I just made my character and I thought I'd try getting the relationships down. So, my character is a short, quirky, awkward Asian Rover/Supply Runner for Haven. He makes a fool of himself easily and is a little cowardly but can easily be convinced to be brave.

I just want to know what you're character's relationship would be with mine.

Good question. Any relationships are open, and as for Rovers I was planning on having each of them be close. We’d be on missions together, living close to each other, and often working as a unit anywhere outside of our jobs. We would be familiar with each other (unless you would like to have your character be newer, in which case we would get to know you).

He's not new per se, but he hasn't been a Rover as long as everyone else, as shown by his lack in confidence, cowardice, and inability to manage stress.

How long exactly have the Rovers been in action?
About how long has it been since the colony was formed?
Is there like a rations/quartermaster thing going or do people just get what they need when they need it?
Is there a sort of central armory or does everyone take care of their own gear?
Are there rules for what is scavenged? Like is there a certain amount of what is found that has to be donated or is it scav's discretion?

I love I Am Legend and this seems like a good opportunity. I got excited as soon as I started reading about this. Hope it goes well and nobody dies or anything. *cough* dog *cough*

Haven was formed about a month after the Core broke out, as mostly residents form Edina and other surrounding areas flocked there. It is the largest *known* settlement of humans in the US, as the virus was hot around the country. They do not have contact with the outside world (yet wink wink). There are rations, often every person gets three meals a day, and whatever snacks or small treats you can find, you can keep, though there are limits to exactly how much food you can hoard. The system of Haven is built upon a council and a governor. They make the big decisions, whether it be moving places or lowering rations.

There is a small police force, often made up of Rovers as well since as protectors and providers they are the most looked up to. Only Rovers and the most trusted police keep firearms on them at all times, though every family is issued two guns/weapons of their choice in case of attack. There is an armory, heavily guarded under lock and key as well as actual guards. As for crime, most all laws apply, but each broken law is strictly punished. Such as hoarding more food than absolutely needed is punishable by imprisonment.

The Rovers were formed by the governor (I’m fleshing that dude out, he will probably be played by me.) and are built with no real ranks involved. They are structured on equality and the usage of each person’s skills. They were put into place around three months after the Core turned virus, though they really fleshed out a bit later.

Cooks and the governor often decide what will be given out. For the most part scavenger items can be kept, besides weapons and food. Clothes are a free for all, but it is strictly policed if scuffles break out.

Cool. Your character sounds pretty interesting as well. Their friendship would be interesting too, cause Jin's a non-confident coward, and your's is, as described by you, cocky and "idiotically brave". I like polar opposite friendships.

In other words, yeah, sounds good.
