"Bye mom! Bye dad! See you later! Taking Rue out for lunch!" Braxton called out as he exited his house in a rush, his skateboard in one hand while holding his cellphone in the other. Meet Braxton, one of the reckless males in his high school. This guy is like a daredevil. He never puts down a challenge and...well he's reckless.
As the young male exited his home, he flipped onto his skateboard and skated toward his lover's house with a big grin. He had a goal in his mind: He was going to convince Rue to come boating with him. Summer has started, and it has been two years (surprisingly) since Rue and Braxton had started dating. And during those two years, he took it easy for his love. After all, he didn't want to scare her away.
But two years is long enough.
It was time for her to try something out, just for him~
As he reached the house he has been too many times, he flipped his skateboard into the air and easily grabbed it, tucking it under his armpit as he knocked,"Ruuuuuuuuuuue~!" he called out obnoixously.
Rue had put some clothes on, a white lace dress with white slip on shoes. She brushed out her wavy brown hair and let it sit on her waist. She attached a small ribbon. Recently, she had been going out with a guy, she had never been in a relationship with anyone until now. He was sweet and all but he truly was a daredevil and wouldn't hesitate to try thing out.
She found it rather scary, but she went along with whatever he said because apparently she knew what he was doing.
Quickly, she places her hair brush down as she heard a knock on her door and a familiar voice calling her name. He was here to see her, she smiles gently and then opens her front door.
Grinning as he saw his beautiful girlfriend, he quickly scooped her up in an embrace and kissed her temple. "Heyo~" he greeted. Taking her hand, he gave a quick kiss on it, "How are you, babe?" he asked with a small wink.
Braxton flipped his skateboard on the ground and used his feet to keep in place, "Where do you wanna go out to eat?" he asked with a big grin. "Your treat~" he hummed.
If he satisfy her today, he wouldn't have any problem convincing her to go boating with him, right? He could use the fact that he always treats her out to dinner against her, as rude as it sounds. But this guy was desprate. He wants to spend his last summer before college with her, as two reckless teenagers. Though, he remembered he can't push her too hard.
Rue smiles and leans on her tip toes to kiss his nose lightly. She held onto his hand lightly. "I don't know.... I quite like the sound of that Japanese restaurant that sells the different types of Sushi's" She says with a soft giggle, she really liked Sushi and Japanese foods, she found it exceptionally tasty. She was worried about what was going to happen that day. What did he have planned for her this time? Maybe he'd request to throw her off a building or go skydiving.
She shook her head, and tried to act calm. Everything was going to be fine, he wouldn't make her do anything she didn't want, right? She nods to herself lightly.
"You and your Japanese food," Braxton teased lightly as he skated off Rue's lawn, his girl following close behind with their hands still laced. He went slow for her, as he thought for a moment, "Yeah sure. Sushi sounds good anyways," he smiled. When he saw her nod, he laughed. "What are you thinking of, babe? Hopefully me," he grinned as he winked at Rue.
Rue giggles softly, still holding onto his hand. Her smile soon drops as she heard the 'anyways'. She knew whenever he said anyways he was going to ask her to do something, it always started with an anyways. She bit her lip softly but nodded lightly, wondering what on earth he was going to say. "What is it?" She asks softly.
"Do you want to go boating with my family and I this upcoming next weekend?" he asked in a quickly. However, when he saw her facial expression falling, he bit his lower, "Unless you don't want to..." he started, his tone dripping in disappointment. He sighed. Trying to convince his girlfriend to do something extreme is gonna be hard.
And boating isn't that extreme, right? They weren't gonna like do crazy things; just a simple boat adventure for a week or so. A camping trip.
Rue bit her lip and shrugged lightly, looking down. "I'm.... I'm not sure. You know I'm not good with water and you know" She says. She hasn't learnt how to swim and always had a constant fear of drowning, even if the water was shallow.
"Hey babe, don't worry. I'll be there to save you if anything happens," Brax stopped as he smiled, leaning over and kisses her cheek. "It's just for the weekend. My family loves you, so that won't be a problem. I promise, it'll be fun," he smiled, his grip on her hand tightening.
It didn't take the two to reach the restaurant they discussed earlier. Brax ordered a table for two as he kept a keen eye on his skateboard that he placed outside to be polite. He slid one of the chairs out for Rue, before settling down across her. "Babe, please? We never had the chance to do such a thing," he pleaded.
Rue shrugs lightly as she pushes open the suishi shop and was exposed to many scents of vegetables and fish. "I'll think about it...." She says gently to him.
She goes over to a shelf with different types of sushi's and smiles. "But let's eat! There's so much to choose from here!" She says cheerfully, swiftly changing the subject.
With a sigh, Braxton went along with the subject change as he looked through the menu.
Mission failed.
As he was looking through the menu, his eyes kept glancing up to his girlfriend, and when they would make eye contact, he practically shout 'go out with me'...kinda the same routine he went through to muster up the courage to ask the sweet innocence girl out. He didn't want to push her, nor does he want to force her...but this event is special to him. Boating with his family is a tradition, and Rue is considered family, right?
After all, the redhead went all the way to thinking about proposing to her after their senior years. Was it too early...?
