Really Stupid Ideas for Casual (literate) RP

Since I don't feel like making multiple posts, including fandom or fandom-based ideas, or all that... I'm just going with this one awkwardly long forum post. I am a busy bee, so I'd much rather have someone that would do an RP that is (while still literate and detailed) more casual, which is why it's 1x1 or small-group. I'm talking that RP spirit where you do it to wind down, either like once a day (or maybe every two/three days) to give one really long post that leaves a lot of collaboration to make it more a group effort; or paragraphs (maybe more) that are more frequent. Whatever it is, I want it to be something no one stresses out over- I see RPing as writing a story together, it's something we should be able to go back and read like a little story


Anywho, here we go. I will start with 'original' ideas (then I will say what they are loosely based off of, fandomwise if someone was more interested in something like that. Some of them go pretty far off the grid)


- If you've ever seen 'Love, Actually' then this would make sense. This would be a really sweet RP, which I actually have already come up with a rough idea for. If you've also seen Hetalia (ok, this isn't necessarily a Hetalia RP FYI) I think that the 'Bad Touch Trio' is the funniest basis for three-female characters who are either moving out into their young-adult lives and exploring different types of love. It'd be something I'd want a lot of feedback; like how to make it interesting, but really this would be one of those RPs that is just laid back. My basic idea: So 3 girlfriends; tall hot blonde, borderline punk- rebellious type, modelesque 'not the brightest crayon in the box' ex-new girl. They're troublemakers, and unlikely to see as best friends. I'd have one of them be a boy, I really don't care; just tight-knit immature friends. Tall model-like 'new girl' falling in love with her polar opposite, but doesn't want to tell her friends it's actually another girl (even though they know). Hot blonde has a string of lovers, but is surprisingly intellectual, she could want either a man or a woman (or even trans/etc). Rebellious 'punk' could go whichever way, idk; don't really have much a plot.

- Weird alien RP (kind've like our favorite old show, Invader Zim!) Except, really not like that sort of overdone comical thing. This would be a RP that dabbles between comical and tragic; about an alien (either a defect seeking refuge, or given a 'fake' mission to protect it.) I almost did this before: in that idea, my partner and I had it so there were two leaders of this race and there was an affair (of sorts) or something and to protect this lower-class alien (protagonist) the leader who was in love with it sent it away to some mysterious planet as 'exile' to save its life. Alien could fall in love with human, or just have ultimate broship; I don't think the alien would have any defined gender by Earth standards so adapting a disguise is funny. I could see it being like really exotic features b/c it's based on the alien's normal appearance. But, as for trying to adapt, it's camouflage process isn't too stellar; i.e. eyes that change colors (sometimes at different times), traits of both male's an females (completely flat chest, hips that are wide, androgynous face)- also, fashion that is always changing and strange speech patterns/actions (since it adapts by directly imitating)- I think the PAK thing in IZ is somethin gI'd want to keep. ^^"


- Some sort of prison-revolution weird thing... Sorry, I just recently went and saw Les Miserables at the theater; and I could go for something like that.

Fandoms I'd RP:


- Hetalia (AUs welcome; you can do almost anything with this one)


- TWDG (not really TWD b/c now that the season has started I'm more interested in just watching it)


- Attack on Titan (SNK)- except not exactly like the anime, I don't think. I could go for a modern!au; or reincarnation!au; or something with genderbending/etc. Note: I am not for ErenxLevi so don't go there; other than that I'm pretty shipper-flexible.


- Breaking Bad (or something like that; maybe where Walt/Jesse live)


- probably some others... I'm braindead at this point.

The first idea seems really good as well, it should fit in well with the "laid back RP" tone that you're aiming for.


The second idea can work as well (I actually enjoy this better than the first one). So, you should give it a try!


I just fear that it may become repetitive too soon - But I've been wrong before, so, you know

@Aratani I would definitely do a shorter-term Breaking Bad RP. I could go for Walt survives somehow, or something along the lines of Jesse post-Heisenberg. I bet you he'd end up meeting up with Marie, Skylar, or Badger or something. Or an alternate turn of events where Walt lives? Idk there's a lot you could do with it, but I can't see it being very long-term.


The first idea I had I can see really being a series of short stories even, like where you can just have fun trying out new ideas/characters and it'd be fun to just toy around with.


The second one, admittedly, could get a little run-of-the-mill (any RP could) but, again, it's something you just have to think outside the box on! I mean, aliens are pretty versatile!

About the Breaking Bad RP, it would be interesting to see Jesse post-Walter White having some kind of decay, losing all his money, something along those lines and end up desperately needing it again. I can really picture in my head Jesse shaving his head in front of the mirror to assume the name of "Heisenberg", and bring it all back in.


My main gripe with the second idea is that I cannot see where would be the balance. The way I see it, it would end up falling into comedy really fast - not that this is a bad thing, but you said it yourself that that was not the plan.

@Aratani I can't see Jesse going Heisenberg, he's so far gone by the end of the show that I can see him actually finding Brock and going off the grid more.


For the second idea, the comedy is more in the ironic things where this creature of 'destruction' is just not a very convincing human. The scary part is in the government and the armada that has criminalized this alien and so it is being pursued on both sides. The human who finds the alien could be related somehow to these people, if not one of them- but may/may not be falling on love (or infatuated) by the creature... There could also be stuff about the 'affair' with one of its leaders, and the struggle to choose to stay true to its heritage or really try to just live out a "human" life and get involved. I could see it being a silly high-school thing, or a college thing- or anything really.

The good (and, in this case, bad) thing about B.B is that there are no loose end. Everything is tied up. So, I'm not sure if this would work as past-Walter White. And it would kinda hard to depart from them...I mean, who would you RP, Emilio?


Now about the second idea, THAT WOULD BE REALLY COOL! I can totally see it working now, haha
