Rage of Infinity

RageOfInfinity

Improbability is a bad reason to disbelieve
The basic concept of this roleplay is an interdimensional form of Starfleet, from Star Trek. The differences are rather pronounced, so let's get to it.
What You Need To Understand
1. Time Travel is the first step into the greater Multiverse:
Time Travel was created by Nikola Tesla. In the Origin (the universe all other spawn from), his experiments lead to an explosion that tore the fabric of space and time. All future realities were merged with his own. Every impossibility was now, in fact, reality. There was chaos on the streets. Murder and bloodshed everywhere, as beings with superhuman powers clashed with what could only be described as a cadre of everything from intelligent apes to undead behemoths. Then, led by an organization of powerful men came together and formed IDSEA. Their sole purpose was to understand the event, prevent it's duplication, and stabilize reality. Those who embodied justice and order joined IDSEA. Those who embodied terror and chaos continued to squabble, both against IDSEA, and against themselves.

2. What we see as fiction is reality, somewhere in the multiverse:
What IDSEA had grown to understand is that, while we saw our writings, musings, and stories as mere fantasy, they were, in reality, the reverberations of real events, somewhere in the multiverse. Now that all of reality had been fused into the Origin, they all existed in one chaotic mess. Old rivalries faded away, as old enemies began to understand the precariousness of reality. A union of some of the most powerful beings from the multiverse joined together. An agreement was made, and IDSEA was forged. Their enemy? The Agents of Chaos.

3. Just because all of these realities joined into the origin, does NOT mean they ceased to exist on their own
Think of the Origin as infinite, but the Multiverse as Infinite to the power of the infinite. All realities still exist on their own, but their impressions had been made on the origin. Essentially, those new beings were duplicates of their originals, but still very much real.

The Goal of IDSEA
1. To stabilize reality, such that greater chaos never unfolds
The First and primary stated goal of IDSEA is to ensure that the events that led to the necessity of IDSEA never repeat themselves. Since Time Travel was deemed the first step into the greater multiverse, it was outlawed to those in the Origin, and then, further outlawed to all realities that joined IDSEA. The Agents of Chaos, however, stole Time Travel technology and also began to spread their own nefarious doctrine.

2. To introduce realities that develop Time Travel, and later, Interdimensional Travel, to the Multiverse, and to IDSEA
Agents of IDSEA often go out into the multiverse, in an attempt to bring new dimensions into the fold, and prevent the Agents of Chaos from getting their hands on another piece of reality. They take covert roles until the time comes that they actually develop time travel. That is when IDSEA reveals itself. Joining IDSEA is never by force, but joining the Agents of Chaos is considered an open declaration of war.

3. ALL possibilities, and impossibilities, are real
Death is not permanent. Well... for some. I mean, how many times have Sam and Dean died? They're in IDSEA, by the way.
The only limits are your imagination. I mean... how many times has Goku barely won... just because the writers want him to? He's in IDSEA, by the way...
Randomness plagues all. I bet that Deadpool has no clue what he's doing, and just going with the flow... go too far, and you might try to shoot someone with a flower.
The Multiverse had a funny way of ensuring that it doesn't destroy itself. The more ordered the story is, the more sense it will make.

RULES
Sorry guys, but I do have to make some rules...
1. Absolutely no godmodding. You control YOUR characters, and YOUR characters alone.
2. Deaths must be permitted by the roleplayer.
3. All plot ideas are to be submitted to me for deliberation. (I am no dictator. I eventually want to set up a bit of a council for this. I know it seems really awkward, but I'm just terrible at presentation. I already have ideas for plot, and I welcome others' ideas to make it better)
4. PLEASE... PLEASE... PLEASE... BE LITERATE. I don't need a novella reply, but I definitely require NO TEXT TALK, and I would prefer at least a paragraph per reply, though this won't always be required... take it as a case by case basis. If it looks like you aren't making an effort, then we'll have problems.
5. NO OOC DRAMA. NONE. AT ALL. I'll have to kick you out of the RP if you don't follow this.
6. This ones a bit of a doozy, so bear with me. I am TERRIBLE at Group RP, that being said, I would prefer if each individual part of this was done 1x1 with me via PM. I'll be merging the responses I give to each of you with the responses I get from everyone. Consider it a new RP style I've wanted to do for a while.
7. At some point in your reply, say the word "flabberghast" to prove you've read these rules. Try to make it fit in to what you're saying instead of just saying "HERE'S THE SECRET WORD EVERYBODY!!!!!"

These rules ultimately give me a high degree of power over the story. Before joining, please realize this fact, and know that I will be doing my best to make the outcomes as fair as possible.

Name: Johnny Weiss
Age: 25
Fandom: Rage of Infinity
Canon or OC: Technically... both. Heh.
Personality: Logical, yet emotional. Focused. Ambitious.
Abilities: The technology at the disposal of the IDSEA, extensive training with pistols, rifles, and snipers, extensive knowledge of the history of Dimension Z-63, the IDSEA, and all forms of Undead. He is also rather skilled in espionage, strategy, and tactics.
Weaknesses: A pretty face is his biggest weakness. He is limited in in his understanding of any dimension with less than modern technology, or a visual spectrum resembling a cartoon (those realities give him terrible migraine headaches.)
Bio: Johnny Weiss was born in the Origin, in the year 1993. He grew up with stories that he didn't have to feel were fake. He knew they were real. He had a strong urge to fight the undead, as he saw them as the purest example of chaotic forces in reality. His heroes were the Primis Crew from Dimension Z-63 (we know them as Call of Duty: Zombies). Their greatest enemies were, in reality, themselves. They fought their own chaos, and brought down hordes of undead as well.
As soon as Johnny turned 18, he joined IDSEA. His ultimate goal and desire was to be sent to Dimension Z-63, however, IDSEA labelled it as an extreme danger zone, and only sent extremely experienced soldiers to that reality, so for now, Johnny must pay his dues, elsewhere.
Height: 5'6"
Weight: 180 lbs.
Body Type: Fit
IDSEA or Agents of Chaos: IDSEA (Rank of Sergeant)
Dimension: Origin

What is Canon or OC?
Canon means it's an accepted part of the story, made by the creators of the story. For instance: Hate it as the fans may, Jar Jar Binks is Canon in Star Wars, however, extended universe Staw Wars, which was written by people outside of Lucasfilm, is all Non-Canon.

A canon character is something like... Steve Rodgers in Marvel, whereas an OC (Original Character) is a character created by a fan.

Indeed. I will be back soon. I must go serve one of my Vices. I hope to see your application when I return.
