- Appearance
Height: 5'9", may deviate a few inches
Weight: 5 nanograms, clothing included: 3 kg
Hair: Black and grey, deviates constantly. It is shaped to resemble a samurai ponytail. She has displayed the ability to change her hairstyle on a whim. Her human form had twin pigtails.
Eyes: None. Her human form had green eyes.
Body: Deviates. Its default form has a rather slim, almost skeletal, physique.
Attire: She wears anything, really, as long as it can hold her body, and allows her to perform daily tasks. She often inhabits gloves and such to perform tasks that require accuracy. Her default attire consists of a tattered sweater and baggy trousers . Her knives are attached to the belt of the trousers, sheathed behind her in an X.
Her actual human form has not been decided yet. She was supposed to develop her abilities in her debut to a point where she could take on a more human form, much to the probable joy of her not-her-boyfriend.
- Personality
Copy-pasted from original sheet
Rebecca, as a person/smoke thing, is relatively harmless, despite her obviously-evil speech style and appearance. As a matter of fact, it seems she relishes in speaking like so and deliberately tries to come off as foreboding and creepy as possible just to mess around with students and staff alike. She also shows shades of being a social gadfly, almost bordering on a troll. She enjoys lying through her teeth and making up farfetched stories to see the reactions of the other students, and often laughs her all-too-characteristic laugh when they fall for it. Even when they don't, she still laughs at them for having bought the story for that second. Another telltale sign that if it's an impersonator is that if she doesn't actively make fun of people she's paired up with or is stuck with. She shows a scary tendency to be able to pick out a person's 'weak spots' and always finds a way to screw with them, by CONSTANTLY reminding them of their horrible past or that they can't eat ice-cream or something. She always brushes her passive-aggressive behaviour off with a dismissive "I'm just messing with you. ".
She is a huge fan of weapon and armor design and smithing. Not that she can lift a hammer with her current form, but she seems to take on a bright-eyed child's behaviour when anything remotely related to weaponry is included.
Extra:
Rebecca, if she is indeed utilised some time down the future, will retain the gist of her original personality: a playful, mischieveous gadfly.
- History
Copy-pasted from Riverview Academy:
As a child and in her pre-teens, Rebecca still had a physical body, and was as much as a mischievous trickster then as she is now. No one can exactly say what her childhood was like, since it had its ups and downs like any other regular kid would have. A father that had to go overseas to work after being transferred out, and a mother that cared for her and chided her for the problems she caused at school, like setting off the fire alarm during a period she didn't especially like. It was pretty regular. Then she lost her body.
It wasn't particularly noticeable at first, but the symptoms began exhibiting themselves at her 11th year since her birth. Her exhalations were observed by her peers as smelling like carbon at first. Soon after that, her breath, especially from her mouth, appeared to resemble smog. Her speech became distorted, sounding hollow, and she found difficulty in creating words. Her hair went first, slowly turning into a trail of smoke from the tip of her pony-tail, then her entire head of hair, which then resembled an impenetrable black smoke. Her body deteriorated gradually, until she lost all form entirely, and when Rebecca finally woke up one day, 2 years after the first signs, without eyelids, she was nothing more than a floating mass of smoke particles with an out of place ponytail. There was much panic at first amongst her family members, with her mother worrying just how her daughter was going to stay indefinitely in her room like that, while her father wondered on the problems of puberty affecting a ball of smoke.
Their initial worry lessened (somewhat) when Rebecca found that she could project herself around a room, moving freely wherever she wanted, unburdened by things like gravity, but heavily restricted by wind. She later discovered she could take on a human-like form that seemed to resemble herself when she wasn't a smoke thing. By filling in clothes and a pair of gloves, Rebecca could perform human tasks. Of course, she loved every second of it. This meant new heights for her pranks. In order to keep the utility of a human body intact, Rebecca took to practicing knife tricks with her father's collection of blades. Having no physical body meant no actual harm done when her finger slipped. Her mother wasn't too pleased when she found what used to be her driving gloves in tatters, though.
Being made of smoke and living in an urban environment meant no privacy, especially for her neighbours, seeing that she could easily slip into their homes to give them a little gift called surprise. Her pranks went too far, eventually, and she was caught red handed trying to set fire to a bag of melted chocolate (or at least what she claims is melted chocolate). The reports of a smoke monster spread and Riverview Academy took notice of said 'monster'. Her parents, just about up to their necks with her behaviour, let her be dragged to Riverview without much complaint. Rebecca, herself, did not object. Really, it sounded even more fun to fool around with people that had abilities. More power meant more chaos, and more chaos meant more fun.
And that was the tale telling of how a smoke creature began tormenting students of Riverview started. Not that she'll admit to having such a nice life back then. Not that she'll admit to anything for that matter.
Comments:
Rebecca will most likely also keep the gist of her past. I deliberately made her story a bit mundane to juxtapose her more bizarre ability and power, and it probably won't change any time soon. I didn't know what I was implying when I wrote this, but it seems as if I subconsciously made it so that her insides liquefied first before her external effects.
- Equipment
Copy-pasted from Riverview Academy:
A pair of curved long knives. Rauch is highly proficient in their use.
Extra:
Well, it's clear from her image that her other notable features are her two knives.

Smoke Physiology and Control
Rebecca's physical form has been lost over the years, reducing her to nothing more than a thick smog that resembles a human form inhabiting a set of clothes and a mask. Along with this form, she was also granted the ability to control smoke, both hers and external sources. Her own 'body' is able to "infect" the air it comes in contact with to become part of her, allowing her to replenish lost parts of her body over a period of time.
Her ability and her form allows her to perform various numbers of tricks, placing her as deadly combatant in enclosed close-quarters combat, as it allows her to zip from one end of a room the other in a moment's notice. She can also disperse herself willingly to escape and reform elsewhere.
Her smoke, as a whole, can generate a forward pushing force of 550 Newtons.
Extra information:
I'm no science man, but I try my best. Rebecca's 'smoke' ability, when scrutinized, basically sums her up as a hive mind coming together as one. Her infected particles do not change in terms of composition, but are instead 'mind-controlled' in a way that they move in the way she wants them to. E.g. if an O2 molecule is infected, it keeps its O2 state. What changes is the colouration of the molecule, turning grey or black to resemble smoke. This further implies that people can actually breathe in her smoke without any lethal effect.
However, her control over both her molecules AND existing smoke particles means that she can force the air to move with enough force to rupture the oesophagus if she so wishes.
- Miscellanous Bullshit
1. Rebecca's debuting appearance has her tagged as a Barnesexual. However, she and Barnaby Yu (a character owned by another user) are not sexually involved, due to obvious reasons. She, however, was intended to have some mutual attraction with Barnes, and trusts him deeply. Their relationship to the main public tends to resemble a close friendship more than an actual relationship.
2. There's nothing for 2.. You can go away now.
