Recruitment Tool

Lady Warlock

Anime RN
Hi there!

There used to be a way to generate a list of people who were looking to join rps and that list could be used to figure out people to PM about interest in rps. It was a method of recruitment. Does that still exist? I can't find it and it was a very helpful tool the last time I used it.

Those lists have been separated by category and are now Interest Check subforums in each RP section. For example, if you're looking for Fantasy RP, the recruitment threads will be in the Fantasy Interest Checks under the Fantasy section.

I am not looking for the interest checks. There used to be a tool that one could select the genre and whether it was simple, casual or detailed and then the tool would generate a list of active members seeking that kind of rp.

Heya. Athena is actually talking about the "Find A Role Player" tool. The one where the RP preferences are put into a list and you can pick and choose who to contact based off what they like.

YES! That is what I'm talking about. I can't find it anymore, though. Any ideas where it went, or does it not exist anymore?

I haven't been able to find it either =/. It used to be under Quick Links, but when those were removed, I guess it was too. It might have been part of the old preference system, cause ever since this new one came, my eyes never fell on it

That system was really terrible to load and it never really worked out. The best thing we have right nownisnthose who have a game and those looking to use interest checks.

You don't need to propose a game. You can just post that you are looking for partners.

The renements of that broken system were fashioned into the RP preferences you see under everyone's avatar.

So the tool does not exist anymore... that's not what I was hoping for, but ok. Thanks for the answer!

It will return in the future better. The tool was limited and broken (often took 5+ mins) to load the page. When you did get the list it was an alphabetical list of thousands of users that never moved dynamic or displayed names to you in any meaningful way.

Via such a system you meeting me or vice versa would be very slim because it doesn't suggest names or brig them up. Users in the thousands did not set themselves to not looking for RP to unclog it.

It was almost never used to any great effect.
