Rainbow tournament

In the land of ky-ten there are 8 warriors who are constantly at each other's throats. They all are masters at hand to hand kombat and all have a unique element that they can control which matches there colored outfits. Unfortunately they all are evenly matched for each other so to prevent unnecessary conflict every year they hold a tournament on a remote island. Winner will be declared the annual best of the eight warriors.

Here are the combatants:

The yellow ninja- element of fire

The blue ronin- element of ice

The green assassin- element of acid

The red deity- master of the dead

The grey monk- power of smoke

The black demon- power of the shadows

The brown warrior- power over the earth

The purple guard-master of water

These warriors are all powerful. All spiteful of each other. Who will you be?

It's the day of the annual Rainbow Tournament. The various colored warriors have sent their people that were chosen to combat each other.

Before the tournament begins the opponents are arriving on the island and talking to each other. Getting a feel for their opponents and what they're up against.

(Someone do a starting post)

Killian didn't want to be here, she didn't want to be fighting anyone, or to embrace her inter demon... but she had no choice. This tournament was probably the only thing she was able to do to get home, as she didn't understand this earthly air. Sometimes it was cold, and other times hot.. but not hot enough. Some days water fell from the sky, which never happened back at home. At home... it was also boiling hot, though there was no sun to produce such heat. Everything was mostly rock, and the air was always filled with screams of pain and sobs. Here, such a thing was hard to find if you didn't know where to look.

Killian's long black hair fell around her shoulders as her boat finally docked the island she was either going to die in, or hopefully win the tournament and live on happily in the underworld. She only took a boat because over the past 1,000 years, her wings have lost their solid state and become more wispy and don't support her weight like they use to. Now she can only go ever so high for a few minutes. She missed them more than almost anything. She decided to save her energy to summon her wings, tail, and ears for the ring though.

She un-boarded the ship and glanced around, as she wasn't wearing her armor yet, only her loose belt sheathed with five daggers. Her first and last resort in battle beside her powers. She stood straight and tall, the little orbs people called eyes scanning everything about her. She seemed to have time, but she wanted to get there soon and study her opponents. She wandered.

Axsis was on the deck of the boat, the island in sight. "Whoa." she said in awe as the island was quite large and there were docks for each colored warrior. Once the boat came to a hault, Axsis was asked to take herself only onto the island and that her suitcase would be brought to a location on the island where she would stay until the day or night of the tournament. Nodding, she got off the boat and looked around for anyone else.

Her boat was second to arrive, for she was another boat and a girl standing straight and with posture near the boat. Walking over to her she said 'Hi' hoping she didn't startle her. Axsis wanted to make friends before the tournament, she wanted to know them as good people instead of the people who are about to crush you under their attacks.
"Hi there, I'm Axsis! What's your name?" asked with her energetic voice.

Jackson was bored already. She looked around, purple eyes shining brightly. As her ship approached the island, she grumbled to herself. Two people were already on the island. Two girls by the look of it. Jackson sighed and scratched absentmindedly at her newest tattoo. She really hoped that her tattoo would not fade in the sun. She pulled on the bottom hem of her tight, black leather tank top and straightened the katana that hung between her shoulder blades. When the boat docked on the island, two men approached her. "Excuse you. This is mine." She said with a growl as the men attempted to take her katana from her. She leaned closely to the men. "Don't make the first people I injure on this island you two." She whispered menacingly. She one swallow hard and the other rolled his eyes, trying to appear tough. They left the weapon, but told her it much remain sheathed until the actual tournament. She agreed reluctantly, but at least she got to keep it. She stepped off of the boat, her boots sinking in the sand. She groaned as she had to pick her feet up higher than normal, but she'd been in the sand before. One of her first jobs, she'd had to lay in the sand for almost three hours, so it didn't bother her. She looked at the other two girls already on the island and scowled. One looked a lot younger than the other. Jackson did not want to have to kill children, that was never in the rules. She thought they all had to be around the same age. Whatever, hopefully someone would take care of it before she had to. If she did have to take care of her, she would not hesitate a second time. Her father had at least taught her that much. If you can make the shot, make the shot. Do not hesitate. Hesitation gets you killed, or worse, caught.

Robin leaned on the boat's railing as he approached the island, shielding his eyes with his hand as he gazed upon it. It had been a long time since he had left his village for any sort of trip. As his boat began to dock, he quickly made his way towards the beach, only to surprised by a rather cheerful man stepping in his way and asking for his luggage. "Oh," Robin began, "I didn't know they would have people for this. Here you go." He handed his backpack over to the man. "Thank you." The man smiled and left Robin alone on the beach.

He began to wander along the beach, looking for the others in the tournament. He covered his eyes again as the sun began to block his vision. After walking for a few minutes and taking in the sights of the island, he begin to see some figures in the distance. Slowly, he began to walk towards them. He didn't want to late for anything or miss out. Soon, Robin was able to make out the figures. There were three girls that he could make out. Two of which seemed very intense and the other enthusiastic.

As he got closer, he decided to try a more friendly approach. He wanted to learn more about the others and not be left out this time. "Hullo," Robin said shyly to them, looking up with his bright blue eyes. He smiled, trying to seem more likable. "Are you all here for the tournament? It's a pleasure to meet you all."

Axsis turned around when she heard another boat dock. The girl she had tried to start a conversation with seemed uninterested at the moment so she decided to just watch the boats as they came in. One girl stepped off, looking intimidating and muscular. It didn't bother Axsis much though, that's how her sister was, but this girl was a lot different then her sister with the tattos and katana. She was about to walk over to the girl when a boy approached the little scattered group. He introduced himself kindly and Axsis couldn't help but smile.

"Hi there! Yeah silly, only people for the tournaments on this island besides the staff and such." Axsis said with a smile, though it soon disappeared when she remembered the fact that even if she did make friends the tournament would most likely ruin it out of competition and no hesitation. Holding her hand out and putting the smile back on her face, Axsis waited to see if the boy was willing to shake hands.

Robin looked at the girl in front of him. He felt a genuine smile on his face as she noticed him. "It's relief to know I actually came to the right place. I was a bit worried because I didn't know who was competing." Robin shook the girl's hand. "Oh! My name's Robin. I hope we can still be friends, despite fighting against each other," he awkwardly trailed off. He really didn't know how to communicate that well and hoped she went along with it. He clasped his hands together and looked up. "Soooo, do you know when the tournament actually begins? I was thinking of maybe training if there was time left. There's always time for improvement if you know what I mean. I'm a bit nervous in all honesty. What about you?" Robin asked. He was curious to see if he was the only one slightly concerned. Everyone he'd seen so far looked pretty intimidating and calm. He felt himself beginning to get stressed out.

"Well you are in the right place. I'm Axsis, nice to meet you Robin! Same, and I'm not sure myself, I heard from a few people back at civilization that we have about a day or so to train, do other things and such." Axsis said as she introduced herself to Robin and answered a few of his questions. She looked around and noticed a few more boats but they were really far off.

"We have a bit of time right now, if you want to train right now it'd be a good time as far as I know."
she said. She almost forgot an important question to ask since some warriors powers are not as easily deciphered by clothing and such. "What is your ability if you don't mind me asking." she said quietly as she looked up at him since she was quite short.

Jackson looked around, bored again. A guy walked past her and began talking to the child-like figure. She could see now that the smallish girl was actually just small. She heard the girl say that they could practice now. Wonderful. Jackson thought, looking around again. She wanted to completely orient herself with her surroundings before the tournament began. She started walking inland, away from the water, wondering how people would find her if she just kept walking. Maybe she could get a hiding place before the tournament even started. Even though assassins were offensive, they also had a defensive factor to them and were particularly good at finding spots to hide themselves for rest or recuperation. She sighed again, looking briefly back at the people standing around and then looking straight forward, continued just a little further.

Robin nodded in response to Axsis. He was relieved that he was in the right place after all. He brushed his fingers through his white hair. "That's a relief." He smiled lightly, showing off his bright white teeth. "Oh, I would love to train for a bit then if we have time. I need to work on my physical prowess. I'm more agile than anything." He laughed thinking about when he was younger and had to climb trees to escape some people. He had gotten better at it over the years. He just needed to work on throwing a better punch.

Axsis's question took him by surprise. "What's my ability?" he questioned looking down at her, "Isn't obvious? I thought everyone could tell." Robin began to twirl his fingers around. A form of mist appeared and began to crystallize within itself. Slowly, it shaped itself into a perfect ice crystal. He handed it out to her. "For you," he smiled, "Just don't give it to one of those fiery people. It will probably melt or something. I've never actually met one before. I'm just guessing. You know. Fire. Ice. Don't quite mix that well...."

Axsis looks at the crystal in awe, but it took a moment before she looked away. She moved some hair out of her face. "Well, ...." Axsis had the ability to control the heat of her body temperature to be stable or unstable, though she wasn't sure of it right now. Wanting to know what happened if she did touch the crystal, she slowly reached out.

But if it melts, ... will he think of me differently? It's true fire and ice don't mix. Axsis was about to touch it before drawing her hand back. She shook her head 'No'. "I can't touch the crystal." she said quietly, she feared to touch it. Her face had a blank expression with a tint of sadness. Sure she has touched ice cubes before, but it wasn't the same to get to touch a crystal made of ice specially made for her, and if it melted... she didn't want to see the after math.

"Oh okay," Robin said quietly, lowering the crystal. A frown starting on his face. He began mentally berating himself. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. I know I shouldn't have gone and done something like that. No one likes ice. No one ever does. Stupid. Stupid. Stupid. Robin forced a smile onto his face. "Haha. It's okay. It wasn't that good anyway." He melted the crystal in his hand, permanently destroying it. It's not like he needed another reminder. He hoped his smile didn't look too forced as looked back at her. Robin didn't want her to see that it hurt that she didn't take it. He didn't even understand why she wouldn't take it. He thought he was doing well for once. I should have known better. Trying to escape the awkward tension, he sighed, "Well. I guess I'm just going to explore around the island until we start then, maybe train a bit. I'll see you around, I guess. I wish you the best of luck." Robin awkwardly waved as he stepped backwards. He then turned around and began walking in the opposite direction. Hands in his pockets. He let his frown slide back when he was certain she couldn't see his face anymore.

Axsis stood there quietly. She watched Robin walk off and as she did she regretted everything. "Worst way to start this day off." she mumbled as her body temperature rose, she walked off in the other direction and decided to just find some place quiet. After a few minutes she found a place with some decent silence. Sitting on a giant rock and lit her feet on fire abd started kicking at the air. Though she didn't think about it much an a bush caught on fire from the ashes that were still hot.

She took notice of it a bit later when most of the bush was burnt.
"Aw great. At least it's only one bush. No harm done." she said as she then held her hand out and absorbed the remaining flames on the bush and while doing so her feet stopped it's current actions and went back to normal temperature, no more flames. "That wasn't smart of me... I must punish myself for such reckless behaviour!" Axsis said as she picked a rock up and started balancing it on the tip of her finger, balance, part of the way of a ninja.

(Imma sleep now, good night.)

(Later :P )

A few hours later a loud gong was sounded. Over and intercom a voice said "COMBATANTS. PLEASE REPORT TO THE BATTLEGROUNDS. AN ANNOUNCEMENT SHALL BE MADE WELCOMING YOU. THAT IT ALL."

The competition was expected to come to an old Chinese looking arena in the center of the island. In it was a large circle for people to fight in and on one side of it was a large throne with an old man in old Chinese robes. "I have a feeling this year is going to be good....." He said laughing

@SummerFaerie @I am Shadow @DemonAbove @Painted Puzzle

@haydenly16 forgot to tag :/

As Carter got off the dock, a man came to get his bags. "Ok, if you insist." Then Jade arosed from the water close to the ship. "Carter. There was an anouncement just made. We have to report to the battlegrounds." "Very well then. Let's go." then they started to head to the battle grounds.

Axsis walked to the arena with the help of the staff directing her. The rock was still balancing on her finger as she entered the arena. Looking around it looked like an ancient time chinese arena. Taking notice of the staff, she guessed they were there in case serious problems happened. While looking she saw an old man in a chinese robe smiling as if he had just got done laughing. He didn't scare her despite his looks and such, her short figure was just a cover up for the raging fire inside.

Walking to where there was a man with a yellow robe, she guessed this is where the combatants would stand until the match commenced. "Are you suppose to be a coach or something?" asked Axsis "Yes, all warriors have their own 'coach' like figure. I'm the yellow colored warrior coach, I'm guessing your Axsis?" said the man. Axsis nodded as she then realized that all warriors would be here including Robin, the girl wearing black from earlier and the muscular tall woman. At this point she guessed he would find out about the whole crystal thing. As she waited for more contestants to enter the arena she balanced the rock to the point it didn't shake or slant as she moved her hand around.

Jackson narrowed her eyes at the announcement and then again at the men that approached her as she made her way to the arena. She already didn't like it here and she wasn't really sure why she was. She wasn't even supposed to have powers, much less fight other people with powers. She sighed, raising an eyebrow as a man spoke to her. "Enter this way, ma'am." The man said, obviously confused that the green assassin was a girl. Jackson narrowed her eyes again and just walked through the heavy steel door that was pushed out of her way. Her fire red hair swirled around her as the wind picked up just a little in the arena. It had a Chinese look to it and there was a man in a large, ornate throne sitting above them. She didn't like this already. "I think you're in the wrong spot, ma'am." A different man said to her, meeting her eyes and then looking her up and down. "What's your color?" he asked, "I can direct you." Jackson raised another eyebrow and smiled a little evil. "Green." she said confidently, meeting the man's eyes. He raised both of his eyebrows. "You're poison?" he asked. "I am. Would you like proof?" she asked, holding her hands out. He narrowed his eyes a little and then cracked a smile. "No, I think that's not necessary. Thank you for the offer though." He said. Jackson half-smiled and nodded her head, so the attitude came with the power.

Killian ignored almost anyone's attempt to speak to her, as she believed some of these people were too happy when they were about to fight and wound another being. She has been coming to fight for years on end here, though most were with a year or so between. She has earned some nasty wounds, and she has seen some of these people before. Human are just so strange! Be nice to a person before the competition and then swing a sword at their side? She believed it was easier to fight someone if you didn't know them, right?

She shook her head and heard the announcement, so she hurried to the arena. She glanced at all her opponents, wondering if she has seen them before, though she was sure she has in fact have in the past years. People aged so quickly, when she has looked that same for the past 1,000 years. Again, humans were so strange. Killian quickly took to where she was suppose to be in the arena, summoning her long black bushy tail so she could wrap it around her left leg. Something she did when she was nervous.

The old man stood up from his throne and held his hands out "welcome combatants!" He said voice booming "welcome to the annual rainbow tournament! The various cored factions have sent their chosen warriors to fight. You all are those warriors. Now here is how the tournament shall work, I will choose random fighters to fight in each round. Who ever rises from all the fights shall be the one to fight the champion, my employer." He sits back down in his chair "are you all prepared for war?"

Robin looked around the Chinese arena as he walked in, noticing all the other factions. He felt his body temperature drop a bit after looking at all of the fierce combatants. He was nervous, yet ready to fight. He only wanted to bring glory to his friend's memory. I have to do this. Suddenly a booming face broke his concentration. Robin looked in the direction of the shout, focusing in on an old Chinese man in a large throne. He seemed to be starting the tournament. Robin stood looking for a moment at the man before quick tug on his long sleeve shirt stole his attention. It was his own personal blue coach. "What are you doing standing around?" the man snapped, "You should be getting ready. You look like you're about to pass out. You cannot lose this. You understand?" Robin sternly nodded in agreement. "I promise you that I will try my hardest." This satisfied the man; he even slightly grinned back. Robin turned back towards the Chinese man. He was ready for the battle to begin.

Axsis had dropped her rock at one point and was practicing making fire balls when the old man she had noticed earlier spoke. His words gave her the shivers because his voice was so loud. She gulped at the fact of non-stop attacks. Although she was short and most likely wouldn't be able to out run the taller people, she most likely would be able to jump higher and do a few flips.

Stay calm Axsis, easy girl. Axsis walked out from the sidelines into the offical arena boundaries. Calm, focus. She stood there silently waiting for the old man to say something. It was very hard for Axsis to concentrate when the man kept staring her down along with the other contestants.

Jackson was completely unfazed by the man. She'd had many a people stare at her before. She was a girl named Jackson for crying outloud. She looked at him briefly a couple of times and the one time she caught his eyes, she narrowed her eyes at him and he did not look happy with her. She was prepared. Hurt and kill people was what she did for a living, she was kind of guaranteed a win, at least that's what she thought. She could tell some of the other competitors were getting nervous and she didn't blame them. They very well should be.

As Carter and Jade entered the arena, they noticed a man in a purple cloak approach them. "Hello. What's your color?" Carter grinned. "I'm purple!" Carter says enthusiastically. "Very well, I am your trainor." The man said. "Very well." Then they heard a man with a thundering voice. Jade jumped from the sound, but Carter was smiling excitedly. He knew why he was here for the water spirits had told him of it, and Jade helped prepare him mentaly. He started fidget with excitement, water spraying everywhere from a small container in his pocket, causing it to swirl around him in a wave-like pattern due to his abilities in controling water, Jade tried to calm him down, but to no avail.

Axsis noticed a new constant she hadn't seen on the shore. The boy seemed extremely excited. Sure hope he doesn't get his dreams crushed by this. Axsis waited for something to happen. She stood there continuing to make fireballs, or trying at least. They would form, but disappear a few seconds later. The arena was large, and the area she was standing in was whre the contestants stood while some fight. The back front.
