Humans and Super Humans

The lifeforms that natively inhabit Earth, Humans belong to the Homo sapien species. During a time of dramatic climate change 200,000 years ago, Homo sapiens evolved in Africa. Like other early humans that were living at this time, they gathered and hunted food, and evolved behaviours that helped them respond to the challenges of survival in unstable environments. Humans are very versatile on handling work loads. Super Humans is a term given to those whose basic capacities so radically exceed those of present humans as to be no longer unambiguously human by current standards. Usually Super Humans are ridiculed over their capabilities, because they can do stuff that regular Humans can't. Most of the time, however, Humans will be afraid of Supers.


Becoming a Genetically Modified Human

Most Humans become Super Humans either through external experimentation or simple genetics. These include being captured and changed against your will, to simply being born with powers or heightened senses. Human enhancement is any attempt to temporarily or permanently overcome the current limitations of the human body through natural or artificial means. Human enhancement may be through the use of technological means to select or alter human characteristics and capacities, whether or not the alteration results in characteristics and capacities that lie beyond the existing human range. It is possible for a standard Humans to become a Super Human through these means. A Human with sharper instincts and better physical feats than the rest of the species would be classified as a Super Human. There have been accounts of the U.N capturing and turning normal Humans into Supers, with varying degrees of success. It is speculated throughout the Human community that the U.N are trying to create an army of super soldiers.



Super Humans and Humans Within Fantasy High

A majority of the student body consists of Humans and Super Humans. Due to the nature of Human learning and understanding, various applicable topics such as Math and English remain in the school curriculum.

Angels

An Angel is a spiritual being superior to humans in power and intelligence. Angels are typically described as benevolent, dreadful, and endowed with wisdom and knowledge of earthly events, but not infallible; for they strive with each other, and God has to make peace between them. Most of them serve either as intermediaries between Heaven and Earth, or as guardian spirits. The use of the term has extended to refer to artistic depictions of the beings, and it is also used figuratively to refer to messengers and harbingers, and to people who possess high qualities of goodness, purity, selflessness, intelligence, and/or beauty. Angels are referred to in connection with their spiritual missions; as for instance, the "angel which has redeemed", "an interpreter", "the angel that destroyed", "the messenger of the covenant", "angel of his presence", and "a band of angels of evil". In fine art, angels are usually depicted as having the shape of human beings of extraordinary beauty; they are often identified using the symbols of bird wings, halos, and light. Before I begin to explain the lore for Angels, it is imperative that you know these facts;


Grace
Grace is "energy" integral to angels. It is essentially the difference between an angel and a human, while in a human host. If an angel removes his grace, he is either rendered mortal within his vessel or, if he is not using a vessel, is reborn to human parents in his own body. Grace allows an angel to use its powers and abilities while in a vessel, and without it, they would be rendered powerless. Depending on how the grace is removed, the celestial being may retain a little of its power, such as telepathically hearing other angels communicating. It has been proven that angels with and without grace can reproduce with humans, however it is unknown if angels with grace can reproduce with each other.


Vessels
Vessels, or Meatsuits, are humans who serve as the physical body or embodiment of spiritual, non-physical beings. At least some of these beings can be forcefully driven out through an exorcism while others can be driven out by the vessel. Angels, of every variety, use possession as the means to interact with humans on Earth, and they require the vessel's permission before they can take any form of control, under a law mandated by God. Angels can bind Horsemen to their vessels, but if the vessel is dispossessed of the angel or is killed, the spell will break. Angels' true forms can fry humans to rotting corpses and their voices, outside vessels, can render humans deaf. Although, the Angel's true vessels can withstand their respective Angel's form and voices. Angels have multiple people that can be vessels for them, but only one person is their "true" vessel. While in a lesser vessel, an angel's abilities are limited when compared with their true vessel, and may be damaging to the human. Archangels require their true vessel, otherwise they will burn out the body they are inhabiting. Not all humans are even compatible to house angels, and those who are incompatible and house them, will explode. Possessing a person has a downside as it renders them vulnerable to death by whatever they are vulnerable to by anyone that has that weapon. For example, an angel in a vessel can be killed by a human or a demon if they possess an Angel Blade when without a vessel, this would be impossible. When daemons possess people, it also allows them to be killed when even an angel's powers are unable to kill them in their smoke form. However, the downside of this is that the person they are possessing is killed with them. It is law that angels use vessels to interact within the physical world. But in order for this to happen, the angel must first gain consent of their would-be vessel, who must voluntarily agree to the transaction, and no angel can disobey it, and thus will only take a willing vessel and will not and can not force themselves into a human like demons, thanks to the laws of God. Even archangels aren't exempt from this. Because of that, and the fact that most humans cannot stand the sight of an angel's true form the angels have to find willing vessels. After finding a potential host, the angel will then communicate with the human through visions in order to explain themselves and ask for the human's consent to gain control of their body. Angels who have manifested within a vessel have superhuman abilities that easily surpass the power of a demon. If the vessel has enough strength of will, they can overpower the angel for at least a short time and retake control. This is true with demons as well, but the vessel must be exceptionally strong-willed. An angel can choose to let their vessel take complete control and not even know that they are there but they can take control themselves when they wish without further permission. Angels can leave the host whenever they want to or if they are called away by the higher ups, leaving the vessel with little or no memory of the time they were occupied. The process also doesn't kill the human either as angels heal their vessel's wounds completely unlike demons who's vessels have their wounds return after the demon is exorcised or leaves. Also, as angels do not need to eat, a vessel may find themselves extremely hungry after being freed from possession. A difference between angelic and demonic vessels is that while demons are unaffected by injuries to their vessels, they don't actually heal them and when the demon leaves their vessel through choice or exorcism, if the vessel has been fatally injured, the vessel will die. This tends to happen with vessels who have been possessed over a long period of time while vessels who have possessed for a much shorter period of time may survive, though traumatized. In the case of angels, when their vessels take injuries, they heal the injuries and the vessel will live if the angel leaves no matter how severe or fatal the injuries the vessel took over its possession. A vessel of an angel, due to their consent being needed for possession, can actually expel the angel possessing them if they wish to. Another aspect of this is that even with a willing vessel, if an angel leaves for any reason, they need the vessel's permission a second time when they return. Now, onto the Angel Lore.


Types of Angels
Standard Angels are powerful celestial beings of light created by God to serve as his attendants and messengers, but also as his soldiers and warriors in his war against Lucifer and his demons. They are native to Heaven and are imbued with considerable power. Angels are one of the most powerful entities in The Existence, generally outclassing all demons, monsters, ghosts, and other supernatural creatures with the exception of the Leviathans, Eve, The Horsemen, The Darkness, God himself and Sanctums. Angels are capable of reproducing with humans while in a vessel, creating a Nephilim. However, if they're missing their Grace, the resulting offspring will be human. They cannot reproduce in their natural form, and it is unknown what is born when two angels within vessels reproduce. Cherubim are one of the unearthly beings who directly attend to God. The numerous depictions of cherubim assign to them many different roles; their original duty having been the protection of the Garden of Eden. Different sources give conflicting information as to the physical appearance of cherubim. An early, traditional Jewish notion supposes that cherubim had youthful, human features. Cherubim became associated with the putto and the Greco-Roman deity Cupid/Eros, resulting in the misconception that cherubim are small and plump winged boys. Seraphim are a higher class of angel, above normal angels, but lower in status than archangels. A seraph can easily smite lower demons with minimal effort, whereas a regular angel required far more focus to do so. Even in a weakened state, Seraphim are able to smite a King Of Hell. Unlike standard angels, Seraphim powers are imbued within them, meaning they still possess all of their powers, even if they become fallen angels, and are cut off from Heaven. The major difference between average angels and a seraph is that the latter possesses several cosmic powers lower angels don't, and some they do, but at a greatly elevated level. They can bend time, heal humans of any injury or illness and revive humans effortlessly.


Powers and Capabilities of Angels
As warriors of God and agents of Fate, Angels are powerful beings in the supernatural world, possessing a wide range of abilities that vary from Angel to Angel depending on the class of the Angel.


Low-tier powers
Common powers granted to all angels with varying levels of effectiveness:

  • Angelic Possession - Similar to demons, angels require a vessel while on Earth. However, they must have the vessel's permission before they can take control. Even once they are possessed, the vessel can expel the angel at any point but this does not apply for all angels. Angels can only continue to possess humans of a specific bloodline otherwise their vessels will be unable to contain the angel and explode. This goes even more so for archangels as any vessel they possess that is not their true vessel will begin to deteriorate.
  • Astral Projection - Angels can project shadowy forms of their wings onto surfaces at will. If one is killed by an Angel Blade, its wings are burned onto the surface on which they died.
  • Dream Walking - Angels can appear in people's dreams, they usually use this to communicate, when they can't find the person they're looking for, or want to talk privately. Lucifer was able to talk to his future vessels in their dreams.
  • Electronic Manipulation - Angels can manipulate electrical appliances.
  • Immortality - Angels do not age and cannot be killed by diseases or Earthly weapons. Some angels have existed since the beginning of time.
  • Invulnerability - To date, the only things capable of killing angels are Angel Blades, Holy Fire, a stronger angel, Death, God and Leviathans. Archangels have even fewer weaknesses, and they can only be killed conventionally by Archangel Blades, though it is unknown if they can be killed by Angel Blades. Death's Scythe can kill angels.
  • Localisation - Angels can localise any human who is not protected by Enochian sigils.
  • Regeneration - If an angel's vessel is damaged, it will repair itself nearly instantly unless the wound was caused by angelic weaponry.
  • Reality Warping - Angels are powerful enough to bend reality to their will. The more powerful the angel, the greater their capability. Even angels cut off from Heaven possess this power to some extent. A regular angel is able to remove the existence of a door to prevent their targets from escaping. Other examples include breaking and repairing objects by pointing at them, removing a persons lungs with no incisions or assembling a board game by shaking the box. Archangels possess this power to the greatest extent, being able to conjure items and beings out of nothing. The most notable example is Gabriel, who lived on Earth by masquerading as a trickster named Loki.
  • Sedation - Angels are able to render humans unconscious with a touch.
  • Smiting - Perhaps an angel's most versatile and terrifying weapon, smiting (sometimes known as the Killing Touch) allows the angel to kill almost any demon, monster and even humans with a touch. Smiting is often exhibited when angels place their hands or palms on their adversaries' face, forehead, or mouth.
  • Super Stamina - Angels never tire, and they do not require food, water, oxygen, or sleep to sustain themselves.
  • Super Strength - Once possessing a vessel, angels use their power to dramatically increase the physical strength threshold of their hosts. Their strength varies from angel to angel, depending on their position within the celestial hierarchy; lesser angels (cherubs, Rit Zien and common angels) are still considerably powerful and are able to destroy most monsters and regular to mid-level demons, while seraphim, mid-level angels, can destroy all monsters and middle to high-level demons and virtually all lesser angels. Archangels are the most powerful class of angel of all, and one of the most powerful beings in God's Creation overall. As such, they easily outclass most other supernatural beings with God and Death being their only superiors.
  • Super Senses - All angels enhance their vessels senses to superhuman level. Angels possess an acute sense of smell. Their sense of smell is heightened to the point where they can identify people by smelling their body, bone or by their blood. Angels can also identify people by sniffing their genes and hormones as well. Because angels operate on a different plane of existence, they can see atoms and ions which are impossible for humans to see. Angels can hear a humans conversations miles away from them, and they are somehow able to locate any human on the planet and find them, but they can't locate people if they are protected by an Enochian charm or symbol. They also have an amazing sense of taste and are able to taste every molecule in a piece of food.
  • Supernatural Perception - Angels are able to see almost all supernatural activity around them. They can even see Grim Reapers, which remain invisible except to those they are seeking. They can also see Demons and Hellhounds. They can also sense any location, being, or object not protected by Enochian Symbols, with the exception being Sanctums. This perception also extends to electromagnetic waves, and can decipher radio modulation signals, as angels are "multidimensional waves" in their true form and can thus perceive such energies.
  • Telekinesis - Angels are able to telekinetically move beings and objects with their mind. They are able to use this power in a more aggressive manner like demons, but are often not depicted as doing so.
  • Telepathy - Angels can read the minds of other angels with ease, higher angels such as Seraphs and archangels can also read humans minds.
  • Flight - When angels are in their smoke form on Earth, they can fly anywhere they desire.
  • Temporal Awareness - Angels are capable of becoming aware whenever any alteration occur within the time-stream, allowing them to discern alternate timelines and the like.
  • Voice Mimicry - Angels can perfectly mimic the voice of mortals.
  • Protective Charm - An angel can protect an individual from most forms of physical damage. This degree of protection is linked to an angel's power.
  • Pyrokinesis - The ability to generate fire from nothing.
  • Terrakinesis - Hael was able to carve the Grand Canyon with her powers.
Powers accessed through connection to Heaven
To lower-level angels, certain powers are granted and maintained as long as they stay connected and loyal to Heaven and its rulers. Should they rebel and fall, those powers will wane and eventually vanish in time, and after that all of their powers will eventually vanish, rendering them mortal. However, higher-level angels such as Seraphim and archangels do not suffer from this condition.
These powers include:

  • Enhanced Chronokinesis - Using the power of Heaven, angels are able to enchance their ability to travel through the time if they own the ability.
  • Healing - Angels can cause the wounds, diseases, and toxins of another being to heal instantaneously.
  • Smiting - Angels are able to destroy low to mid-level demons with a simple touch, however the demon has to be in a host body, as this doesn't work on their smoke form. However, they can grip a demon's smoke form and force it back into a host body to smite the demon. They can also use it to kill monsters and humans.
  • Resurrection - Angels can bring the dead back to life. However, they must know where all the pieces of the original body are, and they must have the soul of the subject.
Mid-tier powers
Abilities more commonly used by higher classes of angels such as the Seraphim, the Grigori and the archangels, although it is possible that these powers can also be used by low level angels.

  • Advanced Smiting - Higher angels are able to smite beings with less effort and stronger than common angels. When higher angels, fell from the grace, they don't lose their ability to smite.
  • Biokinesis - Higher level angels, such as the Grigori are able to render a man blind with just a touch.
  • Vessel Locking - Powerful angels can hold a demon in smoke form as if it was tangible and force the demon to return to its vessel.
  • Memory Manipulation - Powerful angels are able to erase, restore, alter, and fabricate memories in the minds of humans.
  • Advanced Pyrokinesis - Powerful angels can generate and manipulate fire.
  • Soul Reading/Channelling - Angels are able to read a human's soul, but it is a painful experience for the human. They can also use the soul as a source of energy, but the pain is even greater for the human, and there is the risk of an explosion if the angel is not careful.
  • Power Negation - Powerful angels such a seraph is capable of removing psychic powers from human beings permanently. However, the process is very painful and can leave the person mentally-damaged.
  • Advanced Healing - While normal angels possess the ability to heal through their connection to Heaven, Seraphim possess the power of their own, not needing aforementioned connection.
    • Holy White Light - A particularly lethal power, some angels can unleash a highly concentrated blast of pure energy from their palms to destroy targets. The level of destruction can be controlled.

High-tier powers
Extremely powerful abilities, used only by Heaven's most powerful denizens, the archangels.
  • Cosmic Awareness - All archangels have a superhuman knowledge of the universe.
  • Thermokinesis - The ability to manipulate the temperature of a given area/object. Even a presence can cause an entire town to drop or rise in temperature.
  • Electrokinesis - The ability to produce powerful arcs of electricity.
  • Implosive Smiting - A more powerful version than a lower angel's smiting. This could obliterate powerful beings such as archangels themselves.
  • Shapeshifting - The ability to change forms.
  • Weather Manipulation - The ability to change the weather.
  • Terrakinesis - Archangels are able to create severe quakes.
  • Mental Manipulation - The ability to add or remove information to and from the brain.
  • Immunity - Archangels display a limited immunity to holy fire as it only hurts them rather than being fatal.
  • Teleportation - Angels are able to travel from one place to another, instantly, without occupying the space in between. However, they require their wings to teleport. They can also summon or send other beings.
  • Chronokinesis - Angels can travel through time, in either direction. They can also take others with them, and just send others without going themselves. However, this is a very difficult ability to master with or without Heaven's assistance. More powerful angels such as Seraphim or Archangels are able to manipulate time with less effort, even when cut off from Heaven.


Combined Host
When angels act together, they are capable of feats not normally achievable by individuals.
  • Combined Smiting - The angels of Heaven are able to combine their powers into one single focused smite.
Other Powers

  • Matchmaking - Certain types of angels in the Cherub class, e.g. Cupids, use a special sigil called a Cupid's Bow to bring couples together. Couples touched by a cupid have their hearts marked with an enochian sigil.
  • Empathy - Angels in the Rit Zien class can sense another beings emotions and experiences related to pain.
  • Unique Smiting - The Rit Zien have a unique method of smiting their victims by vaporising them completely.
TYPES OF ANGELS

Cherubim

Cherubs, also called Cupids by humans, are a type of angel that are at the very bottom of Heaven's hierarchy. They are tasked with pairing important bloodlines together by supernatural means, as it is their chore. Cherubim possess an amazing skill over manipulating emotions, which inarguably no other angel type possesses. Their "handshake" is hugging someone very tightly, which is to the dislike of every other Angel.



Grigori

The Grigori were an elite class of powerful angels that were sent to Earth to protect humanity. They were some of the first angels to arrive on Earth. They eventually fell from their post, and started to feed on human souls. Most of them were wiped out, but a few of them still remain on Earth.



Rit Zien

The Rit Zien are a special class of angel. In the battlefield, they act more as 'medics'. Their name is Enochian for "hands of mercy". They tended to the wounded and healed those who could be healed, but for the mortally wounded or emotionally despondent, those who are past saving, the Rit Zien put them down. Because of this, there are those of the celestial ranks who seem to fear them.


Seraphim

Seraphim are a higher class of angel, above normal angels, but lower in status than archangels. Seraphims can be recognised by their four wings, as opposed to the standard two wings.


Powers and Capabilities of Seraphims

As a higher-tier class of angels, a seraph innately possess all the standard powers and more abilities of normal, low-tier angels, only at a higher level. Unlike normal Angels, they don't lose any of their powers after they fall. Here are their powers:

Angelic Possession - A seraph requires a vessel to manifest physically on Earth, and, like all angels, they must bear their consent.
  • Immortality - A seraph, like all angels, by nature, can't die by any natural means of death. They are impervious to bullets, knives, bombs, and any other conventional human ways of killing. They can be killed by an Angel blade.
  • Superhuman Stamina - A seraph never tires or gets fatigued. A seraph does not require food, sleep, or oxygen.
  • Super Strength - As a higher class of angel endowed with greater strength, seraphs are extremely strong. They can lift at least 1 ton, and can overpower and destroy humans, spirits, monsters, demons, and low-tier angels, but are completely inferior against the archangels. Seraphs are also strong enough to fight and overpower two Leviathans for at least a short time when other angels are easily overpowered by them.
  • Biokinesis - A seraph is able to cure a human turning into a monster (Such as Vampire, Werewolf etc).
  • Telepathy- A seraph can easily read the minds of humans.
  • Dream Walking - A seraph is able to enter dreams. They can even take someone with them.
  • Pyrokinesis - A seraph can generate and manipulate fire
  • Healing - A seraph can heal others from severe wounds. They are able to regrow a cut off finger on a human. However, some things are beyond their power to heal such as being damaged on a subatomic level.
  • Resurrection - A seraph can lift the deceased from death.
  • Invisibility - A seraph can become invisible to humans.
  • Smiting - As all angels, a seraph is able to burn out the eyes of humans, monsters, and demons, killing them. They can even smite a Leviathan.
  • Regeneration - If their vessel is in some way injured, A seraph can regenerate very quickly, though wounds caused by angel weapons take longer. They are immune to Earthly diseases.
  • Reality Warping - A seraph possesses reality warping abilities.
  • Weather Manipulation - A seraph can manipulate the weather, such as causing lightning storms.
  • Mental Manipulation - A seraph can manipulate, erase or restore a person's perceptions and memories of events.
  • Soul Reading/Channeling - A seraph can read a person's soul to check the marker of another angel who had left said person, to see if there was a soul there and check the state of the soul. They also have the ability to channel power from a human soul, though this had to be done very gingerly and could result in the death of the human if done wrong.
  • Power Negation - A seraph is capable of removing powers from empowered humans, however, it can leave them mentally damaged to do so and is very painful to the individual losing the power.
  • White Light - A seraph is able to emit white light.
  • Vessel Locking - A seraph can hold a demon in smoke form as if it was tangible and force the demon to return to its vessel.

Archangels

Archangels are the strongest class of angel. They are fierce and absolute in the eyes of Angels, and are Heaven's most fearsome wrath. They were the first Angels to be created, arguably making them God's first creations, possibly older than Leviathans. Archangels were harder to make and are harder to revive as they were formed from such powerful primordial energies of creation which no longer exist after the physical plane and universe were created. They were created in this order: Michael, Lucifer, Raphael, and Gabriel. Michael is the mightiest and the most loyal archangel, Lucifer is the most prideful and avaricious, Raphael was the most ruthless and imperious, while Gabriel was the most mischievous and deceptive. The archangels were the four chief angelic creations of God. They were created in this explicit order: Michael, Lucifer, Raphael and Gabriel. The archangels acted as siblings, and distinctively interacted with themselves and their father. Some point after their creation, they and God went into war with The Darkness. They were unable to kill The Darkness, but together they succeeded in binding it. God then created a mark, later to be called The Mark of Cain, that would serve as both lock and key for the Darkness, which he gave to his most loved son and most trusted lieutenant, Lucifer. After the banishing of the Darkness and helping create Heaven, Michael personally raised his younger brother Lucifer, and accordingly, Lucifer took care of Gabriel, and showed him different tricks. Following the imprisonment of the Leviathans in Purgatory and creation of mankind, God asked all his children to kneel before them. Although the other three archangels complied, Lucifer refused, and led a rebellion trying to overthrow God because when he was trusted with the Mark, it corrupted Lucifer and drove him to be jealous of humanity. Therefore, Michael, on God's command, defeated Lucifer and banished his brother out of Heaven and into Hell. During the turmoil, Gabriel escaped to Earth to avoid taking sides while Raphael chose to side with God and Michael. There are only five Archangels, Michael, Lucifer, Raphael, Gabriel and Han. Archangels have six wings, as opposed to the Seraphim's four, and the standard Angels' two.


Powers and Capabilities of an Archangel

Archangels have all the powers standard Angels and Seraphims have, but to a far more powerful degree.

Daemons

Daemons are malevolent spirits created by Ayen and Lucifer. They are created from corrupted human souls that have endured extensive torture in Hell by Alastair and other daemons. In this process, they become corrupted, extremely evil, and also very powerful. Similar to Angels, they require a Vessel to walk the earth, though are able to roam in their smoke form.


Types of Daemons

The most common and standard class of daemons are black-eyed daemons, who possess only basic powers, such as super-strength and telekinesis. Effective defences against these daemons include holy water, salt, iron, a Devil's Trap, etc. Stronger black-eyed daemons, such as the Seven Deadly Sins, have more resistance such as not being barred from entering hallowed ground and has the ability of causing internal bleeding and extensive magical knowledge. Black-eyed daemons are able to stop a bullet shot from a gun in mid-air. Although the Knights of Hell are black eyed demons, they are far more powerful and possess much greater abilities. Red-eyed daemons are one level higher than black-eyed daemons, and have more powerful abilities, such as teleportation and deal making. Since red-eyed daemons have the ability to teleport, they are usually stationed as crossroad daemons, so they can teleport to the crossroads without having to be forcefully summoned. As crossroads daemons, they make deals with humans, granting them one wish in exchange for their soul. In a period of time, normally ten years, a hellhound will be sent after the deal maker and drag them to Hell, where they will become a daemon. While stationed as crossroad daemons, red-eyed daemons generally possess attractive females, presumably to attract men to make a deal. If favoured by the Ruler of Hell, or another higher daemon, red-eyed daemons can be promoted from a crossroads daemon to a higher position. Yellow-Eyed Daemons have a unique durability threshold and advanced telekinesis. They can manipulate fire, control dreams, make electrical devices go haywire, and could even possess reapers, Death's soul collectors. Yellow-eyes Daemons are impervious to holy water and most other conventional defences against demons. White-Eyed daemons are considered the generals of daemons. They're terrifyingly powerful and they rank the highest in the hierarchy of Hell, just under Lucifer himself. They inspire fear in their subordinates as all other demons seem to be terrified of them. Being as powerful as they are, they were resistant to many daemonic weaknesses. They were even capable of holding their own against regular angels. So far, the only known demons of this type are Lillith and Alastair, the former of which was the very first daemon to be created. Knights of Hell are very powerful daemons, said to be some of the first daemons; hand-picked by Lucifer himself, they were trained by Cain, the Father of Murder and himself the first Knight. Legend among Humans had it that the archangels have destroyed all but one, but in truth Cain himself killed them. Knights possess a number of abilities not seen from other types of daemons. They are also nearly invulnerable, being immune to many defences against daemons, including exorcism rites and even the daemon-killing knife. The only weapon that can kill one is The First Blade.


Other Types Include:


  • The Acheri are a type of demon that can materialize their own form without the need of the use of a vessel, generally, if not always, taking the form of little girls. They can be summoned and controlled.

  • The Daeva are a type of demon that can materialize their own form to that of a shadow which can be summoned and employed by other daemons similar to hellhounds.

  • Cambions are demon/human hybrids, which are created when a demon reproduces with a female human virgin, by using said human as a vessel. Their powers far exceed that of any demon and grow to much greater levels when Lucifer is around.

Pagan Gods/Deities, or the Old Gods, are a race of immortal supernatural entities, and each is a prime authority in the religion or pantheon that they established or belonged to. Despite having a role in human religion and possessing free will, the majority of them are cruel, petty, uncaring, and only concerned with themselves and their survival. Some of them are neutral or indifferent to humans, but the majority are evil. Several of them are known to have a taste for Human flesh and they are confirmed to use humans as a food source as well as offerings through virgin sacrifices.


Powers and Abilities
As pagan deities, Gods are quite powerful, and some of them are powerful enough to be classified as higher beings. Unlike Daemons, Angels and all other supernatural species, the powers of the deities vary between each other. Normally, it depends on each type of deity and how old and powerful they are. They also gain power through human sacrifices. While each deity has unique powers, they do share certain powers. It is certain that they (or at least most of them) are more powerful than monsters, spirits and (at least most) daemons. Some deities even possess powers beyond angels. (Due to their variation, it is split into standard powers which they all have, similar powers, which some have, and unique powers.)

Standard Powers



  • Immortality - As pagan deities, they can live forever as they are immune to ageing and disease. Many have been around for centuries or even millennia.

  • Invulnerability - They are unharmed by conventional weaponry, and are immune to pain, common physical ailments, and disease. They can, however, be harmed and killed by stronger beings, including other stronger deities. Weapons belonging to (and presumably made by) other pagan deities also seem to be effective against them to some extent.

  • Super strength - They are exceedingly strong, with even the weakest deities being able to casually overpower, maul, and lift full-grown humans.

  • Super stamina - Deities never tire regardless of what they go through.

  • Magic - Deities possess incredible magical powers and knowledge, with some being truly divine. A deity's powers depend on the type of deity it is.

Similar Powers



  • Super speed - Some deities, such as Leshi, Osiris, and most notably, Mercury, can move at incredible speeds.

  • Telekinesis - The ability to move objects with their mind. Many deities possess this power, such as Kali, Osiris, Leshi, Beau, Veritas and Artemis.

  • Telepathy - Many deities possess the power to read the thoughts of other beings. Leshi and Osiris used this to learn from their victims.

  • Super senses - Some deities, such as Leshi and Osiris, possess superhuman senses.

  • Teleportation - Some of the older and more powerful deities have this power. Kali, Baldur, Osiris, Atropos, Plutus, Chronos and Artemis have all displayed this ability.

  • Biokinesis - The ability to control a person's body, either through harm or transfiguration. Kali has been shown capable of using this power against another deity (Mercury). Zeus was able to strangle a person with a twist of his wrist, and casually tortured Prometheus. Also, Harmonia, the mother of the original amazons, transform them into supernatural creatures in the point to prevent them from extinction.

  • Time Manipulation - The power to manipulate time. Atropos is able to stop time and selectively manipulate its flow. Along with her prediction of events, she uses this to assist herself in manipulating events to bring about people's deaths and fates. Chronos was able to travel through time and bring others with him. He could also manipulate the flow of time. Another type of time manipulation is the creation of time loops (where the victim will keep repeating events over and over again). This will last until the one responsible is killed or lets them out; otherwise, the time loop will not stop. Gabriel displayed this power while acting under the alias of a Trickster, however it's unknown whether Tricksters possess the ability to create time loops as well.

  • Spellcasting - Several deities have shown the capability of casting spells and performing rituals. Madge and Edward Carrigan performed rituals for their tributes. Kali's blood magic was called a blood spell by Gabriel, and Plutus had cast warding spells on his location to prevent even powerful beings like the King of Hell and angels from directly harming him.

  • Supreme Knowledge - While not a power per se, many deities have greater knowledge than other supernatural beings. Many deities, such as Atropos, Odin, Baldur, Kali, Ganesh, Chronos, Baron Samedi, and Mercury possess incredible knowledge of events and people that many other beings do not know about.

  • Shapeshifting - Veritas had this power to a limited degree. Tricksters, Leshi, Ganesh, also have this power.

  • Possession - Vanir are able to possess the scarecrow at will, leaving or entering, depending on his will.

  • Conjuration - The power to create or to uncreate something or someone from nothing. Tricksters are known to have this ability. Calliope could manifest creatures based on plays to protect the director.

  • Reality Warping - The power to change the laws of reality and to create new laws or realities entirely. Tricksters have this power. Mercury also showed this ability, able to change the Elysian Hotel from a broken down joint into a five star hotel.

  • Influence over vegetation - The ability to have some influence over plants and vegetation such as returning dead plants to life. Mercury may have this ability, or at least his presence induces the same affect. The Vanir were able to make harvests more bountiful.

  • Weather Manipulation - Some of the deities could control the weather, such as preventing a harsh winter, or by providing a climate well-suited for planting and harvesting. Madge and Edward Carrigan have this ability. The Vanir has displayed this ability, and was shown to unleash heavy rain when angered. A group of deities were able to lure Sam and Dean to them by creating an enormous storm.

  • Pyrokinesis- The ability to manipulate and generate fire by thought. Kali has this power. Vesta also had this power.

Unique Powers



  • Supernatural Perception - The ability to see and hear things and beings that are invisible. Atropos could tell who Castiel was while he was inside his vessel. Vesta had a variation of this power and could sense the damage to Sam's body. And unknowing and indirectly referred Gadreel as the tape holding him together. Those with this power are obviously unharmed by looking upon the true form of higher beings.

  • Truth Compulsion - The ability to compel humans to speak the truth. So far, only Veritas has displayed this power. She can also curse people so that they are told only the truth by other humans.

  • Electrokinesis - The ability to manipulate and generate electricity. Zeus had displayed incredible proficiency with electricity.

  • Necromancy - The power to have control over spirits/souls. Osiris is able to control the spirits of the dead, and can turn them into vengeful spirits.

  • Foresight - As the God of Time, Chronos could see into the future.

  • Granting Immortality - The Mayan God Cacao could grant others immortality (as well as heightened physical capabilities) in exchange for regular sacrifices.

  • Cursing - Zeus cursed Prometheus to die and be revived, only to die yet again everyday. The curse was so powerful it passed down to Prometheus' son Oliver, something Zeus hadn't anticipated. In the same way he could inflict a curse, he could also lift it. However, the curse was also tied to Zeus and with his death, it was broken.

  • Summoning - Beau possessed the power to teleport others with a gesture.

  • Resurrection - Many consider this power a curse. Prometheus possessed this power and was resurrected each day after dying.

Vulnerabilities

Though they are powerful beings, deities can be killed by a variety of methods:



  • Specific ritual: Leshi, Veritas, and the Vanir could be killed by a specific ritual assigned to them. Osiris could be incapacitated (but not killed) by one.

  • Wooden Stakes: Many deities are also vulnerable to certain types wooden stakes, which must usually be dipped in certain kinds of blood (Chronos, Zao Shen, Veritas, Plutus, Vesta, Calliope). The stakes were often made from trees that are common to the home country or nation of the deity. Zeus was vulnerable to a wooden stake made of a tree struck by lightning.

  • Weapons of the gods: Weapons crafted by the Gods have the ability to kill other Gods.

  • Primordial entities: Higher beings, including other deities, can kill them. Lucifer, an archangel, was able to easily overpower and slaughter a number of high-level deities.

  • Lack of Tributes: Pagans get a lot of their power from tributes. Lack of tributes can reduce the deities' overall power.

  • Weapons of Sanctum origin: Weapons crafted by Sanctums can kill a God by those who wield them.
Types of Deities

As well as standard deities, there are also subspecies of deities, who fall into these categories:



  • Tricksters: A special type of demi-deity and supposedly quite powerful, these beings are common in many cultures and thrive on creating mischief and mayhem. They have the power to make objects materialize out of thin air and can remove them just as quickly. To kill a Trickster, one must obtain a stake dipped in the blood of its victim and plunge it into the creature's heart. Famous Tricksters include Loki of Scandinavian myth and Anansi of West Africa.

  • Vanirs - Deities of Norse belief, the Vanir are Deities of Fertility and Success; they offer these boons to lands or people in exchange for sacrifices.

  • Hold Nickar - Pagan Deities of the Winter Solstice, who grant mild weather in exchange for sacrifices.

  • Chief Gods - Chief gods, are the deities that are (or at least were) the leaders and rulers of their own Patheon, due to this they are (at least among) the most powerful of all deities, often possessing rare and incredible powers. Odin from the Norse Pantheon, Cacao of the Mayan Pantheon and Zeus from the Greek Pantheon have appeared on the show.

  • Titans - Mentioned as being the "gods before the gods", known in mythology for their raw power and brute strength.

  • Children of Deities - Despite not being deities, properly speaking, the original Amazons are born from deities. It seems that regardless of who the deities mate with, the result of the union is always human, as the Amazons who were conceived by Ares and Harmonia (both deities) were human at their creation (they only become monsters when they made a deal with Harmonia to become stronger and survive extinction) and Oliver, who is the son of the titan Prometheus and the human Hayley, was human as well as he shown no sign of being a deity.

Sanctums

Imperius Vi Euphoria, King of Euphoria and Ruler of all Sanctums.
Sanctums, simply known as "The Ones Who Came Before" in deity texts, are free from the constraints of the material world and can overcome the limitations of physical existence and also become independent of it.

Sanctums are physically and mentally beyond essentially all forms of harm or other ways to influence them (outside of other Sanctums), and have powers that are supernatural and impossible to the outside viewer. While they can enter into the material universe, becoming immanent, their true being is outside The Existence and thus both independent and outside everything that happens to their manifested/avatar form. As they are able to perceive the existence in a completely different and transcendent way, they can achieve things that are beyond the understanding of lesser beings, for example, a children's toy built by them could be used as a dangerous, and unstoppable weapon by the lower races -Humans, Angels, Demons, Gods, Goddesses etc.- Sanctums are also the creators of all Gods and Goddesses, and as such, are immeasurably more powerful. Comparing God (the most powerful of the old and new generation Gods and Goddesses) to a Sanctum would be like trying to compare that size of an atom to the Universe, that is to say impossible. No amount of power could reach a Sanctums, as they are classified as Inaccessible Cardinals.

They are the pinnacle of existence, beings with absolute power and will. Sanctums are a warrior race by nature, as they strive for a good, satisfying fight. They are considered the protectors of The Existence and the apex warriors. Sanctums aren't in any Mortal text, nor any Mortal database, so their existence is unknown to those who reside within the Existence, with the Exception of the Deities. Even beings and Humans with powers of knowledge are unaware of their existence, due to the Sanctums immunity to powers. Everytime a Sanctum is referred to in Deity text, they are called 'The Ones Who Came Before', however there are no detailed descriptions of them, leaving their appearance, powers and origins unknown, even to Deities.


It is impossible to naturally become a Sanctum.

The Throne World
The Throne World is an alternate dimension created and ruled by King Imperius Vi Euphoria. If a Sanctum is slain in the material world, their soul will pass to the Throne World, where they can interact and train with the previous fallen Sanctums, as seen in the case of Genesis Zi Euphoria, the younger brother of Imperius Vi Euphoria. Being within the Throne World, Sanctums regain and hone their strength until they can re-enter the material world, primarily through resurrection.

“ If victory is truth, then war is argument, and a sword is... logic.” - Ragnarok Il Euphoria, the King Father.
These strange and brutal truths define the higher planes of reality ruled by Sanctums—the Throne Worlds. They are separate dimensions created by the will and might of Sanctums, beings with sufficient sword logic, as a place for which to be reborn upon death. The Throne World has its own laws, or axioms, which govern reality. This makes them distinct from physical reality, and also different to The Existence's passage of time, allowing half an hour on Earth to be the equivalent of ten centuries in the Throne World.

Sanctum Geometry

Abstract concepts have no physical realness or quiddity, but Sanctums are able to make abstract concepts as real as physical objects when inside the Throne World. The principle beneath the Throne World is that death is a shape which can be invoked as a weapon because of the unique properties of the Throne World. Like death, the abstract concept, or "shape," of lies can be chewed and converted into weapons like poisons by a Sanctum within this dimension.

“Death is just a word, isn't it? A catch-all term for the failure to go on, nothing spiritual, nothing with its own quiddity. We all died once, and it did not prove insurmountable. But what if, what if, what if, shhh listen, what if death were reified, described in its totality, made autonomous and universal, separate from any context or condition? What if we could invoke the ending of anything with simply a breath?” - Mad Sanctum.

High Contempt

The Throne World "looks down" on physical reality, being that this dimension has no death, and is ultimately more superior and more real and complete.

“I write to you from a place of high contempt. No no no, don’t be offended, don’t be so superficial — it’s in the architecture of this space. It looks down on you.” - Jurok, the first fallen Sanctum, writing to his beloved from the Throne World.


Sword Logic
Sword Logic, the gaining of power from killing, is the law of the Throne World. This applies to every Sanctum within and outside of it. Killing someone gains you not only the sword logic of killing them, but also the sword logic that they have accumulated. This means to kill a Sanctum is to become a Sanctum. While swords are not necessary to gain sword logic, swords, blades, and other weapons that physically bridge a target to their killer are subject to sword logic—they grow more powerful with each kill.

Also just to note, You don't need to use a sword for sword logic to apply. sword logic still applies even without the sword, it's just that using a sword makes the sword also grow stronger.
A gun is a powerful weapon, but it kills acyclically. It sends out harm and it takes nothing back. The bullet passes away into nothing. A sword is like a bridge, a crossing-point. The sword binds wielder to victim. It binds life to death. And when the binding is done—the sword remembers. When the gun's fire has burnt away into axion and neutrino scatter, the sword goes on, hungrier and sharper.

Types of Sanctums

In Euphoria, Sanctums are ranked in terms of strength, so that their combat missions are perfectly suited to the individual's skill and power type. The ranks range from S to D, with S being the highest and D the lowest. And within that letter rank, there is also a number from 0 to 5. The lower the number, the higher the rank. Akira is the only Sanctum to be ranked S/0, the highest rank there is. His younger brother, Kenji, as well as his younger sister Marica is ranked as an S/3, while their parents, Ragnarok and Ariadne, are ranked as an S/4. The training instructor Cell was created to be an S/5, so that he was able to properly train the children of Euphoria without being matched. The reminder of the Combat Sanctums range from A/0 to A/5. The civilian Sanctums who roam Euphoria are ranked as either a B/0 to a D/5, the lowest rank possible. These Sanctums usually remain in Euphoria and create food, alcohol and other luxurious items, such as Euphorian gold armour and weapons in order to support their race in combat. The civilians are, however, trained in combat, and are certainly able to fight alongside their higher-ranked peers without much difficulty. There have been cases where a lower ranked Sanctum has been sent to eliminate a race, and has returned successful without any problem. The civilians understand the ranking system, and see that it's there so that Euphoria remains the apex race within the Alpha Universe. Most Sanctums wear a set of dog tags around their neck which shows their Rank, along with their name and battalion they're in, although it is not required to do so.


I have no intention of allowing any characters to become Sanctums, nor will I accept any Character Submissions that are set as Sanctums.

Vampires

Vampire is a hypernym used to refer to a number of creatures that thrive on blood, which contains their victims' life force. They arrived when the cataclysmic Conjunction of the Spheres occurred.

TYPES OF Vampires

Alps

Alps are vampires that resemble bruxae in appearance. They are called phantoms by some, a name which fits well enough, for like phantoms they haunt and torment men. They usually take on the form of a woman, though they can also appear as animals. They are most often found prowling near cities on the outskirts. They attack at night and are most active when the moon is full. Alp saliva can make one fall asleep, and when applied to a sleeping man, can invoke horrible nightmares. Some suggest they are the cause of legends about men who go to sleep healthy and are found in the morning white as snow, not a drop of blood in their veins. In combat alps display supernatural speed and incredible (even by vampire standards) stamina. One must aim one's sword with great precision, for alps are unequalled in the art of evading blows. Alps suck the blood of their victims to deprive them of strength and regenerate their own powers. Unlike bruxae, alps cannot turn invisible, yet like bruxae, they emit a shrieking noise whose shock wave can incapacitate. Their greatest asset is their agility and they can leap with uncanny lightness that appears to border on the power of flight. When in Human form, they easily blend in with the surrounding community, which makes them very dangerous indeed.


Bruxae

Bruxae dart about with uncanny speed, and with their power of invisibility they can easily confuse opponents and attack unexpectedly or from behind. Bruxae use their sharp claws to attack and can easily break through an opponent's guard by buffeting him with a hail of blows from all directions. They will try to bite their prey and drink its blood once it is weakened. Bruxae are also known for their sonic attacks, which knock down and stun their prey.

Ekimmaras

Like other vampires, Ekimmaras are not, despite what old gossips might say, undead humans. They are instead post-Conjunction monsters who have no particular feelings about garlic, holy water or religious symbols .Unlike their portrayals in ballads and legends, they look nothing like handsome, pale aristocrats with charming eastern accents, though, like katakans, they do bear a strong resemblance to overgrown bats. They also do not suck blood from the necks of virgins with a delicate, kiss-like bite — they tear them to shreds using long, sharp claws and then slurp the splattered blood off the ground. Ekimmaras are unusually cruel and exceptionally swift. They are able to quickly land blow after blow capable of smashing even the best crafted armour into tiny shards. They should be fought with a silver sword, remembering that they can regenerate back health over time. One should thus never attempt to tire them out or wait for it to bleed to death. Instead, cut them down as quickly as possible and, if possible, burn the body to ash and scatter it to the four winds.


Fleders

Fleders are classified as lesser vampires. Though weaker than the rest of their ilk in every aspect from the physiomagic to their physiognomic, they should not be underestimated – for they are very, very dangerous. Fleders cannot be mistaken for any other creature, with their wide, toothy jaws, flat, unpleasant faces and completely hairless, often warty bodies. These vampires mainly fight with their teeth and claws, flailing them blindly and not stopping even when their victim is already dead. Even a solitary Fleder is strong enough to take down a trained soldier. Compared to other vampires, Fleders display meagre intelligence, seen most clearly in the mindless rage which causes them to try with all their might to attack and tear to shreds any weaker being.

Garkains

Garkains, like fleders, belong to the class of particularly dangerous vampires whose strength exceeds even that of fiends. An encounter with one of their number almost always ends in death, which is why there are not many eye-witness accounts of them. From the national guard reports written up in Lan Exeter describing the attacks committed in that city in 1104 by three Garkains (later killed by a certain Sanctum), it seems these horrible monsters do not content themselves with drinking the blood of their victims. The investigators concluded from the blood and guts strewn around the crime scenes that Garkains tear their victims to shreds with great delight and mess around in their bloody entrails. Garkains belong to the group of creatures known as lesser vampires. They often gather around themselves members of other subspecies of lesser vampires, acting in such situations as leaders of the pack. They are by and large unable to run, but can jump a great distance and often attack their prey in that way. During combat, they usually keep their distance from their foes, trying to incapacitate them using a blast of mental energy provoking visions that beguile and disorient.

Higher Vampires

Unlike most vampires, true Higher Vampires are incredibly rare, and are often mistaken for their lesser brethren. True Higher Vampires can look exactly like a human being and can even evade detection from powers, only revealing themselves at their own convenience. Higher Vampires are also incredibly intelligent, and possess numerous - and often individual - abilities. Unlike their lesser cousins, Higher Vampires do not need to drink blood to survive; however, the consumption of blood offers an experience not unlike the consumption of alcohol. Because of the rarity of Higher Vampire, as well as the unique abilities they often possess, classification can be extremely difficult. Fortunately, encountering one is an incredibly rare occurrence, and not all higher vampires are dangerous to humans; many avoid human contact, and some even work altruistically to aid humanity. Not all are so benificient, however while they can be defeated temporarily, not even a God can truly kill them, as they can reform from literally any damage given sufficient time to regenerate. The only way to permanently destroy a Higher Vampires is by the hand of another Higher Vampire.

Katakans

Katakans and their more dangerous kin, nekurats, are the embodiments of human fear. They hide in the shadows. They feed on blood. They resemble enormous bats — though with long fangs and even longer talons. And, as if that weren't terror enough, they can turn invisible, waiting unseen while dread of their unpreventable attack overwhelms their victim.

Protofleders

Protofleders are relatives of Fleders which came from the world of the higher vampires to our own during the Conjunction of the Spheres.The members of this species are characterised by their considerable strength and agility as well as the strange glow they emit, a trait most likely tied to their otherworldly nature. Protofleders have never had significant contact with the outside world, having spent their entire time on Earth planet in caves, whose atmosphere is very similar to that of their home world.

Facts and Myths regarding Vampires

  • Higher vampires do not need to drink blood. It is like alcohol to them, in that they can become drunk from it. Additionally, drinking blood increases their strength.
  • They are not adversely affected by silver; although most vampires short of true Higher vampires can be wounded by it.
  • A vampire bite does not turn the bitten creature into a vampire.
  • Vampires are not undead or transformed creatures; they are born as vampires. The race of vampires appeared in the world after the Conjunction of Spheres.
  • Not all vampires must avoid the sun. Many have adapted and easily tolerate daylight.
  • They cannot be seen in mirrors and other reflective surfaces.
  • Rushing water (rivers, etc.) poses no obstacle to their movement.
  • Holy water, crucifixes, and garlic are ineffective against them.
  • Partial bodily damage, such as a stake through the heart or decapitation, is only an inconvenience to them.
  • Some can touch white hot metal with their bare hands without injury.
