True. Since they're level 4s they shouldn't be intrinsically stronger. And it's not like the ability to track AIM fields or the ability to punch people with a metal gauntlet is enough to make you 'one of the best' or 'one of the most feared' anyways.

I keep lurking then jumping in and out of these conversations, but to maybe add or just go along with what you are saying here. Since she is a teacher, and most of anti-skill are teachers for argument's sake it could be said she trained with anti-skill in martial arts or however you want it to be. That is just an idea that came to mind when reading through the conversation here.

It's mostly because there's two types of espers so far. The non-combat types (like the telepath) and then the combat types. The problem is, Espers, and mages, are suppose to rely on their powers. But at present I'm literally the only combat-focused esper that actually relies solely on their power. Rinora's running around as a level 5 with two esper abilities and skilled at martial combat. You're skilled at martial combat.

In raildex it's very rare to find people who have these abilities and are also capable of fighting without them. So a guy who's just a good brawler could, theoretically, fight espers and magicians simply because espers and magicians aren't worth fuck all without their powers. But everyone is hell-bent on circumventing that fact by making their characters good fighters even without their powers, all but guaranteeing a level 0 like Gen literally can't do anything.

Also, while looking over Jester's char I noticed a change to Rinora's. Telekenesis is not a part of AIM stalker, so by having it Rinora has two esper powers, which shouldn't be possible. Silvana

But once again it was about your character. He was making ( a very good point) about your character having two esper abilities.

And given your past history so far, who's to say he would understand completely that it was a joke. What if he "wanted to defend himself" from your comment. Then that starts another fight. However, I am going to end it with this comment. I have nothing more to say, nor do I want to say anything else on the subject.

It's odd that you'd even post that considering the post you quoted wasn't even directed at you. But since you want to make it about you it isn't so much being upset as it is just acknowledgement that your character sheet still has Rinora as a level 5 who's also an expert martial combatant. While the martial stuff annoys me on a personal level, my issue with your character will always be the fact that she's a level 5 despite the GM saying level 5s weren't allowed. And that issue will remain until you either reduces her ability to level 4 or get a new one entirely. What you're doing with Rinora would be like me saying my character has vector control and can do all the same stuff accelerator did, but it's fine because I wrote 'level 4' as the level. So you can't really just expect people to just ignore the fact that Rinora's overpowered and has no weaknesses. Nor can you just flippantly go 'u mad' when people acknowledge that fact either.

to be fair, you have to have a very high IQ to understand rinora being at level 4. the reasoning is extremely subtle, and without a solid grasp of theoretical physics most of the cs will go over a typical reader’s head

Ok, I will admit its been a while since I've watched the anime. My memory is also poor. Plus, when i say most feared. Its not necessarily because of his power level. That does factor in, but the main reason he's so feared is because of his bad reputation. Which arose from rumors spread about him. So he's feared, because people think he's some kind of criminal. Plus he does lead a gang...so it's not far off. As for his background, if its really a major issue i can try to edit it some. But i didn't even put the coding on it, so that would take a while to redo things.

saying one of the most powerful is yes. But feared doesn't have to relate to actual ability. Dosu is legit just a guy who's meant to come off as scary or intimidating

Maybe you if you stated that he was feared by his peers because of his reputation for being a delinquent or something along those lines. It leaves less of the misunderstanding that he is feared because of his strengths.
