. Suddenly Adalia-Pepe sniffed the air. "I smell honey. You have had breakfast but have brought me nothing?! I want honey to!" She pouted with a slight frown.

Harvey stopped muttering the prayer, but held the beads up in front of his face for a moment before putting them around his neck and tucking them under his shirt collar. "Look sister, we both know how your love affairs end. I didn't want any part of that. Besides, I'm a married man."

He put his hands on his hips in an authoritative stance. "The guards brought you anything to eat? Sorry we don't serve human hearts here. Its not exactly a gourmage."

MJ ._. MJ ._.

"Oh, really?" Lilly asked and laughed loudly. "I'm not your sis. You're just a mere son of mud..." She spoke, belittling the man. "But..." She got up and walked around him, not being able to get too close. "I can't smell odor of a woman from you. No loving wife, maybe? You don't look like a man who has kissed his wife goodbye this morning... nor like a dude who has slept with some gal last night. there is no trace of a single hair strand on you... and no trace of joy in your eyes..." at this point she stopped in front of him and gazed in his eyes. "Don't come to me praying to your God, he doesn't like men like you." She told him seriously as if it wasn't a matter of seduction anymore. "You are nothing more than a sad lonely soul... maybe and empty shell of the past? Has your wife left you? Taking your children away? I love that sort of wives... they send easy me preys to hunt... middle aged men with broken hearts..." She burst to laughter madly. A moment later she took a deep breath and calmed down, pushing aside her serious side. She sat on the edge of the bed and relaxed. "Be honest with yourself; when was the last time you let yourself enjoy your life? Who are you wasting your life for? Maybe I've killed those who gave them joy but they just payed the price. I can give you the ultimate happiness for one night. I'm Lilith, the one and only. Then how do you expect my price to be less than life of a lost hopeless man. Living without love is worst than death. I give them one night of love and then give them death. See? They leave this world in the happiest moment of their lives." She explained softly then started gathering her hair on one of her shoulders to reveal her fine delicate neck. "Anyway, your case is different." She said playfully. "I'm your captive now and if I kill you they won't let me to leave or maybe survive... but I'm generous enough to invite you to the party. Don't you want to taste the joy men have died for while you are the only one who can survive?" She asked and winked naughtily at the stoic man.
Shireling Shireling

Harvey rolled his eyes. "I don't have time for bullshit today, Lil, so put a lid on it. I'm supposed to make sure you're fed so you don't die in captivity. The Overseer is breathing down my neck to classify you Level 5 and be done with it, lock you up and throw away the key." The more he thought of it the more it seemed a good idea.

"So I'll ask you again, eaten anything?"

Harvey's mind flashed over a conversation he had with a man in the Research department the other day concerning her diet. "If it's souls she's after," the man said, "we'll need live food or she'll die in captivity. I might recommend prostitutes. They're cheap and usually not missed." Harvey had dismissed the idea, a little bit of his protector-archetype shining through from his police days. It was on the docket for today to figure out what exactly he could use to slake his charge's hunger without having to resort to such measures.

Harvey made the sign of the cross then sat down in a metal chair near a shelf that had been recessed into the wall. He collected a digital recorder from here, held it so as to conceal it from Lilith while he hit the record button and put it in his front right coat pocket to pick up any key information that might pass in the conversation.

MJ ._. MJ ._.

"Bullshit is your face!" Lilly said aggressively and stuck her tongue out mockingly. "You just have no answer to defend yourself because whatever I told you was true." She spoke confidently and looked away from him. She clenched her fists as he told her higher ups wanted to get rid of her sooner. That only meant she had to escape quickly and her only way was using Harvey.
"So I'll ask you again, eaten anything?" He asked.
Lilly shook her head. "So... I've to cooperate with you or will imprisoned forever? Does it mean that if I answer your question you'll let me leave?" She asked in a low and more docile tone. Her fingers were still playing in her long wavy hair. "I know you hate but... I had never left my swamp... I never went hunting people like you do. They just came to me..." Her tone went down till it was nothing more than whisper. She inhaled deeply and looked up at him. "What do you want from me? You don't need to feed me... just say it. I'll give it to you if you let me go." She approached closer to his sit and sat on her knees. "Please, tell them... convince them that I'll do whatever they ask me to... just set me free. I need to go back to my swamp. I can't live here... it's like torture to me... please..." She was pleading him for her freedom with all she got.
Shireling Shireling

Harvey's face flickered over with just a bit of sympathy, but then turned cold again and locked into that rigid, marble expression of apathy.

"You're not leaving. This Organization's mission is to protect people, both from the very real threats that things like you pose to the population and the panic that would ensue if we disclosed the truth. I can't, in good conscience, let you leave to haunt the fields and swamps of [redacted] and lead men, be they good or bad, to their graves. But," he paused, "if you cooperate there is something in it for you. Perhaps amenities for this cell, creature comforts, time outside; escorted of course."

He leaned back, making sure that his gun was quite visible in it's holster. The large revolver, too, was adorned with religious symbolism. On one side of the handle was Mary and infant Jesus, on the other was Jesus at the crucifixion being stabbed by a Roman soldier's spear. The outside of the barrel bore the inscription, "pater filius et spiritus sanctus."

MJ ._. MJ ._.

Lilith averted her eyes from Harvey as noticed he was scared of her and was trying to show off his so called effective weapons. She could bet that most men even didn't know the reason behind the efficiency of those symbols. He went back to her bed and rested her back against the bed board as hugged her pillow and pressed her face on it. She was so frustrated that wanted to scream like a banshee but held it back and rolled her head to face her handler. "Time outside, huh? I guess that's all I afford..." She sighed sadly. "How many hours a day may it be? And where is this outside? Anything like my home?" She asked and tossed the pillow to the rear of bed with annoyance. "Go ahead, ask your questions. You bastards have already tied my hands." She snapped, glaring at her knees as didn't want to meet Harvey's eyes whit her raging red eye. When she was in such a damned bad mood they looked more like a demon. "By the way, I can't eat in the cell so don't bother to bring anything in... unless you are ready to give me a kiss first." She said but didn't sound flirty at all.
Shireling Shireling

"Well what do you eat? And if you don't eat, do you suffer adverse effects?" He asked, leaning forward like a newspaper reporter doing an interview.

With the rosary beads affording him mental clarity around her that he would otherwise not have, he studied her closely. Her body was crafted for one purpose, that being the act she thrived upon. She looked athletic, and had all the hallmarks of an attractive woman's body. But she wasn't exactly what he would call pretty. The blue skin not withstanding, the features of her face seemed cruel and unnatural. She seemed to him a machine built for screwing and killing, nothing more. He shuddered a bit, almost imperceptibly, at the thought of sharing a bed with such a creature, yet at the same time his more base and barbaric impulses considered her offer. He was able to lock that ancient voice in a mental box and slide it to the side.

MJ ._. MJ ._.

Lilly who had given up on defying Harvey nodded in depression. "Right now I'm suffering from thirst. And when I'm thirsty it's hard to eat. I bet you understand it well." She replied in monotone. "Look at me... I'm so weak that have already begged my freedom from a pathetic man..." She answered his question and covered her face with her hand. Suddenly, the Lilith felt a sudden vibration in human's body. She looked at him curiously. "What are you looking at?" She asked doubtfully then smiled as realized a bit from reading his face. "So, after all the enchanting and blessing you are man after all, huh?" She asked softly and laughed in a low sweet tone. "You know what? I kind of like you! I don't know why you have such a lonely face but you shouldn't be slightest like my usual preys." She said more lively and changed her position to sit on the edge of the bed. "You may not believe it but my heart wants to help you while my brain declines. So... if you give me a reason to convince my brain then I'll help you out in your research." She offered the deal and sat straight with a convincing smile. "Boy, you know nothing. You are even asking wrong questions." She implied and grinned which revealed her sharp teeth.
Shireling Shireling

"Alright." Harvey said, silently kicking himself for being so easy to read. Then again, supernatural creatures tended to have supernatural abilities of perception so there wasn't much he could do anyways.

"I'll cut you a deal. I will ask the higher ups about taking you back to that foggy bottom of yours, but you have to tell me everything I might need to know about you, your kind, the threat you pose to human society, your strengths and weaknesses that we haven't already discovered. And if I discover that one iota of the details that you give me is false, I will lock you in H Level and throw away the key."

Harvey crossed his arms and waited for her to speak.

MJ ._. MJ ._.

"Wow! Halt your horse, boy!" Lilly said as laughed at Harvey's excitement. "I can't tell you everything while you are going to only tell them." She said and observed him for a moment. "But I should prize your effort. Let me see... I'll answer your questions and give you some guidance, happy with that?" She asked then folded her hands just like him and looked up thinking before looking back at her handler. "As for your first question; there is nothing as my kind." She said then paused hesitantly. "It's my secret... God knows what will happen if I reveal it... " She suddenly laughed madly. "It's human's world... who cares what happens?!" She calmed herself down and continued. "When I die, another Lilith will be born somewhere else in this world. And she won't be a child but a young woman getting up from clod dead waters of swamp... I've never been a child and will never get old." She explained about his first important question. "Well, you got something valuable today, didn't you? Now it's time for the tip I promised you." She sled closer to the man to smile at him naughtily. "When you were looking at me, I felt some detest in your body reactions. Can you tell me what bothers your about my looks? Or in other words... how do you see me?" She asked curiously.
