Red sighed as she climbed into her red Toyota Matrix. Her mother waved at her from the front porch, but she pretended not to see. Ever since her mother had told her it would be best if she didn’t come back home after the summer, Red had been avoiding her like the plague. At least her grandmother lived right outside town; otherwise, she’d have to change schools, and she really didn’t feel like putting in that effort.
The drive started out simple, as Red jammed to angry-sounding songs to make herself think of anything but her mother. At least she had a bakery to look forward to after this stupid drive. Baking was probably the only thing that could make her feel better about her sudden move to her grandmother’s house and a drastic change in her life.
She wasn’t sure why it happened, but suddenly she was being tailed on a back road by a convertible full of rambunctious boys. Rolling her eyes, she was fully set on ignoring them, until one of them jumped out of their vehicle and onto the roof of her own car. With a shout of surprise, she pulled over to the side of the road.
With a growl under her breath, Red opened the door of her, ready to scream her head off at these idiots. “Why the hell would you—“
Before she could finish, someone knocked her out.

When Red woke up, one of the boys in the car that had been tailing her was carrying her. She tried to wiggle out of his grasp, but she was unfortunately tied up, which definitely put a damper on things. Her mouth was also duct-taped shut, which made it hard to scream for help.
She took a moment to look around. It looked like she was in some abandoned warehouse or something. There was some pretty decent furniture around, though some of the sofas looked ripped up, which was… disturbing. As for where this guy and his hooligan friends were taking her… she had no idea.
The guy carrying her kicked open a door and dumped her onto the ground. She let out an indignant muffle that the tape blocked. The guy ignored her and announced, “Hey, Alpha, we brought you a girl. Think she’d make a good Alpha for ya?”
Red looked up and widened her eyes.
