Question

I'm just wanting to know up to how many extra threads we're allowed to request for a roleplay. I know I can just create one and check, but I like to plan extensively and if there's a restriction I can plan accordingly.


The extra threads I would include would be:


Settings


In depth gang descriptions


Notes (where we would keep important plot points)


Rules


And maybe another with open spots available


If there is a restriction though, I can obviously double some of these up.

I see your little conundrum and I've arrived to act as a helping hand.


Whilst I, personally, am not aware of a special limit imposed on the GM of a roleplay, I wouldn't recommend you just get a very large amount of extra threads.


Rather, I suggest you use the Tabs BBCode to help you in your efforts. For example, instead of Indepth gang descriptions you could have 'Lore', and on that tab you place multiple tabs through the Tabs BBCode, one being Gangs/factions, etc. Rules could also go well with the Overview page, simply through Tabs, and I'd recommend that the open spots are placed in the CS page. Settings could also be put in the Lore tab, so on so forth.


So, instead of finding excuses for more tabs, try to work them into one gathered place.


Certainly, there are things, such as Note, that cannot really be put with another, same for Mechanics, but that's about all.


This is to make it easier and faster for both you and your players, but also less disorganized, etc.

You can request as many as you want, it's no trouble, just remember to be patient as the thread assigning is done manually and can take some time depending on how stretched out the staff is at that time.

Yes, tab requests are not automated and do require staff to manually add them. As you might image, it may take a little bit for us to get around to them, especially if they're are a lot of requests or we're away. Our awesome moderator @CloudyBlueDay wrote an awesome tutorial on all things tabs: A guide to roleplay tabs. (:
