xD lmfao what does that mean? Think Gen will get left behind?

It's mostly because there's two types of espers so far. The non-combat types (like the telepath) and then the combat types. The problem is, Espers, and mages, are suppose to rely on their powers. But at present I'm literally the only combat-focused esper that actually relies solely on their power. Rinora's running around as a level 5 with two esper abilities and skilled at martial combat. You're skilled at martial combat.

In raildex it's very rare to find people who have these abilities and are also capable of fighting without them. So a guy who's just a good brawler could, theoretically, fight espers and magicians simply because espers and magicians aren't worth fuck all without their powers. But everyone is hell-bent on circumventing that fact by making their characters good fighters even without their powers, all but guaranteeing a level 0 like Gen literally can't do anything.

Ah i see, tbh Dosu isn't a master at Martial arts. If anything hes picked up some technique from street fighting, maybe developed his own style. But in battle his powers are a big factor. So if it came to hand to hand, Gen would probably end up wrecking Dosu

I notice that too. I'm actually considering joining, but the fact that everyone seems to be some sort of black belt is a bit off putting. I do plan to have my character just be a big ol' coward and avoid fighting in general because, well, he's a kid and not some shounen protagonist who knows every form of fighting and doesn't want to get his ass kicked.

Also, yeah I''m using hyperbole and I know characters that don't follow what I'm saying exist in the RP.

As a side, Dosu almost seems like a switch blade instead of the more highly focused powers and stuff you usually see in Raildex, which I don't know how I feel about that.

My character likes to fight. But it's raildex, and she's a lvl 4 esper. So of course she's gonna think she's hot shit with her powers. Remove the powers and she's a normal 15 year old girl, not exactly hard to beat up.

Yeah I'm not bad talking your character at all, she seems perfectly fine for the setting. In a lot of RP's, not specifically Raildex ones, I often see characters that are super proficient in fighting and cover every single weakness they could have, but don't like hurting or fighting people. It's apparently a very common thing that is odd to see.

Nuuuuuu! ;-;

But I think it makes a bit more sense with your character, considering both her magic isn't about combat and magicians are more likely to know that stuff.

Switch blade? You mean a swiss army knife? Also yeah, if he didn't have his esper abilities his fighting abilies would be slighlty above average. Nothing really special, most of his training, and what not growing up was based on his power. How to better utilize, and hone it for combat, and what not.

So, is your guy a gemstone then? I.E. natural born esper? Cuz that's what your bio implies.

Also I just read all of Dosu's profile , and it doesn't seem to fit much of the Raildex universe as far as his background goes. Plus, I personally dislike the whole 'one of the most feared espers' schtick, especially with level 5's walking around. But that's just me thinking aloud because I currently have a lack of sleep in my brain.

I gotta agree with this. There's thousands of level fours in the city so to call yourself "one of the most feared" or "one of the most powerful" in Rinora's case, it's silly.

Plus it's a form if bunnying, as you are immediately saying you are stronger than other player characters.
