Fantasy R.E.V.olution - Knights of Atlas (Character Creation)

"I am the ghost, yet I'm the one who's haunted?"
You probably want to know how to build and how much you're getting to start. I'm gonna be real with you. I don't know that yet. I kind of want a few people to help test this with me to determine that. What I do know is that these will be the core five things characters will need.

Stamina - Durability. Can you withstand the blazing heat of a ray fired at you? If you get frosted over much like the Kaiju, how long will you live?

Strength - This is self explanatory. This will explain how strong you are compared to opposition. Is there a Kaiju about to punch you? Can you physically match it blow for blow?

Speed - Again self explanatory. How fast you are compared to others. Is there debris about to fall on people? Can you pull a flash and run them past the problem before they're flattened?

Intelligence - How smart you are in dealing with a situation. Can you fix a busted R.E.V. Engine? Can you figure out the intricacies to unlock it's magical properties to commune with the elements.

Charisma - How liked you are by those around you. Suggestions are something that the people are susceptible to. Maybe you can get a Kaiju to listen to reason? Wouldn't it be funny if you just commanded the world around you to stop?

Let's get into the second part. How do these "Class" stats work. Like so...

For each stat there is a funny combo attribute. Example...

Stamina + Strength = Invincibility
Can you just ping that ray off you and deflect it like a DBZ character? Can you just stand in the fire and not burn?

Strength + Speed = Force
How many punches can you throw in 0.5 Seconds? Become a whole Jojo character. ORA!

Speed + Intelligence = Driving Skill
This stat is actually important. This kind of serves how you do cool things like it was seen in the preview. Casters can kind of be similar to green lantern with their respective element. Just choose an element. do something explosive in classic Magical Girl/Boy fashion.

Intelligence + Charisma = Negotiations
How well can you talk no jutsu out of a bad situation, Naruto?

And lastly I'll let you combine two of any of the five base stats for a personalized attribute.
Example: Stamina + Speed = Endurance
In which case how long can Flash do Flash things?

Okay, now, how do they combine?

For every one point put into the individual stats that one combined with another one from another stat should equal two, right? Yes... Normally. However in this case it will simply be one. That will keep powers even. As we never want to see a person with more Force than another person's invincibility not bowl them over. Alternatively, we never want to see a person not stand as a bulwark if they have the invincibility for it.

We're gonna start with 15 points to put in place. I started mathing 20 and it kind of just promotes a lot of situations with a lot of people being able to cover the same base.

So this is the example of a start with more of a negotiation attempt in mind. You see here the Special has been changed to Intimidation. Why is it like that ? You may be wondering. Well this gives me and you a better example of how I want this to kind of work. Remember the Special slot can take any two stats in the left hand side. Adding them together for the total. Keep in mind it also serves as a unique sort of power to the character aside from the vehicle/weapon/element.

Weapon: She wraps her own two fists in flames to serve as explosive boxing gloves. This can be extended to her feet in the same way.

Element: Fire (Again pictures aren't necessary. They are appreciated to get the point across.)

Specialty - Intimidation: (This can be explained in game if you want. I'm just doing this for the example.) Burnice is known for being strong enough to lift objects that weigh significantly more than her. Despite her tiny stature and that only further serves to instill fear into opposition. This show of force may lead to better negotiations against more confrontational foes. It may even serve to suggest that a Kaiju should run instead of staring her down.

Biography:

Height: 5' 7"

Weight: 121 lbs

Gender: Female

Race: Atlesian (Human) < This can be anything as previously mentioned. The only thing I ask is that you classify the preferred Fantasy aspect here. The Atlesian part is just in case I end up like making more content in the future beyond our island. Thank you.

Appearance: She has red hair to match her fiery temper. Red eyes normally green when using fire. Attire includes a shirt and jacket that have sleeves that do not burn when fire is present. The sleeves of the shirt double as fingerless gloves. Sneakers made from similar materials. A normal pair of shorts held up by a belt.

Personality: A hot head primarily. Quick to anger or show force to get her way. If you can get past the chaotic violence that is sure to come by being around her at first. You may be surprised to find a person who cares a lot more about those around her than initially thought.

Hobbies: Kick Boxing down at the local gym.

She has been a long time knight much like Shork being a third generation. She initially joined the Order of the 33's squires in hopes of becoming a scribe and serving to work on the Steeds. She had found she was destined for more. Much like Shork herself she serves now to mentor and teach newer squires their place in the world.

This is not my character. Just an example of one. if this character is used as part of the story. She'll just be a mentor type N.P.C. and will not have stats.​

Specialty - Pacifism: Jesse's best qualities are her speed and empathy. Her greatest wish is to avoid conflict. Not because of cowardice. Quite the contrary, it's cause she would rather find a solution through non-violence. She can stop time for a short period to manipulate the battlefield to push oncoming real time blows and projectiles out of the way effortlessly, move people out of the way from oncoming threats, and perform other useful actions.

Race: Atlesian (Human)

Appearance: Outside of her Pacifist speed state. She has lengthy bluish-black hair, a round childish face and brown eyes. She commonly wears the standard uniform for the Squires.
However, common band shirts and skirts can be seen in her down time when not on duty or in class.

When in the pacifist state her hair flairs up and glows pink. Also her eyes take on a green hue.

Personality: Normally a bubbly happy go lucky type of woman. She is ever the optimist. She tries to keep a good attitude about things even when they're bleakest. It's not like she doesn't know bad things happen. She just knows she can over come them with a little effort. She is the phrase "No use crying over spilled milk." incarnate.

Hobbies: She plays bass. She loves to cook despite being bad at the latter. She would classify herself as a people watcher.

Backstory: She is a Squire/Student at the Academy for the Order. A very ordinary girl with no real talent if you asked her teachers. She doesn't let people really in on the secret that she has an ability that can stop time. This is solely out of the fear that those around her would be targeted by local crimefor being around someone like her. The amount of people who know about her power could be counted on a single hand. Mostly because they caught her using it for personal gain in the form of stopping the clock for written tests.

This caught the eye of a few of the more perceptive teachers. Her power was unique but not unheard of. When checked, they traced her lineage back to the original 33 the order was named for. They couldn't understand why a person like her wouldn't try to use her power more and out on the front lines. She could have been being trained for jousting and actual combat and would have been a God send for the front lines against on coming threats.

Yet, she pleaded they not tell. She swore up and down that someone like her was better here on the island. Protecting the people at home. They didn't argue. Even if her lineage held that kind of power. It was hers to use as she saw fit. Even if they viewed it as squandering her gifts. She just believed in making "Peace not war." Not all Kaiju could be bad, right?​

Specialty - Acceleration: Milora's body produces and stores lighting that can be expended in one of two ways. Internal expending and external expending. External is fairly self explanatory. She releases the stored lighting outward which she can use for various means such as charging her equipment. Internal is more of a risk. By expending the Lightning inside her body she can boost the speed and strength of her movements and attacks. However this is rarely used due to her body having a hard time keeping up with the explosive movements that go past her bodies limit.

Race: Draknyr (dragonkin or half dragon)


Appearance: Milora can commonly be found wearing tight fitting jeans that match a dark bikers jacket. Her horns, eyes and scales match the golden colour of her hair signifying a hint of her bloodline. She sports an athletic build and a long tail.


Personality. Milora is described as an energetic person who has a hard time sitting still. She always wants to be doing something. She comes across as a scary person at first. Although not many get to see it, she's a pretty smart person always working on something in her garage. Those who get to see her working on stuff gets to see her as an excited mechanic with adhd.

Hobbies: Milora loves fixing things. Be it her bike or equipment. When she's not fixing or working on something she's seen racing. Or finding something sweet though she will always deny it.

Backstory: Milora comes from a family of cooks. Growing up she was taught the proper way to cook and run a restaurant, though she never had a passion for it. As she got older she discovered a curiosity for how things are built and how to build machines. Thus starting her on her path of grease and oil. Her parents didn't approve of her new passion hoping she would take over the family business. However being the rebellious child she was didn't pay them any heed. Later in her life she was enrolled in the academy as a scribe by her parents hoping to straighten her out. However it did the opposite.

During her time in the academy, milora gained a reputation a delinquent who would rather spend her time joking around with friends and skipping class. Only really showing up for practical lessons or exams. It was when she actually showed up, she showed a remarkable skill at hitting a target from a distance and developing her own equipment. Becoming protective over her stuff only letting people help if she truly needed it.

She's now in her last year of the academy. Mostly doing self study and perfecting her techniques. Waiting until she can truly become a knight and do what she wants without her parents nagging

Vehicle: AH-6 Little Bird

A light military helicopter outfitted for combat, with a modified (but cramped) cabin that allows for a co-pilot or airlifting of one incapacitated person. A novel feature of this Steed enabled by magic is that the bulk of the vehicle can be jettisoned, embedding the divine engine to the pilot as a rotor pack, allowing for greater agility and the ability to use two of the rotor blades as oversized but deceptively agile swords while the remaining four grant the pilot continued flight. As a tradeoff, operating in infantry mode lacks the sustained speed, stability, and meager protection of the helicopter's cabin. Once the body is jettisoned and the transformation occurs, the engine cannot be re-integrated to transform back into helicopter form until it has been retrieved and repaired by support staff.

Weaponry:
Aside from the blades Tethys wields in her Steed's infantry mode, she also has access to a rotary cannon and a pair of missile pods in both modes. However, sustained fire in infantry mode is less stable and accurate due to her reduced mass. As a final backup, she carries an electrified baton seemingly at the demands of the Academy.

Element: Distortion
At Tethys' will, the impacts of her Steed and its weapons tend to leave behind areas of distortion that persist for no more than a minute. Within these areas, space functions oddly, causing objects and motion to curve and deflect, as well as distances to become either longer or shorter.

Special: Microsensory Perception
Tethys' awakened magical ability grants her a peculiar level of perception of her surroundings, even outside the abilities of her mundane senses. She can detect the rough size, position, and movements of objects and organisms in a wide area around her even if she hasn't otherwise perceived them, and can precisely keep track of things she's already noticed but have left her field of view. This makes her good at tracking and scouting in either combat or rescue situations, and difficult to ambush on top of adding to her combat effectiveness.

Biography:
As utopian as the city of Atlas appeared to be, not everyone was having an equally good time. The girl now named Tethys was not born anywhere near Atlas' borders, but nevertheless found her way there at some point in the past. It's possible that she was fleeing something terrible, or something as mundane as an inhospitable home. She has yet to tell. Either way, when she arrived in Atlas, she made herself right at home. The girl fell in with subversive, criminal elements within the less-privileged parts of the city, engaging in petty theft, vandalism, and trespassing for her own amusement as much as for her own survival. Her comfortably criminal way of life came to an end when she ran afoul of a patrol of the Order and was arrested. She had nothing to look forward to in terms of her future except years of prison, if not for her fortunate identification as someone with magical potential. With that, she was instead placed into the Academy under supervision, made to train as a Squire and pilot a Steed in order to battle threats to the city.

As she is now, Tethys is a cool, aloof, but not uncivil person. She likes people to know that she can solve the problems they face, or at least she likes them to think she can do anything just as well as them, if not better. Other than that, however, she's not a great talker and tends to falter when she gets tripped up or the spotlight is on someone else.

Hobbies: Tethys has distanced herself from her criminal past, but is still enthusiastic about climbing and carrying out "urban exploration" whenever she can. She also enjoys practicing sleight of hand tricks and other tasks that require fine manual dexterity.

Appearance:
Tethys is a fairly ordinary-looking olive-skinned young woman with a slim build, narrow eyes and fine but not overly sharp features. Her black, past shoulder length hair is exceedingly straight with uncut bangs, leading to her often needing to push it out of her face. A minor detail pertaining to her features is that her hair tends to billow and her eyes flicker different colors during intense situations. She strictly wears the uniform of the Academy most of her waking hours regardless of the situation, leading to it often getting folded and messed up, if not torn. However, the few times she doesn't, she trends towards casual, baggy clothing like oversized shirts and sweatpants.
