Zahira
———————-
She nearly choked on air when she heard his comment on repopulation.”Dude, you really wanna bring a child into this world?”She asked, eyes widened in bewilderment.

Not that the topic hadn’t raised its head in her mind before, but most of the time it presented itself as a nightmare. Could you imagine? Sure Haven was safe for now but what if those creatures somehow got in? Or the walls got over taken, or , God forbid, the Rovers were all killed on a mission? Zahira didn’t think she could handle the pressure of protecting a helpless child in a world that’s gone to hell.

Now, on the other hand, she wasn’t against the baby making part minus the baby. She wouldn’t mind a little rebel rousing with Gerell, especially since she had tons of pent up emotions she wanted to pound out too. The thought caused her cheeks to flush and erased any and all thoughts of repopulation and dead babies out of her mind.

“Never mind that, let’s just, uh, g-get going.”She stammered embarassedly.”Race you there!”Zahira took off in the direction of the training grounds, leaving Gerell in her dust.

Brandon Ridges

“I’m…sure you have don’t worry it isn’t bad…well, I don’t think it’ll be anyway. It honestly uhhh…depends on how you react to it all I guess. I guess it is just a lot of explaining I have to do.” He chuckled a bit nervously hoping she didn’t catch a hint of what he meant. He wasn’t at all ready for her response, tonight would definitely be the best time to try and prepare himself to get shut down by Tempest. All these years hahaha just to get shut down by your life long crush who never even liked you back in that sorta way, to begin with. Brandon listened as Tempest changed the subject trying to get to know Mae a bit more, he was pretty curious himself about her story or just anything about her, all he knew was that she was pretty damn helpful around here but she never really talked to anyone in Rover squad.

Brandon waited for her to respond but wasn’t sure if she actually would so Brandon decided to try and change the subject himself. “Hey Tempest, do you think we should go for a briefing of the mission or go train for a bit before we have to go?” He suggested. A bit of nervousness could still be seen in his expression from thinking about how to possibly tell Tempest his feelings, he dreaded even thinking about how badly he would crash and burn at the words after his confession. “Hey…funny question by the way…have you ever thought about me as more than a friend? Just a question…read some stuff in a book and it was on uhhh…about some of the best ways to grow a healthy…soul connecting friendship.” She could totally tell he was pulling lies from his ass, but he was trying his hardest not to make it too obvious.

Gerell Houston

He jumped up not expecting her comment to be so hostile, she was kinda right to think the way that she did. “Well…I mean as much as bringing a child in could create problems…I feel like the world needs to work on rebuilding the population a bit too ya know? Wouldn’t want us to go completely extinct or anything…besides kinda been waiting and thinking about uhhh…pounding your brains out for quite some time now.” He scratched the back of his neck nervously. She seemed to want to do the same thing, at least based on her reaction it seemed that way, she always stuttered when she was embarrassed or thinking lewdly, he heard it all the time when she talked about Zac Efron. Before he could speak again she ran off and he followed after deciding to take her awkward offer for a race. Gerell ran close by her before parting ways and parkour through the buildings and eventually making it to the training grounds. “Hah, finally that practice for a quicker route worked on you. You beat me way too much on these runs but still can’t beat me in shooting drills.” He smirked. “Hmm actually…you are always up for a challenge, how about we do another shooting drill and if I beat you we get to uhh…ya know…” He signaled his finger going through a hole made with his other hand.

Mae Wayne
Mae nodded at the idea of group study. She never considered the fact that others could have a better grasp of certain course material. That would be extremely helpful. The same was with their team. She knew how to track, Brandon had his skills in technology, and others had medical skills. It was important to have people with different abilities around you. It made sense. "I see," She told them. Then they invited her to spend time with them.

That was a very nice gesture, but she wasn't sure. It wasn't that she didn't appreciate the invitation. Mae really did. She just knew how close Tempest and Brandon were with each other. She might feel like the odd person out. They had jokes and stories only they knew. They knew what they liked and what they didn't. Mae didn't know anything about them really. She wasn't exactly good at telling others those things about herself either. But she should push herself to do it anyways. She should try to make better friends. "That would be nice. I don't know a whole lot of book stuff. I didn't exactly have a lot of education," She told the two.

Brandon made sure she knew that tonight was different. His tone was off, odd. It was hard for her to understand ques of any sort. He had some plan, but it wasn't apparent to her. "No problem, you guys enjoy yourselves," At that she thought the conversation was over. But it wasn't.

Tempest asked her what things she liked. She was slightly taken aback by the bland, vanilla question. She shouldn't be confused about such a normal question, yet she was. What did Mae like? Killing Stalkers. Yes. But she didn't want to sound like a heartless psycho. "My favorite color is green," She tried weakly. Mae had a feeling that wasn't exactly what Tempest was getting at. "I also really enjoy a simple sunrise. People always awe over a sunset, because they are awake to see it. A sunrise is a fresh start to the new day. When the birds begin to sing, it's just so peaceful. Even with the apocalypse, it's something I enjoy," She told her. "What about you two?" Mae flipped the question around.

Brandon then asked if they should go and train or get information. Mae took a second and then nodded. "I think Gale already got the briefing. If we go train with her, we can just kill two birds with one stone," She told him. "But whatever is fine."

Then Brandon asked Tempest if she thought of him as a friend. Even she was wise enough to know this could get awkward really fast. This almost felt like an inappropriate conversation for her to be involved in. Now she understood what he probably wanted to tell her. Mae took a breath and let a very quiet, but uncomfortable, sigh out of her nose. Instead of getting up and making some excuse like she was throwing away her food or something, Mae just sat there with a blank expression and fiddled with her silverware.
