The Morphin Grid is a phenomenon that regular people are typically not familiar with. It is defined as the portal between dimensions, holding an ancient power that can be utilized to strengthen an individual or a group. The Morphin Grid extends beyond our planet, this galaxy or even this universe. It is a multidimensional entity that, when given access to it, grants someone with an immense amount energy that can be used for good or for bad.

Powers from within the Morphin Grid have been utilized across dimensions in an effort to combat the evil forces trying to overcome the power. In previous iterations, we've Grid users merge its powers with dinosaurs, mythical creatures, magic, and a variety of human-based technology. The common thread is that it's not easy finding capable people to withstand the power that comes from the Morphin Grid. One does not simply force powers upon themselves without a severe cost.

And we have seen what a grave misuse of power has done to someone in the past.

In present day, a technological company, GENESIS, is looking to enhance their products for the betterment of their sales. As with any business, GENESIS's goal is to make an immense profit. In the midst of their lab testing, they were able to discover a new form of power from within the Morphin Grid. In the midst of this, however, an evil organization, the Dark Empire, entered itself onto Earth, hoping to conquer the Earth and reform it in its image.

Panicked with a potential global threat looming, GENESIS had to shift its focus from technological advances for profit and instead work on creating superhuman warriors, with the power released from the Morphin Grid, in hopes that they could save the world from a dangerous threat. The biggest problem that GENESIS faced however was that the powers would not bond with GENESIS staff members. Little did they know, these powers could only match with worthy individuals that displayed a positive aura and great potential. But with the Dark Empire prepared for its first attack on Angel Grove, will GENESIS find operators for the suits in time?

Raine Bauer - Blue Ranger

Attributes: Caring, Aloof, Reserved
Weapons: Celestial Blade, Celestial Buster
Personal Weapon: Lupus Cannon - A cannon that attaches at the one arm for quick attacks or both arms combined for a more powerful blast.
Zord: Lupus - A wolf Zord based on the Lupus constellation. Makes up one of the arms of the Celestial Megazord.

Fatima Ansari - Black Ranger
Played By: Steve Jobs
Attributes: Quirky, Observant, Deceptive
Weapons: Celestial Blade, Celestial Buster
Personal Weapon: Cygnus Fan - A war fan that is able to slice foes from close range or produce a powerful wind attack at a distance.
Zord: Cygnus - A swan Zord based on the Cygnus constellation. Makes up one of the sets of wings of the Celestial Megazord.

Kit Sharptooth - Red Ranger
Played By: Kameron Esters-
Attributes: Conservative, Responsible, Loner
Weapons: Celestial Blade, Celestial Buster
Personal Weapon: Aquila Arrow - A bow and arrow weapon that allows the user fire rapidly or extend for more power.
Zord: Aquila - An eagle Zord based on the Aquila constellation. Makes up one of the sets of wings of the Celestial Megazord

Simone Eason - Yellow Ranger

Attributes: Organized, Argumentative, Friendly
Weapons: Celestial Blade, Celestial Buster
Personal Weapon: Draco Slingers - Dual wielding pistols that are able to shoot off fiery bullets at foes.
Zord: Draco - A dragon Zord based on the Draco constellation. Makes up one of the arms of the Celestial Megazord

Darian Aylmer - Green Ranger
Played By: Archie.
Attributes: Happy-Go-Lucky, Reckless, Loyal
Weapons: Celestial Blade, Celestial Buster
Personal Weapon: Leo Hammer - A maul with a massive hammer attached to the end of that can obliterate foes while also quaking the earth.
Zord: Leo - A lion Zord based on the Leo constellation. Makes up one of the legs of the Celestial Megazord.

Seobin Choi - White Ranger
Played By: Wei Wuxian
Attributes: Relaxed, Cheery, Naive
Weapons: Celestial Blade, Celestial Buster
Personal Weapon: Pegasus Sword - A longsword, with wing accents at the rain-guard, that can be used to slice the opposition and deliver a slicing long range attack.
Zord: Pegasus - A horse Zord based on the Pegasus constellation. Makes up one of the arms of the Celestial Megazord.

Freed from the void of the Morphin Grid, the Dark Empire provides a threat that our world has not quite seen before. Their goal is to conquer the Earth and reshape it in the image of its leader, Lord Galza.​

Lord Galza
Info: The power-hungry leader of the Dark Empire with the intent of conquering the Earth. A very prideful and hot-headed leader, Galza is known to take moments of meditation in order to withhold himself from unleashing his true power. This is part of the reason he lets his henchmen do much of the groundwork without feeling the need to rise from his throne.

Maskaraid
Info: The right-hand man to Lord Galza, Maskaraid is the one responsible for creating the Dark Beasts that often lead the Muddie Patrollers into battle. He wields of powerful spear that allows him to attack and also control his dark abilities.

Jadis
Info: The self-proclaimed "beauty" of the Dark Empire, Jadis's responsibilities include infiltration and manipulation. Though she may not physically appear as strong as the others, she is more than capable of handling her on in the battlefield.

Muddie Patrollers
Info: The Muddie Patrollers (or simply Muddies) are the foot soldiers of the Dark Empire. Primarily, they are used as distraction and stallers to the Rangers for a greater purpose. Maskaraid can give a Muddie a Dark Mask, allowing them to evolve into a powerful Dark Beast. They also emit a very indistinguishable bad smell.

GENESIS is one of the most notable technologically forward companies in the modern world, a leader in innovation when it comes to electronics and appliances across the world. ​

Eliza Wade
Info: The CEO of GENESIS for after the passing of her husband, Eliza is a no-nonsense woman when it comes to handling business. Prior to her position as CEO, she was much more passive in her business relations given her late husband's authoritative nature. Now, it appears that Eliza Thorne is as free as a bird to do what she pleases with GENESIS.

Dr. Raymond Ogden
Info: Affectionally known as "Dr. O" to those closest to him, Dr. Ogden is the Director of "Project Ranger," an initiative that focuses on channeling the energy from the Morphin Grid and materializing them into "Ranger" suits. He's very passionate about his hand in this project and his perfectionist nature often causes him to get minimal sleep.

Pierre Wade
Info: The step son of Eliza Wade, Pierre doesn't take too much of an interest in the family's business. Instead, he would much rather ingrain himself in Angel Grove's nightlife and party scene. However, Pierre still has a decent knowledge of GENESIS despite distancing himself ever since his father's passing.
