Due to the outburst of Queen Leech (under the guise of James Marcus) in May 1998, the T-virus was leaked throughout the Arklay Research Facility buried within the adjacent Arklay Forest. With this act, the virus slowly began to seap into the surrounding area, infecting countless forms of plant life and slowly making it's way towards Raccoon City itself. Guard dogs from the Arklay Research Facility also managed to break loose, and the ensuing months were littered with reports of mysterious, grisly murders caused by countless organisms from the facility. The explosion caused by the self-destruct mechanism within the Arklay Research Facility became public knowledge, but the exact details were covered up by Umbrella and the Raccoon Police Department.

On September 11th, large mutated insects were reported having attacked campers in the forest. Zombies soon began to roam the forest, and countless Cerberus began to prowl. Eventually, the mutilated corpse of a young woman was discovered. Soon enough, more reports began to surface, including the murder of a family of three in the western area of the Arklay Mountains, a 39 year old man in the Mendez River dock area and an elderly couple. Eyewitness reports of creatures matching the descriptions of Zombies and Cerberus were also on the rise. By July, over 30 murders had occured.

Umbrella itself immediately took an interest in the reports, and with the Arklay Research Facility now completely decimated due to the outbreak, began the "X-Day" procedure. The destruction of the facility (or rather, the mansion) was covered in local news, but the exact details behind the incident were insidiously covered up by Umbrella.

More and more sightings of strange creatures surfaced in Raccoon City at an alarming rate and by late September, the T-virus that had been slowly leaking into the city from the outbreak caused by James Marcus had reached critical levels in Raccoon City. On top of this, the recent G-virus retrieval mission was met with failure, and William Birkin had transformed into a towering creature and smashed countless T-virus vials in the sewers. Subsequently, rats began to spread the virus throughout the city sewer system, and into the city itself. This brought the outbreak to critical levels, and soon enough, most of the city was infected.

Zombies littered the streets, leaving many citizens completely helpless. As the Raccoon Police Department staged countless attempts to quell the horror, they were all met with failure thanks to Chief Brian Irons meddling with the ammunition and weapon stockpile, causing a mismanagement which would prove deadly. However, zombies were not the only creatures the helpess citizens of Raccoon City had to contend with. The city was crawling with monstrosities like Cerberus, Lickers, Scissor Tails and more horrific mutations such as the Grave Digger. Mayor Michael Warren escaped just prior, and the National Guard quickly set up barricades around Raccoon City to prevent entry and escape. These barricades were finally completed around September 30th

Objective• It is September 1998 and the action centres on the ill-fated Raccoon City and the horrific consequences of the deadly T-virus outbreak, developed at the Umbrella facility. With a cover up required, Umbrella orders an elite team into Raccoon City to destroy all evidence of the outbreak and eliminate any survivors. Meanwhile, the US Government has quarantined the city and dispatched its own team of elite soldiers to determine the source of the mysterious outbreak.

Raccoon City was an urban community located in the American mid-west. At its peak, it had a population of over one hundred thousand. While existing as a town initially, it was thanks to the many donations by Umbrella that Raccoon prospered into a full fledged city in the late 20th century.

The Raccoon City Police Department (R.P.D. for short), was the main law enforcement entity for the former midwestern town of Raccoon City and the surrounding areas such as the nearby Arklay Mountains. The Raccoon SWAT was part of this organization, with the S.T.A.R.S. teams being an associated agency.

Judging by the large number of matresses, bodies and zombie police officers, it is likely that the City Hall served as a safe zone for refugee's fleeing the zombies, similar to the function of the city's police station, however City Hall was inundated with zombies and the surviving civilians and police officers hiding inside were killed or infected.

Raccoon General Hospital

The Raccoon General Hospital was a medical practice in the midwestern town of Raccoon City located in the north of Raccoon City, close to the St. Michael Clock Tower and Raccoon Park. While not the only hospital, it was certainly the city's main practice

Raccoon Park

Raccoon Park was an attraction within the former midwestern mountain community of Raccoon City. It was located adjacent to the Raccoon General Hospital and Saint Michael Clock Tower on one side and Umbrella's Incineration Disposal Plant P-12A. The park, while small, had a number of features. The path leading to the Umbrella facility went over a large pond and a garden, while the other went to a water fountain and the city's cemetery.

Saint Michael Clock Tower

Prior to the outbreak, this ornate gothic clock tower was a popular tourist attraction featuring in postcards of the city. During the outbreak however, the clock tower was assigned as an extraction point for the UBCS but was heavily damaged when the extraction helicopter crashed into the tower following an attack by a rocket launcher fired by Nemesis.

The base of the tower was lavishly furnished and presumably occupied at one point, as it included a small chapel, library, living room and a bedroom besides the more functional mechanical rooms in the tower itself. The tower was secured with several locks and puzzles featuring a timekeeping theme.

Incineration Disposal Plant P-12A

Incineration Disposal Plant P-12A, also known as the "Disused Plant" to the public, was built by the Umbrella Corporation for the 'safe' disposal of Bio Organic Weapons, unwanted experiments, and general organic waste sent from local laboratories. Using a special type of gas to break down the organic matter of specimens dropped into a large dissolving pool within the facility, the plant was able to efficiently dispose of a large quantity of infected or dangerous material. It was disguised as an abandoned factory north-east of the Raccoon Park,

Situated in the mid-west of the United States of America, Raccoon City started out as a small rural town community that through the many developments ushered in by Umbrella, soon flourished and prospered into a city. Prior to Umbrella's actual involvement, Raccoon was built upon the hard work of its citizens. In 1969, the Kite Brothers established the first underground railway system. While the system was initially very basic, it was fully supported by the citizens of Raccoon who used the railway regularly and made many contributions towards its success. Building upon this, they soon created their own company. Another early contributor was Michael Warren, an electrical engineer who moved to the town in 1961.

During his time, Warren worked on the pre-existing cable car systems and was also in charge of maintaining the town's growing electrical requirements. By 1968, Raccoon had developed into a city. From this point on, it would be known as Raccoon City. In 1988, Michael Warren was elected as the new mayor of Raccoon City. With his many personal contributions towards the city's development, Warren was a popular choice of the citizens. Unfortunately, it was believed that he was also under the influence of Umbrella, whose control over the city was increasing dramatically. As part of his administration, Warren accepted a number of monetary donations from Umbrella, and worked with them in modernising the city and establishing a number of public services that would later prove vital to Raccoon City.

This campaign was known as "A Bright 21st Century for Raccoon City" and was wholly supported by Umbrella themselves. Part of this extensive development project was the construction of a municipal building, as well as a new hospital in 1992. The Kite Brothers Railway was also renovated, now sporting 8 stations and stretching over 8.5 miles. Thanks to Warren's support of Umbrella, the insidious company continued to shower the city with financial contributions and eventually gained total control over the entirety of Raccoon City. It is no doubt thanks to Warren that Umbrella's activities in the Arklay forest region were kept secret by his administration.

In 1996, the Special Tactics and Rescue Service (S.T.A.R.S.) established a branch in Raccoon City. By 1998, Raccoon City was considered "Home of Umbrella". In April 1998, the city's water supply was reported to be contaminated. While it is unknown exactly where such contamination originated, it can be theorised that the P-12A Incinerator Facility was a primary contributor. "And then things went straight to Hell

Leaning up against one of the wall of the hospital rooms ,she was there panting and trying to hold her breath. Shit she thought, why now. She was stationed on the ground close to the opening of the door. A small hole pocked through the wall gave her eyes out in the hallway, so she could see if any random zombie decided to grow a pair and attack her. Her brow dented as she was focousing on how to get out with causing much attention to herself. She let out a sigh as she flicked her head back, her bangs flying to the left and out of her eyes. Her mouth was relaxed a little but tightened when she heard any type of noise. She knew there was many exits but which one was the right one.

Her position was in the Raccoon General Hospital. She was on the sixth floor and had been there for about four hours. She kept time with her watch and a small piece of glass on the floor so she could mark the wall. She wasn't really trapped but wasn't free either. She let out a sigh again, wishing she had her partner, things would have been much easier. Her thought process was snapped away when she heard a groan coming down the left side of the hall. Her eyes narrowed as she peaked out but saw nothing. Close maybe, to close for comfort that's for sure. Her eyes were darting everywhere but settled onto her hands that held the handle tightly and firm.

She had about six bullets left. Not enough to go on a rampage, or just to get to an elevator. She would have to go airborne maybe, use the stair case. She sighed again, knowing the clock was ticking and she couldn't stay there for long. She looked away toward the corner of the room, then toward the window. I'd be just my luck when I run for that, they'll come at me from behind. Her mind was running like machinery , thinking because she couldn't talk, jumping from plan to plan. She heard the noise again but it sounded from the right this time.

Oh god are they going to flank me, no way...yes way...shit I'm going have to move soon. She gritted her teeth as she could latterly here big ben ticking. This was going to be a challenge , but it would have been worse if she was caught up on the second floor. She closed her eyes in thought. There was only one way she was going to get out of her, and that would be taking the stairs from outside. I'm going to have to leave through the window to survive...what aloud of shit she thought, just the day to fuck up my mood.

Who, now, was the fool? Who now, stood miles and miles from the ashes, having witnessed the cloud rise and dissipate into the sky's unloving embrace? No more would I doubt my own apocolyptic predictions, my pessimistic outlooks. This was reality; if it possessed life, it would find a way to portay its self worth higher than that of the lives around it. Man was no different than animal. When the snake sought the life of the bird, it knew the bird had eggs in its nest. At least the snake had the decency to follow through and eat the eggs as well...the politicians of this country let us die and decided whoever lived was "pretty damn lucky."

But I suppose that this train of thought would lead me only to more obvious truths. Instead, I'd focus on the task at hand; walking. Taking. Ripping whatever I could out of the hands of the people around me. Not for my own gain of course...but for the benefit of the world. The weak were always left to die, and this is not an act of cruelty or malice. It is merely the way the world turns. The strong survive and the weak die; these undead. Zombies as the Americans call them…they are pitiful beings. They are so simple to kill, but numerous…lethal even, as a horde. It is only natural that those foolish enough to gather a large number and then die from the incapability of handling them all was a concept of the same design. Their ability to strategize was weak; and so they died.

‘Please! Please god!’ The young man cried out as he turned the corner of an alleyway, wearing a dirty business suit and clutching an empty revolver in his hand. Three of the monsters rounded the corner, tearing through the street and passing the Raccoon general hospital. I watched as he cried, getting closer to me. If he was fast enough to get away, then he would have been determined worthy. However, the way he begged for his life and cried like a frightened child was repulsive. He tripped over a corpse and collapsed, thinking himself safe because he still had time to get up and keep running.

He laid eyes on me, as I was standing right in front of the hospital doors. My black hat veiled my eyes as it was set low. ‘Sir! Sir please, help!’ He began to rise from the ground, when the corpse he fell over reached forward and grabbed him by the ankle. He fell once again, and kicked at the monsters face as it came to life, hissing and growling a guttural hunger. He managed to fend it off, but was all too late. He emanated an ear-splitting shriek as the three chasing collapsed onto him, digging their fingers into his flesh with enough force to tear muscle. They began to gnaw on his shoulders and throat, one of them digging its finger into his eyeball without even attempting it. I tilted my head as he continued to cry out, spasming until the shock from the pain took over.

He continued to seizure, but his screams were silent. His body fell limp, and for a minute or so they just kept on eating. I watched, the street empty save for myself and the four of them. The one on the ground had crawled forward and was lazily chewing on his shins. I had seen enough. The weak were preying on the weaker, and that was the long and short of it. I swept the sheath of my katana to the ground, the sword still resting within. The metal tapped loudly against the stone, and the heads of all four shot up.

Once again they began to hiss and growl, and rose in unison. They began a slow walk, then a jog, and then a full sprint in my direction. I waited until they were about four feet from me, and raised the sheath into the air, pointing it straight at them. I directed the weapon to lodge in the mouth of one of them, his rotted skull exploding from behind from the impact. I released the sheath, and as he fell backwards from the momentum, closed my hand once more around the handle of the sword. I spun in a full circle, sweeping the sword at head level. The two on either side of the leader staggered past me, and froze.

I reached out with my free hand and grabbed the sheath of my sword, pulling it from the now permanently dead abomination. I spun my sword in a helicopter fashion in front of me with the other hand, landing the blunt tip on the edge of the sheath with a precision befitting an authentic master samurai. I slid the blade into its sheath, and the click of hilt meeting metal sounded from the act. In the instant the sound echoed across the street, the top halves of both zombies craniums slid from their place and landed onto the ground. Both bodies fell, and I lowered my weapon. Casually, I walked towards the one crawling towards me on the ground. I raised my foot, and with one swift stomp, crushed its skull.

I raised my head to the sky, and smiled. I spoke a single sentence to myself, relishing the feeling.

Il mio potere....incontrastato.

I turned away once more, making my way into the hospital. I walked casually to the nearest flight of stairs, crossing only one hallway which was unoccupied by the living or dead. I hit the stairs, and continued upwards, hoping to get to the roof and survey the area. I made it up to about the sixth floor, before I ran into a barricade preventing me from the seventh. Oh well…it would take too much time and make too much noise to move this around. I’d just have to look out through a nearby window, and see what takes place. I left the stairwell, and upon opening the door, was met by three corridors with several different rooms.

Hm…I could go creeping around in the hopes that I’m not noticed. But that was just foolish. What if you pass up an enemy without knowing, and then accidentally alert another one? The one you left behind is a potential flanking threat, and you would have been better off killing them both. This thought process was what led me to stand in front of the stairwell door, silently close it behind me, and let out a long low whistle. Five or six low moans echoed in response, and I heard the shuffle of dragging footsteps all about me. I had eight clips of handgun ammunition, not including the two fully-loaded magazines already in my nineteen elevens. I wanted to preserve ammo and keep the noise to a minimum, however, so I raised my sword.

Beneath the shadowed veil of my hat, my eyes sparkled with the delight of proving my strength once more. My power. I waited for my enemies to close in, letting out another, higher-pitch whistle. I spoke quietly to myself, waiting with bells on.

“Come for me, then.”

Kail left the room he had looted inside the Hospital. the Stash was right where he had been told and he had acquired some Inferno anti-B.O.W grenades. spinning he started to move down the hall when he heard it. spinning he spotted it. a lone one. slow too. must have been rotting for a while. he pulled his pistol and put a single round through the things head. walking down the hall he held his pistol in one hand and drew his knife with the other. in these quarters the creature might be anywhere.

spotting a hole that had been drilled straight through the wall. right next to a door as well.keeping clear of its line of sight he slowly slid a spent casing close to the hole before throwing it through. the casing made a loud TING as it hit the linoleum flooring. anyone in there would hopefully know that a B.O.W. wouldn't do that. he then knocked on the door once.

She paused for a second. Her ears picking up on a faint whistle. Her eyes narrowed as she took this moment to stand up. Someone else was here, and not just anyone. He made noise, he's luring them. Why , such an idiotic move, it made no sense but she was the one to not pass up a moment of freedom. She put her gun in her holster and walked toward the door. She put her hands against it as she leaned in. Her body barely touching the door as her ear was pressed against it. She could hear them moving about, them all parting form there spate rooms like a dorm. The sound was like a siren form an ambulance. It was low then high then faded into nothing but groans that could barely be heard.

She stepped back as she crossed her arms. Someone was out there and clearly one who was prepared to fight off with these things. She looked around the room, the sweat from her brow inching down her face. Her communicator was offline so reaching her partner form who know where , was clearly out of the question. Her knife, she still had it after that face off with one of the zombies. Massive thing he was, lucky she got out of their alive. She looked around the room more seriously , knowing this window could only last for so long.

Her eyes spotted a bar up top holding up the drapes that the nurses use to divide the room. She grabbed a stool, guessing this was a family room and they came in to visit. She stepped on it ,quietly making sure the attention was only drawn to whoever it was outside. She gripped firmly on to the bar, her hands evenly apart for a good tug and pull. She counted to three in her head but pulled on two. Ripping it off from the walls and the rings came flying down like rain. Hitting the floor before she could ever stop it. The sound was like a loud bell that rang for the kids to release.

"Shit." She took the bar and slammed it down on to the floor and kicked off the end of it. The sharp point that was there to make it stick in the first palace showed itself. She smiled as she knew this would do, and prepared herself for one hell of a war. She kicked open the door, not for style but for any zombie that was behind it. She held the thing up like a spear. She looked down the hall near the stair case toward a man. It was funny though, what she aw. It was like monkey in the middle. The man seemed to have a sword and she had a spear. Both having sharp objects. And the monkey, the zombies there staring at both sides. Who was going to move first was a good damn question.

when the door fell Kail was surprised. even more when he saw a woman with what looked like a sharpened stripper pol pulled out of the ground. spinning to face the Zombies he put them down with a quick burts each shot from his pistol finding a eye to fly through.

" any particular reason you're acting like you want to stab me with a Pole?" he glanced at her with an eyebrow raised. " i can think of better things to stab somebody with."
( Inferno. the flame grenades.)

" First day of work " Leon says as he smiles while driving his RPD police car that was stationed for him. It was his first day of work as an RPD officer. He was moving to Raccoon city, The city where he will work as a Police officer. Hence the name, Raccoon Police Department. He kept on thinking why they would name a city "Raccoon". He just smirked and continued driving on the highway.

It was already dark, It took him quite awhile to get to raccoon city. The sky was dark, And there were barely any stars that can be seen. The clouds were blocking the view of the beautiful starry sky. Leon didn't want to look up, He might get into an accident. Everything was quiet, And it annoyed Leon and he decided to turn on the Radio. He thrusted his hand forward on the Radio to turn it on. The moment he pressed the on button of the radio, There was only Static Noises.

"That's funny, It wasn't like this when I turned it on in this highway before " Leon said as he raises an eyebrow. He then tried to switch station to station. But everything was the same, Nothing.

Now Leon was really creeped out. Raccoon city is an Active City. Clearly, Radio stations in the city wouldn't go off, Not ALL of them. Leon narrowed his eyes and sigh as he kept on Searching for a station that is still on. He passed by the sign that was saying. " Welcome to Raccoon City " . Meaning, He was near now, Only a couple of meters away into the city's entrance.

Feeling annoyed, Leon stopped searching for a station and turned the radio off. He sighed deeply while switching the gear to 3rd gear to slow down his speed for city speed limits. He doesn't want to be scolded by his chief in the first day of his work. But something was odd, The City was strangely, Quiet ?

" I'm sure they described Raccoon city a busy place but.. Why are most of the lights off .. ? " he said as he realizes that the street lamps are off. He could barely see infront of him, So Leon turned on his Head lights.

But, The moment he turned on those head lights. A person, A man, Was standing infront of his driving. Without any warning, Leon accidentally hit the man as he was sent flying and the car was forced to a stop. Leon's eyes widen. What has he done ?

Quickly, He got out of his car to go help the man. He carried his 9mm pistol just incase this man was crazy, Or high in drugs. He ran towards him as he kneels down besidde him shaking his shoulder.

"S-sir! Are you alright !? " he called out to him, Scared for both him and himself. He can hear moaning, Soft moanings. He tried to make him face upward so that he can breath. He pushed the man only to see him in a weird and disgusting form. The man was rotting, Or decaying, The skin near his teeth were rotting showing his Gums and rotten teeth.

"S-sir ? " he asked in an unsure tone. He was somewhat scared of him now, instead of his chief. The man the lunged forward with a what seems to be a growl and a moan. Quickly, he was able to resist the man. He was forcing his face towards Leon's face. And his breath, Pehew, Smelled like corpses.

" S-SIR! " he called out to him in a panicky tone, " G-get off me ! " he said while trying to fight back. The man was insanely strong, He was pushing the man's neck with both his arms. He was clapping his mouth repeatedly, He wanted to bite Leon.

" S-SIR ! " he called out again, But the man wasn't listening. He really was crazy. He took out his 9mm from his holster and pressed the barrel under the chin of the man.

" Sir ! I will shoot if you don't listen ! " he threatens the man, But still he wasn't listening. He was starting to lose energy from his left arm. " SIR ! " he screamed out and the man was groaning loudly.

Leon closed his eyes and pressed the trigger. There was a loud BANG ! with the sound of flesh being penetrated and bones breaking and blood gushing out. Then the man stopped moving.

Leon, Afraid and confused pushed the man away. He then sits up and started to breath heavily. " What the hell was going on !? " he yelled . Then he can hear more Moaning from distances.

He looked to his left to see a woman, only a few meters away, walking towards him. When she walked towards a light, Revealing her face, She was just like the man he just killed. Rotting and decayed. And then more appeared. Leon stood back up, Aiming his gun towards the nearest one.

" So.. This is my first day of work.. " he said in a low tone. He had already killed a man in his first day of work as a police officer. Now, The rest will probably go for him like the man. Trying to get a piece of him, Literally. But Leon won't let that happen.

He then presses his trigger again, And there was a loud BANG !

[*mean, *incendiary grenades. Capital ‘I’ is unnecessary, as it is not a name or title.]

They began to gather. I loved the way they carried themselves; such uniformity. There were those out there that were even more powerful than these. There were creatures that could crawl along the walls, with incredible amounts of strength and agility. However, they all lacked in that one strength that kept me alive and well; unflinching logic. In the face of mortal peril there is nothing more valuable than a man who is unafraid to die. There is no price on a man who lacks any sort of fear, and is immune to emotional trauma. No greater asset than the sort of man who is capable of killing any living person, as swiftly and effectively as he killed those already dead. I was that sort of man.

They began to converge on my position. On this floor there were only seven of them in total. I was about to begin my assault, when a gunshot sounded from the floor below. The echo of the firearm caused the creatures to hesitate, before they continued towards me. I narrowed my eyes beneath the shadow of my rimmed black hat. The sound of another fool who believes firearms to be an effective weapon, and inside of a building no less. Was I the only one who retained a sense of reason anymore? I began to recite my own survival methods in my head as they approached, counting down the feet away that they were.

“Know thy enemy.”

These undead respond to sound more than anything else. Some of them are still able to see, those whose eyes hadn’t rotted completely or been devoured. Those ones are slightly more perceptive, but damn near all of them still had their ears. They could hear a pin drop in a quiet room, so to use a firearm was not only an unwise decision, but it was costly. Ammunition doesn’t grow on trees, after all. To do so in a building at that…even more reckless. Four walls may build a home, but they also build a cage. A cage for the undead to pour into once they hear the sound of a firearm being discharged. Now not only have you gathered the attention of all the undead –within- the building (making your chances of escape that much lessened) but you’ve rallied those outside the walls as well, doubling your chances of being caught and inevitably eaten alive.

Ten feet from the nearest one. I brought my sheath to my side, holding it in my right hand and letting my left hand hover just an inch away from the handle of the sword. I brought my left foot back and let my right stand firm, bending at the knees and bowing my head ever-so-slightly. It was at that moment that a loud crash rang out from another room, this one much closer. I pursed my lips as a number of the creatures turned to see, and was astonished to find a woman as she kicked the door down, metal spear in tow. There was a moment of almost comical silence as we all stared, she, the undead, and I. The silence was broken by my smooth, low voice as I chuckled aloud.

The monsters turned in unison to face me, and I rose from my Battoujutsu. She would not see my superior techniques so easily; they were meant only for those proven worthy. Instead I took the basic stance of Hasso-gamae. I turned my body to the left, brought my left foot backwards, and held the sword in both hands. I raised the handle up behind my face and kept the blade pointed horizontally pointed forward at eye-level. The stance of challenger. You see ever since I was a child I had been fascinated by eastern martial arts. I took classes for years, practiced diligently on my own, hoping one day to find a more practical use for my skills.

Fate had answered me with the end of the world.

The closest one broke into a sprint, riling the others up. He reached out at me with both arms, and I thrust my katana forward. I pierced the dead center of his cranium, before twisting my body in a one-hundred eighty degree circle and slicing one half of his head open. As he fell to the ground behind me, I continued the motion by sweeping the blade upwards diagonally. I cleaved another head in two, my swordsmanship so precise, that a high-pitched whistle could be heard from the weapon whenever I swept it through the air. I lowered my sword to face the next opponent, and she would find that no blood stained the metal, so swift were my strikes.

The third of nine stumbled forward, weaving from side to side on a broken ankle. I strafed the creature, and it fell forward trying to grab me. I raised not my sword but my sheath to lodge it into the throat of another. It rasped as it attempted to hiss at me through the strain, and I raised my sword in my left hand to stab the creature up through the chin. The top of my katana poked out from its skull, now covered in coagulated blood. I pulled the weapon free, just in time to spin around and swing my sword downward. The undead that had a broken ankle had returned to try and grab me again, but with that last swing I cut its right leg off entirely, sending it crashing to the ground. I spun my katana in the air with nothing but my fingertips and wrist, letting it whistle as I spun it three times, before catching it upside down and stabbing into the head of the creature.

Like an authentic samurai, I twisted the blade to the right and then the left before removing it from the corpse. The last of them that were close to me rushed forward, howling with an intense hunger. I brought my right hand and sheath behind me, raising my left hand and sword high above my head. I swept downward in a perfect vertical line, and then thrust forward with my sheath. The result was the creature being cut in symmetrical halves, and then those halves pushed apart by the middle using the end of my sheath. From the momentum of its sprint either half of the corpse fell past me. I stood tall, back to my excellent posture. I spun my blade in the air, caught the tip of the blade on its sheath, and then elegantly slid the weapon into its place.

Three remained, but all three were converging on the woman holding the spear. I wonder how she would handle the situation. I don’t know about her….

But I was certainly enjoying myself.

The woman had not time for games, no war more like it. She saw the man, hesitant on him. Friend or foe , doesn't matter really. She had her spear in hand as it held tightly on the middle part. Her eyes narrowed as the three were inching toward her. Her mind paid no intentions to the three rotting creatures , she was more interested in the way the man fought. She had remembered an old friend who was addicted to such ways. Making and using his katans. Telling her the blade is not a tool, but your friend. It is you ,an extinction of your body. A lot of people he told that to never got it, or just didn't care to listen but she could tell his man was very skilled. Of course she took his lesson to heart and trained with him for about a year.

That itself was a refining memory. She would hold with her even if she died. Her attention though was snapped when on snarled. His hands reaching out for , his mouth opening wide as he jumped a little on his fours. She only smirked when she had looked down toward it. The spear she had wasn't nearly as long or sharp enough to make a decent cut or a fatal blow. Batting ring she thought. This would be simple, and a fun game to play. She bent down toward the undead creature who swiftly moved toward her as she backed away. As it's right hand reached out for her cheek, she stood up, lifting her left leg and smashing his face with her boot. That didn't do much damage, and she wasn't trying to either.

The zombie how ever slid back ,as it got back up screaming. The spear which was a little in between her legs. Her hand slid down the spear as she smiled, leaning her head up against it. "Play ball right" She moved her hand down more, now gripping firmly on to it. She had her right leg swing side ways then toward the pool kicking it upwards. She allowed the bar to be loose as it swung around in her palm. As the zombie lunged, she gripped the handle once more and brought it back. With a force swing she slammed the undead's head in to the wall, the sharp end piece, now jammed through once was his skull. She tossed away the spear , leaving it with the dead and pulled out her combat knife.

She wanted to paly it by close range. As she leaned back like she was about to attempt a running long jump, the undead charged. She leaned in now sprinting toward them a smirk planted on her face. The second one lunged , her body stopping with her right foot, putting it down sideways. Her body making a 180 around toward the undead's side. As he was about to land his lunge she did a quick jab through the back of his head then swung to the left. His head coming clean off with a little blood splattering against the wall. The next one took no time to spare as he lunged for her. Her foot turned straight again as she tucked in her right arm, a little ways above her waist.

As he came close his mouth reaching for her neck, she upper cuted up, her hand penatrating his chin. Her hand stuck in a mess she used her left to swing her blade up diagonally creating another clean cut. She flung her hand that was caught in his chin to the side making the body fall. She spun her blade, getting the blood off before putting it back in her holster. "Not as much nearly fun ...the guy with the axe was way more of a challenge."

spotting the mess going on downstairs he saw the Chaos begin and end just as quickly. shifting he started to move for the stairs and quickly made it down the 6 stories without event. opening the door he stuck his knife in the back of a Zombies neck and it collapsed. shifting quickly he planted a high kick on one rotting child's head. the neck snapped and it collapsed. suddenly he was his by a old man from behind. turning the old man tried to bite his gas mask but the rigid steel bands held long enough for Kail to sever the spinal cord. shifting the dead body he fired a single shot into the final victim that had been moving towards his. the shot pierced a eye and collapsed the creature. moving and a semi-run he stopped in the shadows near the exit to observe the survivors. his mission might require them dead if they could link Umbrella to this.

BANG ! BANG ! went the sound of his gun. Each press of the trigger fires out a 9mm bullet from the gun's barrel. A single bullet can kill a man when shot in the chest. But for some reason, They are not going down. He shot the nearest one to him, about 5 meters, Four times in the chest. The girl still kept coming at him, Raising her hand forward to grab him.

" Stay back ! " he yelled out, Aiming for the girl's head. She was very ugly now, Well, He's not sure if she was pretty to begin with anyway. Her face, Was really creeping him out. The cheeks where slowly rotting away, Showing her gums and teeth. Her eyes are blank, Very blank. Only a trace of what seems to be her iris are left. And mostly, Her throat, It seems like it was cut off violently by a mad man.

The more he thinks about this, The closer the girl walks towards him. Leon fired another shot, This time, The bullet went astray and hit the head, just underneath the right eye of the girl by accident, Or luck, She immediately drops dead. This made Leon think, Either they die after 5 shots, Or die if hit in the head. The first one seems irrational so he tested out the second one.

He aimed for the next one in the head, Took some time for his hand to steady up for him to look up at his iron sight. Then pressed the trigger as there went another loud BANG. The bullet hit in between the eyes of the man. This time, Unlike before, The man falls back, Quiet and dead.

So a head shot really is the weak spot. This realization made Leon feel at ease. Shooting him in the head conserves his bullets, And Distancing himself from them with his hand gun is pretty much what he wanted. Rather than go upfront and do a CQC with them.

" Staying here is not a smart idea.. " He said as he walks backwards still aiming his gun towards the ones in front. He took a side glance behind him,Showing an Alley that leads somewhere or nowhere at all.

" Better than nothing.. " He said, As he turns around and run towards the alley. Hoping to get out of the streets and find a safe place to be in at the moment. And also, He only has two magazines left. Excluding the one in his gun. About 3 more shots are left in it.

Hahahaha! She handled herself excellently! Brazen and bold, showing her strength and courage above grace and precision. She wanted those things to know who was in charge as she slew them, and I enjoyed that pride very much. But there was mroe to survival than being able to fight them off. There was that most crucial of all things; mindset. It was far too early to say what hers was.

Another gunshot.

I strode past the woman without saying a word. I went to the window, and poked my head out. I looked downstairs and watched, waited. No one left the building, and I couldn't hear any screams. Yet someone had discharged a weapon; so the evidence points to that either there's something big enough to kill in one instant in here with us...or the survivor is waiting in hiding for us to come his way. I pursed my lips. Thugs looking for a free score. Maybe rapists who'd followed the woman into the building. Or even better, some mutated undead monster who was ready to devour the first thing it saw. Either way...my sword and I wouldn't be kept waiting.

The woman said something about 'the guy with the axe'. I didn't know who or what that was. But I had a question in response, as she found the tip of my sword inches from her nose.

"What about de man with de sword, mi bella milite?"

I chuckled in my dark, low voice before lowering my weapon and stepping around her. I grabbed the rim of my hat, which still veiled my eyes beneath its black surface, and tipped it down in a show of respect. I then continued on my way towards the stairs, my Yamato close in hand.

She turned smiled as she flipped her knife and followed him. He looked like he knew where he was going, and capable of fighting off a good part of them. "Man with the axe. His big I would say 6'5 tops. Muscle man wears a hood like an executioner. He carries a battle axe , big bigger than me and you. He tells me has five brothers, just like him. " She smirked walking past the spear she made. She took it with one pull and swung it to her side to let the remaining blood slip off. She carried it firmly with her combat knife in her other hand. "Stronger , you could say he can kill off any of these undead including the special ones."

shifting into deeper shadows Kail sheathed his knife and quietly pulled his assault rifle to ready and kept his pistol ready in his other hand. he knew that no Umbrella emblem was on his uniform and that they would think him Government if they saw him. he was equipped and armored the part and knew how to make it look government. he moved to where anyone coming in would have to know where he was to spot hi and shifted until his gas mask lenses were hidden in shadows as well. then pointing his rifle at the stairs and pistol at the main door he waited

"Dere are three things wrong with your statement, mi bella milite."

I paused at the second-to-last flight of stairs, already well aware that someone or something was waiting for us on the bottom floor. Sitting on the wall was a fire extinguisher, and I raised my arm in front of it. With one swift thrust my elbow smashed through the glass, and I then grabbed the instrument before sliding my sheath and sword into my belt. I looked over my shoulder at the woman as I tossed the extinguisher up and down in the air, my eyes still hidden by my rimmed black hat.

"De first being dat dere are no 'special' ones. We are de predators, and dey all are prey. Second, is dat you need not fear de dead, axe or otherwise. Only de living. Lastly...strength is nothing without strategy. So I would advise dat you run closely behind me, or suffer whatever fate you might at de hands of de hunter lying-in-wait for us just beyond dis door."

I took a few more steps down to the top of the last flight, and crouched so I could see out beneath the door frame. The room was flooded in darkness. He could be hiding in any corner, so trying to flush him out would take too long and provide too many risks. The only option was to obscure my own path of escape, and that's where the fire hydrant came in. I walked down the stairs and stopped at the last step. I turned to look at the female soldier, and kissed at the air between us, before turning my body and lobbing the hydrant into the air towards the entrance.

My left hand reached into my jacket and drew, with a practised expertise, one of my SW1911's. I fired just one shot, and it landed dead center in the still-flying extinguisher. The resulting explosion would not only knock back anyone too close to the entrance, but flood the room with the fire-suppressant and obscure the view of nearly the entire floor. The makeshift fog would only last about half a minute, but that was more than enough time for me to break into a sprint and vanish amongst the white. I emerged from the other side and quickly turned, exiting the hospital and placing my back against the side of the door. I kept my handgun close in hand, waiting to see that my pretty new survivor friend had made it out alive.

Also to become the new hunter lying-in-wait. If he thought he could take a man like me down, with so many years of experience in stealth operations, he had a serious revelation in store.

( o god no..... but i am made of fire!!)

when the fire extinguisher came flying through the window Kail fired a single round of rifle ammo at the door to the stairs.when a pistol shot punctured the thing and the floor flooded with fog he put his pistol away and pulled a incendiary grenade and held his rifle one handed. moved to the door to the outside and kicked it down. rolling through the space where the door had been he spun and threw the activated grenade high. the charge would go off in thirty seconds. spinning he spotted a man in black with a black hat. aiming his rifle strait at him he said nothing other than " Drop the pistol." his voice modulated by the microphone and small speaker so that he could be heard through his gas mask. his voice was changed to sound inhumanly deep.

She smirked as she watched him dash in to the white smoke. It made no sense to go the same way he went. just the noise alone would attract dozens of them down to this floor. She looked to her right and saw a hall that led to the cafeteria. She took the spear and pointed down the hall as she walked along it. She continued to walk passing one room then entering another that looked like a child wait room. A smile crept upon her face when she saw a window. Outside looked like a few bushes and some trees. A sidewalk that led to the parking lot and a bench. She put her spear down and walked toward it tapping it with her knuckle " Breakable." She went back toward the spear and picked it up.

She walked back over toward the window and exhaled. Dropping the spear she grabbed one of the small metal stools that was bye a table and magazine. She lifted it into the air then threw it at the window. A big clash echoed through the hospital as the chair came flying out. Broken glasses following afterwards and falling to the concrete floor. She picked up her spear and jumped up without touching the broken glass on the seal. Landing with an umph her feet firmly planted on the ground she looked up toward another man and the one she saw before. "oh"

She smiled as she threw the spear back on to her shoulder and patted her pants off. Kicking the chair away from her walking path she smiled as she waved toward the two. She stopped a few inches away from the one that had said drop the pistol. She waited a few seconds before clearing her throat. " just to give you gentlemen a heads up...we have just created a magnate for them...I don't know about you but I plan to see this shit whole out...and me staying here won't do." She moved her hand to her ear then pointed toward the hospital. "There is at least like 12 maybe 16 floors that are filled with the undead...and i was just on the 6 th floor..."

((It's beginning to seem rather impossible to get on an even level with you, Firelava.))

I had just placed my back against the wall when I heard the sound of a grenade pin being pulled, and rifle mechanisms shaking. I raised my pistol up and aimed right onto him before even turning my head. I locked my gaze onto the man, but he'd already had the drop on me. 'Drop the pistol.' I smirked from beneath the rim of my hat. I could kill him in one shot, square to the forehead. If he thought a man like me couldn't do it, then he was seriously underestimating me. As was he about this situation. I pointed my pistol upwards, and leaned back against the wall calmly. I moved the weapon slowly into my jacket and holstered it there. I then put my arms behind my head, interlacing my fingers and resting my hands on my neck.

"Tsk tsk tsk...you must be...Umbrella, if I am not mistaken? Si...any normal military would be more worried about keeping others alive den disarming dem. In addition to dat, you've been watching us at least since we entered de hospital. So unless you're a common thief, you're another one of de dogs who work for de men responsible for dis...apocalypse. I'd go with de route of thief...if you didn't have such high-grade equipment."

I took three slow steps forward, and raised my left foot into the air. I swung it backwards, and then forwards with a moderate amount of effort. My timing had been perfect; the incendiary grenade let out a hollow echo as I kicked it over both the man and woman. It soared through the air and down the street about a quarter of a block, before exploding and turning several of the undead into deep-fried dead. I shrugged my shoulders.

"Now, you have dem coming from both directions. So...I'd suggest you tell me what it is you want hurriedly before we become overrun. I don't have time for codardo who hide in de shadows."

( its the same reaction that we are supposed to have if somebody throws a grenade in a room with us. i screwed it up the first time and can confirm that tear gas stings like $#%^)

looking at the man then at the woman behind him he figured that he was in trouble. " the reason i aimed at you is you where trying to eliminate me. And judging from the last Umbrella agent we found out here if i was Umbrella you'd be dead. they have managed to pick off the rest of my team." moving slightly he looked at the burning zombies. then looking at the woman behind him he shifted and let his rifle slide into its hanging position. " you are right though. we need to move out fast."

"Of course I am right...I have been here for ten days." She turned on her heel and began to walk. Their voices became louder when they each went down a floor of the building. You could hear some from the sides of the streets making their way. "Troublesome boys are." She sighed as she looked both ways then behind her. "So who had a ride...I mean im all up for running." The voice got louder along with one massive sound. She whistled as she laughed a little. "Yup there coming alright , thanks to you two who made the loudest noise."

"We? What is dis...'we' nonsense?"

I reached into my jacket and unclasped the hoslters of my M1911's. I then placed my left hand around the end of my sheath, drawing both it and sword from my belt. I straightened out my bright red jacket and tipped my hat down some more, pulling my fingers across the rim and smiling at the both of them. I took a few steps down the stairs and glanced out across the streets. They were coming for sure. But to travel around with these two? Oh, certainly not. I wouldn't be caught dead with anything like the two of them. I mean the military woman, perhaps...but now that I've listened to her a bit more...I'm not so sure.

I placed my weapon onto my shoulder, tilting my head at them. Behind me, a small crowd of the undead were beginning to gather in the main lobby of the hospital. My smile remained as I spoke to them, shrugging my shoulders.

"I have a safe place, out of reach to dese creatures. But I'm afraid, I'm not quite willing to share. Mi dispacie, but one of you has stalked me and de other of you has not stopped talking, all in de first five minutes since we met. I'd rather be rid of you both, so...ciao."

I kissed at the air between the female soldier and I, and then flipped the bird at the man. I turned my back on the both of them, and shoved my sheath into the eye socket of the nearest undead. Once he was both dead and securely latched on, I shoved him to the right and cleared a path. I hopped over the two or three dead I'd managed to put down, and then dropped down to grab a hollow metal pipe. I reared it over my shoulder, and then threw it with great force. It smashed into the side of a car, and the resounding ring from the hollow metal caused quite the ruckus behind the other two survivors.

I put two fingers to my hat, waved goodbye, and disappeared around an alleyway. Perhaps we'd meet again? Perhaps we wouldn't...perhaps they'd follow me. There was never any knowing in the end of the world. But if I were to gather a select group, then -I- would gather them. I wouldn't be stalked by some foolish milite or rescued by some naive military girl who thinks she can handle it all. We'd see in time, just what these two were made of.

The female shrugged toward the other man."I have somewhere to go" she looked down the street. You would be dumb enough to travel down there with so many. Coming at you. She went straight toward some stairs that led to a roof top. She ran with the spear in her right up the stairs. Their an undead waited but was soon thrown off the rooftop like a golf ball. She had not time to smile or say a smart ass comment. She continued to run not bothering to wave the man behind or follow the next. She hissed as she jumped down in an alley way with trash toppled over and a shoe that must have fallen from a child. She looked around the started to stride down the alley way seeing if they were still going toward the hospital. Lucky her they were all distracted by the noise and fumes that were in the air. She took off after the last one made its way down. Heading toward a neighborhood a few

Les from where she was.

cursing inside his gas mask Kail pulled his last two incendiary grenades and primed them tossing one into the hospital doors where a crowd was gathering he tossed the other into a group coming down the stret in one direction. looking at the girl he said " follow me or not its time to go." with that he started moving down the street. pulling his combat knife he put down a pair and made a break for the shadows right as his grenades went off. the front of the hospital caught but he hoped the internal sprinklers where working. the second got the group dead on and the napalm stuck. most of the group collapsed. Kail slid into the shadow of a alley tat was close to him and watched the chaos.
