Fantasy Reasonably Romantic {Caffeine Freak & Believing Heart}

James looked at Lillian for a moment, then nodded. "Yeah... Let's get outta here." He steered them onto the longer quad path out of the building and not the hallway path that took them past LeBlanc's office. James hadn't quite cooked up an excuse yet.

After a while of walking, James glanced sidelong and Lillian. Walking her home like this might look a little strange to an outside viewer. "Hey, um- do you have a boyfriend?" The question sounded a little more subtle in his head, but James felt like he ought to know if there was going to be a dude who might get the wrong idea and start paying him visits.

“Heh… have you gone nuts today?” Lillian asked smirking. “I’m doubting if you’re actually an alien taking on James’s brain. Because the real James has seen all my friends who I bring home so he knows I’ve never been with a guy alone.” She answered then thought about his reasons for asking such a bold question. “The only guy who is always around our home is you. And it probably is going to be like that as long as we are sticking to our parents.” She added. She still didn’t want anything sentimental to be brought up since she had to meet his face almost every day. She knew when he was fine and when he was feeling unwell. Also, his mother had told a lot about him to her mother and she was sure that he had no idea how much she knew. On the other hand, she believed that he had heard her father yelling when he was upset with something. It rarely happened but still she wished no one could hear him.

James shook his head, self conscious. "Heh. yeah, just checking... I guess." He rubbed the back of his neck. While he knew Lillian well enough, James always suspected that one day she'd attract a guy, with her looks and bubbly personality it'd only be a matter of time. James on the other hand didn't speak to many girls, save Lillain - so it was practically hopeless for him unless-

He looked sidelong at Lillian again, then resoundingly shook the thought out of his head. "Thanks for walking back with me today, by the way. It's been... sort of a weird day" James glanced down at his hands.

“Jeez… you don’t need to thank me. You know, you’re like the brother I don’t have. I count on you!” Lillian spoke in a friendly way and reached out her right hand to shake with James. “The day isn’t over yet; you can turn it to a better day… I think. Besides, sometimes we need a break from our everyday life, right?” She asked. Obviously, she had taken his odd behaviors as a light joke.

"The brother you don't have, huh?" James returned his hand to shake hers. Something about her seeing him as a brother made him feel somewhat awkward, though he couldn't quite put his figure on why. "I think after today, I'm gonna need a break from life in general." James glanced around the street as they walked back. He still wondered if he was dreaming, and he'd wake up to his alarm on a normal monday morning where he didn't phase through cars, or turn invisible, or turn his classmates into Shakespearean characters.

Lillian used to walk keeping her head up and looking straight forward. She didn’t look at James as they spoke. “Don’t be so disappointed. Just sleep early and avoid playing video games and watching fantasy movies, then you’ll be fine.” She suggested. They had almost reached home.
(Do they live in apartments or suburb one story houses?)

(I don't suppose it matters too much, but suburb houses just have a more domestic feel)

James rolled his eyes. "Gee thanks for the advice." He playfully knocked her shoulder before diverting on the path that led back to his house.

Once inside, he unwittingly took Lillian's advice, and collapsed onto his bed. It'd been a long weird day, and James was in quite a hurry to wake up to a life not infused with the most confusing string of superpowers ever conceived.

Literature, math, social studies and music; Lillian reviewed sequence her classes of Monday before leaving home toward university. Like usual, she was going to meet her friend after the first junction so was leaving the house sooner than needed. Her bag was heavier than yesterday since she had to carry more books in addition to her flute. It wasn’t usual for her to play in class but she would bring it anyway just in case. Today too, she didn’t expect to meet James before class and the day before had been counted as an exception.

James woke up, thankfully not floating this time, but he did spend a good few minutes before uni trying to re-allign his door after it flew off its hinges when he reached for the handle. Eventually he just gave up, lent his door against the wall, and bolted - practically late already. Didn't seem like today was going to be any more normal than the previous one, he thought with an internal groan.

The same car he passed the day before, albeit slightly more dented, cruised past the walkway James took on the way to uni. He made sure to give it a wide berth.

Once again, his powers had inadvertently landed him at university early. For a reason he couldn't quite pin down, James decided to wait for Lillian. They had pretty much the same classes, and he found himself in need of company on a day that would likely take a turn for the weird.

Lillian saw her old friend while walking toward the main building with her friend Rose. She halted in surprise and smiled widely. “Hey hello! I can’t believe you’ve arrived before us.” She said teasingly. “Good morning…” Rose uttered bashfully. She wasn’t a shy or timid girl so her shy expression had Lillian suspect that she liked James. “I guess you already know my friend. This is Rose; one of my high school friends. I might have told you about her before.” She told him.

James vaguely recalled Rose, though he supposed his frantic morning wasn't doing his memories any favours. Even still he decided to play it safe with a "Hey, nice to see ya." He waved a hand, and a trashcan behind them began floating off the ground and moving with the rhythm. James abruptly stuffed his hand back into his pocket. "Heh- so uh, how are you two doing?" He tried and failed to keep the note of anxiousness out of his voice as he quickly glanced both ways to see if any onlookers had noticed his little stunt.

Bothe girls were startled by the noise of trash can leaping back and rolling around. They looked over from James’s left and right side to see the cause of the racket. “Who did that?” Lillian asked but her eyes couldn’t catch the culprit. “I… I hope it’s not a rat…” Rose said nervously. She was afraid of rodent. Then, he asked them about their plan for the morning and Lillian replied: “We are going to literature class. You should be there too, shouldn’t you? Let’s go already. You might have arrived earlier than usual but if you keep wasting time here you’ll be late for the class.”

James rubbed the back of his neck. "Yeah- well, you know me! Heh-" His nervous chuckling dissolved as he spun on his heel and raised the pace to literature class.

As if theatrical studies wasn't going historical enough, literature studies didn't stray far from Shakespearean works either, much to James' dismay. While he somewhat enjoyed reading and performing plays by Shakespeare, James couldn't shake the feeling that Shakespeare was slowly taking over his life. He may as well have been back in Elizabethan era England.

After the session was over, Lillian had to go to another class for math while rose had PE at that period. So both girls stayed in the class a little longer to have a short chat before saying goodbye for the day. They were standing near James’s chair not so accidently. “I can’t get tired of reading them… Shakespearean script I mean…” Said Rose but Lillian sighed. “No matter how good one writing is, you can’t always stick to one style. Besides, he is against women’s rights… I hate that!” She said despitefully. “When our midsummer night is over I’m going to ask for a play from Chekhov to be practiced… ” She added. “Ugh… do you really like his plays?! You know… he is like missing something in both heart and brain!” Rose laughed at her own spoiled joke. Lillian shrugged. “I’m not a fan but this will make a huge change in style and that’s what I call refreshing.” She paused thoughtfully. “I want to write plays or stories that have their own style… like resembling no one…” She said in a dreamy way.

[Ayo, sorry for being gone so long but my schedule has just taken a massive L. It's been awesome RPing with you - but sadly I can't keep on posting. Sorry again, and I hope to see you around]
